Beautiful restaurant. The ambience is very nice and cozy. We did the tasting menu and it was such a great experience. We also did the wine pairing and the sommelier was very knowledgeable and made the experience fun! I’ve always wanted to come to Au Courant and it lived up to all expectations that I’ve had for it. A must visit in Omaha.

Great date night spot in Omaha! Food and drinks were all fabulous. We each did the tasting menu and all the courses were filling, tasty, and well prepared. Nothing super over-the-top creative like some Michelin restaurants, but all the dishes were executed very well with strong, classical, and balanced flavors. Staff were all very friendly and accommodating. We received one of our dishes out of order (meat before pasta; we didn't even notice until they mentioned it), and the waitress comped 2 drinks for us, which was totally unnecessary but very much awesome! It was a little noisy inside with people chatting, but obviously no fault of the restaurant plus it was a Saturday night. It's great that this is also one of few restaurants on Resy in Omaha, so if you have an Amex card with credit then this is probably the best spot in town to use it at!

Went on a Friday evening and enjoyed the chef's tasting menu with the wine pairing. It was one of the best dining experience we've ever had. From the food to the service, everything was top tier. We felt like family. If you're doing the tasting menu, make sure to add the wine pairing. Staff is very knowledgeable and carefully select unique wines for each pairing. Highly recommend!

It was my first fine dining experience, and it did not disappoint. I thoroughly enjoyed the tasting menu with wine pairing. My favorite dish of the evening was the gnocchi, and I appreciated the wine pairing enhanced by the lovely descriptions from the sommelier. I eagerly await the day when I dine here again. The only ding I have is that the dining room gets quite loud when full.

Went in kind of late but the staff was really welcoming and still excited to see people come in. I sat at the bar solo an the did the tasting menu. I wasn’t drinking that night but I got a few refills on my Diet Coke which is important for Diet Coke drinkers. I did notice that the Somm was pouring some Sashi Moorman wines so they really know what’s up. If you want to drink wine, talk to that guy and he’ll probably guide you to a really good place. As the tasting menu came a few different staff members dropped dishes which I really like and is always a nice touch. They had one of the chefs come by a few times and that guy was awesome. The egg was my favorite, could eat a bucket of it. Bartenders were funny and charming.

Fantastic experience at Au Courant. Restaurant has a great ambience and helpful wait staff. All their food is locally sourced and fresh. While they have an A la carte menu, highly recommend the tasting menu. $80 for about 6 courses was much worth it. Each dish was amazing and well portioned to leave you satisfied/full by the end. The chef changes it each week!

My partner and I had an excellent experience at Au Courant! We both had the chef's tasting menu, which did not disappoint. The server was top tier. He was very knowledgeable, guiding us through the full menu. One of our favorites was the Swordfish Carpaccio. Our only gripe was the steak was a little over cooked on the edges and the side did not pair well with it. Overall, it was an exceptional experience!

This is hands down the best restaurant in Omaha. Their menu changes weekly, with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, and by far the most elegant and intentionally curated plates in town. Micah took care of us tonight, and was a delight, as are all the other members of staff we have encountered in our multiple visits to this hidden gem. Don't hesitate to try this masterful restaurant!

I don't think I can leave a glowing enough review for this place that even does it justice! If I could rate 10 stars I would. Au Courant is one of THEE best restaurants in Omaha. We did the tasting menu which is 6 courses plus wine pairings. I didn't think I would be full by the end but by the fourth course I nearly was stuffed and I barely could keep up on my wine parings (this is a good thing meaning the pours aren't just sips!) Each course was absolutely fabulous and unique. The sommelier did an amazing job talking about each paring and was super fun and nice to interact with. Our waiter was also pretty great and lively. We ended the dinner with a little espresso and that was a pretty great end to a perfect dinner and experience. I literally can not wait to come here again. If I had the money, I'd be here every week (note that this place is a little pricey but as you can tell...worth every penny). I also would probably make a reservation if you plan on coming here! The atmosphere is gorgeous, with romantic lighting and intimate tables. Great for dates, one-on-ones, or small groups!

