Appellation Healdsburg

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Appellation Healdsburg and would absolutely give it 5 out of 5 stars. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed. The front desk greeted us with a warm smile, a glass of wine, and delicious house made cookies from the chef, which set such a lovely tone for our trip. The property itself is beautiful, peaceful, and incredibly well maintained. There were always staff members caring for the grounds and everything looked immaculate. It was amazingly quiet and calm, we did not even notice any neighbors during our stay, which made it feel very private and relaxing. Our room was spotless and exceptionally clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the views were gorgeous. The pools were beautiful and the breakfast we enjoyed through room service was delicious. We also enjoyed an evening at the Beeline upstairs rooftop bar. The views were breathtaking. We ordered small apps and drinks, those were very delightful. Everything about our stay felt thoughtful and high quality. We will definitely be back again.

We had a wonderful stay! The hotel was incredibly comfortable and cozy—exactly what you want when traveling. The heated pool was a huge bonus, and swimming in January was such a treat. Every single meal was amazing. The housekeeping staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, which made us feel truly cared for. We would happily return!

Just came back from this amazing place and already thinking about the next visit ! lol My husband took me here for surprise b day getaway and we were genuinely impressed by the warm hospitality, fantastic amenities, the ambiance and detailed and personalized service by the staffs . We were greeted by wonderful staffs who offered us savory pastries and water. Check in was smooth and convenient even on the weekend. Once we entered the room, we had small gifts from the hotel with card from the general manger for my birthday. The room was spacious, clean , well designed and bed was comfortable. The room was very quiet so I was able to sleep without disruption. My kid and I thoroughly enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi. The best part for me was the massage. I had one of the best massages in my life , thanks to my massage therapist, Kayla. Her touch was so therapeutic and relax. Even days after the massage, I am feeling relaxed. The dinner at the hotel was overall good while the entree was a bit disappointing. Overall, we had such a resting and memorable weekend there and would love to come back soon ! We spent three nights at Appellation Healdsburg over Christmas and absolutely loved our stay. The property is beautiful and feels quietly luxurious, with thoughtful touches everywhere.The gym is excellent for a hotel of this size – well-equipped, modern, and never felt overcrowded. The spa is truly top notch, with a serene atmosphere and high-quality treatments that made the stay feel like a real retreat. Valet service was consistently awesome throughout our visit – friendly, prompt, and genuinely helpful. The on-site restaurant is amazing, with creative, delicious dishes and a strong focus on local, seasonal ingredients; it really feels like a destination in itself. We loved the rooftop bar as well! Morning coffee and coffee throughout the day were great quality, which we really appreciated as coffee people. Our room was well appointed, with bottled waters, a designated makeup towel, and Lather bath products that gave it a boutique, spa-like feel. A few small nits and suggestions for the future: *Complimentary drip coffee in the lobby for hotel guests in the morning would be a wonderful touch, especially in a culinary-focused property. *A Bluetooth speaker in the room would make it easier to enjoy music or podcasts while getting ready or winding down. *Housekeeping was a bit inconsistent; on multiple days we had to call down to request service even after being out of the room for several hours, so more proactive daily housekeeping would elevate the experience. Overall, Appellation Healdsburg is a fantastic addition to wine country, and we would absolutely return. With a few minor tweaks this will be a near-perfect stay!

Enjoyed three nights at Appellation Healdsburg. It's new, beautiful in every way, and worth a stay! The staff is very welcoming and warm, making us feel special throughout our time there. The grounds are lovely with nice areas for socializing and quiet, contemplative moments by the many fireplaces. Weekly activities when we stayed included wine tasting with snacks, hot cocoa and cookies, and yappy hour with dogs. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a view of vineyards, really pretty! Loved the amenities, such as the fancy kettle to make coffee or tea, fridge for leftovers, fancy wine glasses! There was ample storage and a well-designed bathroom with nice products and lots of lovely towels. The bed was very comfortable, too. It was too cold, foggy, and damp to sit on our balcony, but I imagine it would be lovely in the warmer months. The restaurant and lounge are both fun with delicious food and drink offerings and the rooftop bar looked very inviting! We had enough wine tasting during the day, so we just enjoyed the view from the top level. We did not use the pools, hot tub, fitness center, or spa, but they all looked inviting and high-end. Highly recommend staying here, especially if you have a dog! We appreciated self-parking and easy access to downtown Healdsburg and surrounding wineries. Also enjoyed a refreshing walk/hike in the Healdsburg Ridge Open Space Reserve close by the hotel.

We had a great stay at this hotel. The rooms are new and big, the pool was heated and warm even on a frigid winter morning. Our kids had a blast playing bocce ball and on the activity lawn. We made friends with a couple other Bay Area families as well. And the location, which is 5 minutes from downtown Healdsburg, was great.

The facilities and the food we had at Folia were good; however, the resort still has several issues that affect the overall experience and don’t align with the standard they’re advertising. We didn’t feel the value matched the price. Areas that need improvement include concierge service, guest reservations, and housekeeping. Also, be cautious when booking packages. Overall, we couldn’t give more than 2 stars.

My fiancé, our long-haired dachshund Penne, and I stayed at Appellation Healdsburg for a night, and it was easily one of the best dog-friendly hotel experiences we’ve ever had in Sonoma County. From the moment we arrived, the team made all three of us feel genuinely welcomed. The rooms are so beautiful, warm, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. And the private patio was perfect for relaxing with our pup with a glass of wine! If you’re looking for truly pet-friendly accommodations in Healdsburg, this is the place. Penne loved exploring the walkable grounds and was treated like a VIP, which meant so much to us. We spent the afternoon at their onsite spa, Terroir Spa, which was incredible. The treatments are rooted in the local landscape and felt restorative in a way that’s rare to find. Afterward, we enjoyed cocktails and dinner at Andys Beeline Rooftop Bar, which has amazing views and seriously delicious food, a must for anyone staying on property. We started our morning with room service before checking out, and it was such a luxury to unwind in a space that felt as comfortable as home. Every touchpoint from the service, the design, the food, the care for pets made the stay extra special. If you’re searching for a dog-friendly wine country hotel, a romantic getaway, or a beautiful place to stay in Healdsburg with pets this holiday season, I can’t recommend Appellation enough. We can’t wait to come back!
