"Lilah does maximalist cocktails with minimal booze—so when you want non-alcoholic or low-ABV drinks that involve a mountain of shaved ice or an edible paper floater emblazoned with a comic book-font “BOOM”, this is the place. The Marina cocktail bar from the same people behind Causwells, which is right next door, also serves a small menu of Asian small plates like Vietnamese fresh rolls and Korean ribs (skip the pork belly bao that are too tough to bite into). The photogenic cocktails themselves vary in success. The Easy Tiger is a smooth, tangy, passionfruit-y hit topped with popping boba. But the Key Lime Pie kakigori, while pretty to look at, ends up just tasting like melted ice with Nilla Wafer crumbs. Use this place as a jumping-off spot before a full dinner in the area, or whenever you’re going dry and want a drink that’s a little more fun than a Shirley Temple. photo credit: Nicola Parisi photo credit: Nicola Parisi photo credit: Nicola Parisi" - Julia Chen