A group of friends and I visited Au Courant for one of their birthday dinners. I had never been to Au Courant, but had heard good things, so I was super excited! When we walked in to the restaurant we were immediately greeted by a lively atmosphere, lots of plants and fun decor, a cool bar at the center, and a wonderful host who sat us at our table. We had made a reservation, and I'm so glad we did because they were very busy. It added to the bustling ambiance, so I didn't mind, but just be sure you call ahead/book online as it seemed very few walk ins were getting tables. Our group of four each decided to dine a la carte. Just a note, if you want to do the Chef's Tasting Menu or the A La Carte menu, the decision has to be made for the whole table. You can't do half the people doing a la carte and half the chef's menu, so definitely decide beforehand how your group will dine. They have a great list of wine, beer, cocktails, and spirits. I had the Fat Orange Cat IPA (because I like IPAs and have a fat orange cat myself), and it was light and crisp, perfect for the hot summer day. My friend ordered the Cola cocktail, and it tasted exactly like a Coca Cola but had some hidden gin and sherry in there. So, as I said, our group did the a la carte menu, and because of that we got to order lots of different things and share a few bites of each, which I loved. For starters, we had three: -Chovy's Egg: We actually each got one of these, and I recommend that because it's not gigantic (and it doesn't need to be, because it's packed with flavor). This is titled after the chef de cuisine's nickname (Chovy) so we knew this would be good if he put his name on it, and we were correct. It was a perfectly cooked little egg with a garlic aioli piped on top, sitting atop a bed of zucchini, corn, and a few other crunchy veg bits. It was a perfect bite to start the meal out. -Crostini Baguette: These were tasty little toasted baguette slices topped with a mixture of black beans, bacon, some green sprigs, and a smoky little aftertaste that worked so well with the crunchy bite of baguette. -Tartare: This was so surprisingly delicious. It arrived as a little sphere of tartare mixed with corn and a cabbage topping, with some little toast points to dip into it. It was refreshing and heavenly the way they paired the veggies with the tartare. Our group ordered three different entrees: -Flatiron: My choice, and it was decadent and deceptively filling. It was cut into four strips, which made it a lot easier to manage on the plate. Each piece I sliced off literally melted in my mouth, and the orange jus that it was drizzled in was so flavorful. The accompaniments were some veggies that were seasoned expertly, and potato pave which were little expertly fried up pieces of potato squares (I know that sounds weird, but they are in my dreams now). -Pork Tomahawk: This was my husband's choice, and he couldn't be happier. The tomahawk was glazed in a tomato flavor, and covered in small yam slices and some greenery on top, adding the meaty, greeny, and sweet flavors all together in each bite. -Chicken: My friend ordered this and it was so tender that he didn't need a knife to cut pieces off, they were just falling off the bone! It came with apple, turnips, and a salsa verde all on the plate mixed with the chicken, so another example of the flavors all working together in harmony. We tried two desserts that we shared: -Pudding Cup: This looked similar to the Italian dessert "budding" but it was a lot heavier. The layers of pudding were a rich chocolate and a heavy cream, with a large square marshmallow on top. Don't get me wrong - it tasted amazing, but you could only have a few bites due to the heaviness, so sharing it was the right decision. -"Corn": This was the "tasting menu" dessert, and it was five different variations of corn, but as a semi-sweet taste. It had a sweet corn almost "cheesecake" polenta base, with a corn ice cream swiped on top, and was accompanied by a sweet popcorn praline, hibiscus caramel dots, and little dollops of corn pudding. They took corn and made it a dessert, and I'm absolutely here for it. With the excellent service, high quality fare, and great vibes in the ambiance, I would definitely recommend Au Courant for your next special occasion, date night, or just to check out the new menus they have each week!

