"Located on Holloway Drive in West Hollywood, I found the new Soho House Holloway House to be a 34-room outpost (the second Los Angeles property where members and non-members can stay) featuring a light-filled courtyard, a club with a restaurant, and a rooftop with sweeping views of the Hollywood Hills and Downtown Los Angeles. The guest bedrooms—divided into cozy, small, medium, big, and big accessible categories—are dressed in 1960s-inspired décor with aged wood floors, woven tapestries, rich velvet or boucle upholstery, burl wood side tables, and ceramic bedside lamps; the bathrooms are notable for handblown vanity lights and mosaic stone floors. Art plays a central role throughout, with works and several custom-made pieces by Jessalyn Brooks, Sayre Gomez, and Diedrick Brackens on display. The 1960s theme continues in the ground-floor sitting room with mint terrazzo floors, dark wood paneling, and a mix of neutral and patterned fabrics, and extends to the chic outdoor Atrium in the courtyard where guests can sip a House Tonic at the bar. There's a library with floor-to-ceiling bookshelves arranged with live performances and special events in mind, a dining room serving Greek and Mediterranean dishes inspired by Miami’s Mandolin Aegean Bistro, and a rooftop with daybeds, a commissioned abstract mural by Jessalyn Brooks, a pool lined with fringed umbrellas, and strong Instagram appeal; rooms are bookable by members and non-members, with nightly rates starting at $250." - Dobrina Zhekova Dobrina Zhekova Dobrina Zhekova is a writer with over a decade of editorial experience in Europe and the U.S. She covers luxury travel, art, architecture, and design.
