"When the 84% of DNA we share with wolves kicks in, we head to 016 Restaurant. The menu at this casual Serbian spot reads like a meat-lovers Christmas list, with dishes like smoky cevapi, plump grilled meatballs, and stuffed cabbage with pork belly the last two having a fantastic char and added tang from raw onions and creamy kajmak. They have a spacious dining room, but we like eating and drinking Serbian cocktails on their outdoor patio." - josh barnett, sam faye, adrian kane, john ringor

"When our carnivorous instincts kick in and we want to eat a bunch of meat, we head to 016 Restaurant. The menu at this casual Serbian spot has plenty of meat-centric dishes like stuffed cabbage with pork belly, smoky cevapi, and plump grilled meatballs, the last two having a great char and added tang from raw onions and creamy kajmak. To mix up your your meat feast, make sure to also order their fantastic cheese and spinach burek. They have a spacious dining room, but we like eating and drinking Serbian brandy cocktails on their outdoor patio when we get the chance." - John Ringor

"016 Restaurant specializes in southern Serbian cuisine with dishes like smoked-kissed beef and veal cevapcic, grilled meatballs with smoked bacon and gouda, and mushroom-and-cheese-stuffed pork loin wrapped in caul fat. A must-order is the burek, a phyllo pastry filled with cheese and spinach. The restaurant also excels in bread production, offering sourdough boule with braised pork stew known as leskovačka mućkalica." - Jeffy Mai

I recently had the pleasure of dining at 016, a gem that offers an authentic taste of Serbian cuisine. The experience was delightful, from the warm ambiance to the rich flavors of the dishes. The service at 016 was exceptional. The staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They took the time to explain each dish and made excellent recommendations based on our preferences. Their genuine hospitality made the dining experience even more enjoyable. Now, onto the highlight – the food. Every dish we tried was a testament to the rich and hearty flavors of Serbian cuisine.

Highly highly recommended! reasonably priced, service exceptional, atmosphere outstanding with outdoor seating and most importantly ,food delicious! You MUST try their bread and homemade garlic n herb butter.. omggg. They make you feel very welcomed and go above and beyond. My mom and I stumbled upon this restaurant and took a chance! We're so glad we did. Every dish was packed full of flavor and harmony. You can tell the love and care they put into all their dishes! The service was incredible and very helpful for navigating the menu and specials. We ended up getting braised lamb with potatoes, and stuffed cabbage with sauerkraut. As well as the best house salad with the most incredible dill dressing! Will be returning!

Google
Absolutely outstanding Serbian food - I was completely blown away by the food quality, flavors, and the warm service during my visit. The Braised Short Rib was exceptional, with tender cured short rib pieces served over rich ground cornmeal. The Stuffed Cabbage had a delightful tang from the fermented cabbage, complemented by savory ground beef on a bed of mashed potatoes. The Burek was incredibly flaky and aromatic, filled with rich cheese on the inside. Note the Burek will take a while (around half an hour), while the other dishes came out quickly. The service was consistently friendly throughout our dinner. Overall, our experience at 016 was fantastic, and we are excited to return for more of their menu items.

Wow, that was a fantastic meal!My wife had the Beets Salad, and my kids shared the Cheese Burek! For appetizer, we had the Creamy fetta cheese with eggplant which was very good. And for my meal i had the slowly cooked veal with potatoe and carrots-Phenomenal!Can't wait to go back!

My husband won a $100 gift certificate so we called before and came to lunch. We also got take away dinner. Lunch was Whipped Feta that was absolutely outstandingly delicious! My favorite was the Beet salad because it was healthy and soooo fresh. I also had the Mediterranean sandwich and huzzie had the Muffaletta. Both were amazing! For dinner I did the Schnitzel, he did the short ribs. We tasted each other's and we thought they were equally delicious. The star of the show was the cabbage and ground beef Burek!! So gooey good!! Dinner came with homemade bread my husband made French Toast the next morning with it. We thank all the staff at 016 as they were as awesome as the food! Serbian coffee was a treat as well. We will definitely be back!! They have a beautiful outdoor seating area we will try next time too.