Dining here is always a special occasion. A Tapas event was a bit of a throwback to the former Spanish restaurant that was at their location. An all à la cart menu allowed for tasting multiple dishes, all meant to be shared. Wine selections that included Spanish vintages was an added plus. This special, running four days, was quickly sold out for every timeslot, which tells you how great the anticipation was for this event! Service as always was excellent, and the ambience was loud and fun!

What an experience! We were in town for a college visit and decided on the tasting menu. Each course was beautifully plated and delicious! The fact that the menu changes weekly and can remain so creative and delicious is really something special. Wonderful service as well and I highly recommend the cocktail warm sweater or something like that. Honestly the best drink I have ever tasted!

The food was delicious! The chovy's egg for this week reminded me of a breakfast bowl, but in a good way! The tartare melted in your mouth, and the focaccia was toasted to perfection. The tagliatelle was a combination of herby, savory, and cheesy, making the dish very comforting. For the main, we got lamb pave, which was slow braised and crusted with rosemary and paired with a white bean puree and carrots and leeks to offset the richness of the dish. The second dish was duck breast, paired with a potato mash, peaches and carrots. The light fruity flavors of the peach really balanced meal! Service was great! Our server was knowledgeable and funny, making our experience very upbeat.

I usually always prefer appetizers and dessert to mains. This place is a complete opposite. Steak was the highlight. It was very delicious. The pasta was probably the second best. Chovy's eggs are very salty and the desserts, despite their exotic names, are not great. And the seats we had were facing the hallway to the kitchen and for some Reason I can smell bathroom the whole time.

I have had Au Courant on my list every time I've gone to Omaha to visit my mom. We finally tried it on our most recent trip. It was a very unique dining experience, and we enjoyed ourselves. The restaurant is also really cute and has a nice atmosphere. Two of our party wanted to order the chefs tasting menu ($75 pp), while two of us wanted to do the a la carte menu. When we were seated, we were told that you have to do one or the other as a table. So that was disappointing. My husband ordered the oysters and the pork cheek, and he liked the oysters but didn't love the pork cheek dish. I ordered the rösti (delicious and I wish I ordered more), prosciutto & beet (not for me), and the tagliatelle (probably the best thing any of us ordered - so yummy!). I forgot to take photos of most of our food because the dishes were brought out at different times and we were too busy eating haha. But I did get a photo of the prosciutto & beet!

Absolutely delicious! My husband and I did the six course chef's tasting menu. Every dish was amazing. It was as if each taste got better and better. The ambiance was nice and our server was great. The pacing was just right and we had a wonderful date night.

Food was delicious. Service was superb. Vibrant place. We will be returning in the future.

Au Courant is a fantastic French restaurant tucked away in Benson. An assuming store front hides a beautifully decorated restaurant with a welcoming interior. The wait staff were all incredibly kind and helpful. We tried the tasting menu with the wine pairing and loved almost every dish. The first bite - a butter coated radish - was not our favorite, but besides that, all of the dishes were perfectly portioned, well balanced, and delicious. The accompanying wine pairings highlighted the dishes as well as being a lovely tasting journey around the world of wine. I think my favorite dish of the night was either the strip or the tortellini, but they were all so good. I would highly recommend visiting Au Courant, either for the tasting menu (which rotates weekly) or the Ala carte menu - you truly can't go wrong!

One of the best meals I've ever had! Our server Emily provided certainly the best dinner service I've ever had, she didn't miss a single detail. She was clearly very well trained and full of knowledge about what we would be eating from the chef's tasting menu. She could tell us where every ingredient came from. The restaurant was a little quiet when we arrived at 5:30 but bustling when we left at 7:15.

We love Au Courant for date night and always get the chefs tasting menu and usually add the oysters. On our most recent visit the menu was ceviche, tortellini, halibut, steak and cake. Plus bonus amuse bouche and macaroons to start and end the meal. Every bite was excellent as was the service.

