"Once a yakitori counter, these days Humble Chicken is a tight-knit fine dining spot making Japanese and European-influenced dishes. There are 18 seats and 16 courses at dinner, but with mid-2000s pop pumping and a mini pig trotter bao in front of you, this three-figure experience feels laid-back. The snacks are excellent, with arguably the best mussel in town, and the deconstructed cheesecake with grated frozen mandarin is a mad scientist creation that impresses. Not everything hits dizzying heights and sometimes the playlist can get a bit too Capital.
