San Francisco’s New Restaurant Openings

"The city has another bagel shop: Bageletto in the Mission. Their bagels are available in bulk with schmears, or you can get sandwiches with lox, turkey and bacon, or a muffuletta-inspired combination with soppressata, mortadella, and provolone." - julia chen 1

Bageletto - Review - Mission - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"When you’re in the Mission and need a malty, ring-shaped breakfast, Bageletto gets the job done. The counter-service spot serves solid bagels, sandwiches, and schmears in so many flavors and combinations that the menu almost needs its own scaffolding. Go for the calabrian chili schmear that has a subtle kick, or the Bagel Bite-like pizza version with soppressata and hot honey—it’s just as filling, but with tomato sauce instead of cream cheese. While we wouldn’t make a dedicated trip to Bageletto, their bagels do the trick if you’re nearby. Seating is limited to a couple of outdoor tables, so come with a backup plan for where to eat." - Julia Chen

If you thought you ate a good bagel in the city you haven't. Bageletto, is a must if you can't get to nyc for a bagel then you should already be in line, and if your not a fan of Bagels no worries they have a chopped cheese and a prim dip on one of the best baguettes in town. To sum it up if you're a bagel or sandwich person you haven't lived until you ate at BAGELETTO!!

Nick P.

Google
A strange bagel shop. I’ve never been in a bagel shop that didn’t show any bagels for sale. I would call this more of a sandwich shop than anything else. It looks like a cafe with the espresso machine next to the iPad. The sandwich I ordered was good but didn’t have any cream cheese on the bagel, I guess I should have ordered that as well. Left it kind of dry to eat. I’ll have to come back for just bagel and spread soon. $20 plus sandwiches is something I’ll never get used to either. $50 for two sandwiches and a small coffee, please give me a break. And they ask for a tip

Google
Best bagel I’ve had on the west coast, really quick service. Not only do they taste bomb, the consistency of the bagels are the perfect mix of airy and chewy. For the price you get a giant portion, bigger than most places so really when you do the unit cost out you’re getting a good deal for the size + quality.

✨NEW✨ must try New York style bagels in the Bay Area! Share with your bagel-loving bestie🗽🥯✨ @bageletto is bringing the east coast to the west coast with their delicious bagels and we couldn’t be happier! Whether you’re team schmear, team sandwich, or just love bagels fresh out the oven, they’ve got you covered from being customizable to your liking or choosing one of their signatures. They also have a Calabrian chili & cheese bagel that we haven’t seen anywhere else and it was soo good along with their Lox & Loaded! There’s no seating so it’s a quick grab and go place, but perfect for enjoying at a park nearby. Service is also very nice!

Google
Not a bad bagel, but can't justify the price. It's certainly way better than Noah's just down the street and on par with Boichik or Wise Son's. The Calabrian chili is pretty unique as well. Would've liked the bagel a bit warmer, but at least there was a nice crunch and they didn't skimp on the cream cheese. The open face or crafted bagels seem to be their main selling point though, so I may come back in the future for those. On just a bagel with cream cheese though, it's average.

Google
A very refreshing modern bagel shop. Out door seating (two) tables and in side a small area for ordering and collecting your bagel! I have tried bagels from all around San Francisco and hands down these are the best! They are cooking bagels all day long, not like all other shops that cook them before the store opens for the entire day. Buy baking throughout the day you are guaranteed a fresh bagel. Great bagels.

Google
Takes a long time but the lox and loaded is a top tier lox bagel — better than shloks and hella bagel in my opinion. Plain blueberry bagel had real blueberries but texture was not to my taste, the crust was quite thick rather than chewy. I would stick to the sandwiches.

Lisa Huang

Google
I got some blueberry and sesame bagels to go. The bagels definitely have the chewiness you are looking for but maybe a bit too dense for my liking (prefer fluffier). Overall pretty good but not comparable to the top ones in New York imo. The cream cheese toppings were kinda overpriced so we passed on that. Friendly service but unfortunately no place to sit in to eat. There’s also quite a bit of wait even if you are just getting plain bagels with no toppings.

