Postcard - Review - West Village - New York - The Infatuation

"The folks behind Nami Nori are great at opening impeccably designed, potentially franchisable spots that serve fairly delicious food at reasonable prices. Postcard, a gluten-free Japanese bakery in the West Village, is their latest venture, and it sure is adorable. The wallpaper features a pattern of ginkgo leaves, the seating consists of a single wraparound banquette, and half the room—walls, ceiling, and all—is painted candy apple red. Behind the small counter, there’s a tidy display of cookies, buns, and mochi donuts, in addition to a few sandwiches on fluffy, cake-like bread. Would the chicken katsu be better (and crispier) if it wasn’t premade? Probably. But it’s good enough as is, and you can’t beat the convenience. Stop by for a quick takeout snack, and don’t skip the desserts and bubble tea. photo credit: Sebastian Lucrecio photo credit: Sebastian Lucrecio photo credit: Sebastian Lucrecio Pause Unmute" - Bryan Kim
