"The Castle of Mey, tucked away in the Northern Highlands, includes 30 acres of parkland. It’s famous for its walled garden, and, all in all, receives around 25,000 visitors a year. Mey used to belong to Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother. She purchased it in 1952 and, after overseeing massive renovations, vacationed there each year in August and October." - Elise Taylor
