Mad Records Cafe - Review - MiMo - Miami - The Infatuation

"Mad Records Cafe is attached to a hotel and opens at 8am to serve breakfast. That’s information you can ignore. You should come here at night, when a DJ sets up inside the neon red lounge and spins Joe Arroyo and Aníbal Velásquez vinyls. The narrow cafe turns into a mini salsa party. The MiMo spot started out in Medellín, which is why you’ll likely hear a lot of cumbia, but they spin in a mix of electronic, jazz, and indie. If you’re into darker rooms with more of a club vibe, Mad Radio—open Wednesday to Saturday—is right downstairs. video credit: Mariana Trabanino" - Mariana Trabanino