Yelp
this bagel was insaneee!! The lox and loaded is so packed with flavors from the scallion cream cheese to all the toppings of capers and pickled onions. The bagels are very soft and dense, which is how I like it. Service was super nice and they gave us free peach mocktails while we waited!! So so special! The ambiance was incredibly cool as well and they had a dj there spinning at 11 am it was awesome! My only complaint would be limited outdoor seating, but other than that, it's a perfect place with perfect bagels

Yelp
unfortunately i spent way too long trying to figure out if the sausage being pink in the middle was safe to eat. i checked yelp for reference pics, asked google and friends... to play it safe i went home and microwaved it after a few bites (so i guess time will tell lol). slightly disappointing. on a more positive note, i like the jalapeño cheese bagel and calabrian chili schmear, which i've had on a separate occasion. maybe i get a different sandwich next time.

Yelp
Mediocre bagels in the city. The bagels didn't feel freshly made and were really hard. The cream cheese itself is really delicious and unique, but as far as pricing and quality I do not recommend it here. Service is good. Ambiance is pretty, but I give this place a 6/10 overall. I definitely wouldn't come back

Yelp
Lately, I feel like there's been a lot more bagel spots popping up in SF and I haven't tried a single one. So I arbitrarily decided that today would be the day I start my bagel journey. I' ve seen a couple reviews complaining about the bagel quality; clearly I'm not a bagel expert by any means, but the bagel tasted fine to me. The Studio 54 is meaty and very filling, which is much appreciated! Maybe the only thing is that it could have used a little bit more salt, but just that's just my personal taste. If you're just stopping by for lunch, you could probably split the bagel with someone. There are a couple tables outside, but to my knowledge, no inside seating and maybe no bathroom? So I hope you've practiced holding it until you can find a place to go

Yelp
As a former New Yorker, I hereby appoint myself judge and jury on all things bagel-related in San Francisco. And the verdict is in: this little newcomer delivers. But let's not bury the lede--the chopped cheese sandwich is the star of the show. Is it the only chopped cheese in San Francisco? Quite possibly. And frankly, even if it isn't.... it's the one to beat. We're talking hamburger meat, melty cheese, "shred-uce" (shredded lettuce, obviously), tomato, and love, all packed into a house-made chewy baguette that walks the line between crusty perfection and soft indulgence. One bite and my New York soul did a double take. This sandwich could cure a hangover, a breakup, or a general loss of faith in humanity (which, quite frankly is my current lament). Also possibly induce a small heart attack--but soooo friggin' worth it. We also grabbed an everything bagel to go. Solid. Respectable. But honestly, skip the bagel fanfare and come here for that glorious sandwich (Now a place of honor in my top 10 SF sammies). There is no indoor seating. None. Zip, Nada. But they give you a list of nearby spots to enjoy your meal (see my photo). We took our bounty to In Chan Kaajal Park, just a short stroll away, and it was the perfect al fresco pairing. Final ruling: Guilty... of being spectacular!!!!!!!!!.

Yelp
Bagel: delicious!! Great texture (crunch on the exterior, fluffy yet chewy interior), roasty toasty garlic flavor with some crunch on my garlic bagel. This is not Noah's nor silly nearly-same-meh-as-Noah's Boichik (seriously, how much did they pay that NYT writer to say the best bagels are at their shops??) Hype: eh... I'm not waiting in line for Bageletto, but I am glad we tried it! I will absolutely be back to pick up a placed-online to-go order. I'm giving 4 stars because, IMHO, the hype and cost don't align. $18 for 2 slices of lox on the open face Lox & Loaded, $22 for a chopped cheese(seriously!?) seems to be taking advantage of location/lack of good bagels on this side of the city. If there were more lox on my boyfriend's sandwich, I might feel a lil differently. I got the Mediterranean on toasted garlic bagel. Hit the spot, though I wish I had more of the cucumber/tomato/olive topping to match the photo on website. Value was mostly there, but felt a lil tricked, as it wasn't piled nearly as high as I expected. As mentioned above, BF's Lox & Loaded was a bit of a miss between the small portion of lox and the flavor of the pickled onions being way more pickle than onion. He had this on a jalapeño & cheddar bagel -- good amount of cheese and jollies! The Laundromat still has my vote for best bagel in the City -- I effing LOVE their egg everything bagel. Nevertheless, Bageletto is a great option for us if we don't want to trek to the other end of the City. Next time we'll be grabbing half a dozen bagels and topping ourselves at home.

