"Allegheny Wine Mixer is a Lawrenceville favorite, with its eclectic collection of flea-market paintings and a name inspired by the Catalina Wine Mixer scene in Step Brothers. As such, it doesn’t take itself too seriously, though it offers a selection of interesting wines by the glass, with pours from often underrepresented wine regions and a small but compelling cocktail list. Food is limited to meat-and-cheese plates, toasties, sweet bites, and specials like hot dog Sundays. Co-owner with Piccolo Forno’s Domenic Branduzzi, Roger Li also operates three nearby establishments: the excellent Izakaya Umami, multifaceted Nanban, and terrific Hong Kong-influenced Parlor Dim Sum. All are worth visiting." - Melissa McCart, Hal B. Klein

"Part Step Brothers reference, part wine bar, this is one of our favorite places to drink in the city. There’s kitschy artwork, vintage furniture, and an impressive wine list with options you won’t find anywhere else in town. Plus, they offer 40-50 of them by the glass, as is the Allegheny Wine Mixer way. Basically, if you like wine, want to learn more about it, or just want to get tipsy with friends while pretending to know that Ciliegiolo is a kind of grape and not an Italian candy, head to this Lawrenceville spot." - Madeline Quigley

I had no idea what to expect when my friend asked to meet here but I was pleasantly surprised. Why do they have glizzy's on special? I have no idea but I love the quirkiness of the place and the bar menu. The bartender was very nice and parking wasn't entirely terrible for Butler Street. I don't like coleslaw but I went for it and got this hot dog with coleslaw and potato straws on them and I loved it! Definitely will be back.

Google
Allegheny Wine Mixer is an absolutely spectacular establishment for the grown and sexy crowd to explore. Very welcomed atmosphere with the ambiance of a classic wine bar but with an upbeat and hip vibe. All are welcomed. The wine selection is like no other, as the varieties of wines are worldwide. Our wine was paired perfectly with the Chocolate Happiness Plate. The chef cooks all foods right in front of you and pairs foods perfectly. This hidden gem is THE place to go!! Perfect 10 out of 10!

Google
I love Allegheny Wine Mixer every time I go. When I worked nearby, it was a nice after work stop. Now, it's my go to place for drinks and a convo with a friend. I love to grab champagne and a fancy hot dog there. The cheese plates are always good. It's a lovely wine bar where they're always kind, never snobby, and happy to help you make your selection.

Google
Amazing wine & cocktail bar that also serves small bites! They have a well curated wine list and specialty cocktails, an assortment of meat, cheeses and other small plates like pate and dips. Service is great and they give great recommendations. Aesthetic is fun and cozy.

Google
What can I say? Totally cool wine bar decorated with paint by number paintings and black velvet paintings. I especially love the lighted black valve it painting near the bar. We sat at the window seat and we’re completely comfortable. Great selection of wine, awesome cocktails great local beers and a wonderful small plate menu. Will definitely be back

Google
We went during happy hour, so it was more reasonably priced than other times. I'm not a wine person, but the staff was really helpful and I enjoyed what they picked out for me. I also got a cocktail called the Old Dog Carl, which has rye and fennet and was very nice. But man, this cheese plate. Their selection of cheese is pretty unique and ours came with a lot of accompaniments.

Google
This is a great place. I highly recommend going here especially during Happy hours. The selection is varied with an excellent choice of nibbles, a terrific wine selection, and outrageously qualified staff. Come early if you want to sit, it's small and fills up fast. Great port and Sherry selection too. Can't wait to get back there.

Google
I’ve been here twice now and had a great experience both times. The drinks are great and they put together the cutest charcuterie board! We also got a toastie for the table. Service was great and prices were honestly really good considering what you’re getting.

