"Everything at Rudyard’s Pub is well-worn, from the wooden bar and checkered floors, to the scruffy dogs scattered around the sidewalk patio. The Montrose bar has warm, third-place energy. It’s a space that lets you be around others, even if you want to be alone. Most people here are knocking around the pool table or darts board, typing away on a laptop and taking occasional swings from a pint of amber ale, or loitering until the comedy club upstairs opens. It’s also a great spot for a solo meal. The folks behind Gold Tooth Tony’s manage the Rudz menu and have stocked it full of over-the-top dishes like a spaghetti grilled cheese on thick Texas toast or a sandwich stuffed with a 10oz ribeye and a borderline obscene amount of melted provolone. They also serve a classic griddled cheeseburger with a hefty, backyard-style patty and extra American cheese. Upgrade to a side of tater tots for the ultimate nostalgic bar burger. photo credit: Chelsea Thomas" - Chelsea Thomas