Yelp
Very freshly made and super yummy! Service was kind. Not super quick like other bagel shops because they do make things fresh! Only negative is that it's small and only have outdoor tables and when the sun is blasting, it's not great- would be good to add umbrellas but they do keep the sidewalk clean- saw a worker grooming around. Inside is nice and bathroom is clean. You can peak into the kitchen and see the work they put in (very toasty in there as they are baking the bagels). Would prefer to buy and take somewhere else to eat but we did end up eating at the outdoor tables and it was ok, just better if there was shade

Yelp
I have been WAITING for a place like Bageletto to open in sf!! Lived here 4 years now and this is easily the best bagel I've had since moving from NY. The shmear was hefty which was a beautiful thing to see. I was pleasantly surprised to see fresh strawberries in the strawberry shmear. The bagels are chewy and thick. The buttery fresh scrambled eggs were coming out of the bagel. There was also a nice cheese pull happening. The jalapeño bagel might be my favorite just because of how rich the flavor was. This place is a lil pricey I won't lie. But these thick quality bagels have helped with my ny bagel withdrawal. So the price I will pay.

Yelp
Long wait time (in-person) because they prioritize online orders more than in-person customers (8 waiting at that time), there's only one person working in the front while multiple people in the back. This place need to be organized (putting bagels in front so they don't have to come back in and out for each order), and work on customer service (which apparently they don't have).

Yelp
I see why there are lines at this place now. Got here around 11am on a Sunday and there was a short line that moved somewhat slowly. I think it took me 30 minutes to get my bagel. The menu is extensive, with lots of options to choose from. No seating inside, but they have a clapboard that suggests nearby parks to picnic in. I ordered the Mattina Cotto ($15). It was an extra $1 to get the Calabrian chili bagel, but so worth it. These bagels are huge, and they're not dense like the New York bagels I've had, but fluffy and soft. The dough tore away like paper when I pulled on it. My jaw was grateful that it didn't have to work that hard. The egg and cheese was so soft and piping hot, and the prosciutto provided the perfect salty punch. I loved the Calabrian chili bagel. It had a bit of spiciness to it. Definitely one of the best bagels I've had. I shall be back.
google avatar

Caili C.

Yelp
Came by to pick up a half a dozen bagels and a tub of schmear to share with friends. I ended up getting the plain, sesame, and everything bagels along with a tub of the Calabrian chili cream cheese to go. I came towards the end of the day and we ate the bagels the next day after toasting them and they were still super fresh! I loved how fragrant the sesame bagel is with a ton of sesame seeds. Don't underestimate the Calabrian chili cream cheese! It's pretty spicy with pieces of chili pepper spread throughout. It definitely has a kick!

Yelp
Bageletto is new in town, serving up solid bagel sandwiches. I tried the mattina cotto and enjoyed my warm and fresh bagel sandwich that was packed with toppings. There was a decent amount of soft scrambled egg, but it didn't add much, while the prosciutto cotto added a nice dimension of flavor. I paid $1 extra for a jalapeño cheese bagel, and while it was soft and had a nice texture, I didn't taste much of either jalapeño or cheese. The bagel sandwiches may seem pricey, but they are hefty! Service was quick - we got our bagel sandwiches after ~5 minutes and a small line formed after we ordered around noon on a Saturday. There's no seating, so I recommend taking your bagel to go and eating at In Chan Kaajal Park a few blocks away.

Yelp
Picked up a half dozen from Bageletto and was seriously impressed. The bagels have that ideal chewy texture with a nice crisp on the outside. I tried a mix of flavors and they were all solid, but the nice surprise is the bacon and fig schmear. Sweet, smoky, creamy--just an awesome combo that I didn't know I needed. Super friendly service and a cool little spot overall. Definitely coming back for more bagels and to try the other schmears!

Yelp
Was craving bagels and ordered doordash. I've been searching for a good bagel spot after living in NYC for several years and it has been a hard search to find a spot remotely close to a NY bagel. This spot I can say is probably the closest. Crisp on the outside and soft/chewy on the inside. The balance of flavors for the Loaded & Lox bagel is excellent - creaminess from the cream cheese, salt from the lox and capers, and acid from the pickled onions - very filling. I did order it toasted. True test would be if it was still equally as good untoasted since you don't toast bagels in NYC. I did order several bagels to eat for the week and I can say they still tasted good untoasted! I did warm them for a few seconds in the microwave - either way highly recommend!

Yelp
I read that Bageletto keeps fresh bagels coming all day long. I believe it, but I think their bagel with cream cheese was underwhelming. I got the everything bagel with lox schmear. It was $3 for the everything bagel and $5 for lox schmear, just a dollar more than the $4 scallion schmear, which is what I would normally get. The bagel itself didn't have a lot of flavor, and it was a bit too chewy, dense and dry. Maybe needed a bit more toasting? I did appreciate the nuttiness of the sesame, since that was the dominant ingredient in their everything mix. Maybe their bagel sandwiches are better options, but I wanted to get something simple to really taste the bagel. I prefer Boichik's. Quick service and no wait on a week day. They don't have much seating, definitely a takeout kind of spot.

