Schmitz is known for their great quiches and cakes, which makes it a perfect stop for a post-museum lunch or for kaffee und kuchen (a 3-5pm German tradition of having coffee and cake). The café is located facing the [Aachener Weiher](/aachener-weiher/) man-made lake and has a lovely terrace to enjoy some sun while you drink your cappuccino and reflect on East Asian art."
