The Best Croquetas In Miami, Ranked

"Price Per Croqueta: $1.98 La Casita is a full-service Cuban restaurant, so you can come here for a big meal and enjoy a plate of mariquitas with a bowl of ropa vieja. Other dishes are a little hit or miss, but you can always count on their croquetas. Their masa is rich and smooth, but the breading is just perfect: crunchy, not too heavy, and crispy enough to drag a finger across and hear a crackle like the static from a dead radio channel. Miami’s Top Cuban Restaurants

"Nestled in Little Coral Gables, La Casita has become a beloved Cuban eatery thanks to the Vilariño family, known for their work with Las Vegas Cuban Cuisine. Sample daily specials like the arroz imperial (a hearty chicken and rice dish with ham, mayo, and cheese) paired with sweet plantains or the freshly cooked fish fillet served with a choice of sides, all for under $10. Treat yourself to a carafe of sangria or try one of their popular Cuban sodas, including Materva, Jupiña, and Ironbeer." - Stacy A. Moya

La Casita - Review - Coral Gables - Miami - The Infatuation

"La Casita is a classic Cuban spot on 8th Street that’s a bit hit or miss. There are some standout items on the menu like croquetas so thick and crispy, you can drag a finger across the outside and hear it crackle. But the vaca frita is a bit dry, (ask for a side of mojo to help it soak in some juices), the white rice is hard and brittle, and the black beans are thin. It’s quieter and more mature than other Cuban restaurants—tables are lined with white linen and smooth jazz plays in the background. But menu misses aside, it’s still a good option if you’re looking for a time-tested Cuban restaurant in Coral Gables." - Virginia Otazo

I took my mom here since she loves Cuban food and the reviews are great for this place so my expectations were high. The service was friendly and great. Plenty of parking which was a plus as well. The food was fire 🔥 it was better than I expected and I definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to eat good Cuban food!

As a Cuban, I know Cuban food inside and out—and to be honest, it's not the most complex cuisine out there. That said, some Cuban restaurants still manage to elevate the flavors and really stand out. La Casita Cuban Cuisine was... fine. The food was good, but nothing out of this world. It wasn’t bad by any means, but it didn’t leave a strong impression either. If you're looking for a decent Cuban meal, this place will get the job done. Just don’t expect anything unforgettable.

Google
Authentic, flavorful Cuban food in a cozy, homestyle setting. The Ropa Vieja and Cubano sandwich are standouts, and the Tres Leches cake is a must-try. Friendly service and generous portions make it feel like you’re eating at Abuela’s. Way better than the touristy spots—this place is a true hidden gem.

Very delicious. Came here after finding it on Google while visiting Miami. Amazing service, quick food, 10/10 food. I got the oxtail with sweet plantains and rice. My friend got the red snapper. We both had a great experience. Highly recommend

Google
I LOVE La Casita. I’ve stopped by two years in a row during my trips to Miami. The food is perfection and the service is wonderful. Their vacation frita is the best I’ve ever had and everything from appetizers to dessert is truly amazing. Their flan is also a must have! This restaurant is clean and the servers are so kind and attentive!

Happened to be passing, and hungry so gave it a try. Going to be going back. Place is clean, service was fast and efficient. Food turned up quickly, staff attentive. And the food quality top notch. Started with a red bean soup. Perfectly seasoned. The croquettes had some dipping sauce I've not had before that took them to another level. Had the pan con bistec with fries. Must have been fresh oil too, the fries were very light and tasty. Cafe con leche was a bit too dark for my taste but they brought over a frothy milk to add to it. All perfection. End up picking wife up from nearby and taking her there. I'd only been gone 10 minutes before they saw me again, and wifey loved all her food too. She also had the red bean soup and chicken vaca frita I think it was. Only slight issue was going back again, heard the same musak again on loop, poor staff. Great place, will be back

Google
As a Cuban American born and raised in Miami, THIS is the higher end Cuban restaurant I go to when I need a fix for genuine, higher quality Cuban cuisine. I even came directly from the airport and in my exhaustion, I left my purse behind. The next morning, it was there waiting for me w not a thing missing. So, the kind of place you can rest assured to get a great meal and be safe to leave your kids behind. ;)

Yelp
This place is a gem! The place is cozy, there's plenty of seating and the service is superb. This place has the most authentic Cuban food! We loved this place so much that we went twice during our vacation in Miami! T

Yelp
I've been eating at this spot for many, many years and I've tried almost everything on the menu, I've never had an issue with the food, or staff. Bistec a la juliana with rice, beans, and sweet plantains is my favorite dish! It's extremely flavorful and simply delicious. The restaurant is always clean and neat making it a delightful dining experience.