Yelp
I had the best time at the Allegheny Wine Mixer with one of my friends the other night :) They are located on Butler street in Upper Lawrenceville. It is only street parking, so that can be tricky. They don't take reservations, but it wasn't busy when we went! I heard it can get super busy later on the weekends. We ordered some meat and cheese, olives, grilled cheese, and wine (duh!) All the wine was really good and unique. The snacks were all great as well. The meat and cheeses were accompanied with a lot of great sides as well. They are mostly a wine bar with snacks, so I wouldn't recommend showing up starving or expecting a big meal. The paintings on the wall were hilarious. There were a ton of cats with giant eyes and I'm here for that. This is a great chil, super casuall wine bar to hangout with your friends when you want to sit down and catch up!

Yelp
Great little spot for wine & charcuterie. Great cheese selection, large wine list, plus some other drinks & beer. Cute art all over the place. Fun place for a date or a girl's wine night

Meghna B.

Yelp
Such a nice little spot for wine & cocktails! My friend and I stopped by on a Saturday evening and we were seated immediately. I tried the giggle water cocktail, which had gin, lemon, pear, cardamom, and prosecco. I really enjoyed it and found it to be the perfect balance of sweet and bubbly. They also serve food and some desserts but we did not try them this time. Pro tip: there are also a few parking spots across the street in a small lot reserved specifically for customers of allegheny wine mixer if you are having trouble finding parking on butler street. Overall a great spot for drinks in Lawrenceville!

Haley P.

Yelp
Really nice space with a chill vibe. Lots of small, intimate seating with a couple tables that can accommodate a larger group. The bartender made a great recommendation for a bottle of wine based on what we usually drink. I'd love to come back and try some of their food next time.

Loriana L.

Yelp
This little cozy spot is a Lawrenceville gem! Great staff that explains the wine to you if you don't know wines well (like me!). I love white wines and she recommended a new favorite. Beer and cocktails are on the menu as well. Small charcuterie plates and snacks like "toasties", olives, and hummus. You can choose what you want on your charcuterie board so it was really fun to pick and choose our options. We had a great time here with friends. This is perfect for a lowkey night out!

Ken L.

Yelp
This place has a great vibe! The artwork and decor is definitely eclectic. It's not the biggest space but it's a great spot to hang out with a small group. They were busy but not packed to the brim like other places in Lawrenceville on a Friday night, which we were thankful for. We could actually talk and hear each other while we were there. There was a table available for our party of 6 when we walked in which was amazing. The service was good and the bartenders were friendly. You order at the bar here. They have a nice menu with a large selection of wines. We really liked the cocktail menu too, especially the giggle water that was gin, lemon, and prosecco. Not sure what brand of Prosecco they have here, but that was really good too. I think their wines change frequently here too. They have food/small bites here but we had dinner before coming. It did smell really good tho. I liked how the women's room was stocked with things like tooth picks and tampons. It's so nice!

Aditi S.

Yelp
Came here spontaneously and had such a great time! It wasn't super busy so we were able to find a table pretty fast. Our server was great and helpful when deciding on a drink, very knowledgeable on the wines and spirits. I got the Liston Blanco and my friend got the Giggle Water. Everything came out promptly and tasted amazing. Would love to come back to try some food as well!

Kaylee L.

Yelp
Best wine bar in the city. Anytime I'm meeting a wine lover this is where I take them. The menu is constantly changing with new food specials different nights of the week to match. If you wanna try cool things by the glass before buying the bottle, stop here!

Kim P.

Yelp
This is a great bar, delicious drinks, kitschy art on the wall and friendly bartenders! We came in on a Friday night and sat in the window seat to soak up what's left of the days sunlight. I had the What I Want which is tequila infused with peppercorn, watermelon cordial, lime and saline. It's a well balanced cocktail and I could taste all elements of the drink. It's a very refreshing summer cocktail. My husband had the Mother-in-Law, a bourbon cocktail which he also enjoyed. Loved the vibe of this place-wish there was something like it where I live!

Bryan C.

