"What if we told you, that a restaurant named TÊTE Charcuterie isn't only about the meats. That while charcuterie and sausages are part of the equation, it serves excellent veggies as well. That TÊTE holds its own in the highly revered West Loop restaurant scene. What if we told you, that you're making a mistake by dismissing TÊTE. ESPN films and The Infatuation Chicago present: TÊTE Charcuterie - Don’t Forget The Veggies. We considered approaching ESPN to make this video, but remembered they have zero credibility when it comes to reliable journalism. No matter, because we're all about investigative journalism - we eat a lot. And our reporting on TÊTE Charcuterie includes only the facts. The high end charcuterie and sausages are great, which is to be expected. But what we didn't expect is everything else on the menu to be as exciting and taste as good. Vegetables are excellent, especially the Autumn Garden entrée, and the fish options don't slouch either. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, so take their advice if you're unsure of what to order. Like most of the restaurants in this part of town, TÊTE takes on a nice, yet casual and industrial feel because of the old warehouse-like building it occupies. The space is open, including the kitchen, so you can watch everything going on. You're wallet will also be open, because the cost manages to creep up on the higher side. But it's worth it for the right occasion and with the right people interested in charcuterie and a menu that's a little different. What if we told you, that you should have no doubts. Eat at TÊTE. Food Rundown Small or Large Board Start with the charcuterie, but leave the selection up to the kitchen for the best value. Get a chef’s choice board that comes with little pickles, mustard, and fresh country bread from Little Goat Bakery. The head cheese is excellent and rather mild, ask for some of that. Hamachi Crudo A really interesting dish. Hamachi crudo with a spicy yuzu-pepper vinaigrette, asian pear, and spicy gelatinous things. Spicy gelatinous things might not be an official term, but it makes sense. It's on the smaller side and a good palate cleanser in-between charcuterie and main dishes. Autumn Garden Check it - this vegetable dish is the best thing on the menu. It’s a mix of vegetables, fruits, and herbs, and is everything food should be. Tasty, simple, and leaves you interested in each bite. Definitely order. Philippines Sausage You'll want to admire this spicy sausage over a bed of fried rice, chili marmalade, and a fresh egg itching to be cracked. But don't admire for long. Break the egg and mix it all together before diving in. Arctic Char A delicate piece of arctic char in some sort of foam. We could go without the foam, but it's not a deterrent because the fish itself is that good. Order if you're looking for a flakey white fish to balance out a meal." - Sam Faye