Yelp
Came here for lunch. They seemed to have been understaffed and the service was a bit slow. I ordered the chicken Vaca frita. I have to tell you ir was amazing. Nice a crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Not sure how they managed that but happy they did! I got an ajiaco to go and that was super tasty.

Yelp
I recently had the pleasure of dining at La Casita in Coral Gables, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The restaurant offers authentic Cuban cuisine that never disappoints. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm, inviting atmosphere and friendly staff. The menu boasts a variety of dishes, but the standout for me was their croquetas - thick and perfectly crispy. I also tried their grilled specialties, which were cooked to perfection and served in generous portions. The flavors were rich and authentic, truly capturing the essence of Cuban cuisine. What impressed me most was the combination of great food, affordable prices, and excellent service. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, enhancing the overall dining experience. La Casita is a gem in Coral Gables, offering a taste of Cuba in a comfortable setting. Whether you're craving classic Cuban dishes or looking for a new favorite spot, La Casita is definitely worth a visit. I'll certainly be returning to explore more of their menu!

Yelp
The cool interior was a welcome respite from the Miami heat. Loved the decor and atmosphere. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our food was delicious. the yuca fries were probably the best we've had. Crispy! I had the Churrasco special and my husband had the pork--so tender he cut with a fork. Our Uber driver recommended this place and we were glad he did.

Yelp
La Casita Cuban Cuisine is a Cuban restaurant in Coral Gables. The parking is in front of the restaurant with an attendant to guide you where to park. The restaurant is very busy and looks bright and clean. I came to celebrate a friend's birthday and they allowed me to bring a cake for dessert. One of my friends and I ordered the Vaca Frita on a bed plantain fufu, congri, and salad. My other friend ordered rabo encendido, white rice, and salad. We shared a coconut flan for dessert and it was amazing. One thing I didn't like was that they had an online coupon that popped up when I signed in for buy 1 drink get another free. However, the waiter said that that was from the former owners and they don't honor the coupon anymore. I feel they should take the coupon off Yelp or honor it. Due to this 4/5. Nonetheless, the food was plentiful and delicious. I definitely recommend this restaurant!

Yelp
The service here was top notch. Attentive and very friendly, even though we did not speak Spanish well. Food was simple looking, yet full of flavor. The plantains were soo good, not too big and the overall meals were soo great, balanced and different for us. The rainbow trout was such a light and full filling dish. The portions were soo generous we could not finish them. For a great reasonably priced Cuban meal, drop in and check it out!! You know it's good, when most of the clientele are all speaking Spanish.

Yelp
Food was delicious ! Buttery bread was brought to the table. Also ordered bacalao fritters and they were really good. For the main entree we had Tasajo a la Plancha and it delivered ! It was crunchy and tasty with white rice and delicious Potaje de Colorados. I had not found a potaje de colorados like this in any Cuban restaurant. Food was delicious and we can't wait to return. Only draw back was that we wanted Cascos de Guayaba with cream cheese and they had run out. Next time !

Yelp
Food at La Casita Restaurant was really good, but nothing came out hot. Asked them to please heat up the Tamal and it came right back with added hot onions, but the Tamal was still just warm. I let it go and didn't say anything. It was good anyway. Entrees also came out just warm, although I asked if she could please tell the kitchen I wanted it to be hot. That was disappointing but the food was reeeally good. So do I recommend it? Yes. However, if you're anything like me and like your food HOT, make sure you tell them and hopefully you will do better than me.

Yelp
A nice discovery in the coral gables area , recommended by locals and not disappointed. Attentive service upon entering, ample location but A/C should be adjusted a less cold to better enjoy the meal. The food is really good, impeccable presentation and prices are average My table ordered Masa 's De Puerco, Baby Palomilla, Arroz Con Pollo and ensalada César A pitcher of sangria beautifully served but over sweet to my palate The finish cafecito was impecable and perfect!