Yelp
There's a new bagel spot in SF, and after one visit, it's on my top 2 bagel spots in the bay. When we arrived, there was a bit of a group outside but the order line moved fast. We ordered a bagel & cream cheese and a chopped cheese sandwich, we waited around 15-20 but honestly it was worth the wait. I was a little suspicious of the chopped cheese sandwich being $22, but after a few bites, I wouldn't hesitate to order it again. The rustic bread was perfectly crunchy, and all the flavors just meshed so well. It was a big sandwich, but it was so good that I felt like I could eat another. Overall one of the best sandwiches I've had in a really long time. For the bagel, we got the Calabrian chili with the bacon/fig jam schmear. The bagel is light yet crunchy, and one of the best I've had in the city. They had some samples of their bagels and cream cheese. The cream cheese is a good mixture of firm/whipped, a perfect blend. Overall, if you like bagels, this is a spot I think is worth checking out. But don't just get the bagels, try that chopped cheese sandwich.

Yelp
*EYES WIDENED* Whoa, this is a big boi! I don't eat bagels often but the last time I had a bagel that some proclaimed as the "best" in the city, it was too hard and the size of a toddler's hand. Shrinkflation in full effect. Bāgeletto is serving up the largest bagels I've had (that isn't made for IG) so you def get your monies worth. Opening last week, Bāgeletto is the newest bagel shop to open in the city from two New Yorkers (they're not trying to replicate a NY bagel tho). They started out as a wholesale business and this is their first brick and mortar. Located in-between Rintaro and Pink Onion. Takeout only with two café tables outside. Online orders are not live yet. I heard the line/wait was crazy over the weekend so came during the weekday around 10:45 pm. There was only person ahead in line. M E N U Array of bagels with some unique flavors like calabrian chili. Bagels start at $3 each, 1/2 dozen: $17, and baker's dozen: $33. Eight ounce tubs of schmears: $7-$11. Vegan butter and vegan cream cheese available. Bagels are toasted upon request (light, medium, or dark). They also have bagel sandwiches: $11-$18, pizza bagels: $9-$13, and sandwiches: NY chopped cheese, muffaletta, roast beef sandwich, etc.: $18-$22. Coffee and bottled drinks available. Hope they consider adding self-serve tap water (cheapest bottle of water was $3.75). F O O D * Lox & Loaded: Lox, scallion schmear, tomato, pickled onion, capers, lemon zest ($18) - Request no capers - Request sesame bagel - Request medium toast The hefty bagel was perfectly chewy and dense. I know this may be controversial among bagel aficionados but I like my bagels warm and toasted. The sesame bagel was barely toasted so it didn't have that crispy crackly exterior. It was still VERY solid tho. The silky smooth lox was rich and buttery, with the juicy tomatoes and acidic onions providing a nice balance. I liked the thick, creamy texture of the scallion schmear but prefer a stronger oniony flavor. I also purchased half a dozen bagels ($17) and two tubs of plain schmears ($7 each) for friends who said it was good. S E R V I C E Upbeat and friendly cashier. He offered coffee while I waited for my order. They're still working out the kinks so it did take some time for sandwiches. A M B I A N C E Modern storefront with a huge commercial kitchen in back. Two café tables outside (4 chairs). P A R K I N G Very difficult street parking. Food Co. is across the street but park at your own risk. Overall, Bāgeletto is a great addition to The Mission. Will be back for that Chopped Cheese!

Yelp
A REAL NYC-style bagel?!!! Yes, please! It's been two years since we moved from Brooklyn. We FINALLY found the perfect NY-style bagel in NoCal. This place is legit! A hard crust and doughy center, it's the epitome of a good bagel. This place makes me so happy. I cannot wait to come back and get more bagels when the craving hits.