I can't choose which dish is my favorite. Everything was delicious! We even had leftovers! Get the whipped feta for sure.

My husband and I went for dinner and loved our experience. It was our first time trying Serbian food and we weren't sure what to expect so went with some dishes that were recommended. We started with a cocktail called Dama, which was very unique and had a good flavor. They bring you some fresh baked bread with garlic butter that's excellent. For mains, we had the veal with potatoes and the beef Burek, and both dishes were very flavorful. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
The best restaurant in Chicago right now. Read this again and go see for yourself. Don't believe it? Keep reading. This is traditional Balkan food and drinks, elevated. Everything is cooked fresh, everything tastes amazing, every time. Good service and good vibes all around, and, in the summer, a lovely patio! The grill is king here, of course. It's the chef's specialty. This is one of the few places in town that uses charcoal instead of gas, and it tastes so much better. There is also a smoker on site (try the smoked Amish chicken). The Ustipci (grilled meatballs) are to die for. The grilled liver deserves a special mention - no one, and I mean no one in town makes it better. You might hate liver, and love the 016 liver, that's how amazing it is. But there is much, much more. Absolutely try their bureks - homemade filo pastry stuffed with cheese, spinach or beef. Order one (good for 4 people) right when you sit down, because they make it from scratch and it takes 25 minutes to get ready. All of their appetizers are jam packed with flavor, their salads are always fresh (you have to order the Shopska!), and their traditional Balkan main courses all melt in your mouth (try the stuffed cabbage leaves!). To top it off, they have a great selection of fruit brandies (rakia) from the Balkans, and they even make rakia cocktails for the adventurous travellers. All in all, you have to see this place to believe it, so I recommend you go today! I have been eating here at least 1x every two months since they opened and have never had anything short of an amazing experience. Enjoy!

Yelp
Because I don't eat a ton of meat, there aren't a whole lot of opportunities to revisit 016, a shop I haven't been to for what must be a couple decades now, because their menu is really meat centric. But the instant I felt like a sausage, I sped over there to try their Balkan Express - a garlic and fennel sausage on a buttery roll, mustard with texture, and resplendent pinkish coleslaw - and it was great. It was one of the last warm days of the year (probably - though who knows anymore) and it was nice to sit outside, although if you sit too far back along Carmen you do catch occasional whiffs of the dumpster. The service is relaxed and the definition of low pressure. I'm sure I could have sat out there all day if I'd wanted. Yelp says 016 has closed, but unless it closed super recently, I don't think that's accurate. Their website is still up.

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch while restaurant hopping with friends. Both sandwiches they ordered met with great reviews. Generous and delicious. My skinless sausage reminded me of Kafka and were beautiful and simple. Go with the house made chips. Excellent! Only downgrade was the average ambiance, but the service was great. Plan to take the wife next time and try a platter of house specialties.

Yelp
Veliki pozdrav Dragani! --Bojan (često tu sa bratom Ratkom)

Yelp
I was in town for a conference in March and knew Chicago had one of the highest Serbian populations in the world, so naturally I had to try the food. I'm so glad I did, because in my 5 days in Chicago, this was the best thing I ate (tied with Kasama)! I tried the hotdog, the burek, the rakija, a chocolate cake that I couldn't remember the name of. Everything was fantastic. The rakija was surprisingly smooth and has a sweet plum aftertaste. The burek was my favorite to eat, the fluffy texture and delicious spinach was a 10/10. The service was also amazing, I was there alone and it was fairly empty, and the person running the place kept interacting with me and even gave me some free coffee after my meal. They also let me walk around the sandwich shop to see everything they offered. Serbian people are some of the friendliest that I've had the pleasure of meeting. I definitely see myself coming back if I'm ever in Chicago!

Ryan S.

Yelp
This is such a unique restaurant in the area. There are lunch sandwiches are super creative and combine the Serbian cuisine with Chicago influence. I like that they have a talk menu set up that's really easy to use, so you can deserve a time to pick up your food. They also have a dedicated counter to pick it up which is very convenient. I am also come here for dinner and order the sampler platter. It was all cooked nicely and had a nice smoky quality to it. Employees are also also very friendly and appreciative of your business. I definitely recommend giving this place a try, it will be a very unique experience for you.