Yelp
I worked for years a block away so we used to call this the company cafeteria. It's in a non descript shopping center a few blocks away from the ever popular and vastly over rated Versailles. The dining room is a large square with booths along the walls and tables filling the middle. Nice and clean but just your typical Cuban restaurant. The service is usually excellent alright tonight not so much. The reason I come here? The food.one of the best spots to get a traditional Cuban meal of high quality. The masa's de puerco are superb. Always a crispy on the outside and warm and soft in the inside. The garbanzo soup ( served only on Tuesday I think ) is as good as my mom used to make. Every other dish I have had here is excellent and a huge amount of food for the money.

Yelp
I've had good Cuban food all over town, but actually finding a Cuban restaurant with nostalgic flavors and dishes transporting me back to my grandparents' kitchen as a child - never have I ever. Not until I dined at La Casita that is. I came for lunch and was immediately greeted and seated. Hot, buttered pressed Cuban bread brought to the table. Decided on starting with the mariquitas to share. A simple enough snack to get the appetite going but not fill you up too much before the main dish. Main dishes: -Ropa vieja (shredded beef cooked in a tomato based sauce) served with two sides -Potaje de frijoles colorado (part of the lunch menu. Essentially, it's a stew with red beans, chorizo, ham, potato, calabaza) The potaje was THE dish that won me over. It tasted EXACTLY how my grandmother would make it. It's funny how we tend to chase/recreate memories, feelings, and even flavors that remind us of our past, yet, many times we come up short. La Casita, however, exceeded all expectations. And of course, we couldn't leave before having a cafecito. Buen provecho!

Yelp
Free parking, elegant dining room with comfortable seating, great service fast and friendly. We ordered Picadillo,Ropa Vieja and beef soup. You could taste the quality of the ingredients and the authentic homemade recipe in the soup, it was AMAZING! The Ropa Vieia was cooked to perfection, excellent flavor not too salty, the best that I've tried anywhere in a while! The Picadillo was a large portion also delicious and cooked to perfection. The coffee and flan were great as well. We will definitely become regulars here! They have a parking lot with free parking. One of the best Cuban restaurants in Miami. Also much quieter than the other places. The servers and managers care! Enjoy!

Yelp
Tasty, authentic, and affordable. La Casita's Cuban dishes evoke nostalgic flavors that transport you back to your grandparents' kitchen. Friendly, attentive, and impeccable. Servers are quick to take your order, and the overall customer service is awesome.

Yelp
Just had a lunch there yesterday with my mother. The prices were reasonable. The food portions were good too. Great variety of food and quality was so fantastic. My mom had the Tostones and I had the Picadillo which was really good and so delicious. Super tasty food and very decent. The restaurant has amazing atmosphere, inside has nice decor. Plenty of tables and spacious too.

Yelp
La Casita, a family owned Cuban gem in Coral Gables that we were beyond excited to have found! A group of us were in town for work and I was tasked with finding a good Cuban spot for the group. Well, it did not take long once I hit Yelp to find La Casita...and we were off! When you arrive to La Casita, it is an unassuming diner on the corner that is attached to a small shopping plaza. Due to the plaza, parking is available and no issue. There are two entrances in, but the locals know the right one which brings you in by the host stand...all of us out of towners walked in the other which puts you right in the middle of the dining room, smh. Now we know though! The interior of the place is just as simple and basic as the outside. No frills here....tables, chairs, booths and minimal artwork combined with a tiled ceiling and basic worn carpet. It feels like you have been transported back to the 90's, but it really does feel like one of those local, family owned diners. It's a vibe. lol Alright, now you get the feel for the place, let's talk food! There were 10 of us, so we started with appetizers, 7 of them including...Croquetas, Tamal con Lechon, Cuban sandwich, Media Noche sandwich, Ground Beef Tostones, and Empanadas. All were absolutely delicious however the Tamal con Lechon and Empanadas were the table favorites! I definitely voted for the Tamal, and loved it so much that I ended up getting it as my entrée sided with an order of tostones. Perfect match! A few other dishes that received rave reviews were the Media Noche and Bistec Empanizado. Service was decent, no major issues and he did well considering we were a table of 10. Overall, really great spot that clearly has history in Coral Gables. From the atmosphere to the décor to the food...they have something that isn't broken, so why fix it!? Is it the best Cuban food I have ever had? No, but when you put it all together, it is the most authentic and it was pretty dang delicious!
google avatar

Yelp
The chicken soup was yummy. The large was a good amount to split with two people. Also got the Cuban sandwich which was ok.

