A stern sign warns away the crowds - no large groups, no stag parties here, lads - but it's for a good cause: the pursuit of a nice quiet pint. The beautiful traditional interior, constantly changing lineup of real ales and the sense of stepping out of the world for a while all contribute to the quest.