Carl G.

Yelp
The chicken liver pate and braised veal were the stars of the show! The stuffed cabbage was not for me despite other folks raving over it. The staff there is super attentive and kind which helped round things out!

Jennifer P.

Yelp
Found this place on Yelp and decided to check it out for lunch with a friend. Menu has a wide selection of food options and we decided to share the plates we wanted to try. They also have a great wine list although we decided to skip trying any of the wines. Had the strawberry juice and it was delicious. The staff is friendly and makes great suggestions on what to try. We started with the whipped feta and it was amazing. We also tried the daily board of assorted meats and cheese and jam and it didn't disappoint. For an entree we had the cabbage and it came highly recommended by our waitress and it was delicious. Inside was cozy and plenty of seating. It got busy so I would recommend a reservation for evening hours. Will be back.

Yelp
We found this place by mistake because we couldn't find the Japanese place we were looking for. I didn't know much about Serbian food, but my girlfriend was pretty familiar. When you first walk in, it looks like what I imagine the soup place in Seinfeld resembled, so I figured it had to be good. There were a couple freshly baked loaves and pastries behind the glass cases and there was a baker standing in front. We asked some questions about the menu and were very surprised when he told us we could have a seat. To our surprise, as you walk past the sandwich pick up area, the place opened up into an amazing indoor dining area and an outdoor patio. We chose to eat on the patio. The waitress came to get us. She was extremely helpful with her suggestions and her recommendations were perfect. We chose from their specialty cocktails menu, perfect for the warmer weather. And then I ordered the muffaletta, and she had the burek. Everything was absolutely delicious. The drinks were refreshing and flavorful. The muffaletta was packed full of meat, cheese and flavors and the burek had the best crust and filling I had ever tasted. This was a spectacular introduction to the world of Serbian food. But the only problem is that they may have set the standard too high. This was another top ten eating experience. If you're in Chicago and want more flavors than your face can deal with, head to 016 Sandwich Shop. Be sure to come hungry.

Yelp
Fantastic food! Everything we had was terrific: the Burek, grilled meatballs, fried peppers, served with feta and a scallion salsa...we loved it all.

Olivia P.

Yelp
Delicious food- familiar service. Sitting on the patio at 016 restaurant, the environment is condusive to rich conversation and a relaxing, comfortable restaurant experience. The food is delicious, highlights being the chicken liver pate with grilled bread, the salmon special, braised veal, and the house salad- the desserts are unique and tasty aswell, like the plum butter crepe and boston creme-like cream cake. Prices are fair. 016 is a great neighborhood restaurant, worth going out of your way for.

Ines S.

Yelp
The whole experience is great. The food is outstanding always fresh passionately cooked and delicious. Everyone is very welcoming and politely and you enjoy your meal and time in this restaurant.

Yelp
REPLY: While reading your response, i understand that you are focused on your "money making" tables. It would be mutually beneficial for you to consider families who have been consistent customers before and during pandemic. As establishment portrays a family like atmosphere, we try to bring our child out to enjoy food from our culture. It was disheartening to think that a 1year old listening to Cocomelon at our table was an issue. Had my child been crying or screaming i may have understood a request of some type. You mentioned headphones... I'm not sure if you have much experience with 1 year olds but keeping things on their head is not easy and just not for them. This city is a melting pot of amazing culture and foods. I am sure we are not the first family to walk thru your door, seeking out tastes from outside their box. I think it would be better to consider customer service training and learn how to make a positive mark in our community. As for my family, we will no longer visit your establishment. We will venture to new locations that welcome families with children and reasonable accommodations.

Yelp
Wonderful, friendly staff. Cute restaurant. The sandwiches are delicious. The Ajvar Vodka Sauce on the chicken sandwich is the bomb. The 'Everything Spice" Burke not only hits every corner of your palate but is a textural extravaganza. Wow. Just wow.

