On the Grid : Kent Bog State Nature Preserve
"This park is right off of State Route 43, but you wouldn’t be able to tell while walking through the bog. The preserve’s winding boardwalk and informational plaques offer a great view of a bog left over from the Ice Age. The bog’s claim to fame is that it’s the continental US’s largest patch of tamarack trees, which are deciduous conifers (meaning, they look like evergreens but they shed their needles). This is a great place to get away to any season of the year." - Each + Every