Yelp
I came here for Sunday lunch with the fam. I was so excited to try it because I've heard such great things about this place! They opened at 12 and we arrived around 12:30. It was not crowded at all and we were able to be seated immediately. I recommend arriving before 1pm, because it did start to get very crowded (there is parking, but can get crowded as well). The service was good and the wait staff were very attentive. The menu has a lot of delicious dishes, but we ordered the filete de pescado en salsa criolle, camarones Al ajillo, and the baby palomilla. The salsa criolle was so delicious - very flavorful and filling, but not a heavy feeling which is wonderful! The black beans and rice were very tasty as well. The garlic sauce that the shrimp came in was also very delicious! We finished with a flan which put a perfect ending to an overall amazing lunch experience! Will definitely be back soon.

Yelp
We were at this restaurant on July 21st. Our group had 8, a reservation was made. The service was not very good. They rarely came back to check on us. When we first arrived there were very few people but still service was slow despite the fact that there were people standing around. The food was good, although I didn't like my dish at all, tasajo and the second person that the table that ordered the same didn't seem impressed. My husband liked his dish of pollo a la plancha, he said was good. The others at the table ordered masa's de puerco, and lamb and they enjoyed it. The cheese flan was very good. I will probably not return as I have other Cuban restaurants that I enjoy more.
google avatar

Reyna C.

Yelp
Food was delicious, the garlic sauce for the yuca Frita was a little too buttery but it was still passable, but everything else was amazing. Service was excellent and modern dining room atmosphere
google avatar

Courtnee A.

Yelp
Delicious!!! I've had cuban food before but never like this! I got the arroz con pollo and just let me tell you that the portions are huge! I didn't check the restrooms, but there is parking. Apparently this place is always packed. I loved the tostones and the fried potatoes. My food was in special that day so it was $9.99 for a whole plate of arroz con pollo. I loved it here and the service was great and you could tell that everyone who goes there loves the food and the ambiance
google avatar

Nevin H.

Yelp
What an amazing find-thank you Yelp!! Definitely a local spot that you HAVE TO SEEK OUT!! This place is definitely my go to place when I come to this area! I did not go deep into a truly authentic Cuban meal as I tried to super officiously try some more items that I was familiar with and have had it other Cuban restaurants. I started off with the Chicharrón de Pollo con Cebolla Cocinada, which was basically marinated pieces of cube chicken that were deep-fried and served with sautéed onions. OMG, amazingly delicious. Served hot and did not last long once it hit my fork. My entrée was a Pan con Bistec con Papas Fritas, which was basically a Cuban steak sandwich served with sautéed onions on a fresh Cuban roll. This was also one of the few times that the meal I ordered came with french fries that were amazingly fresh and hot and came right out of the fryer. I also had a side of Ajo, which is a unbelievably delicious garlic sauce that I slathered my steak sandwich in. Just like my appetizer, this was an extremely tasty sandwich that I would definitely order again. With the caveat that I tried everything else on the menu and came back to this! I finished my meal off with a Cuban coffee that was as delicious as everything else I had for my meal. I highly recommend this restaurant to anybody in the area and as I mentioned, I look forward to coming back and trying other menu items myself.

Yelp
Great service, awesome food quality and no one hour waiting time like Versalles and La Carreta. If you are in Calle ocho, stop by to enjoy a nice non-noisy lunch or dinner.

Bruce R.

Yelp
Pretty much my favorite Cuban restaurant. The food is consistently good, service is fine, and it's always a nice experience. I always eat too much of the Cuban bread they pop on to the table when you sit down. The food is classic Cuban comfort food. Portions are substantial. I like it lots better than the more famous place a few blocks away.

Aurelien M.

Yelp
Amazing service, very nice and knowledgeable waiters. Ox tail was cook to perfection and the lamb shank was not overcooked like I usually see at other places.
google avatar

Sharon L.

Yelp
The food was excellent. We ordered vaca grits, yuca con mojo, croquetas, ajiaco, batido de Mamey and a few more dishes. It was delicious and very authentic Cuban. The service was perfect and we enjoyed the ambiance created by the food, staff, music and linen covered tables. I would recommend this place and will most definitely be back.
google avatar

Elizabeth P.