Phillip L.

Yelp
Very good food! The meatballs, cabbage rolls and burrata and tomato salad were all excellent. I've eaten at plenty of fine dining and Michelin stars restaurants all over. But this was the best meal I've had in a while - served in causal ambiance.

Miranda M.

Yelp
Everything was so fast, fresh and delicious! My fiancé the veal was as good as what you could find on the homeland (he's Croatian). Our server was so sweet and helpful! She even asked us to take our bread home and gave us a small to go cup for the delicious garlic butter! Their outside patio is a nice little vibe with string lights.

Michael H.

Yelp
Moved to Chicago a year ago and have been to over 150 restaurants. All I can say is that I'm upset I didn't try 016 earlier! My favorite place in town - fried peppers, burek, stuffed cabbage, chievapi are all excellent. Dessert can use a little work, but I don't usually order dessert anyways. Not to mention the free bread is amazing with the butter with slightly roasted onions in it as well as the one that comes with the chievapi! Have never tried any of their sandwiches yet, but will as soon as I don't feel the urge to order their traditional food after making the trek out here. Saw other customers order sandwiches and they looked great. Also, they have two doors - one for the sit down restaurant and one for take out and casual. Make sure you walk in the correct door. I didn't know and ordered at the takeout side before asking to be seated.

Yelp
This restaurant is truly something special. Over the weekend, we toured some colleges up in Chicago with my younger brother. None of us had ever been to the Windy City, so I turned to Yelp for restaurant recommendations and saw this spot was on the 2022 Top 100 list (and pretty high up there at that)! That was enough of a sell for us. We parked a little ways down the road ... and had a lunch reservation, but didn't really need it. There was only one other group in the restaurant when we showed up ... that might deter some diners, but I had faith this place was going to be good. Our waitress was extremely kind and attentive ... making sure our waters were filled throughout our meal, and explaining some of the highlights of the menu. You could feel her passion for these dishes as she described them ... and it translated to the meal itself. Before this weekend, none of us had ever eaten Serbian cuisine. After eating at 016, I can truthfully say I am looking for Serbian restaurants in my hometown. The meal starts with homemade bread and butter ... and its homestyle flavors are so comforting, you might just want to eat the whole loaf. I ordered a bowl of the "Bean - Pasulj" soup ... which was smoky, warm, and layered. Dipping the bread into this soup was exactly what you want on a cold Chicago day. I also ordered the "Lincoln Square Muffaletta" sandwich, which was served on a homemade flatbread. This sandwich was saucy without getting the bread yet ... and the toppings had a great balance of flavor. My fiancé ordered the cabbage rolls ... which were absolutely remarkable. I've had several cabbage rolls in my day (including some served in Eastern Europe) and these were the best I've tasted. My brother ordered the "Pork Stew - Leskovačka mućkalica" ... he *barely* shared a small bite with me ... it was so good, he wanted to keep it all for himself. This restaurant is truly a hidden gem ... if I lived in Chicago, I would be here all the time! Let this review be your sign ... today is the day to experience the authentic magic that is 016.

It's S.

Yelp
Good food and great atmosphere. A bit pricey but good portion. cccccccccccccccc

Jeff S.

Yelp
016 is Lincoln Square's best kept secret. I am torn whether to scream their greatness from the rooftops or keep it a hidden gem? Everything is delicious and made with time and care. Run don't walk!

Senad H.

Yelp
After so many years I visited this place ......different owner, food delicious, great atmosphere, very nice and friendly staff. I'll be back again. Senad

Phil T.

Yelp
Every time I've been in here I've had a great meal with great service. Been in for lunch and dinner and have always been impressed. Beautiful presentation of delicious dishes. Highly recommended.

Michelle T.