Yelp
They know their stuff when it comes to drinks. They have a deep library of specialty spirits (as well as an excellent curated selection of wines and microbrews) and they know how to use them. I know I can ask for pretty much anything and I'll get a superb version of it. In the photo: I asked for an eau de vie, or un-aged fruit brandy, and the bartender grabbed at least six bottles to choose from. Perfectly settled my craving with this apricot stunner.

Alexa C.

Yelp
Allegheny Wine Mixer is a reliable staple located in Upper Lawrenceville, perfect for pre or post dinner drinks. Their menu ranges from craft beer to wine, cocktails, small plates, and sweets. It's a small establishment with an intimate vibe, you definitely get a personalized experience and shouldn't expect accommodations for a large group. Cheers!

Sandy O.

Yelp
Charming and cozy wine bar in the Lawrenceville neighborhood. The bartender made excellent cheese recommendations, tried the Piedras sheep's cheese from Blakesville Creamery, so good! Solid wine selection, would definitely recommend.

Alexis B.

Yelp
We stopped by Allegheny Wine Mixer for a drink after a meal at Apetka. It has a good wine list (as well as beer, cocktails, and some small plates/food) with some interesting options! It is definitely tiny, which gives it a homey, neighborhood vibe. As much as I like homey spaces, I do wish that AWM was a little bit bigger. When we got there around 6:30/7 on a Sunday night, the only seats were the little half depth bar across from the bar, and it's not always very comfortable to sit in spaces like that (facing a wall rather than a bar or a window). It offers great drinks (and I would definitely come back to try the food - the menu looks delicious), but I wish there were a few more seats and a bit of room to get comfy! But a great place for a glass of wine - best during off hours when they're not as full!

J E.

Yelp
While in the Lawrenceville area for dinner, I stopped in here for a drink prior... I got there around 6:30PM and they were packed! Good thing I was flying solo, I was able to snag a single seat at the bar. They have an interesting cocktail menu and equally interesting wines to offer. I opted for a cocktail, which was decent. The vibe is cool, very hipster and eclectic. The service was just OK, nothing special.

Abigail O.

Yelp
I loved the vibes of this entire spot! The wine selection was really great and apparently changes pretty often. I had some friends help pick out a great bold red wine that I enjoyed a lot. The girl who waited on us was very nice and patient. I will certainly be back again!

Amanda M.

Yelp
Found street parking easily on a Saturday night, entered a very eclectic bar with interesting art and wacky décor. They have an extensive wine, beer and cocktail list and offer small plates and charcuterie. COCKTAILS: -Mother-in-Law: bourbon, maraschino, curaçao, amer, angostura, peychauds -Bankers Punch: rum, irish whiskey, port, bitters, lime, berry liqueur, pineapple gomme *this cocktail was boozy and sweet -Boulevardier: *this might be the best boulevardier I've ever had, it was literally perfection -I also had two glasses of red and enjoyed them both immensely and were served in big wine glasses which I love. FOOD: -Toasties (grilled cheese sandwich) $6 + $1 for 1 slice of prosciutto *pretty small sandwich, didn't really taste the prosciutto because it was so thin and only one slice, I did like the potato sticks, added a nice texture -Cheese & Meat $6 each -a la carte, comes w/ bread & accompaniments *picked 1 salami and 1 cheese, really small portion again These are hands down the best cocktails I've had in Pittsburgh and definitely some of my favorite cocktails EVER.

Tanisha A.

Yelp
I've frequented this cute quaint spot in Lawrenceville (pre-pandemic when they had $4 half pours!) for many years and it's still as fun as I remember. The music rumbling through the speakers from the moment you walk in and it has an antique bohemian feel with the decor. The bar and a cute seating area in the front with a bunch of tables and seating in the back. The staff are all so passionately knowledgeable about the wine offerings and pairing. The meat and cheese selections are to die for!! I was assisted by the wonderful bartender who helped me choose some great wine and cheese choices. The music and vibe here is euphoric if your alone or meeting friends I'd highly recommend!

Jessica M.

