"In the back of an eyeglass store in the Meatpacking District, someone by the name of Papi Pet-Nat will pour you something natural, from Slovakia, that tastes like a ripe apple. If this sounds speakeasy-ish to you, we had the same thought at first. But this high-ceilinged back room, separated from the store by a thin curtain, feels more like a lounge where you can follow your bifocal browsing with a bottle of wine, if you want. Nobody, including Papi Pet-Nat himself, seems too sure how long they will continue to pour wine in the back of Krewe.