Yelp
This restaurant took me by surprise and is now in my top 3 favorite restaurants in Chicago. First of all, the staff is so welcoming and their warmth translates into the food. It was my family's first time trying Serbian food and we're so glad that we did. Among our favorite dishes were the pimento toast, stuffed cabbage, and beet salad. Every dish was packed with flavor. My best tip is to come with several people so you can order a variety of dishes and experience as much as possible. Tbh, the dishes here rival those of dishes you might get at upscale restaurants in Fulton Market. A part of me wants to gate keep this gem for myself, but 016 deserves all the support. Love it so much!

Madeleine B.

Yelp
I'm hooked on Balkan food now. I've tried the south rail sandwich, cheese burek, and chievapi sandwich. The food is outstanding. The chievapi sandwich came on super fluffy bread! And the meat is so juicy. My favorite was probably the south rail. I'd love to try the sausage rolls sometime, and bring friends for dinner! 4.5 stars. I knocked off half a star for the service, which was a little weird the first time. I got my sandwich to go, but decided to eat on the patio. One of the staff came out to tell me that I couldn't eat on the patio because it's only for "full service," even though no one was there. But they did offer me some water.

Ronald C.

Yelp
I would say this was the BEST cabbage roll I have ever eaten in my life. Just that alone is reason enough to visit this cool restaurant. It was lovely out so we sat on the patio and ordered way too much food. The centerpoint of our meal was a plate of various meats which came with some lovely bread, some feta butter, and even fries! Most of it was really yummy! But nothing really compared to those cabbage rolls. If I went back, I would get that again! This was my first time having Serbian cuisine, but it will not be the last.

Lena M.

Yelp
We loved this place under the previous ownership and still so happy that they food is still fantastic!! Oh my gosh. Our biggest issue was running out of room on the table I don't know what we didn't order it was so amazing and so many lovely surprises! For one- rakija cocktails!? Amazing I had one with apricot rakija (homemade alcohol like a moonshine) and blackberry juice with vodka and something else. So so good. Sopska salata, ćevapi, gurnanska pljeskavica, Urnebes, pečene paprike, girice, the lot! So so so good! And great value!! If you've not had food from the Balkans (former Yugoslavia) go. It's flavorful, grilled, hearty and delicious!

Jacob B.

Yelp
Cannot recommend enough -- the food was fantastic, the service was great! Really the food is the star -- all of the grilled meats we got were amazing -- the meatballs was definitely a highlight. The burek was phenomenal, the short ribs were AMAZING, the fresh bread was so crusty a moist. Ambience could use some work as well as a fix up of the bathrooms as it feels a bit dirty -- but the food was so good it's worth it.

Susie X.

Yelp
I stopped by to pick up their chicken soup after a root canal, since the restaurant popped up as a top result offering soup near me. The man helping me greeted me right away and was upfront that it wasn't chicken noodle soup but it was made with carrots, onions, and spinach. I waited about 5 minutes and was given a large to-go container and also 3 slices of soft bread to dip the soup with. The soup had a fresh, homemade taste and helped soothe my jaw and stomach for the night. Looking forward to trying their dishes once my root canal heals!

Caitlin K.

Yelp
The food was very unique. It was delicious and the service was excellent! The outdoor patio was a great lunch spot!

James H.

Yelp
The burger is terrible. So don't order it. Now that that's out of the way, let's talk about how phenomenal literally everything else I've tried at 016 is. I've been there for lunch and dinner, casual carry-out side and dine-in restaurant. Everything is fantastic. The chievapi, the sandwiches, the bread, the burek, the meat platter, the slivovitz, etc. If there's a better Eastern European restaurant in Chicagoland, I don't know about it.

Carmen P.

Yelp
Food was great. My soup was great. It was cream, chicken soup and my corn beef sandwich. Delicious. The service was great. It came fast. Everything was warm loved it.

Ashley I.

Yelp
Shout out to the taxi driver that talked to my friends' mom talked to a month before. He steered us to this restaurant that was both delicious and the waitress was so kind. She talked to us as my friend explained that she was a quarter Serbian and a quarter Romanian and that she hadn't found something like this since her grandmother passed many years ago. We each ordered the stuffed cabbage and what we should have done was split one. It was not a comfortable drive back to Minneapolis but I knew for sure I was not leaving behind any morsel I could carry back in my belly. My friend also got a phyllo dough spinach thing that was wonderful for breakfast the next day. This was the last day of my mid-west friend road trip and by far my favorite meal. Enjoy!