Yelp
I absolutely love my neighborhood restaurant- great service, ample parking, great a/c and fair prices. Best ever Cuban food- fresh, hot and abundant . One of the few places that still serve bread and table water plus an added carafe so you do not have to hail for a refill. It is also one of the few places were you can get a protein plus two sides in one price aka "una completa" I prefer this spot 20x over touristy Versailles. Thank you La Casita for always satisfying my Cuban cravings.
google avatar

Alexa C.

Yelp
There are many reasons why this establishment ranks at the top of my list for Cuban food in miami but we'll start at the key points. First of all, it's never loud. I know...it's amazing. Second, the lighting isn't too bright or too dim. The tables are perfectly set with the white linen tablecloths and the servers are ready to take your order in a heartbeat. I will brag that they have the thinnest paper thin mariquitas I've ever found. They're always fresh! The prices are extremely appealing for the quality and quantity of each portion. I've been able to try so many dishes here because they tend to rotate the main heavy hitters on the daily special menu and I go ham for a good deal. Like this place deserves so much clout. It's always authentic & I never have tried a dish that wasn't prepared to order. That's not always the case when it comes to restaurants in the area so you can confide in the quality and cleanliness of La Casita to really bring that home cooked meal to you in a restaurant setting. I've never tried a lemonade like theirs. It's almost like a lemon mint slurpie except it's not. They have the good ice too! It's a winning situation no matter what angle you look at it from. The service is impeccable and the meal is certainly guaranteed to satisfy your Cuban food cravings. It's hearty, it's priced well, it's made well & they serve it with pride. How could you go wrong ?
google avatar

Yelp
A family meal at La Casita is always a great idea! Great food, service, and full belly = happiness! This time around ate the Bistec con Arroz Blanco, Frijoles y Tostones and it hit the spot! The bistec was delicious, cooked to perfection, juicy, and the sides were great as always. Tried the Tostones Rellenos with Ropa Vieja and they tasted great. I like how the tostones were in the shape of tiny bowls. I did not try the Tostones Rellenos with Picadillo, but they did look delicious. Tried one Ham Croqueta (forgot the photo) and it was yummy, despite not being a fan of ham croquetas anymore since I prefer chicken. But if I had to eat ham croquetas, I would eat them from La Casita. Overall, it's always a pleasure to eat at La Casita! Every time I have eaten here throughout the years, the dishes never disappoint, price is great for portions and quality, service is always friendly and wonderful and atmosphere is great.

Yelp
quick trolley bus from Ponce De Leon Blvd in Coral Gables. ordered ropa vieja. quick service

Juliana L.

Yelp
Food is good. There was a gentleman sitting at the booth next to ours listening to his phone super loud. Manager didn't want to bother to ask him to turn it down. Super unpleasant experience. Will not return

Isabel H.

Yelp
Great Arroz con pollo recomen you order ahead they make it fresh the service is great and the food is always very good nice ambiance

Yelp
My second time here! I have a dear friend that lives in the area so when I go visit her we look for places to eat & I came here! It's really good! Service & food! Prices are decent. It's way better than the one that's a block or too down I mean way better!
google avatar

Gerry L.

Yelp
It's been years since I have eaten at the La Casita restaurant located on the edge of Coral Gables, so this past week my coworkers and I decided to have lunch there. Luckily we were seated right before the lunch rush, and we decided to order the plantain chips with mojo. The chips were perfect and had the right texture. For the main entree I decided to order the baby palomilla steak with white rice and sweet plantains. I was amazed on the size of the baby portion, almost good for two people to share and the meat was super tender, juicy, and flavorful. The prices are also good and service were also excellent!

Jackie G.

Yelp
Hands down, the best Cuban food in Miami ! They use the freshest ingredients and make sure each dish is done right and delicious. The vaca frita was especially memorable. Must try!"
google avatar

Anna H.

Yelp
A classic Miami staple, La Casita has some of the best Cuban food in Miami. The service is friendly and can give you recommendations if you need it, but honestly you can't go wrong with anything you choose. The portions are huge, and everything is delicious! Whenever we go, there are lots of large groups. We also usually go with an elderly family member (98 yo, limited mobility) and they always accommodate her wonderfully and give us a table with easy access.
google avatar

Ilmia A.

