"Finistère didn’t get its name by accident; and here at the end of the Breton peninsula, yards from the lighthouse and the old abbey that mark the edge of the earth, is the Hostellerie Pointe St-Mathieu. It’s built around a 14th-century house with substantial modern additions, and inside it’s the perfect place to hunker down amid the crashing surf — the rooms and suites are ultra-cozy in maritime colors.