Katie H.

Yelp
This is a neighborhood gem. We've been going for years and can't stop raving about it. Great sandwiches during the day, but we love sitting on the patio for dinner. Meat heavy menu (love the chievapi) but the beet salad is a favorite and they rotate great new entrees all the time. The owners and staff are incredibly friendly.

Jovan I.

Yelp
Really great food. The owner & staff are great. Reminds me of my Baka's cooking. If you want to try Serbian food, this is the right place

Jessica C.

Yelp
Incredible experience. Beautiful atmosphere with the outdoor patio and some of the most gracious servers. I'm not Serbian, however, my husband is and we absolutely loved the food at this location. Everything was impeccable and loaded with flavor. We tried the burrata salad (fresh organic tomatoes and smoked beef), veal soup (taste like grandma made it with all the love in the world), roast chicken dish, and and the Sisa (slow cooked veal with potatoes and carrots). Everything had us licking our fingers. I can't wait to be back to try other dishes. They have my full trust when it comes to their menu. I'm so glad my husband and I stumbled upon this place. We will for sure be back. 10 out of 10 experience.

Steve O.

Yelp
yeah this is best-in-city stuff, it's not a stretch to say, don't know if the few online write-ups about it are still accurate, there being rumors of ownership change during Corona days, but the original, and possibly current dude running the kitchen comes from Serbia and trained at PQM and Tempesta Market, and his food (even if he's gone, this was his concept) logically reflects this trajectory, though I'm loath to invoke logic because, while refined, this is soulful, not gastronomic fare, inspired but possessing the heart and surety of place which for obvious reasons elude the kitchens of your standard, "New American," or, "Modern European," joints, these being unteachable things, it's smoke, it's pickles, spice, butter and cheese, a truly lovely affair.

Missy B.

Yelp
Overview: it's a Serbian restaurant and we really enjoyed it. I will definitely be coming back for the beet salad and stuffed cabbage! Service was good, not great- my friend I was with would tell you it wasn't great because she had to ask to get her water filled. But the server was very helpful in walking us through the menu. Food: -burek spinach and cheese: it takes a long time to bake and it still seemed a little undercooked. I wish it was cooked a tad longer because the cheese and spinach filling was amazing. -shopska: clean, simple and delicious- definitely could make this at home but a good salad -beet salad: this is the best salad ever. The beets were perfect and it was sitting on a bed of pickled cabbage; will get again and again- highly recommended -stuffed cabbage: loved it and again the cabbage was sour and make this dish unique and delicious. The cream sauce was great and sat on top of smooth and creamy mashed potatoes. Wow wow, will get again. -meat platter: I learned from my Serbian friend that the traditional Serbian BBQ is well done and she wasn't wrong. The sausages were amazing and the fat on the pork melts in your mouth. I'm just not used to it being so well done- i don't know if I would get this again!!

Jessica E.

Yelp
Had a great experience at this restaurant! All the food is freshly made and absolutely delicious. The restaurant smokes all their own meat and makes all the sausages. Its authentic -- my Serbian husband from Leskovac gave it his stamp of approval! The service was amazing. We came with two small kids and they were very accommodating. The waitress made sure my kids were taken care of first. If you want an authentic experience complete with Serb hospitality.... This is it. Try the cevapi and meze platter you wont regret it.

Olive G.

Yelp
We had a really nice lunch on the patio. Food was delicious & service was outstanding. Can't wait to come back and try some sandwiches

Bob C.

Yelp
I stopped in at 016 for dinner tonight. It was my first time there. I asked the waitress for a recommendation of a Serbian dish to try and she said the Stuffed Cabbage was very popular. I ordered it and it was delicious. I didn't even have to add any salt or pepper. I'm coming back to try the Burek. They even bake the bread there!

Zorica L.

Yelp
Delicious food and wonderful service & atmosphere! Definitely bringing my team here!

L M.

