The Seattle Restaurant Week Menus We Actually Think Are Worth It

"The Deal: $50 Three-Course Dinner (Daily) For SRW week, this light-filled Phinney Ridge place that screams “two million dollar starter home” includes predictable plates like gem lettuce salads and pork chops. But given the general lack of nicer restaurants in Phinney Ridge, it’s worth a shot for date night. The cavatelli with spring onion and walnut sounds like a good meal for April." - kayla sager riley, aimee rizzo

Where To Have Your Birthday Dinner In Seattle

"If your phone is filled with happy birthday texts that will never be answered because the pressure is too much—you'll like Autumn. Perfect for keeping things low-key, this pasta spot in Phinney Ridge is special enough to celebrate being another year older without having to get too dressed up or run into everyone you know. And even though the staff is super friendly, there will be no giant birthday crowns or overzealous servers singing as you internally scream. " - aimee rizzo, kayla sager riley

Autumn - Review - Phinney Ridge - Seattle - The Infatuation

"If the smell of garlicky sauteed mirepoix doesn’t get you amped about a meal at At Autumn, the pasta and small plates definitely will. This Phinney Ridge spot has an open kitchen, just a handful of tables, and a warm atmosphere perfect for a quiet neighborhood date night or impromptu group hang. For starters, the prosciutto-filled croquetas are bouncy fried oblongs of good stuff served alongside pecorino fonduta foam for dipping, and demand space on your table. But if you take anything away from this, it’s that the gnochetti is non-negotiable. It’s cooked to the perfect chew, bathed in a caper-y pork and beef ragu, and topped with a big grating of smoked ricotta salata. Enjoy it all with any cocktail that involves an egg white." - Kayla Sager-Riley

Brian Clevenger’s Autumn Restaurant Opens in Phinney Ridge - Eater Seattle

"Pasta pro Brian Clevenger — of restaurants Haymaker, Vendemmia, and Raccolto — has opened Autumn, his sixth restaurant in Seattle, at 6727 Greenwood Avenue N. The new place has a similar vibe to Clevenger’s other locales, with an emphasis on handmade pasta dishes, as well as entrees that highlight three main seasonal ingredients, such as duck breast with sunchoke, apples and bee’s wax, and ahi crudo with turmeric, capers, and rhubarb. Chef Nick Chiaro, who was a sous chef at esteemed Canlis and spent time at award-winning restaurants in San Francisco and New York, will run the kitchen. With restaurant capacity restrictions recently lifted across Washington, the airy Autumn — with space inside for 39 guests, plus a patio opening July 9 — will lean on a more traditional dine-in experience, including both a la carte and eventually a tasting menu, the latter of which will launch August 1. Despite the restaurant’s name, cocktails to start are on the summery side, including a concoction called Strawberry Spiced, with strawberry-chili infused Aperol, vermouth, and prosecco, and Loose in Palouse, with tequila and pink grapefruit. The beer and wine list includes a substantial amount of Pacific Northwest purveyors, as well as global selections. Clevenger’s addition to his General Harvest Restaurants’ portfolio is the furthest north he’s gone thus far, and represents a steady expansion for the group during what’s been an enormously challenging year for many restaurants. The chef also appears to be taking a hands-on approach across the General Harvest properties, since he designed the bright interior of the new place himself. Autumn is now open daily from 5-10 p.m., with a happy hour menu from 5-6 p.m. and delivery through Doordash and Uber Eats." - Gabe Guarente

When places charge you for bread service that only comes with 4 slices of bread that are cold or room temp at best you get a little sad, BUT, Autumn does not disappoint you. They give you a PROPER BREAD app by giving you 4 types of real actual delicious bread, WARMED UP. Omg, THANK YOU, Autumn! Wagyu Carpaccio was tender and had great aioli flavoring; recommend House made pasta can be found here :) Cavatelli pasta with a cream sauce with lemon and walnuts was the perfect representation of summer pasta; light and refreshing, tasted like daylight. Their classic Bucatini staple with the tomato sauce was ok. The noodles were good, super al dente (could afford 30+ seconds longer cooking next time), the sauce was the right ratio. As a 1 star spice girl, I would call this level 2 haha. But worth trying since it's their menu staple. The Wagyu Burger was alright. We ordered medium there wasn't any pink, it was mostly well done or med well. Still tasty though. We wished the sauce or toppings had a little more acid to cut the savory of the burger and cheese and sweetness of the onion jam. House made Tiramisu is refreshingly light like a cloud. Moussey :) The flavors are very balanced between the coffee and cream. My partner eats tiramisu more than me and said easily in the top 3 he's had. We plan to come back and try the Autumn menu since I love fall flavors and fresh pasta.

