"This diner’s name leaves absolutely nothing to the imagination—they do bacon and eggs, and they do it well. But the menu spans a wide variety of morning foods that work for whatever kind of day you’re about to have. You could fuel up with green chile-kicked migas and crispy hash browns before swirling around pours of semillon. Or maybe your only prerogative is to get into some orange cinnamon-battered brioche french toast after perusing ceramic home goods at the Walla Walla General Store and/or at records at Hot Poop. Note that Bacon & Eggs serves the best sit-down breakfast in town and everyone knows it, so it gets crowded in here—especially at the wall of hot sauces that you can snatch and take back to your table. " - aimee rizzo

"Though there’s often a line out the door, the wait is worth it at Bacon & Eggs. Locals and tourists alike queue up for scratch-made, locally sourced breakfasts as well as a creative breakfast cocktail menu and an impressive wall of hot sauce bottles. It’s a great way to fuel up before a day of wine tasting (or to recover from one). Try the shrimp & grits with smoked mozzarella or the Texas eggs with cumin-spiced black beans, sharp white cheddar, and jalapeño cornbread." - Stephanie Forrer

"This hip diner sources local ingredients for its breakfast and lunch options, such as wild smoked Pacific salmon lox. The menu sways a little Mexican (huevos rancheros, carne asada) and a little Southern (shrimp and grits, crabcakes), and diners can start the day off right with the Morning Paper (Gin, St. Germain, and fresh-squeezed grapefruit juice with a prosecco float)." - Matthew Lombardi

The line outside is long. And for a good reason. Perfect place for breakfast and lunch at Walla Walla. The food was cooked to perfection ( I know what you are thinking- well it is only omelets and scrambled and some salads. Yes! And it was perfect) Hush browns to die for. Coffee one of the best we had in WA State. They have attention to details. Food arrived exactly as we ordered ( eggs running, separating all ingredients as we requested, no salt). We love professional people and places. One thing regarding tips. Guys, this is not an expansive place. Leave the waitresses 20%. They are working hard at this location. Our tiny recommendation.

Google
I got the crab cake Benedict that looked appealing online. Once I got the food the cakes fell apart. Felt like process crab and had a fishy taste. The potatoes were OK . I should have gotten the original eggs Benedict I’m sure this review would have been completely different. Service was cool I had to ask for my own coffee refill. Price is up there but I understand the economics hardships. I would most definitely come back but I will stay away from the crab cake Benedict.

Google
Busy breakfast joint. Great food and lots of hot sauces to choose from. They definitely pack them in so go early or go late ;)

Google
If you enjoy eating breakfast at a bar this is your kinda breakfast place. The wrinkled up menu matched the hostesses skirt crease for crease. There were more cocktail options on the menu than breakfast items. Don’t ask for an omelette because they’re going to make you come up with the recipe and charge you extra for each item in the omelette. Don’t expect refills on your coffee and don’t expect them to show back up with any cream or sugar. The good news is that her nose rings weren’t covered in snot.

Google
Very crowded but great food and service. We waited an hour on a Saturday morning, which I've heard is pretty average. The coffee was good, and the French toast I got was impressively good. Would recommend. Makes me wish I lived in the area.

Google
Absolutely love this fun place with delicious food. My husband wasn't in agreement with me when I chose this place on yelp, but we were both glad that I was stubborn in my choice when we were finding where we would like to have brunch. The cocktails were creative and tasty, the food was way too good. We were just passing through Walla Walla, but we found ourselves planning our next meal here when we finished. 🙂 The staff was nice and they have some nice little foodstuffs you can buy too. My husband got chilaquiles and I got shrimp and grits. It was super tasty.

Google
Sat out front and that was nice! Lady who brought us to our seats/brought food was very curt/ could tell she didn’t want to be there. Food took awhile, was just average. Service from our server was bare minimum.

Linsey Schafer

Google
Delicious breakfast with options for varying dietary needs. My husband raved about the biscuits and gravy. The staff, although busy, were kind and helpful. The service was a bit slow, but it was a packed house! Overall, we’d come back here when in town and enjoyed our experience.