Yelp
Love the quirky ambiance! Got the charcuterie board for food, delicious. I've been here multiple times and the wine list is just great. So nice to have a good wine bar in the city.

Bevann K.

Yelp
Oh, what a night, everything was perfect. We read about the different wines the wine mixer has, and were interested in trying a few. I had Vouvray wine in about 2008, but this was my chance for a 2021. It was quite good, not as sweet as my previous memory. My husband tried Cote du Rhone. He enjoyed it, but then decided to try the mother-in-law, which was much like a Manhattan, or a old-fashioned. it was very good in the most iced covered glass I have ever seen. We had a charcuterie made up of prosciutto, salami, goat cheese and a second cheese ( you had your choice of two meats and two cheese). There was a Dijon mustard, a jam, apricots, cashews, soaked raisins and bread. We were given oil for dipping, and a chicken pate that was out of this world, served with crusted toasts. What a wonderful experience. I can't wait to go back.

Katherine L.

Yelp
This is an upper lawrenceville staple! The staff is so friendly and helpful, and I always feel comfortable asking for wine recommendations - they aren't snobby about it! They have a great wine selection and I love their snacks. Such a great place to go catch up with friends, and they have weekly specials such as pie night, hot dog night, fondue night, etc. that I have yet to check out, but I definitely plan to!

Natalie S.

Yelp
Came here for happy hour (duh) and it did not disappoint! Parking: on the street (I didn't see a meter or a pay station) HH: 1/2 off all meats and cheeses, $3 beer, $4 half pours of wine We decided to get 4 meats and 4 cheeses. The tray was beautifully put together and included mustard, nuts, fruit, jam, and pickled veggies. The portions of the meats and cheeses were excellent. Very tasty! The wines were delicious! I basically just drank around the world. The staff was friendly and attentive. The decor of this place was eclectic and had local art for sale on the walls. Will definitely be back!

Megan M.

Yelp
Always great. Solid. From the covid take out toasties, new years balloon drops, to the Sunday hot dog specials... Allegheny wine mixer brings the yinzers to the yard. Love it. Always and forever. I live for 5 pm hot dog posts even though I rarely come.

Rachel T.

Yelp
My favorite place to go pre-covid! It is awesome that they have been offering care packages to go all year. For around $50 you get a mystery bottle of wine (I always pick red and have never been disappointed) and a bag full of themed snacks! It is a great deal and the cheeses and wines are always fantastic. I'm excited to sit outside there now that the weather is getting warmer!

Lauren A.

Yelp
I came to this wine bar to get a drink and app before dinner. What stood out the most while I was here was how average the service was because it brought down our mood to be honest. It took about 15 mins to have someone come by to our table (which was fine) but long enough for me to wonder if I was supposed to go to the bar since I didn't see a QR code anywhere or if someone was coming around to service us. The staff were really flat too; not engaging and made us feel like we were bothering them more than we were paying customers. When we walked in we saw open seats where people had just left so we walked over thinking we could grab them since it was pretty packed but a server came by and gave us attitude since she needed to clean up. Not horrible by any means, she was doing her job, but also not how I was expecting the drinks to go. We ordered two Spanish red wines and a cheese plate (goats cheese plate) with green olives on the side. Things came out in decent time and tasted fine. Again, just a very okay experience.

Samantha R.

Yelp
I've heard nothing but great things about AWM and was excited to bring my friend here who was visiting from out of town. We walk in and it's decently crowded for a rainy Friday night. The only available table is the booth in the back corner. There's a sign that reads "for parties of four or more only" and I think to myself, we are a party of three and won't stay long, it should be fine right? I walked to the bar and tried saying hi to someone working the bar. He immediately interrupts me and says that the bartenders will help me at the other end of the bar. I try explaining I just have a question for them and eventually another person working there walks up. When I ask if we can sit at the booth she tells me that they need to reserve this for larger parties that may or may not come in throughout the night. Given that there was no other space, she essentially told us we had to leave, because there was nowhere else to sit. She looked around the bar and said "people are settling in for the night. Sorry". I was shocked. They would rather wait and see if they can get more money out of a larger party than serve people who were there and ready to pay? I can understand if it was a ten top table, but it was a booth that could fit maybe six people comfortably. This isn't a restaurant and they don't take reservations. It's a small wine bar where I thought they would want people to patron. Their loss. Go to literally anywhere else in upper Lawrenceville for good service and people that want you there. We went to Hopfarm instead and we're greeted by incredibly warm and kind people and plenty of places to sit.