Best meal I've had in a while! Located in downtown Benson, this charming establishment has a serious gourmet bent. The food is exquisite, in my view. Parking is in Benson. YMMV. This is a long room with a bar in the middle. You can eat at the bar. We did. They have a chef's choice menu and the usual variety. We tried our choices out and we're not disappointed. The oysters were delicious. The tartare. Delicious. My steak was perfect. My wife's chicken was great. The bartender, in constant motion, mixes as well as you'd expect, with this review. Her work was en pointe for each drink. Even made a bourbon drink my wife liked. Wife hates bourbon. Bartender win. It filled fast, so come early. We'll be back.

One of the most amazing dining experiences in Omaha. Our group of friends decided on the tasting menu. The food was absolutely incredible. Each bite was very exciting! The service was amazing, it felt like an entire experience. If you're looking for an elevated dining experience, or somewhere special to eat for fun or a special occasion, I think you just found your next spot!

We went to celebrate our anniversary and did the tasting menu with wine pairing. The food was delicious and loved that they were able to do a full vegetarian menu for me. Also loved the pairing with the wine, all choices went great with the dishes. With that being said, definitely think the wine pairing is worth it. My only complaint would be it's not a very intimate setting and there was no mention of our anniversary. I expected it to be a little bit more private or lower lighting since it is fine dining. However, the food was still good and particularly loved the person serving our wine. He was very thorough in answering our questions and overall picked great wines for us.

The service was amazing. We were presented with exquisite drinks & exceptional appetizers. The Fish n Chip and the Chovy's Egg, The risotto was amazing & the sole was also amazing. I cannot recommend this place enough, the service & the food were immaculate. Micah & Kylie & Amanda are amazing at guest experience & quality of service. If you want the best espresso martini in the game, Grace is your girl!! I cannot express that enough!! Will definitely recommend to my friends and family.

A gem! Came here to celebrate my birthday and tried out the tasting menu. All the courses were amazing, service was very friendly & personable, and the ambiance felt like a taste of Europe Hidden within the Benson strip!

Finally got the chance to try this place out and experience their tasting menu. It was really good pacing with the meal courses with the distinct focus on quality vs quantity. They have good wine selection as well as wine pairing to match your meal for an additional charge. They also have some interesting signature cocktails. Overall, a great option for a date night and enjoy some great food and outstanding service.

5 stars all day long. Food is otherworldly and the service is perfect. Not too loud and very comfortable. We can't wait to go back!

We decided to try the tasting menu at this restaurant. The inside is gorgeous. immediately upon walking in there are many plants lining the entryway. The mirrors on the back wall make the room appear large and expansive. Overall, it had an elegant, upscale feel. Our server recommended a wonderful bottle of wine to try with our food. One really great thing about this restaurant is that they are able to accommodate dietary restrictions. As my partner is vegetarian, this was a must for the tasting menu. The amuse bouche was a lamb meatball with a delicious sauce topping - it was very tasty. We absolutely loved the egg starter. The hummus had some nice spice and flavor to it and the egg was cooked absolutely perfectly. I also really enjoyed the pasta dish - the garlic sauce was nice and light and the beans with it added some nice crunch. I will say the sausage dish and the steak were slightly disappointing. The sausage felt like it could've had more flavor and the steak was tougher than I was expecting. That being said, the meal ended wonderfully with lemon mouse that tasted absolutely amazing. For the amount, quality, and price of the tasting menu, I definitely think it's worth trying for a special occasion. I love that places like this exist in Omaha and will definitely be back to try something new (as their menu switches frequently).

They've made a really great space out of a small area. I appreciate that even though the tables are super close, they are stacked so you don't feel like you're having dinner with a random person next to you. They also allowed us a table at 8:40 without a reservation which was very kind. We only came in for appetizers and they were very kind. The food was amazing. Actually got a side of bread with the tartare instead of the potatoes. The potatoes overpowered the tartare, however that was really about the only thing we didn't like. We will go back for the chef's tasting!!