Yelp
Great To-Go order @ Bacon & Eggs in Walla Walla, WA.!! We were very impressed with the delicious and flavorful meals we ordered for breakfast. I called in the order, the staff member was very efficient on the phone with me, and said it would be about 15 minutes. I was greeted as soon as I entered their gorgeous storefront. They bagged up my order, boxed and labeled each meal, and included individual paper sleeves with cutlery, napkins, and salt & pepper. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. The only downside was that the prices on their website are not updated. I was expecting it to be a $45 bill for 4 meals, but it was actually $68 before tip. I mentioned this discrepancy to the staff member and she said that they have been trying to work with the web provider to update it. I posted the current menu and corresponding prices here. We feel the food was still worth the current price.

Yelp
I was hoping to find one of those really good breakfast restaurants that want you coming back for more. The food was just ok and nothing out of the ordinary. The hashbrowns were not your typical crispy brown on the outside type that I love. I have definitely had better eggs Benedict. My daughter order pancakes with bananas. We had to search for the bananas and realized they were cooked in the batter with no extra bananas on top. My husband ordered the Nutella French toast. They were not fried French toast. I think it was really thick brioche bread that may have been seared on the top and added Nutella. So the rest was just regular bread. The food was not awful it just wasn't anything special. Service was fine considering they were pretty busy.

Yelp
So excited to try this place and drove from out of town. We were drawn in by the amazing exterior. Once I was on the inside the ambiance was charming and quaint. My family and I were looking for a special little place and we thought we had found the perfect spot. However that's all I can say that's Positive... Never been so left alone in a restaurant .. Very disappointed in the Bacon and Eggs at Bacon and eggs...

Justin L.

Yelp
The service was amazing at the bar, the lady took care of all my needs in a timely manner. I like the latte she made, it was very smooth and just how I like. The shrimp and grits wasn't up to par, the celery in it was too strong and took over the flavor from the entire dish. Dropped a star for that reason The stuffed French toast was outstanding!! It was super good and I would totally come back for this

Jay H.

Yelp
What a great place for breakfast. We each ordered a dish and shared it between us. Even then we had enough leftovers for a 2nd meal. The salsa could have been spicier - but that's easy to fix. Portions were generous. Being from out of town, this was a crap-shoot and we hit a bulls eye. It will be on the short list the next time we're in town.

Alex M.

Yelp
There were an abundance of great looking dishes. I got the Texas eggs, and they did not disappoint. I went over to the hot sauce wall and picked out something tasty, and it was bliss. Also, props for serving great tasting coffee. The staff was great. The prices are very reasonable. The interior is simple and paired back (I like the carved statue of Our Lady of Guadalupe that greets you). My wife and I escaped for breakfast and hadn't been here in 3 years and were so glad we gave it another chance. It was such a treat.

Rob W.

Yelp
We arrived right when this place opened and it filled up fast. Lots of fresh, delicious food including sone killer sweet rolls. Enjoyed the eggs with tortilla chips and fresh hash browns. The sweet roll was amazing!!! Get here early is all I can say.

Lori W.

Yelp
Incredibly disappointed in their ability to seat large parties with reservations. Arrived dearly. Watched several parties be seated ahead of us and while we waited long past our resv time.

Gina M.

Yelp
Omg, what a great place to go for breakfast!! The food was so good, the service was great and I'm still thinking about those biscuits... so delish!!! Can't wait to get back to Walla Walla so I can try more of the menu.

Adrienne J.

Yelp
This place is so unique with such an awesome menu of different dishes than I have ever had. I try something new every time and I have never been disappointed. My husband is pretty specific about his taste in biscuits and gravy and he loves it here! The chilaquiles are delicious and filling too. The price of their meals are very reasonable too. Our whole meal only $33.21 plus tip. We will definitely be back again and next time I think I'll have to try the papas. Highly recommend these folks!!

Jessenia C.

Yelp
I understand busy, I'm known as the foodie of every group so I've seen busy in many restaurants but I have never received such horrible customer service in a busy restaurant I'm not trying to make this a racism rant but we definitely experienced a lot of it, not only did the person who sat us try to speak to us in Spanish which made no sense cause every one in our party was speaking English, we just laughed about it but the server/host kept doing it as if it was a joke. Our assigned server was rude from the moment we walked into the restaurant. Everyone's drinks took over 10 minutes to come to the table everyone's coffees were lukewarm.my drink looked nothing like the bloody Mary's I witnessed being served to other customers while waiting to be seated, which I found strange. Overall the customer service experience was trash. I just got my food so we'll see what the food quality here really is like cause it's obvious that customers aren't that important to this establishment I've had better breakfast at home. I'm disappointed considering how great everyone's reviews were about this place.