Google
Great service and atmosphere. Squid ink spaghetti had an extremely fishy taste - more so than other squid ink-based food I've had. Otherwise, food and cocktail was fine, but with the price tag and the mandatory service charge I would expect more nuance in the flavour and appearance.

Google
The food was absolutely amazing. Top 10 places I’ve eaten in Seattle for dinner (easy). Eight of us had the chefs tasting and a few other things a la carte and the cavatelli, steak, salad and carpaccio blew us away. The oysters were fine, but that’s as expected. Like others said the service was slightly slow, but nothing unbearable. Our appetizers came out in hoards and super fast. The middle of the meal slowed down, and then dessert came right on time. Overall would come back here again. The price and hype were totally worth it.

Firstly, we love the sister restaurant in Wallingford. We typically dine there but decided to switch it up and give this spot another try. The food was pretty and consistent, but we were really disappointed with the speed of service (and general lack of service). I understand if service is slow because the restaurant is busy, or they're short staffed, but neither was the case. Our reservation was at 5:30pm and there was perhaps only 2 other tables dining at that time. The food took FOREVER. Normally this would be fine, but we were dining with a toddler and asked them to bring out whatever was ready. Even the bread service took more than 30 minutes. There's nothing more stressful than a hangry toddler, when your stomach is also growling. I don't think our last dish arrived at our table until 7pm. We politely asked the server throughout the night of they could expedite the food a bit, but it didn't seem to make a difference. The cherry on top was the auto gratuity of 22% on the $330 bill, which explained the service speed since they were getting a generous tip regardless. We were really disappointed, despite the food being decent. Whoever was cooking that night was VERY heavy handed on the salt...we were drinking water the entire evening when we got home. The overall experience was lacking enough to make me not want to return.

O M G! We wanted to try a new place for our anniversary and Autumn was on our list from past research. When we arrived, we learned that due to Seattle Restaurant Week, they had a different fixed price menu than we expected. Well, all I can say is God came down and kissed us tonight, because it was fantastic! We started off with a steak tartare from the bar menu, and it was lovely. The meat was tender, seasoned well, and had a rich flavor that was augmented by the accompanying mustard seed. The first course was Confit Beets, Polenta Fries, and Grilled Tombo. The beets were earthy and complex with a hint citrus and light mascarpone, and the polenta fries are a must have! For the main course, we both had the American Wagyu filet, which was cooked to perfection (rare) with potatoes, leeks, and a delicate demi-glace. Finally, the apple strudel came with a savory salted whipped cream, which was truly surprising, and the carrot cheesecake was rich and spicy sitting on an elegant salted caramel sauce. On top of all this, we were served some of the best craft cocktails we have ever had, by Matthew! Vesper, Negroni, French Gimlet, excellent! Highly recommend!

Google
I visited this place last week with my partner. Cocktails were good but pricy. The food was good but everything was salty. Even my salad felt salty because of its cheese. Overall though, we had a good dinner experience until I saw the bill, which showed a 22% service charge added pre-tax! There was a note that said 16% of it goes to the employees in the front and back of the house (ehem! That sounds like a forced tip, with no incentive for good service) and 6% goes to healthcare and other benefits. I am sorry but I think I am not aligned with the pricing model of this business. It’s not like the food or drinks are on a low end price point here to justify this enforcement. I will non be going back to this place.

Google
We celebrated here for a 30th and the service was *so* good!!! Even with a surprise extra seat at the table, the manager and our server were so accommodating and kind. They helped make the night special when we preplanned to have a specialty cocktail made, and the food was incredible (get the polenta fries) for our mixed bag table of vegetarians, gluten-free people, and regular meat eaters. Happy to splurge on a night out here and would love to come back. Thank you for making it so fun and memorable! ❤️

Google
Went here for restaurant week and loved the 3 course meal they had. The polenta fries were one of the best things on the menu. The halibut cut like butter. Wine and cocktails were spot on. The service from the chefs and bartender was 11/10. Definitely bringing a date back here outside of restaurant week. Big props to the bar for a great dinner!

Yelp
Came here for date night and the food and ambiance were both top notch! The polenta fries were sooo good! Pasta was solid and so was the pork! Everything had great flavor and was cooked to perfection! Service was friendly and the ambiance was intimate. We appreciated the open kitchen concept so we could see the kitchen.

Yelp
What a fantastic restaurant. The food is dynamite (don't miss all the pasta), the service is friendly, but again, the food is dynamite. It has been four days since I was there and I'm still salivating over that pasta.

Yelp
Went back to Autumn tonight. So glad the manager reached out to ask about my last experience. Tonight was completely amazing and much more like I remembered from past experiences at Autumn. We had the gem salad, crudo, a pasta dish, burger, steak, and cheesecake. Everything was delicious and worth coming back for. Our server was wonderful as well!

