Take the 7 train and get off at Roosevelt Ave. to find lots of awesome food stands. One place sells Ecuadorian food right at the exit to the subway, such as hornado, or "roast pork with sublime crispy skin straight from Heaven, morcilla, or blood sausage with potato cakes." The cart is called La Esquina de la Caserita.

Bourdain had: Soju (Korean liquor), gam ja tang (pork neck bone soup), galbi (short ribs).

Tony had a beer with Loycent “Loy” Gordon, the owner of the tavern, and New York City Fire Department lieutenant. The movie "Goodfellas" filmed scenes in this bar.

Tony meets Heems, AKA Himanshu Suri, rapper and member of the Swet Shop Boys hip hop group, and his friend, attorney, and community organizer, Ali Najmi. They had thentuk, which is a hand torn noodle soup with chilies and ginger. Also, shaptra or chili-fried beef made of thinly sliced beef cooked with chili oil, soy, and Sichuan peppercorns; and sha momo, or steamed beef dumplings.

Tony had a meal with Josmar Trujillo, a writer and activist. They did not say what they had but it involved rice and beans and some kind of grilled meat.

Tony met with his friend and author Laurie Woolever, who co-wrote his cookbook Appetites with him. They bet on some horses and ate Jamaican beef patties.