Munzer Q.

Yelp
A fantastic spot for breakfast. And an amazing service. Also the coffee is out of this world. We enjoyed the food and the service. The spot is just perfect. Go and enjoy it.

Geoffrey T.

Yelp
Third time eating here. I ordered the Texas Eggs and drip coffee. We also ordered migas and shrimp and grits. Food was great. Service was professional and efficient. Short wait on a Sunday at 0830hrs. Nice decor inside. I definitely recommend going here.

Irene B.

Yelp
Love this place! Portions are big! Food is delicious! Customer service is spot on. We loved sitting outside with the sunshine and view of the town. Visited with others as they walked by. Highly recommend. Must try the biscuits and gravy and the breakfast burrito.

Madison P.

Yelp
Amazing brunch with great service! The shrimp and grits were amazing and that's coming from a born and raised Southern girl. Full bar was a fun addition as well. Highly recommend!

Kevin D.

Yelp
This restaurant has great southwestern breakfast options and coffee. Several types of Benedict as well.

Linda K.

Yelp
Haven't eaten downtown for awhile and thought we would try this restaurant. Food seemed to have be prepared ahead of time and sitting a bit long. I didn't get the egg prepared as I ordered and the toast was the wrong bread. The other meal was a little poor also. Minimum gravy on extra dry biscuit. Atmosphere was nice.

Alan E.

Yelp
Great food and friendly staff. Even the costumers were a friendly, chatty bunch. The location is perfect for having a great filling breakfast then a walkabout in the heart of downtown.

Stacy S.

Yelp
A new review, with 4 stars instead of my previous 5. We had breakfast here last weekend. He ordered the breakfast burrito and I got the crab cake benedict. Both were delicious. Unfortunately something happened with how our order was fired and cooked... he was halfway done with his burrito before my benedict even arrived. And it appeared that this was happening at a few other tables too. The bummer is that our waitress never came by or noticed while helping adjacent tables. We kept trying to catch her eye and her her attention, but couldn't.

Alexa S.

Yelp
The worse service I've ever experienced. We had reservations and arrived 30 min early to check in. 2 larger groups (one of which did not have a reservation) was seated before us. The staff was incredibly rude and ignored us when we inquired about a wait time. We were finally seated 30 min after our reservation time with no explanation and no apology.

Jess C.

Yelp
Had breakfast here. Service was quick, portion sizes were good. Had the French toast, an omelette, and the crab cake Benedict. Drinks was a coffee and tequila sunrise. Everything was good, price and quality are skewed a little. Would try another place first before returning.

Katia L.

Yelp
I could eat here for breakfast, lunch and dinner! I love the location and the local food. The staff is always bright and cheerful.

Matthew W.

Yelp
Food is amazing and the staff are so kind. I would always recommend this spot for anyone who's trying to find a good breakfast spot on Walla Walla!

Jessica R.

Yelp
I'm not sure I've ever had a crab cake sandwich as good as this one. I've had them all over the country and this one is truly the most delicious. And knowing they use Dukes mayo definitely made me excited

Julia R.

Yelp
The service was good. Bloody Mary's were watered down. Ordered the shrimp and grits. It was incredibly watery, hardly any grits. Drowned in buttery oil (like a bowl of soup). The flavor was decent. My husband got the bagels and lox which was good. Would try again, just a different dish.

Jose C.

Yelp
The server was very busy, as was the restaurant. The mimosa I ordered was to be an Orange Mimosa, but it arrived in a pounder glass, full of ice, pale and tasted like lemonade/grapefruit. I couldn't drink it! I ordered and retracted a beer, but was still charged (my bad for not checking the bill carefully). Otherwise, the tall stack and bacon were fine.

Heather B.

Yelp
The service and food were great. It's a little small so not a lot of maneuvering room but they take reservations and that's a huge win for me!

Melissa C.

