"Kieler Woche, Mitte. When Non-Kielers hear anything about Kiel, they always respond "Kieler Woche"! Almost 4 million people visit the biggest sailing event in the world every year. Since over 100 years it's taking place in Kiel in summer; nowadays it's always in June. There is a lot going on: yacht race, sailing boat parade, international food market, summer party, children activities and big fireworks.