Melissa T.

Yelp
Delicious food, wine, drinks & atmosphere!! They even buy meats/cheeses from the strip.

Karla D.

Yelp
I often wonder what's wrong with me when it comes to not reviewing places in my own backyard. Places I frequent on a regular basis. Anyway. I like it here. Especially for happy hour. They offer really good deals. $4 for a glass of win, ok! I love the feel and vibe of this joint too. It reminds me of spots I've visited in other major cities. Cool without being pretentious.

Bansri P.

Yelp
Came here on a Friday for happy hour and were seated immediately. However, the service went downhill from there. Granted there was only one waitress for the whole place, the service was extremely slow. Our first round of orders came out fairly quickly, but once they got busy, we waited almost an hour for the cheese plates we ordered. The cheese plates were pretty small, but reasonably priced for happy hour. The cheddar was the best one out of the ones we tried. Overall, it was a cool atmosphere and a casual wine bar in the Burgh, but won't be back because we were there from 5-7 and were only able to put in one drink order.

Maggie T.

Yelp
love this quirky little place. perfect location and usually a spot at the bar opens up even on a busy night. fun little snacks and best of all it's in a fun neighborhood. parking is tricky, that's the only complaint

Joseph B.

Yelp
This place has a pleasant, quirky atmosphere, curated with interesting things on the walls and a lot of detail. The staff is attentive and the cocktails are fun, plus the wine list is good. Tapas are presented well and served quickly. Throughout the space there are various seating options available, and bar seating is also a strong option.

Jacqueline O.

Yelp
I stopped into AWM a few weeks ago for a Friday happy hour. It was such a great time that I decided to take my out of town friend here for happy hour the following week. I really liked their happy hour deal - half pours of wine for $4, draft beer for $3, and 1/2 off meat and cheese selections from 5-7 PM. In my opinion, those deals are reason to go back alone. Disclaimer: the beers are very small, but that's not what I was at AWM for. I sampled 4 wines each time. My favorites were the Lambrusco sparkling wine and the Malbec. AWM is a great cozy casual spot that I'll likely be making my go-to during the winter months.

Katelynn D.

Yelp
Absolutely loved this Lawrenceville hidden gem! We hit this place after a few hours out exploring Lawrenceville, and I immediately fell in love! It's a little place, with a rather rustic feel to it. We sat down at the bar, and we were greeted by a very friendly, quiet bartender. I was between a Riesling and white German wine, and he offered great advice when asked. The abundant wine selection was any wine lovers dream, and I was very satisfied with my choice! It did start to get crowded around 7 pm, but not overwhelmingly. Can't wait to visit again!

Mike R.

Yelp
The AWM is one special neighborhood gathering spot. Care is taken at every step. The ambiance is clever, fun, scary and moving (if you like clever, scary, Stepbrothers, clowns, etc). The cocktails are fantastic, the small draft list is very thoughtful and of course the wine is tremendous. Nothing but love for what I hope is a Pittsburgh institution for decades to come

Lindsay B.

Yelp
Beautiful wine and charcuterie pairings. Excellent service. Chill, quirky, fun vibes.

Mac R.

