"London can’t move for New York-style pizza restaurants inspired by anyone who’s glanced in the general direction of Satriale's Pork Store—and in Carmela’s, Islington has a reliable capo. There’s an infectious energy to this walk-in-only den on Upper Street. The tables are teeming with mates, the vodka sauce pies are flying, and the thin-crust pies quite simply hit the spot. Food Rundown Cheese This is a perfectly serviceable cheese pizza. There’s a decent hold on it, with no flop, and the crust has a bit of bite. Impressively, it still has a good hold too. photo credit: Jake Missing" - Jake Missing