Yelp
Oh my. This little beauty is why Autumn won the "Best Bite" at this year's Bite of Phinney. Not only are the Polenta Fries delicious but they also may be addictive! One point off for ambience. The restaurant is rather stark without a comfortable seat (esp., those counter stools) in the house. Not a place to linger - but that may be the point.
google avatar

Vince H.

Yelp
A great open kitchen with a nicely lit patio, and spectacular server. Our server knew everything about the menu and where ingredients were sourced from while speaking with passion. The Polenta fries had a great texture and a nice bite to them. The strozzapretti noodles were some of the best noodles I've ever had. Amazing texture and certainly fresh pasta. The red calibrini chili in the sauce definitely had a kick. The only thing holding this back from being a 5/5 was the pork sausage in the sauce was very dry.

Yelp
Autumn was one of my favorite dinners of the year. At first, I was a little hesitant as a number of reviews complained about the noise (I was bringing my dad), but it was actually quiet. Anyway, on their website, Autumn states that they "focus on a simple approach to pasta, seafood & vegetables" and that's a good description, and I would add to that quality, flavor and presentation. Started off with tomatoes and burrata, which were very flavorful and used good EVOO and the polenta fries, which really made us say "wow"! The fries were crispy, tasty and with a touch of spice and honey, just incredible. I seriously considered ordering round 2. We tried a number of pasta dishes including the agnoloti and pecchari. The agnoloti was handmade, handcut and very plump - a very satisfying dish. The pecchari with manila clams had really good depth with the bouillabaise worked into the sauce. The table shared a NY strip which was grilled perfectly and the accompanying vegetables were also cooked to perfection. Beverage selections focused on wines and cocktails and we really enjoyed Touche Pussycat - rye, meletti, lemon, egg white, bitters and Le Beurre-Bon brown butter bourbon, angostura di amaro, black walnut bitters. Service was pleasant and solid, and overall, I loved the small restaurant feel of Autumn. The only complaint I have is about parking, as this part of Phinney Ridge is getting very popular. But other than that, Autumn is a keeper on my list!
google avatar

Brandon U.

Yelp
TL;DR: Cozy Italian restaurant in Phinney Ridge. Rotating seasonal menu allows you to try variations of their handmade pasta with amazing texture and sauces with complex flavor. We love to go to Autumn. They have a couple sister restaurants in the area, but we far prefer Autumn for its tastier food, top notch service staff, and cozier vibe. We have gotten their salads which are nice and light but also fresh, the pastas have amazingly chewy texture and are accomplished by flavorful yet not too salty sauces, and the calamari (though not always on the menu) was super light and crispy! Definitely recommend coming here if you're in Seattle and are looking for some good pasta.

Yelp
Plates ceramics are hand made or looks. Set on a block as window's as comfy as a long bar of a friend's place ! The neat settings rustic living. Pick of tasting menu on all pastas styles, for main meat or seafood entrees onto season specifically.Sides dishes & desserts of either current recipes. Made by hand pasta uniformly as done fettuccine or methods! Delicious menu of flavors!
google avatar

Lily P.

Yelp
We tried 4 of their pastas and almost all were too salty! The best one was the pesto one, that is the only one where we didnt feel like it was overly salty. The beef tartare didn't stand out either and i would also pass on the polenta fries
google avatar

Alekkz D.

Yelp
I have been here 3 times now! The first being last year for my husband's birthday celebration! I still would have to say the pasta I had the first time (unfortunately cannot remember what it was called) but it was mind blowing that I came again the next week with a friend! Came back with that same friend a few days ago and had the agnolotti! Definitely still good delicious! We walked in on a Monday evening at 5pm, got seated right away. Service has always been prompt, nice, and professional. I would say maybe a tad bit (too prompt?) I guess it's not a bad thing to check in so many times with us while enjoying our meal but a tad less attention would have been nice. The decor is very aesthetic, definitely my cup of tea. Parking isn't too bad either if you look around the corners of the restaurant. See you again (:

Yelp
We we're excited to try the chef tasting menu. Honestly the food was fine nothing really stood out for the $400 bill we paid. The dessert was dry and over cooked and didn't pair at all with the limenchelo they served with it. We won't return. Too many great places to try for that kind of a price tag.
google avatar

Jared N.

Yelp
Got the chef's tasting menu, and two different cocktails. The server was great and knowledgeable (able to answer technical questions about a specific dish), and the chef made it a point to come and check in on us personally. Each course was attractive and bold, and the drinks were consistently both sharp and interesting. Flavors were balanced and complimentary, without being predictable. I won't spoil anything, but if you are into food and can afford a little extravagance, this is worth the leap of faith. The chef is a master of his craft
google avatar

Roz A.

