"Butcher & Bee is a long-time East Nashville staple that’s an excellent choice for a lazy weekend brunch—especially if it's a nice day and you want to eat outside on their spacious patio. The food has increasingly begun to lean more into Mediterranean and Middle Eastern territory and we’re not mad at it. The brunch menu includes some great dishes that support that statement like hummus with skhug, a lox platter with sambal-pickled onion, shakshuka, and a shortstack of pancakes drizzled with a thick chocolate tahini maple syrup. The seasonal gazoz—a fruit shrub with sparkling water—is a nice NA alternative to a mimosa." - jackie gutierrez jones 2, ann walczak