Yelp
This is a lovely restaurant in the Lincoln Square area, walking distance from the #92-Foster and #81-Lawrence, as well as the Western Brown Line. The food is top notch and the atmosphere is welcoming and friendly! We had their cocktails - the favorite was the King Zebra -- but all were very good. We also had the shared grill platter (food for 2, but would be enough for our family of 4!). The house salad was fresh and had a delicious dressing (European style) and served with fresh bread and garlic butter. The mixed grill platter had: two kinds of sausage, grilled chicken, pork, and meatballs, as well as tangy cheese and onions. It was served with delicious, warm, perfect chewy rolls. And we had it with the cabbage salad, which is a great combination. We didn't make it to dessert -- next time. It is a definitely a meat-forward menu, but I did notice a rainbow trout entree. For next time!

Yelp
This place is amazing. Came on Saturday afternoon with a friend, and another joined me later. Found a delightful table outside - they've got a lovely, covered outdoor area. The staff was terrific -- friendly and helpful in explaining the food (Serbian cuisine was new to me). We started with the Burek (we went with the cheese Burek), and we ordered a large one, which they make fresh right there (takes about 35 minutes, but worth it). They also have smaller ones that are pre-made. Flaky, rich, cheesy, and scrumptious. So good. I got the stuffed cabbage, which was cooked cabbage stuffed with ground beef on a plate of mashed potatoes and amazing gravy, topped with a chunk of pork belly - comfort food. One friend got the 016 Burger, which is huge and incredible (with a special secret house sauce). My other friend got Chievapi - delightful little sausages with onions and kajmak (a cream sauce) served with a freshly made house bun to create your own mini sandwiches. We split a dessert (a cake whose name I forgot) which made me think of a chocolate tiramisu (very good and decadent). The Serbian Lav beer on tap is delicious - light and refreshing. I'm definitely coming back here!

Yelp
I love this restaurant. I want to thank the kitchen staff for doing such a great job on everything. The food is always cooked perfectly. Every time I order pickup the food is carefully wrapped, and still presents well after a car ride home. I wish they were closer so I could eat here more.

Yelp
If you're Serb or any other ex-YU nationality, you'll find this place at sub-par level food wise. "Teletina ispod sača", is nothing but a few pieces of tenderloin submerged in beef broth with pieces of carrots and small (rounded) potatoes. Very disappointing. Ćevapčići are full of meat additives, taste nothing like they should. Also, a bottle of Serbian beer (12 oz) was $7!!!! Ridiculous.

Yelp
WOW! What an amazing place to eat! The food was amazing and I enjoyed every moment of it. The homemade bread was so soft it was like eating a buttery cloud, and the cabbage salad didn't disappoint. I had the grilled meatballs for dinner, and they were AMAZING! They even had bacon bits inside of it, and those were amazing. Other people in my party had rainbow trout and beet salad, and those were good too. The service was really great and friendly, and the atmosphere was great. Will definitely return!

Yelp
I had lunch here. It was my first visit. The food and the atmosphere were excellent. We had our meal on the covered outdoor patio. My stuffed cabbage was sensational. Perfectly seasoned. I'll be back. I'm Placing 016 on my top list du monde. ( of the world ) It was the best stuffed cabbage I've ever tried. Similar to German rouladen but I like the Serbian version more. The mashed potatoes were perfect. Finally the Serbian café hit the spot!

Yelp
We got takeout during the covid lockdown. We enjoyed it. A Burek and two entrees was enough for 3 people. We got the pork stew which comes in a bread bowl, which is more of a tasty roll. The pork stew is tomatoy and hearty. We would get it again. We also got the rainbow trout. The fish was good and came with a grilled lemon. It comes with potato salad. Although we liked it, we found the fish plain and the serving side of potato salad to be small. It was more like a big spoonful. We probably wouldn't get that dish again because it wasn't good value. Finally, we got the spinach and cheese burek, which we liked a lot. We definitely get it again.

Yelp
Tasty food in a nice atmosphere with the friendliest wait staff I've encountered in a long time. Looking forward to coming back!