Yelp
I was so excited to try Autumn and they didn't disappoint! The service was lovely: kind, attentive, and helpful. Our server made suggestions and recommendations which was helpful for this kind of menu. The ambience was charming and fun but a touch upscale. The interior is fairly intimate so I love that you can see the chefs cooking! My date and I were dining in the day after Valentine's Day, but clearly celebrating the occasion. When I couldn't decide on a cocktail, the server asked for my favorite flavor profile and returned with a beautifully crafted cocktail with tiny hearts in the egg white! So cute. Truly made my night. Our pasta was good but the polenta fries were TO DIE FOR. Crispy on the outside and drizzled with a delicious honey. Our server told us they're considering taking them off the menu....so I suggest ordering a plate while you still can!

Yelp
Autumn, a season and a Phinney Ridge restaurant adds exceptional food and drinks to the neighborhood. The chef, who I believe worked under Ethan Stowell, brings their own twist to fine-dining Italian along with the "famed" year-round tasting menu. If you're a local to Phinney Ridge, Ballard, or Greenwood, this the perfect place to grab delicious Italian food. The dishes and drinks we had were all very good. The service and ambience were great too. The only thing reservation we had was the rabbit pasta dish was on the salty-side; maybe because eating bite after bite the pecorino cheese seemed to permeate the pasta with a strong salty taste. But we still loved the dish.

George K.

Yelp
Ordered the pesto pasta overpowering with pesto that's all i could taste. A very expensive and noisy restaurant and pasta shouldn't be that expensive. One of the worst meals I've ever had. Like I said all I can taste in my pasta was pesto and nothing else, had no ot flavor. They also add a 22% tip pretax Will not be going there again. I don't mind paying for good quality food but this is not the place.
google avatar

Cheyenne P.

Yelp
I recommend to check out the menu prior to going. Smaller menu but the pasta, polenta fries & fish were very good. Drinks were good as well, definitely recommend the espresso martini. Unfortunately the steak was not the best & cold, which is disappointing considering it was the more expensive item. 3 of us got it and all 3 were let down. Also the desserts are so small, practically individual sizes.
google avatar

Yasmine H.

Yelp
Came here with a group of 3 friends on a Monday night. We were the only ones there the whole meal so it felt kind of quiet and weird, but I liked the open kitchen where you could watch the cooks. Atmosphere aside, the food was phenomenol. We started with sharing the Hamachi Crudo and the Beef Tartare. The Hamachi Crudo had lots of flavor and I loved the basil involved. I got the Gnochetti which was also a good dish. The Beef Tartare was by far my favorite dish here and one of the best I've had - HIGHLY recommend!
google avatar

Natasha B.

Yelp
Service is great and the drinks are so good. Had the burrata, oysters, and polenta fries. Love the small venue and ambiance. The manager was very knowledgeable and talkative. Took off a star because our drinks were delayed and we were supposed to get it comped but they forgot to. Also, cappuccino was forgotten. The tiramisu was delicious.
google avatar

Marcela V.

Yelp
How have I not left a review yet? I am here pretty much once a month at least! The food is great because it rotates so there are always new options. Of course if you are a creature of habit there are some great staples, for instance, I LOVE the polenta fries and the ahi crudo. They have some fantastic cocktails including the prizefighter and the Touché Pussycat! They also have an amazing pasta Tuesday deal that is ~$50 for a salad, pasta, dessert, and glass of wine. Unbeatable! Highly recommend and the staff is phenomenal! From Clay to Tommy to Angela & Tyler at the bar!
google avatar

Rikki G.

Yelp
Really nice spot to dine for a romantic date night or small group. The restaurant is open kitchen and has a simple outside dining patio. The food all around the table was really good. The Tagliatelle had crusted pistachio crumbles that made the dish top notch. The albacore was paired with so much flavorful veggies and stew. The rest of the table had meaty and hearty rigatoni. The spot is kinda pricy ($9 'bread service' that only comes once) and the wait staff was more reserved. I'd return but not rush back. Overall, a really nice addition to the neighborhood.
google avatar

Jesse G.

Yelp
Industrial clean space with well laid out seating. We came for the Tuesday night dinner special, which is a great deal in that you get a salad, a pasta dish, a dessert and a glass of wine for $41. The thing about it is that it's not just any salad, pasta dish, dessert and glass of wine, though. It's flavorful, creative and a true treat to eat. I will admit I cheated and paid an extra $5 for a Dungeness crab dish which was literally coated in crab. So delicious and enough for lunch the next day, too. Another highlight was the bread, which was lemony and cheesy and crisp. Service was friendly and attentive. Sometimes on "deal" nights or things like restaurant week you can tell that the events exhaust the staff - not so here.
google avatar

Charlotte G.

