Taqueria Mi Trailita

"In a gas station’s rocky parking lot on Manor Road, the trailer Taqueria Mi Trailita serves very solid renditions of the classics like campechano, carnitas, and lengua. But it’s Mi Trailita’s consistently outstanding breakfast tacos that are worth driving clear across town for, like the migas or the herby breakfast sausage, all with a generous shower of cheese. While Taqueria Mi Trailita’s very good corn tortillas are handmade in the trailer, the flour tortillas are store-bought - but they spend the right amount of time on the griddle. The gas station is sometimes busy, which makes parking a challenge, sort of like a slow motion, stop-and-go Mad Max: Fury Road situation. During peak hours there can be a wait, so it’s best to call ahead or you might end up sitting at the covered picnic tables a bit. photo credit: Taylor Hannan" - Raphael Brion
