Portland’s Best Restaurant Patios Where You Can Dine Outside in Style | Eater Portland

"With a menu designed as an ode to Alpine cuisine, Alpenraüsch’s expertise is keeping diners warm with cozy apres-ski dishes like fondue and grilled trout with spaetzle. The tented parking lot patio offers heaters and a fire pit in the colder months. On sunnier days, take a seat at one of the shaded long wooden tables to enjoy a schnapps flight and an Olympia Provisions charcuterie cone during happy hour." - Thom Hilton

The Best Restaurants on Portland’s Southeast Division | Eater Portland

"This is the restaurant formerly known as Olympia Provisions Public House, reborn as an Alpine ski lodge with hearty, fill-you-up-after-a-ski-day-in-the-Alps mountain fare like gooey fondue, venison tartare, and herbaceous spirits. Diners still sprawl out to drink strong German beers and knock back freshly made sausages. The restaurant also serves Olympia Provisions’ renowned boards, huge plates of house charcuterie and artisan cheeses studded with pickles and mustard." - Zoe Baillargeon

Portland, Oregon’s Best Cozy Restaurants and Bars | Eater Portland

"Alpenraüsch leans into cozy as part of its visual identity: think white fur blankets slung over chairs; a wood-burning stove propped in full view of the dining room. On the menu, you’ll find things like charcuterie boards primed for sharing (its sister restaurant is Olympia Provisions, after all), pomme frites bathed in a red wine jus, a Bavarian pretzel with fonduta and mustard, and crisp rosti served alongside smoked trout and creme fraiche. Cocktails will bring diners closer together, including fun options like a schnaps flight. The vibe here is very winter in the mountains year-round, meaning you don’t have to leave Portland for the full Alpine experience." - Carrie Uffindell

Where to Find Cheese Fondue in Portland | Eater Portland

"What was once Olympia Provisions Public House is now this love letter to the Alps from the same owners, a Southeast Division restaurant celebrating the various cuisines found in the south-central European mountain range. So of course, Alpenrausch serves a very traditional Gruyère and Emmentaler fondue, for those who have eaten it in the motherland — expect something thinner than what you’d find at a Melting Pot, but still plenty luscious, with plenty of booze that cooks down over the course of the meal. The fondue comes with Olympia Provisions kaisekrainer, bratwurst, and other cured meats, plus new potatoes, pickles, bread, and a rotating selection of produce." - Brooke Jackson-Glidden