Very relaxed and nice old wood table atmosphere with high end fine dining food. The tasting menu is soooooo good. At $75 a head. Every dish an explosion of flavor. Holy hell on the egg, short rib, and popper amuse bouche. Everything terrific. Staff was a lil militant but professional. They wouldn't let us pull a table over for our group even though it was totally filled. Also the table had to be only tasting or not. Got a lil testy when a friend moved over to get in on the tasting menu. But good experience!!! Food very worth it. Great atmosphere And I'd go back.

Great experience! I wish I hadn't waited so long to come here. We opted to dine at the bar for an early dinner and were met with exceptional, friendly service. I won't delve into the menu specifics since it's seasonal and subject to change. We skipped the tasting menu as we weren't particularly hungry, but the dishes we did try were delicious. They offer good, clean, farm-to-table fare, and their craft cocktails are all excellent. I would recommend making reservations if you're the type to eat later in the evening. But you can probably get away without one if you go in early, between 5 and 6. Oh, and here's a fun tip: If you really want to show your appreciation for the amazing kitchen staff, consider buying them a six-pack - it's a great way to express your gratitude for the food they prepare.

Ate here recently with my in-laws. The food was good; portions are very small, however. If you're hungry, this is not the place. Alternatively, you should order the course meal. Presentation was good. The wait staff explained how the dish was prepared. The wait staff was good and not so good. The waitress (I'm old school!) was very polite, but the people brought out the food were unenthusiastic. Not to be too harsh, though, the food quality was very good. The portion sizes are small. And the wine was served kind of late in the meal. We explained to the waitress that it was my in-laws' anniversary. They served complimentary glasses of champagne which was a nice touch!

All the stars for Au Courant! We have made this our annual date to celebrate the anniversary of when we got engaged and honestly I aspire to someday be able to come here more than once a year. We have been here three years in a row and each experience continues to shine and be absolutely unique because of how they rotate their menu. This most recent visit in November of 2023 may be my favorite though because the menu featured grouper and short ribs and both courses were out of this world amazing.

After having an outstanding meal at Au Courant over a year ago, I was back in Omaha for a high school reunion and suggested to some friends that we head there for dinner. Everyone was blown away by the quality of the food, and though I admittedly haven't eaten at nearly as many Omaha restaurants as a local foodie would, this restaurant continues to be at the top of my list. Every bite I've ever eaten at Au Courant has been truly delicious, and their pastas are exquisite. Au Courant would stand out in any city in America. You could put it in New York, LA or Chicago, and it would still shine. If you have foodie friends visiting from out of town -- people who are accustomed to eating food at a very high level -- this is the restaurant to take them to in my opinion. It's also a very cozy space with a great ambience -- a combination of modern touches and old exposed brick. I cannot recommend Au Courant more enthusiastically!

Excellent food, I love the small portions, ambiance is cool, with varying levels of service. We have had some great and once much less than great. Overall good place with great food.

This is my favorite restaurant in town. Save for a fancy or celebration dinner. The tasting menu is the way to go. Good cocktails and mocktails. Portions are not huge, so if you are looking for a very hearty dinner this probably isn't the place for you. Great ambiance and intimate in a smaller venue.

Au Courant is a lovely 5-star quality dining experience. Located in the quaint area of benson, Au Courant was an incredible restaurant that served fantastic food. My significant other and I went here on a date night and we both had the tasting menu ($75 for about 6 dishes). The service was marvelous and they explained each dish very well. I am a vegetarian and they catered all the dishes to my dietary preferences. The unique thing about Au Courant is that all their ingredients and items are locally sourced so everything was fresh. They also change their menu every week so you're always in for a treat. They have an incredible selection of wine and their own cocktail menu as well. I can't wait to be back!