Yelp
Came here around 9am and there was no wait for 2 people outside, although I saw there was a slight wait inside. They were fast with my husband's order of chilaquiles, which we added pulled pork on top of. This was delicious although probably could serve two people. I wish it was served on a plate as the bowl made the tortilla chips soggy at the bottom. They were pretty slow with my order of huevos con chorizo. This was really tasty as well and felt lighter than the pulled pork chilaquiles. Would recommend for a hearty breakfast!

Sean A.

Yelp
Was in Town for a wine tasting and wedding. Had a wonderful breakfast and a plus is open on a weekday! The hardest part was choosing from their fresh biscuits, Bene's and assortment of Mexican breakfast dishes. I had their papas pastores, my wife had the Crab Benedict that was rich and delicate. Their green Bloody Mary was unique and refreshing and actually enjoyed over the traditional. Tasted biscuits and gravy before the plate was licked clean. A great place in downtown Walla Walla and did I mention they have a great hot sauce bar

Mindy P.

Yelp
I would give 3.5 stars if that was an option. Cute place with lots of nice outdoor seating. Good, fast service . We liked the green and red bloody Mary's. Coffee was really good. Hubby got egg tacos, which were first on the menu and "basic," lacking innovation and flavor. I got the breakfast sandwich #1 which was good but didn't need to be as rich. Eggs were fluffy. Hash browns were the big winner.

Kathie s.

Yelp
We have trying to go to this restaurant each time we have gone to Walla Walla and this time we were able to get in and it was yummy! Super busy even on a Monday morning, but worth the wait. We are vegetarian and they have many options for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. Customer service was fast and friendly and they checked back often for a busy restaurant. At the time of this review, we were able to make a reservations which was amazing so we did not have to wait with the others who had not done so. We will be back next time we are in the area.

Brooklyn S.

Yelp
Best place to eat breakfast in Walla Walla if you're not into disgustingly large portions of pancakes and such like a couple of the other places in town (you know where I mean!) that make you feel like you're being served slop. The portion sizes at Bacon & Eggs are generous without being ridiculous, and the menu is fantastic. I've had shrimp and grits there as well as huevos rancheros. Both dishes are so good, I haven't expanded beyond those two the several times I've been there! The staff are friendly and casual. Really, it's a pretty perfect place for breakfast.

Conner J.

Yelp
The tragedy of their amazing hot sauce shelf is that you don't need it. I had one of the most flavorful breakfasts I have ever had and never even thought of using a hot sauce on it. For what the Pablas pas tores was lacking in appearance it made up for in taste and texture. The fresh vegetables were perfectly sautéed and well chosen together. I was skeptical of the choice to add olives but was proven wrong with every bite. The sauce they used was really flavorful but not too overpowering. I found myself scooping it onto the dish every chance I got. The creativity and favors was not just for the Pablas pas tores however. Our table got peanut butter and jelly filled French toast, harvest tofu bowl, and much more, and it was all great. The atmosphere itself was great as well with used brick walls, great lighting, and amazing outdoor seating. The staff was super friendly as well, constantly filling our water, asking if we needed anything, etc. The only down side is, like most great places, it is not a secret. It takes a while to get seating especially if you are in a big party. We had reservations and it still took about 30 minutes to seat us. Don't let that get you down though because it's worth it!

Jenny Z.

Yelp
This was our second time trying this place...first time in person / not take out. We were able to be sat quickly outside on a Sunday morning. Overall delicious food at a great value. Amazing service...some of the friendliest people ever. Loved both my and my husband's breakfast. I got the crab cake Benedict. Yum the crab was melt in your mouth and combined perfectly with the gooey poached egg and toasty English muffin. Hollandaise was good too and I don't even typically like this sauce. Wasn't more buttery than lemon-y. Breakfast burrito was also great. Large portion and had big chunks of potato in it. They brought out several different hot sauces to try with it. Recommend the green jalapeño one which gave it the perfect kick. The cinnamon roll we got to start I would pass on next time. It was a big pastry but not warm, a little hard, and overly sugary. To me, it tasted twice as sweet as a Cinnabon... couldn't finish!

Jason S.

Yelp
Very friendly service. Interesting menu selections. It appears to be a popular place so get there early or make a reservation. Everyone in our group of 8 enjoyed their breakfast.

Dakota R.

Yelp
Simply, extraordinary breakfasts! Great casual, local, home-cooked, and welcoming vibe. Service was the best in town!

Karl B.

Yelp
Great place to eat. Location is in the heart of downtown. Always busy. Parking can be hit or miss.