Yelp
I came here on a Tuesday night with a friend. We had about a 15 minute wait for a table but we added our name to the list and our table was ready in that time frame. It turned out to be Pasta and wine Tuesday, so we got a deal on two different pasta dishes, along with two glasses of wine, a salad appetizer, and a dessert! It was an excellent deal and way to share different pasta. We had the risotto and the pesto pasta. Both were good the pesto was my favorite overall. The dessert bread was also so good with just the right amount of sweetness. Definitely would come here again for another pasta and wine Tuesday!
google avatar

Ava K.

Yelp
Came here to celebrate a friend's graduation and we loved our experience. They sat us in the back room and we enjoyed having a private space for our evening. We got a couple appetizers including polenta fries and bread service that were super yummy! Each of us got a different cocktail and the seasonal ones were extra special. We all ate different pasta dishes and could tell there was a lot of thought given to the composition of each dish. The only downside (-1 star) was the private room floor was littered with trash from the previous diners and I personally hated how the shag rug held onto the food from the past. If you're sitting in the main dining room, you should be completely fine!
google avatar

Yelp
Our fourth time at Autumn but the first time in the day time. That too on nice sunny Seattle day. You realize how spacious and open the layout is , especially given the open kitchen. Love the vibe. Service: David was great. Courteous, attentive and fun to talk to. Food: Did not match our expectations as in the past We had: 1) ARANCHINI - fantastic dish. Perfect crunch on the outside that gives away to a gooey delicious core inside. 6/5 2) LITTLE GEM Salad: green goddess, pecorino, pickled rhubarb. Really nice 4/5 3) CRESTE DE GALLO - The rabbit pasta. It was delicious but so salty. Had to send it back and they replaced it. 5/5 4) TAGLIATELLE - This sunflower seed pasta is heavy. The light drizzle of breadcrumbs adds the required contrast in the texture that keeps the tongue intrigued. But it was missing a punch. Maybe we should have asked for chilli flakes. 4/5 5) CHOCOLATE MOUSSE - it was ok. Didn't wow at all. And this is what I missed most. Whenever we've dined here, desserts have always wowed us. 3/5 Will we return - Most likely, but not too soon

Yelp
Fine food, fine service. Pasta Night is cheaper than ordinarily exorbitant prices. Won't go back bc of shifty added fee that gets plopped on the bill without warning and doesn't go to servers. What a minor-league, ripoff thing to do. Add the "fee" to the food prices, you jerks. Feeling blindsided.

Yelp
Delicious food. Exceptional service. It was clear that the person who took care of us cared greatly about our experience.

Yelp
This is a lovely new restaurant in the Greenwood/Phinney Ridge neighborhood. We were eager to come here for their special prefixe tasting menu - I literally didn't eat all day in preparation for this meal! Parking near the restaurant was a challenge but luckily it wasn't a rainy night when we were there. I loved the simple decor inside this clean space. It has an open concept and you can see where the food is being prepared from the dining room. I liked that there was nothing stuffy or pretentious about this restaurant. We added the kushi oysters and the special wheat bread to the prefixe meal and they were a perfect addition. The pakoras were pretty average as was the pavlova dessert, but everything else was very good and unique. My favorite dishes were the housmade pappardelle and seafood ravioli. I also really enjoyed the white salmon from the rivers in Alaska. The full menu and wine was more food than we needed and we ended up bringing leftovers home. Service was great and I'm excited Autumn is here! I look forward to returning for their regular menu to try out a few other items.

Vicky W.

Yelp
Uninspiring and disappointing. I'm genuinely surprised at all the positive reviews. The photos do seem to tell a different story - looks like another new American adventure that should hit the right beats like carpaccio, crudo, wagyu, etc. But the food itself was incredibly bland and below average in taste that did not justify the price. Especially for Seattle, you can get this type of food elsewhere for infinitely better quality and taste. For example, the tagliatelle was exceptionally salty that drowned out any hint of pine or pesto that the menu claimed. The spaghetti was more edible but again, nothing to write home about. You can get a much better meal for the same price, same items at San Fermo. The carpaccio was also cut way too thick. I'm genuinely surprised that this place is getting these positive reviews when there is so much competition in Seattle. Maybe I came on an off day, but this was nothing to write home about, and for the price? Would have been three stars if not for the price for enjoyment disparity.

