"Dear Irving is a single bar divided into a few different sections, and each section has its own theme. One has a 1920s theme with beaded curtains and Art Deco light fixtures, another looks like a penthouse living room from the 1960s, and there’s also space with gold-trimmed velvet furniture that feels like a chamber at Versailles where various members of the royal family would pet dogs and take naps. Depending on which decade or century you currently identify with, you can sit in any one of these rooms. Just be sure to make a reservation, and plan on spending a significant amount of money. Cocktails here aren’t cheap - but that’s what you should expect from a place where you can sit on a velvet couch and press a button to call your server." - bryan kim