The food is a crap shoot sometimes its good sometimes it feels as if they are trying to hard and pulling recipes out of nowhere and the whole thing is just over done, with too much going on etc. Last night had a very bad experience cant say we enjoyed any of the items we ordered of the menu none of it would i recommend. On top of that the place crams clientele in like sardines and the ambiance is rubbing shoulder to shoulder with who is sitting next to you overhearing every loud conversation in the room and being unable to hear your date sitting directly in front of you. I think the good reviews are based on the novelty and trendiness of this place because it really isnt all that great at all.

The food was excellently prepared. The staff and service was excellent. It has a but of a hipster finding vibe. We had octopus there and it was excellently prepared. It was tender and not rubbery at all. Would definitely come here again.

Truly one of the best meals I've ever had. Our waiter, Micah, was knowledgeable and extremely helpful with suggestions. The food was spectacular! We had a group of nine, and everyone loved the appetizers, wine selection, and meals. We ate from the à la carte menu, enjoyed appetizers beforehand, and savored choices from the dessert menu. It exceeded all expectations and was even better than some Michelin-starred restaurants I've been to. Highly recommend!

Wrapped up my Birthday weekend with an incredible chef's tasting menu at one of the best restaurants in town in my opinion! This place always takes you on the most wonderful culinary journey. The chef is so intelligent, thoughtful, and creative. Each bite is so interesting and incredibly delicious. Couple that with an amazing staff and beautiful restaurant ambience and it is a wonderful dining experience! We absolutely ADORE this restaurant!

I've been wanting to try Au Courant for quite some time, and seeing as I waited just a hair too long to make my Valentine's reservations, I was happy to see Courant still had some late-night tables open. To start things off, the location was perfect. A Valentine's feast, with an adult entertainment store right across the street? How much better can it get The atmosphere inside the building is fantastic. It plays on the exposed brick/mortar feel you get all over Benson and is just beautiful aesthetically. I love the giant wax towers throughout the restaurant from hundreds of melted candles all slowly dying. Sadly, my girlfriend won't allow me to do the same around the house We did arrive a bit early for our reservation, and were informed that things were running a little behind. No worries, we hit the bar and ordered some drinks. Our drinks at the bar were actually comped, and we were given several glasses of sparkling wine without us breathing a word of complaint. Customer service top notch guys, keep it up. Even without the free drinks we would have no qualms, it's Valentine's, you're slammed, perfectly understandable. Once we were seated, the courses started rolling out. The majority of the dishes and drinks were explain to us, but again, busy night, no worries. I could only assume on a normal business night you get that much better of service and explanations with your food. Now, to the food itself! I've posted the menu for those curious on what it was we ate. I will say the star of the show in my opinion was the pork sugo gnocchi. The gnocchi was flawless, and the pork sugo was richz flavorful, and absolutely delightful. The dessert "dippin dots" were fun and delicious, and I wish I could have left with a stack of the little nougat bites that came out with the bill. Did I mention the Chovys Egg? Good lord, can I get three or four next time? One of the top spots in Omaha, without a doubt. Thanks for a great dinner!

If I could have a Chovy's egg every day for the rest of my life I would feel like I won the lottery. We were a party of four and we all did the tasting menu. It was a wonderful experience from the creative crafted cocktails, the culinary excellence and the stellar service. I hyped myself up for this experience, and it exceeded all expectations. If I could go back weekly, I would. Our group settled on making sure we try to go back as many times as possible. Trying one of each seasonal menu is a new goal. If you are doing the tasting menu, I'd recommend having that be your event for the night. Each course gives you something new and exciting. We each had our individual favorites, but everything was incredible. There was texture and a symphony of flavor. Well worth the price, as it's clear that the craftsmanship and thought that goes into this is ingenious.

