"Show up to Hong Kong Clay Pot Restaurant in Chinatown with a group as big as a boy band so you can enjoy a massive meal in this homey space. This second floor restaurant is easy to miss unless you’re looking straight up, but once you find the right set of stairs, you’ll enter an oasis of well-priced, well-sized, and well-seasoned clay pot dishes. The menu is about the length of a children’s book and there are a few heavy hitters from each section (like the spicy jellyfish with pineapple and a tangy sauce or the nicely charred beef chow fun) but you should make sure to get as many clay pots as can fit on the lazy susan at your table. Start off with the eggplant pot that’s simmered to perfection with garlic and ginger and try the saucy dried bean curd and duck. And maybe order some more while you’re at it—most of the claypots run under $15, so go wild. " - Ricky Rodriguez
