"Giralda Avenue is a mixed bag of wonderful restaurants and terrible ones. But you can mark Dojo Izakaya down as one of the greats. Like any proper izakaya, they’ve got great karaage and yakitori. But there’s also a more exciting tonkatsu pork chop, Denver steak, and other rotating Japanese dishes that deviate a centimeter from what you’d expect. That includes delicate raw scallops with corn in ponzu or okonomiyaki with pickled guanciale. This place is casual enough to grab a bite with co-workers after a day of presentations with too many numbers, yet cute and impressive enough for a sake-filled first date." - virginia otazo, ryan pfeffer