We have been to Au Courant many times. We love the food, the chefs tasting menu, the wine pairings, the servers and the ambiance. I think it is affordable for what you get and what you would pay for the same experience and quality in any other city. It can be a little loud when it's busy so it is not a great choice for hard of hearing or if you're looking for a quiet evening. Consistently amazing and it is one of our two go-to spots for birthday, anniversary and double dates.

Good meal! Good drinks! Great service! Thanks to Alyssa (our server) the vegetarian leaning person (me) in our group was able to eat well. We did not do the tasting menu but ordered off the ala carte menu. Get the beets my friends you will not regret it. It's a great little spot in Benson. And for an added perk we were there for Benson's First Friday festivities. We really like how much Benson has grown over our time living in Omaha.

Ok let's get the important things out of the way. Their bathrooms are clean- they use a quality toilet paper and local soap. Now onward to the restaurant and food. It feels like a cozy, hipster place but devoid of pretentious that can come from high end restaurants. Au Courant has been HIGH on my list but for us, it's hard to justify shelling out a small fortune without occasion. Last night we had a reason. As everyone before us had recommended (and likely all the reviews here), do the tasting menu. Unless you're super picky or have dietary restrictions do the tasting menu. Come to think of it, even if you have have those things- do the tasting menu as I've been told they can accommodate. It's hard to specifically comment on the food because it's weekly rotating so I'll comment more on the service and ambiance. You have one designated server, however, everyone works as a team so the person taking your drink order might not be the same bringing it over. We probably have 4-5 different staff members drop off food and each person equally as knowledgeable about the plate they're serving. Many of the items used local ingredients and they could state exactly where specific items came from. I'm most impressed by the beautiful presentation and combining things I would normally not consider go together, but somehow are perfectly married on a dish here. The timing of the dishes coming out was impeccable with just a few minute between servings. Au Courant has ruined me because now I'm constantly wishing I could win the lottery so I could eat here every week...errr every day. Thanks for a phenomenal dining experience, looking forward to the next!