Yelp
For my partner's birthday, we did the Four Course Tasting Menu. Overall, I'd say Autumn is a solid 3.5 star, but upgrading to 4 for the Tasting Menu's value at $75/pp. The meal started with a generous first course of of 4 separate dishes--the two salad dishes were excellent, the ratatouille-esque dish was good, and my least favorite was the potato & prosciutto, which was just fine. The second course was pasta with garlic bread, where things took a dive for me as the pasta was extremely salty. My partner enjoyed it and it was fine for him, but it was very overwhelming for my palate. The culprit of the saltiness was the smoked ricotta, which was unfortunately mixed into the pasta. I truly can't remember any other flavor profile in the pasta besides salt, salt, and salt--it was WAY too much. Thankfully, by the time we had some garlic bread, I had isolated the saltiness to the ricotta and took the pile off to spare myself. With the ricotta removed, the garlic bread was absolutely delicious and probably among the best I've had. The third course was scallops--yummy but nothing too memorable in terms of flavor, although cooked to perfection. Fourth course was a very refreshingly light panna cotta, which was a much-needed reprieve from the saltiness of the pasta course. The service was on point, and the open-kitchen ambiance was nice and cozy. I'm intrigued enough to return on their Pasta + Wine Tuesdays as it's an amazing deal, but I will do everything in my power to ensure that anything I order is free of the overly salty smoked ricotta.

Yelp
Came here for my anniversary and absolutely loved it. The ahi tuna crudo and cavatelli were amazing! The service was also a highlight as they were very attentive and friendly even when we had a late reservation. The ambiance was also very nice and tables not too close together made it feel more private!

Yelp
Came here yesterday for my birthday dinner and since Autumn is participating in Restaurant Week we ordered off of this menu for $50 per person. We started with the 3 appetizers: an arugula pear salad, crostini, and Brussels sprouts. For our mains we had the squash risotto and we substituted the albacore for the halibut for $15. Everything we had was absolutely amazing. I practically licked every plate clean. The restaurant has an open kitchen where you're able to see the chefs prepare your food. Excellent food, service, and ambiance. Looking forward to coming back and trying items off their regular menu next time!

Yelp
Went for the chef's tasting menu with high hopes having had a very nice meal several years ago. A tasting menu is usually carefully paced but three dishes came out almost immediately for the table before drinks had even been served--and when drinks did come out, sloshed onto the crowded table unceremoniously. Then a long interval with no food at all left us hungry and frustrated--food itself was well-prepared if unexceptional and the cocktails were excellent, but when we saw a bill of almost $600 for 4 people--if you are going to charge Canlis prices, then please take a page out of Canlis' book of hospitality. Acknowledging the lack of staff instead of hoping we wouldn't notice would have gone a long way. With an automatic service charge of 22% (which was then taxed), for such a large bill, I was sorely disappointed with our meal. First world problems, I know, but a good restaurant should understand that good service or lack thereof will totally unbalance the equation. We won't be going back.

Yelp
Autumn is the newest dining spot from Chef Brian Clevenger's General Harvest Group. This includes favorites like Vendemmia, East Anchor, Haymaker Eastlake, Haymaker West Seattle, Raccolto, and G.H. Pasta Company. These are favorites I indulge in especially during the SRW campaigns because they excel notably in all things seafood and pasta. I'm thrilled that Autumn is located in Seattle's Phinney Ridge neighborhood, diagonal from Celine Patisserie. A very nice addition to the various businesses along Greenwood and Phinney Avenues. Definitely get a reservation via Open Table, which is easy peasy straightforward. They are open daily 5-10pm and have happy hour from 5-6pm. The host and wait staff are very welcoming and polished. Hard to believe it's only day two. Everything went smoothly and nothing amiss. Chef Nick Chiaro is at the helm of a well run open air kitchen. The interior, decor, and music were on point. Sleek, modern, yet warm and welcoming. I appreciated our two top by the window, perfect view of the restaurant activity and passersby along the sidewalk. Onward to the menu selections. Beverages: Choice of still or bottled water. The Homie had a lemonade ($6). I opted for the Biker Gang Sour cocktail ($14) with overproof rum, plantation pineapple, and lime. Delicious! Shared Starters: Salmon Crudo (3 pieces, $16) with tumeric, caperberry, and giardinera. Delicate and flavorful! Panisse with comte and black garlic (5 pieces, $11). Served piping hot and that black garlic cream beneath was memorable. We didn't order the bread and butter service ($6) to save room, but as an fyi the bread and desserts are homemade. Kudos to the pastry/baking team. Oh to have a piece of bread just to sop up the evoo and black garlic cream though! Pasta: The Homie selected the Cavatelli with rabbit, anchovy, pine nuts and chili ($19). I snagged a taste of the sauce and a perfectly cooked cavatelli, mmmm! I was happy with the generous serving of Tonnarelli with prawns, white wine, and chili ($21). Twirling that pasta and sweet, plump prawns! Saved room for dessert, we each had the Gianduja Tart with almond, hazelnut, and chocolate ($13). Aesthetically pleasing, but had the flavor and texture to match. Yes, dinner was an absolute spontaneous splurge, but a terrific way to celebrate a new neighborhood dining destination. Autumn has a magical feel after the pandemic restrictions. Good to be among others and the opportunity to dine onsite. Nice location, sleek interior, welcoming service, variety of beverages, plus delicious starters, pastas, entrees, and dessert. Delightful, highly recommended!