Yelp
I've grown to love this little bar and also consider it one of my favorite Happy Hour spots. Their selections of wine are terrific and the price points are very fair. I've always found 4 or 5 wines that I'd like to try on their list of whites or bubbles and my husband has felt similarly on the reds list. This isn't typical for either of us in Pittsburgh bars, so Allegheny Wine Mixer is a clear standout. They also often have a featured region on their wine menu. They do half pours for $4 during Happy Hour starting at 5pm weekdays so it's an excellent time to try something you might not be familiar with to see how you like it. The fruit, cheese, and charcuterie plates are delicious and service has always been terrific. We love sitting at the bar but even with a decent sized group at a back table our service could not have been better. Solid 4.5 Stars!

Teresa T.

Yelp
We ended our night at AWM and it was a great find. The space is cozy and eclectic with lots of space. We were lucky to snag the back booth and post up. Everyone's cocktails were delicious, my Giggle Water was exactly what I wanted. We got some plates to share; olives, toastie, cheese, stuffed dates, and olive tapenade. They were all great accompaniments to our drinks. There was a draft while we sat but I think that's due to the old building. We all loved Allegheny Wine Mixerr and want to come back soon!

Ruchi S.

Yelp
This place was awesome!! The service was great. Parking was free and quick to find. The energy in the place is so chill and laid back! The waitress was awesome (sorry, forgot her name). My husband got a glass of red wine and I got a flight of red wine. I asked the waitress to pick any three for me and she did a great job!! They were all completely different in taste from each other and delicious. We also got the Gouda grilled cheese, without bacon. It's so yummy! They spread apricot butter on it and there's jalapeños as well. So you get cheese, spice and sweet all in one bite. We also tried the mixed cheese plate which had 2 different cheeses with bread and a bit of fruit. We mentioned to our waitress that we got married a month ago and she brought us a plate of assorted chocolate!! So so so sweet. All of this only cost us $33. Go here. Highly recommend. Perfect date night that won't break the bank. Also, the wall art is awesome! Loved seeing Margaret Keane's work on there.

Gary R.

Yelp
This is the best wine bar in Pittsburgh, in my opinion. That doesn't make it 5 stars but it gets close. The wine selections are top notch and not wine you'll find anywhere else in the city. I think that sets it apart as does the owners' search for wines to bring back home for us sheltered PA State Store patrons. If only we had a private liquor enterprise... but I digress, and get saddened. Their travels to explore wine regions is an interesting read on their blog. They will often feature wine styles or wine regions in their ever changing offerings. The small space is both a drawback and an advantage. It's tough to meetup with more than a couple friends here but that also means you can have a quiet, reflective time with your SO and enjoy spectacular wines. Happy Hour? With $4 half pours you can take yourself on a wine journey without breaking the bank or getting too tipsy. And the cheese/fruit trays? Awesome complement to delightful wines. Staff has always been superb and knowledgeable. We need more places like Allegheny Wine Mixer.

Tanecha C.

Yelp
This is such a relaxing wine bar. The environment is low-key and relaxing. If you are not sure which wine to try, bartenders are happy to help. We ordered a cheese and meat platter. Trying different cheeses with perfect wine is the best mix ever! It was Monday night when my friends and I went. They had a happy hour special until 7 . Half off a half glass of wine. If you love antique like me, then you will enjoy the decorations .

Ragini G.

Yelp
It was the first time I had ventured that far up in Lawrenceville. Met a friend around 5 pm when the venue opens for a drink to catch up. The venue is small and it was quiet since it was still early. I thought it was cool that they had "wine cocktails." I got the giggle water after hearing good things about it from my fellow yelpers. It was very yummy, but I thought a bit small for the price ($9). The presentation of the cocktail was nice though. My friend got the try two rose wines, which she liked. As a snack we got olives, which I surprisingly liked (I usually don't like olives). They were more salty and less pungent. We also got the "Sleeper Plate" which had delicious pumpernickel bread. The menu says "boozy apricots" but they weren't that boozy to my palate. The serving was a bit small for the price. All in all, this is definitely a cool place. Although I am making remarks about the price to serving ratio, I do acknowledge that this is pretty standard for places here. I do think there are happy hours in the city that afford better deals (especially for students, like me!)