Au Courant is a well-respected upscale restaurant here in Omaha located on the Benson strip. When you step in you'll be welcome with ambient lighting, plants lining the walls giving a fresh feeling to the atmosphere and an eclectic take on "upscale." I had the chef's menu and for my first time doing so, I enjoyed the experience but realized I'm not quite cut out for the boujee life. DRINK : Everyone had their fair share of drinks and after studying and experiencing their reactions, this is the place to BE for a nice drink. They fancy them up in every way, but they also have super fresh ingredients in every drink you'll receive. If you're just going here for drinks, you won't be disappointed. FOOD : Something I love about Au Courant is their willingness to change their dishes to meet your dietary needs - I LOVED that. We started with an appetizing & beautiful charcuterie board layered with fine cheeses, pickled beets and onions scattered throughout, Jams and more. The cheese was top-notch, you could tell it was great quality and it wasn't just some low-grade wholesale cheese. Everything they pair together was brilliant, the flavors always met to make a "melt in your mouth" moment. I didn't have the cheese because I am lactose free, but from the sheer amount of comments it got, I didn't have to try it to know it was incredible. The first plate brought out was one Oyster, and like I said before, having the chef menu or paying more than $14 a plate isn't typically my forte so I'm new to this. It wasn't my favorite, but I'm also a texture person. It felt like I ate a salty squirrel heart, but this was less on their ability and more on the preferences I have. The second plate was "chovy's egg" with pickled radish, green garbanzo sauce, and sesame. This. Was. FIRE. The egg and pickled radish combination tripled with the garbanzo sauce was drool worthy and a powerhouse tri-fecta. I would eat this over and over again. The third plate was rainbow carrots with honeycomb, goat cheese, and Fresno. I had mine with jam because I am no dairy, no gluten, and I actually loved it. I would've never thought to pair it like this, and admire the creativity of the chef. My only qualm was that the carrots were barely cooked so they still had a raw bite to them, but I had a feeling that was intentional & I'm just used to everything cooked through. The fourth plate was a farfalle with asparagus, radicchio, and toasted cream, but for my dietary restrictions I was brought out a risotto. To be honest this wasn't my favorite plate, I am not a huge risotto person and the asparagus was lightly cooked so it still had a bite to it. I just didn't love the mix and gave my stomach a small upset. The fifth plate (dear God.. ANOTHER?! Should've worn sweats) was monkfish! I have never had nor heard of monkfish before, but I'd love to have it again. The fish was fresh and soaked up the surrounding juice nicely. It had a burst of flavor and left me feeling light and ready for more. Great dish! The sixth plate changed my life. Okay maybe not. But .. almost. This was short rib with beet, cabbage, and oxtail. This was the best piece of meat I have EVER had and I geeked out a little. The most immaculate thing I have ever eaten to say the least. It had a sauce on top that gave it a Smokey barbecue flavor with a hint of sweetness, and on the side was a dollop of a beet purée sauce to add even more of a barbecue feel to the plate. I can't tell you enough how incredible this was, and if this alone is on the menu... GET IT! The seventh plate was the dessert finale. Everyone else got the tiramisu and from the review my husband gave, it was good but not life changing. Probably closer to any other tiramisu you'd have. I got a mango sorbet with jam and pistachio crumble and LOVED it. It felt so refreshing to my stomach after how much food I had and the sweetness of the jam, saltiness of the pistachio, and the cool of the sorbet was the perfect way to end my experience! SERVICE : I was the photographer at the event and like most who are in the service industry, it's easy to feel like "the help." However, the entire staff of employees were super kind. I was so encouraged by their hard work and dedication to making this an experience for people and for treating them and serving them the best they can. I felt really taken care of, especially with how they went the extra mile to make every plate unique to my dietary needs. This is definitely not a cheap place to stop in at, but if you're wanting an experience, a meaningful date night, or you just have the money to spend - Au Courant is beautiful, trustworthy, and outdo themselves in every arena. They will take good care of you, and you won't regret your time and money spent here.

Au Courant never fails to hit the mark. They serve delicious, seasonal dishes that have a wonderful depth of flavor and you'll never go wrong with anything on the menu. The staff is always very knowledgeable and attentive throughout the dining experience.

This is a don't-look-at-the-menu-just-make-a-reservation-and-let-them-blow-your-socks-off kind of place. I've never had an even average meal here and I start to wonder if I make them up to be so good in my head that they couldn't possibly deliver, but they do it again. Always get the tasting menu, always get the wine pairings, always be blown away

Solid tasting menu. The restaurant is quite noisy but the tables are small which helped with being able to have a conversation during our meal. The music wasn't loud, but the walls are stone so conversations echo and make it very loud. The sommelier was great. His enthusiasm for the wine and details about what we were having really enhanced the experience. Of the items that we sampled in the tasting menu most were very good and one was excellent. The egg with their take on elote was very good. I also really liked the bass. The crunchy skin was outstanding. The absolute star of the show however was the beets compressed cantaloupe and root vegetables. It will be a dish that I look back on for some time to come. It was brilliant. The flavor combinations, each bite was a delicious discovery of something new. It was both of our favorite dish of the night. The only disappointment in the lineup was the steak. It looked good but the texture was chewy and oddly dry for how rare it looked. Other than the steak everything else was very good. I would highly recommend a visit and would love to take some friends there If it were in our city.

We did the tasting menu with a large group of us, and it was so cool! I had never done a tasting menu so it was a really awesome new experience. The staff did a great job explaining the dishes and the wines. They were very attentive and overall it was a great experience.

My partner and I went for dinner and tried their Chef's Tasting Menu 10/10 recommend. The service was very friendly and the 6 plates were just right to leave you satisfied without being too full. I'll definitely be coming back. The seating was fun and you can easily chat up with people next to you or do your own thing.