Yelp
Took my wife on a date. The place is modern, clean and inviting. Service great and food phenomenal. It was our first time here, there were so many tasty options in the menu, so we decided to go for the chef's selection special (pre-fixed menu) and the wine pairing. We had a great time and enjoyed every single dish and wine. FYI- I had to plan and make reservations almost two weeks in advance since it is a popular place, so plan accordingly, you will not be disappointed!

Yelp
The burrata was good it had fried prosciutto. The rigatoni Italian sausage is a little spicy. The duck was also good but feel like it still lacks a bit of seasoning. The overall ambience of this place is good for datenight. We were here around 8pm on a Tuesday and there isn't a wait. But your only option is street parking.

Yelp
Came here for date night a few weeks ago, it was delicious! The waitress was super nice and accommodating. The atmosphere was great, perfect place for a date night. It's a little pricey but nothing too crazy! We got the burrata, polenta fries, two pastas, two cocktails and the garlic bread and after tax and tip it was about $200. We would definitely come back! I unfortunately do not have pictures but I have a reel on my instagram @Annie's.eating.again if you want to see the videos!

Yelp
My daughter picked this place for my birthday celebration dinner. We intended to just have drinks and snacks but ended up making it a light dinner. They have a nice selection of wine by the glass - between the two of us we tried four different ones - none disappointed. The dishes were well prepared and very creatively presented. Will visit again when I'm in town!

Yelp
Came here with a couple of girlfriends Friday after work. We were able to snag a last minute reservation, which I recommend doing, but they do have bar seating which is first come first served as well as a couple of tables they reserve for walk-ins. Also note that happy hour goes until 6pm, but it is only available at the bar and not at the tables. FOOD/DRINK: We started with a bottle of cava (~$50). They provide a wine chiller for the table. I forgot to make note of the bottle, but it was an organic cava and had a nice yeasty aroma, and was complementary to everything we ate (not too sweet or too dry) We shared everything family style: Salmon Crudo ($14) - this was tasty, however the salmon had more of a cured/smoked salmon texture and flavor rather than a more fresh crudo that I am used to. I enjoyed the giardinera topping on here (was like a mix of pickled crumbled cauliflower and other veg). Comes with 3 pieces so is easy to share. Dozen Oysters ($40) - The oysters they had when we went were Kushi and $20/half dozen. Oysters were yummy, served with a lemon wedge and mignonette. The mignonette itself was a deep red, thought maybe there may have been some beets in there? Cavatelli ($19) - this was the rabbit pasta with anchovy, pine nut, and chili. I really enjoyed the texture of the pasta, it was nice and al dente to my taste. It was a bit on the salty side but not overly so. The bits of rabbit in there tasted similar to shredded dark meat chicken. It was a tasty dish, but we all agreed that it didn't taste much like rabbit and we didn't pick up on any gamey or earthy flavors. Black Cod ($31) - in contrast to the pasta dish, this was mild and not salty at all (maybe could've been a touch saltier?). The fish itself was very tender and flaky, however I didn't love the rest of the plate. I did not notice the charred allium. There are puffed grains on top of the fish - my only comment about this was that it actually reminded me of little maggots which wasn't super appealing. The puffed grains were not particularly crispy either, so not sure that they added much in terms of flavor or texture. The spring greens (I think they were pea shoots) were very tough to eat and difficult to even cut with a knife. The top of the fish appeared to be blackened but the skin was soft and not crispy. We chose the cod over the duck breast per the waiter's suggestion (and everyone was already interested in it), but in hindsight I wish I had tried one of the meat dishes. SERVICE: Our waiter was very friendly and attentive! OTHER NOTES: Note that they do have seating time allotments depending on your table size so be mindful of that (2 hours for 2 people, 2.5 hours for up to 4 people, etc). I personally did not have ANY cell phone service where we were sitting (I have AT&T), but my friends on Verizon seemed ok. OVERALL: Autumn was very cute. Food highlights for me were the texture of the pasta (perfectly chewy al dente), and the topping on the crudo. I wasn't really blown away by the food this time around, but I would like to come back for their happy hour sometime.

