"Charleston’s known for seafood, so a coastal Italian restaurant like Costa fits right in. The menu changes often, but we've had great hamachi crudo with the unexpected but welcome addition of blueberries and a plate of shrimp (caught by a purveyor down the road) with sungold tomatoes and calabrian chili. The one thing that seems to stick around (for good reason) is the beef cheek tortellini that’s fortified with braised octopus and bone marrow gremoulata. The warm and grand space with its floor-to-ceiling windows and open kitchen makes this restaurant feel like it could exist in any other big city. But the servers are so damn nice, the southern charm makes the whole operation feel right at home." - Jai Jones
