London’s Best South Indian Restaurants Serve Kerala and Hyderabadi Food - Eater London

"This spacious, busy, no-frills Wembley branch is part of an absolutely massive international vegetarian chain with several restaurants in London. The menu is as large as its global ambitions, with a mind-boggling choice of idli, dosa, and vada — not to mention curries, noodles, rice dishes, breads, and a Jain menu. Kara dosa, made from toor dal, raw rice, coconut and spices such as dried red chillies, are stuffed with a gentle potato-onion masala. There’s a good selection of idlis here — regular and mini-sized, steamed and fried, smeared in ghee, or dipped in sambar. To drink, there’s an imaginative selection of freshly pressed juices: grape, pineapple, and ginger being a particularly refreshing combination." - Sejal Sukhadwala

Saravana Bhavan Review - East Ham - London - The Infatuation

"It’s worth making the trip out to East Ham or Wembley to Saravana Bhavan, which has some of the best South Indian-style food anywhere in town. The whole experience is a bit of an adventure, and part of the fun is feeling you could be in Tamil Nadu (or the West Midlands, at the very least). Get a few idlis and a dosa, and maybe some spicy rasam. It’s where all of our Indian friends go, and if you want to go the whole hog, pop into one of the local Asian sweet shops afterwards for dessert." - David Paw

Vegetarian Feast in Wembley Service: we had some of the best people for our table, they helped at their best when needed. They often keep checking for help if we need any. Plance was packed with people for lunch, food did not take longer to arrive. Menu: we were here for lunch and breakfast. Lunch time was full house but we were seated with no wait, it was constant flow of people. Breakfast at 10am on Sunday was quiet, they served authentic food here. All are fresh and tasty. Food was 10 out of 10. Their breakfast combo was a saver but not available during the weekend. Ambience: newly fitted place, the space was well utilised and modern looking. They have a sweet counter for snacks to take home. They do have home delivery service through Deliveroo I believe.

We had the North Indian thali at NK Arya Bhavan in Wembley and really enjoyed it. The thali offered a generous variety—each dish was distinct, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The pooris were perfectly puffed and not oily, and everything from the dal to the paneer was spot on. Service was warm and efficient, and the overall vibe was relaxed and welcoming. Great value for money too. Definitely a place we’d come back to for a satisfying, authentic vegetarian meal.

Excellent vegetarian place. Had chana bhatura, baby corn manchurian.. both were very good. Service was quick. Staff was polite and gave additional curry on request. Filter coffee was aromatic and tasted very authentic.

I feel unfortunately the quality has dropped. Food lacked flavor and quality. Previous saravana bhavan did better. But friendly staff and great service

We had been here for lunch and had Gobi Manchurian dry, Garlic naan, butter kulcha, kadai paneer Punjabi, chole bhatura and badam kheer, all items tastes are good but badam kheer is not up to the mark, but ok. It's a very visited place when you are around Wembley.

Some items were good, others not so much. The sukku coffee didn’t taste much like coffee or ginger, and it wasn’t filtered properly as there were loads of bits left in the drink which just made it unpleasant. The meal did pick up with the paneer butter masala which also came with a surprisingly generous amount of paneer. We also tried the mushroom biriyani, which tasted good but felt more like a pulao as it lacked the distinct layers and masala you’d expect from a traditional biriyani, and instead had that all-in-one-pot kind of texture. Still nice, just not really what it claimed to be. The paneer tikka was decent, but what threw me off was the choice of dips. Instead of the classic mint chutney, it came with a tomato chutney that’s usually served with tiffins, and something they called “eggless mayo” that tasted more like an overly sweet cottage cheese spread. Not a fan. That said, the staff were friendly and the atmosphere was chil. It wasn’t a bad meal, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to return either.

If you're craving authentic South Indian flavours in London, this place is a must-visit. The Podi Dosa was a standout—perfectly crispy with that fiery, flavour-packed podi (gunpowder) spice mix. The Ghee Masala Dosa was equally amazing—rich, buttery, and filled with perfectly spiced potato filling. Don’t skip the sweets—Mysore Pak and Rava Kesari were both spot on. Fresh, not overly sweet, and brought back real Indian vibes. Service was quick, the staff were friendly, and the food felt straight out of a Tamil Nadu kitchen. Will definitely return!

Extremely Disappointed with Aryan Bhavans North Indian Thali I ordered 2 North Indian Thalis from Aryan Bhagan via Uber Eats, and the experience was terrible. Not only was the order incomplete, but what we did receive was disgusting and inedible. • The chapatis were half-cooked, rubbery, and tasted stale (attached photo as proof). • The dal or sabzi and soup looked like watery leftovers with zero taste or freshness • To top it off, they told us to order something else worth £16 just to get the Thali delivered. And for what? This pathetic excuse for a meal? So overall spents £47 for 2 Thalis and mango lassi but the taste was so bad and the lassi was like salty buttermilk This was supposed to be a North Indian Thali, but it felt more like a joke. If you care about food quality or value for money, avoid this place at all costs. Never ordering again. Total waste of money and time.