Brett J.

Yelp
I'm a tough cookie, so take this review in scope of the honest man I am. I came with a group of ten and had a slight wait for a Sunday morning. This place definitely nourished us and got us feeling ready for our long drive back to the 6. Servings are large and you can tell the kitchen crew is having fun making these dishes. This place slaps and would recommend coming here!

Erica N.

Yelp
What gets me most about this place is the love that goes into the food, especially the Saturday morning baked goods. Pro tip: call ahead to reserve a table and a cinnamon roll. Ask about the scone of the day, as it's always seasonal. The Crab Cakes Benedict is packed with flavors. Best vegan option is off the secret menu: Loaded Hash, which starts with hash browns and ends with anything on the Omelette Add-On menu. Biscuits & Gravy is creamy, sausage-y yumminess and the Breakfast Sandwich brings together a classic combination: flavorful tomatoes and pesto. It's busy on the weekends so it can get somewhat noisy, but I appreciate the bustle of the staff working hard to get me my food before I get hangry. Go with friends to share or prepare to take home leftovers.

Makiah H.

Yelp
My go to for breakfast whenever I am in Walla Walla! They have all the classic breakfast favorites plus more! The breakfast tacos are a must try, you can switch up the meet inside etc... and don't forget about the house made biscuits with gravy. Whether you want just a plate of "bacon & eggs" or a brunch feast you will not be disappointed. Family friendly and the patio is super pet friendly as well! Highly recommend popping in when visiting town.

Taylor M.

Yelp
Our visit this morning wasn't worth the $50. My husband got the Migas with a Bloody Mary and a side of jalapeño corn bread, and I got the Monte Cristo with drip coffee and a side of hash browns. Migas we're good and flavorful. Cornbread had no jalapeño flavor plus was very dry. Sadly the Bloody Mary came out in a broken glass. And upon getting the new cup, we discovered a hair on the pickled green bean. Gross! The Monte Cristo was a simple bread slice with ham and cheese. For $13?! Never again. The hash browns had no crispness to them. Just overall very disappointed in the kitchen. Server was very kind and accommodating. But we question ever going back with food at this quality. Coffee was good. I'll give them that.

James J.

Yelp
Prices were reasonable and food was very good. Service was really bad, however. Would try again - maybe it was an off day.

Thomas G.

Yelp
Love So great Wether alone Or on a date Breakfast or lunch Brunch or fate Ending up here Is fantastic Best in Washington state

Autumn A.

Yelp
The serving sizes are large and the food is good! The outdoor seating space is comfortable.

Mster M.

Yelp
The hostess had a little bit of attitude . Waitress was friendly . They have a nice dining area outside with lovely plants. Wait time was not to long at all. Prices are average. Parking on street . Food was good, very simple for what it was.

Rebecca M.

Yelp
This is THE place in Walla Walla for breakfast. There may be a bit of a wait but it's worth it! So many options to choose from for breakfast for every palate!

David S.

Yelp
Good place for breakfast. Sat at the counter and enjoyed the experience, Friendly and welcoming. Hearty potions and well cooked. Highlight of this restaurant is the bread and pastries.

Rachelle D.

Yelp
Always the best, freshest food! Great service staff. I have tried many Irish coffees , basically every where we go. Bacon & Eggs, by far has the best. They can seat many customers but each table feels comfortable where you can enjoy your private conversations. Although we usually prefer to eat at the bar. The owner is never far away, behind the bar or in the kitchen, she is always available.

Stella W.

Yelp
We don't go to Walla Walla without a trip to Bacon & Eggs. Sometimes twice in one visit. Great food, super friendly service, yummy bloody mary's. Sigh, I just woke up hungry and wish we were there now.

Glen M.

Yelp
This last Sunday, there was a line to get on the wait list. I was first but multiple parties behind me also waiting. The hostess chooses to continue answering the phone and prioritizing callers by placing them on the wait list over the people standing right in front of her. We asked very nicely to be placed ahead of the callers and she declined. I saw several of the people behind me depart on hearing this slight. Server was pleasant. Two of us had the breakfast sandwich. We both agreed that it was VERY basic. I might give it another try as some of the dishes coming out of the kitchen looked good but the meh food and the tone set right out of the gate make this a second tier choice in the future.