Yelp
Food and service were great. My only note is that the pass/expo where finished plates are put for servers to grab was really close to the restrooms with doors hanging open. Could probably be solved with the right hinges that swing the restroom doors closed

Yelp
Came here for my birthday a few weeks ago and was super excited for try this place out. I had heard good things about both the food at atmosphere, but was let down quite a bit. While the space itself was clean, modern, and spacious, it also seemed somber in a way. I cant pinpoint exactly why, but it was so hush hush, and not in a romantic way, that it almost seemed awkward to talk. Our waiter was very friendly and personable though. I ordered a canneolli with squash, kale, and ricotta. While it came with deviously fried kale on top, it also had sunflower seeds and other toppings that seemed burned. They didn't put this on their menu and so I ended up not enjoying the dish since I don't like sunflower seeds. Whatever else on it was a bit burned and was hard to stomach. I feel like if you have nuts in your dish, it should be on the menu for allergies sake. The dish was also very oily. My friend ordered another pasta dish with sausage that she enjoyed, and while it looked pretty and I had a taste, it wasn't extraordinary. We has the tiramisu for dessert, and it was definitely better than the main courses. Nice and fluffy, not too sweet, good texture and coffee flavor. Not the best I've had, but good. Overall, I wouldn't go again, but it was good to try.

Yelp
Very good food! Entire staff was warm and welcoming. Would highly recommend if you are in the area. 3 appetizers and 2 pastas was A LOT of food for 2 ppl but it was sooo yummy.

Yelp
Excellent food, impeccable service, beautiful and airy atmosphere. We've been twice and it was really exceptional. Don't miss the burrata appetizer. Three friends and I each tried a different pasta. They were all wonderful. My ragu was so tasty and the portion so generous that I took almost half of it home -- but it was immediately stolen by my husband. Will need to go back soon for some more. The posset dessert was also not to miss. One minor issue is that it can be hard to hear conversations. They could benefit from some soft fabrics. Modern design does have some impracticalities.

Yelp
The worst thing about Autumn is that you won't be able to dine anywhere else after being here. We already loved the place for its food and ambiance, but Hunter truly went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable. From accommodating our dietary restrictions to getting everything for our kiddos (high chairs, special kid meals, even offering to wash our toddler's germ-filled tumbler in their industrial dishwasher), he was the epitome of exemplary customer service. Not to mention his food and drink recommendations were absolutely spot on! Kudos to Autumn and to Hunter for creating a restaurant we want to go to as a family for years to come.

Yelp
Autumn, located on quaint Greenwood Avenue in Phinney Ridge, offers an extensive selection of new Italian dishes, cocktails, and wine. The indoor dining area with open kitchen is beautiful and modern. Come during Seattle Restaurant Week for the best fine dining for $35 in town! 1) Service (+): Our server was very friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. There is only indoor dining and we made reservation about a week in advance for Restaurant Week. 2) Ambience (+): I love the modern, romantic, and cozy vibe of the restaurant. The Phinney neighborhood nearby is also adorable! 3) Food (+): This is the best Restaurant Week dinner menu in town! For appetizers, you get all 4 options - charred asparagus with hollandaise sauce and fennel pollen, gem lettuce salad, Ahi tuna crudo, and burrata with walnut and honeycomb on a crostini. For my main, I chose the glazed shortrib, which was cooked to tender perfection with spring onion and bitter greens. The buttermilk panna cotta for dessert was also to die for with rhubarb, ginger, and caramelized white chocolate. I LOVED every dish! 4) Alcohol/Drinks (+): There is a very large selection of cocktails and wines. 5) Value for Money (+): Not sure about the normal a la carte menu but the $35 Restaurant Week special was an absolute STEAL for this lovely 3 course dinner.

Yelp
Modern, clean look inside. I thought the space was a bit cramped, despite the windows opening up to the street and making it seem a bit larger. We had the panisse and cauliflower as starters. I thought the panisse was going to be boring and I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Entrees were a couple plates of pasta, which were solid but not memorable. They change with the seasons and it's definitely worth a repeat visit. We skipped the proteins, as we were already patting bellies.

Yelp
What a cute restaurant/bar! Autumn has one of the best HHs I have been to in a while. Happy hour is only at the bar area. The staff is very friendly and thoughtful. It definitely gets busy so would recommend making a reservation if youre thinking of going for dinner. The open kitchen adds to the feel of a trendy restaurant. From their fresh oysters to the mushroom pasta you cannot go wrong with what you order. Their panna cotta was also so good! the crunch with pear compote ontop of a perfectly made not too sweet panna cotta. mmmm Also huge shoutout to the bar. My friend wanted to put a twist to her cocktail order and they did so well with incorporating the modifications. We will definitely come back. Definitely recommend for a fun night out with good food.

Yelp
Very cute, yet upscale and modern vibe. The food tasted really fresh which I enjoyed. It is an open kitchen concept which was really fun! The burrata was okay. The jam it came with was tart and complimented the other ingredients really well. However, I have had other burrata dishes I have liked more. The pasta was really the star of the show. The pesto was excellent and the homemade breadcrumbs on top were wonderful!
