Anafe - Review - Colegiales - Buenos Aires - The Infatuation

"Anafe, located on a cobblestone street in Colegiales, has been quietly excellent for years. Their minimalist decor is all clean lines and neutral tones, while the creative fusion dishes are anything but plain. The menu rotates, but features local ingredients with Asian, Middle Eastern, and Mediterranean influences. Think sweetbreads glazed with sweet-and-sour sauce, or oyster mushrooms with a nutty pesto you’ll wish they sold by the bottle. Choose Anafe for a friend-date or a date-date—really anytime you want to impress someone with your subtle but right-on-trend taste. Share a few small plates,  ask your server about the small-production Argentine wines on the menu, and bask in your own excellent judgement." - Annie Bacher

"The story of Mica Najmanovich and Nico Arcucci, who were already harbouring culinary dreams as students, is a tale of great conviction, as both pursued their ambition to work as chefs on their travels to Australia and Barcelona respectively. Their travels enabled them to assimilate cosmopolitan techniques and knowledge to their repertoire through influences from around the world. On their return, they started to work with pop-ups and, from this came a desire to open Anafe. In this simple eatery in the Colegiales district, their message is to “eat well, drink good wine and do both in a relaxed ambience”, hence their focus on global recipes with Asian, Australian, Jewish and Mediterranean influences, in which smoke and the open grill are the core elements in dishes designed for sharing, in keeping with Argentinian tradition. Their menu features cured fish, oyster mushrooms with cajú purée, grilled chicken with piri piri, and a superb calamari rice, to name just a few dishes." - Michelin Inspector

The 38 Best Restaurants in Buenos Aires, Argentina | Eater

"After hosting wildly popular pop-ups, chefs Mica Najmanovich and Nicolas Arcucci opened Anafe, where the vibe is laid-back but the dishes are anything but relaxed. The husband-and-wife duo reinterprets Eastern European, Italian, and Mediterranean cuisines in small plates that emphasize texture, freshness, and flavor. Vegetarians won’t leave hungry, since more than half of the menu is meat-free. Just save room for dessert, the forte of Najmanovich, a pastry chef by training. If you can’t make it for a full meal, check out the duo’s cafe, La Ventana, next door." - Allie Lazar

The 15 Best New Restaurants in Buenos Aires | Eater

"If you’ve read a Buenos Aires guidebook published in the past decade, you’ve probably noticed the “Puertas Cerradas” box recommending the intimate multicourse dinners inside private homes that were once all the rage. Today, times have changed, and fresh young minds are transforming the “closed door” supper-club concept. After organizing pop-ups in kitchens across BA, freshman chefs Mica Najmanovich and Nico Arcucci settled on the eighth floor of a high-rise on the Palermo-Colegiales-Chacarita border, complete with an outdoor terrace overlooking the Dorrego Flea Market. The vibe might be laid back, but the masterful dishes reinterpreting Eastern European, Italian, and Middle Eastern cuisines are anything but relaxed, and each small plate emphasizes texture, freshness, and flavor. Vegetarians won’t leave hungry either, since more than half of the menu is meat-free. The wine list features an excellent selection of boutique wines, like the orange torrontés and chardonnay blend from Pielihueso. Anafe serves dinner Thursdays through Saturdays, offers a fixed-price all-you-can-eat brunch buffet on Sundays, and regularly uses the space for gastronomic events and pop-ups." - Allie Lazar

From start to finish the experience was fabulous. The service was on point, but not overwhelming, perfect. The food was spectacular. I toured the kitchen and it was spotlessly clean and well organized. I am a Restaurateur and a former Food Network TV Host so when I say this place was great I mean it and do not take reviews lightly. If you are planning a trip to BA be sure to add Anafe to your list.

Google
Deserves a 5 star rating because of the price quality ratio of the dishes. It has a seasonal menu so any recommendation might not be there next time. However, the cachapa and the carpaccio were outstanding. Do not miss their signature paté dish and also their profiteroles for dessert. Wine selection is big and with good prices. Would love to come back! Particularly with a group of friends so that you can try more plates!

One of the best meals we had in BA. Fresh and not over complicated dishes makes the taste pop. The Burrita, takaki, couscous, and steak were perfect although we could have done w/o the couscous from a quantity perspective. Our dinner felt rushed which in hindsight we should have said something about. Outside eating was perfect with a breeze but inside was playing some nice music which I would have enjoyed outside as well. If you enjoy a good meal you can’t go wrong w Anafe.

Anafe is an absolute gem and one of the best dining experiences we've ever had! From the moment we walked in, everything was extraordinary. The ambiance was warm and inviting, setting the perfect tone for an unforgettable meal. Chef Meli is a true artist—each dish was meticulously crafted, bursting with flavors, and left us wanting more. The wine pairing was impeccable, complementing each course beautifully, and the dessert was simply divine, the perfect finish to a spectacular evening. Anafe exceeded all of our expectations, and we can’t wait to return! Highly recommended!

Everything was extraordinary good! We had an amazing dinner, tried almost everything on the menu! The pork and beef carpaccio were my favorites. Desserts also delicious. The service was great, very understanding, half of our party couldn’t get there early, and then show up with plus two, and they were super helpful adding them to the table, which usually is an inconvenient in many places. Great selection of wines too! Very good prices for a Michelin guide restaurant!

Food was outstanding and innovative. Definitely make room for dessert (no one should leave without trying the Strawberries and Sambayon or the Pavlova). Service was very attentive and corteous. We liked it so much, we are going back again this week (reservations already made). There are plenty of options if you are better or vegan. We do not eat meat, had several dishes and liked them so much, we are going back again, without having to repeat them. Had lunch outside on a lukewarm Summer day and it was very pleasant.

This was one of the best restaurants we went to during our stay in Buenos Aires! Love the share style plates and everything was so refined, the whole experience felt very lux. Our server was very friendly and helped explain dishes to us in English as one person in our group did not speak Spanish.

One of the best meals I’ve ever had. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The staff was friendly and kind, and I would make it a priority to go back.