Yelp
I work nearby and this is one of my go to spots for lunch. Consistent in serving fresh and delicious Cuban food. I usually get vaca frita with rice and beans and grilled veggies, but I've had some of their other dishes and liked them as well. The portions are large. The coffee is also very good. Being Cuban myself I love having a decent Cuban food spot nearby to order from often.
google avatar

Lourdes M.

Yelp
Excellent food and service. Classic and very tasty delicious food. We had the tostones with shrimp appetizer and the vaca frita with rice and black beans. Delicious!!
google avatar

Venessia C.

Yelp
As a Mexican that has never tried Cuban food I left completely satisfied. Everything was great from the bread, rice, beans and the ropa vieja
google avatar

Ad J.

Yelp
If you are looking for authentic Cuban cuisine, then look no further. I had lunch as La Casita- - the baby palomilla steak with black bean soup, white rice and plantains were amazing! Steak was perfectly cooked! Highly recommend if you're in town!
google avatar

Jennifer S.

Yelp
If you want hearty Cuban food that takes 10/15 minutes to come out when you order, go to La Casita! It's a popular restaurant of choice by those in my office as it's literally right across the street and they are VERY GIVING with their portions. Mind you, it's not the absolute best Cuban food you might've tried (can't compare to momma's or abuela's cooking) but it gets the job done. And the best part is that it's cheap! And they have weekly specials. Plus they have a wide selection of meats and poultry and seafood so you'll never get bored with your options. And might I add, the food is not that greasy either so that's always a plus! Heads up, parking is terrible in the plaza where it's located . I suggest you Uber or try to find street parking instead.
google avatar

JS F.

Yelp
The service is excellent. No question. I also imagine that for people who were born or raised in Cuba, I am guessing this food is like home cooking. Unfortunately for my gringo palate I found the quality, preparation, and TASTE of the food I was served to be very subpar especially given the prices. That's about all I've got to say. YMMV. :-)

G P.

Yelp
This place is a gem. Great service and wonderful food. I know Versailles get most of the attention in Little Havana but I honestly liked La Casita just as much as I liked Versailles
google avatar

Kim P.

Yelp
Visiting with my Cuban in-laws ( I was born and raised it Miami) and they suggested La Casita for a Sunday lunch . Atmosphere was great , place was packed, service pretty good. Don't order the fish! We asked server which was best , was and went with the Mahi - Looked like it was formed and had been frozen for awhile! Couldn't finish it ... ugh .... Black beans and rice were yummy ... but stick with basic Cuban food here. Tres Leche desert was outstanding
google avatar

Joey L.

Yelp
In a city full of Cuban restaurants, you better be good. We ate at La Casita years ago and it was great, but on a recent outing it was extremely sub-par. I consider Cuban Cuisine to be a simple affair but when you cannot produce even a decent pan con bistec, void of any character or flavor it's disappointing. Not even the fries that accompanied the sandwich were very good. All in all, not very gratifying. On the good side the atmosphere and service were on point, but the food was not my favorite and nothing stood out.

Yelp
My review is based on my first time actually eating in this restaurant. I have order plenty of times from here since I work 2 blocks away and only have half hr lunch. I was blown away with the inside. it's very welcoming and upscale. The moment you walk in you are seated and giving water and bread which is so tasty. We ordered mariquitas that can with an oil garlic dip. Delicious but very strong so a little goes a long way.... My dish was Camarones enchilados which were oh so YUMMY and big. Although the portion seemed small, believe me, the 6 extra large shrimps served with white rice and your second choice of side is sufficient for $12. I will definitely be trying more of their lunch specials. Their homemade chicken soup is a must when your feeling like having something warm

Yelp
We went for a family lunch and had a great time. Our server was very friendly and attentive. To start, we ordered the appetizer sampler, it had a little bit of everything. Plantain chips, yuca chips, fried calamari, and potatoes. It also had different dipping sauces to go with the food. Everyone ordered something different and all looked good. I had the tostones with shrimp and it was delicious. I'd definitely recommend this place for lunch or dinner.

Yelp
Arguably some of the very best Cuban food that Miami has to offer, and as a city that does not lack for great Cuban cuisine, I would classify LaCasita as a giant in this category. Located on Calle Ocho in the Gables, I have been coming to LaCasita for twenty years and I have never left the restaurant feeling anything but total satisfaction. Ropa Vieja and Vaca Frita are to die for. Treat yourself to the Flan as well!