Tim K.

Yelp
Smaller bar. Cool atmosphere and looks cool inside. Has food and all cocktails and drinks as well as wine

Shelby S.

Yelp
This is a great place to relax with some drinks and snacks! While they do have a great selection of wine, they do offer cocktails and beer. You can sit at the bar or they have tables in the back. When I went on a Thursday night, DJ Big Phil was spinning and the music was on point! As for food, we got the chicken liver pate, a fruit plate, and a chocolate plate. The chicken liver pate was okay, but the chocolate plate was my favorite and even came with some berries and the assortment included chocolate covered BACON! These were decently priced for how much you get. Also I was super impressed by the amenities in the bathroom! They offer mints, condoms, feminine products, and lotion! These are awesome to have as options just in case. Overall, it was really good for my first time and I'll definitely be back.

Ron C.

Yelp
This is a cool wine bar located in Lawrenceville. There is plenty of street parking which was a positive right from the get go. It had a nice vibe to it and was consistently busy. The prices for wine are good here. They have $8, $10, and $12 glass options and some more expensive ones if you're game. Coming from DC, I'm finding most of the food and drink prices in the area to be fantastic. This is definitely a place I'd return to and recommend if you're a wine bar fan.

Selena W.

Yelp
I've stopped into AWM a couple times with my girlfriends and it's such a fun place to hang out and have a drink! The service is great but the cocktails really set it over! Though it's location puts the upper in upper lawrenceville I promise you it's worth the walk up butler street.

Meghan B.

Yelp
Visited AWM for happy hour for the 2nd time this month, and I am hooked! Happy hour is from 5-7pm and includes specials on cheese & meat plates (half off), $4 half full glasses of wine and $3 beer. Their wine selection is incredible and changes frequently. The same goes with their cheeses and meats. There is always something new to try. Both times I visited I tried a random assortment of cheeses and meats and both times I have loved everything. They serve the cheeses and meats with all of the accompaniments you could want- wine soaked raisins, mustard, berry compote, fresh fruit, pecans, fresh bread & oil, etc. So tasty. I have also tried their grilled cheese (amazing), creme brulee (creamy and delicious) and their nutella moose (YUM). Their wines are all delicious and the servers are knowledgable on the selection and have been helpful with recommendations. Their cocktails are also tasty- the giggle water being a favorite for me. Overall, this spot is a hidden gem and I really enjoy coming here. I can't wait to stop by again! P.S. Keep an eye out for decor that relates to the movie, Stepbrothers! It's the Catalina Wine Mixer! : )

Yelp
Awesome wine selection and atmosphere. Highly recommend going on a Tuesday for Fonduesday for fondue with delicious dipping options. Happened to go on an opera night with live music and it was very entertaining. Perfect girls night or pre dinner date night spot!

Yelp
There aren't many places like this in the burgh and I truly have no complaints about the experience. Though we did not sample any of the yummy bites that pair with the wine, I had a delicious brut rose bubbly that hit the spot. I appreciated that the bartender was knowledgeable and able to make great recommendations. It was also nice to see extensive options for all different kinds of wine lovers. Looking forward to another visit.

Yelp
I felt right at home with the quirky, mod, kitschy decor. I could just live at Allegheny Wine Mixer. Spoiler alert: I'm not a wine person, so I didn't get get any wine. However...the cocktails were On. Point. I'm a gin girl, so anytime I come across a fun sounding gin cocktail, I'm ordering it. I was pleased to order the Giggle Juice and boy was it delightful. So light and refreshing. Probably one of the best cocktails on Butler St! I also ordered some cheese and meats during happy hour and it probably so delicious. I was living for the presentation. But I was DYING for the cheese. Cheese oh man was it spectacular. I was hoping for some more legit baguette paired with the cheese and meat, but alas it was still tasty! Can't wait to return!
