"The 1920s Parisian art-deco inspired rooms designed by Andres Escobar, feature marble-inlaid Macassar ebony desks, chrome period lamps and satin poufs. The classic black-and-white tiled bathrooms come stocked with niceties from the venerable Village apothecary CO Bigelow. With a total of 113 rooms and only five to seven on every floor, it evokes the feel of a residential building. Some rooms have private terraces, floor-to-ceiling windows or cozy window seats, and many offer amazing views of One World Trade Center rising to the south, or the Empire State and Chrysler Buildings to the north. The restaurant Grape & Vine, elicits speakeasy glamour through distressed mirrors and plush red velvet banquettes." - 345 Design