Yelp
Trying out this new bagel spot! The flavors of bagel variety are delicious, as well as the shmears and customizations you can make! I tried the Jalapeño Cheese Bagel with Fig & Bacon Shmear. Let me tell you, it changed my life. Someone who loves custom shmears, this one is the one. It has a perfect balance of sweet and savory. My partner got the Garlic with the Lox shmear, and it was also so good! There are good size chunks of lox in the shmear which make it flavorful, and not like any typical one we've had. The bagels are perfectly made, dense and fluffy at the same time, without having to fight your bagel for that first bite. The amount of shmear is perfect. The Ambiance is very calm, everyone seems in a great mood and the staff are super friendly. The line was out the door, but worth the wait! Next time we want to try the coffee selection they have!

Yelp
We shared the Lookout and the Grilled Chicken! These bagel sandwiches were massive (filled sky-high with meat) and absolutely delicious! This was such a pleasant surprise because the sandwiches are made with such high-quality ingredients. This is like a gourmet Bagel experience! The service was great, the food was divine and the spot is super clean! I highly recommend!!!

Yelp
New bagel shop in SF! The grilled chicken bagel with pesto was decent. I toasted my bagel and it came out still pillowy. The chicken needs a little more seasoning. The staff gave the people waiting in line some sample. And omg the mango cheese schmear was sooooo delicious. It had some mango bits and a hint of spiciness. It's a grab and go but you can peep into their kitchen at the back, which was bright and airy. I will be back for the mango cheese schmear and other Crafted Favorite items.

Yelp
I didn't realize how much I took a good bagel for granted until I moved to the west coast. They're a dime a dozen around here. Well, that's until Bageletto opened up shop! They're damn good too ! First time I visited, I got the jalapeño cheddar and cinnamon raisin bagels. Delicious!!! I ate one five days later and it barely got stiff. I went back a week later and got the chopped cheese sandwich!! Delicious!! Maybe I missed my time on the east coast but Bageletto has those vibes covered. They've got a really good thing on their hands.

Yelp
I've been looking for a good bagel sandwich place for awhile now and my friend told me about this place! Apparently, it's a newly opened bagel sandwich spot that opened recently, so we decided to try it. We went here on a Saturday around 2pm and there was a long wait (the card reader machine was broken that day) and his restaurant is card only. They also have a variety of free samples here, so that helped with the long wait. We were originally planning to order two sandwiches here, but then decided to just order one since we weren't that hungry anyways. We shared the Lookout bagel sandwich on a Garlic bagel. That sandwich contains turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato, and aioli inside. Even half of that sandwich was super filling for me because of how stuffed the sandwich was! Only thing I would change would be to add more sauce since the sandwich was a bit dry. I'd recommend this place! Everything here is made to order, so you know your sandwich will be fresh and you can choose what bagel you want. They also sell things like coffee and tea here too. Only thing I would change would be to add more sauce since the sandwich was a bit dry. Next time, I want to try the other menu items here, such as the Chicken Cotoletta that we were thinking of ordering instead.

Yelp
Bageletto is the kind of spot you stumble upon once and then find yourself dreaming about every weekend after. Their bagels strike a perfect balance -- crispy on the outside and packed with flavor on the inside. I tried the grilled chicken and the prosciutto cotto bagels, both of which were AMAZING in their own way. The hint of spice from the jalapeño and cheese bagel paired perfectly with the savory grilled chicken and pesto spread, while the savory prosciutto with the crunch and seasoning of the everything bagel made everything deliciously satisfying. Can't wait to come back and try more! Check out my ig: @deez_noms for more food reviews!

Yelp
I've only been one time, but I was really impressed with their bagel options. I love that they make all their bagels fresh and they come out so soft. I think they have a lot of good options for bagels, drinks and add ons. The service didn't feel particularly warm, but they were friendly enough. I saw a couple of the workers eating in the back since their kitchen is so open. It was easy to see-through. I definitely plan to come back and try more things on the menu.

Yelp
From a born & raised SF native, Bageletto has the best bagels in the city- no contest. Also lived in NYC for 4 years and these bagels are the truth. The Mattina Cotto is INCREDIBLE (def worth upgrading to a Calabrian Chili & Cheese bagel) and I cannot wait to try the chopped cheese. I've only ordered delivery and everything was still amazinggg. Can't wait to support them in person soon! 10/10 HIGHLY recommend, this place rules and I hope they stay in business forever :)
google avatar

Wendy S.

Yelp
This has become my top bagel spot in the city. Their bagels are delicious with lots of toppings and nice presentation if you order a bagel sandwich. My only complaints is that my order took awhile and they have no space to sit and enjoy your food and/or coffee.
google avatar

Yoona K.

Yelp
Classic Egg & Cheese on a toasted jalapeno cheese was a solid 7/10. Not NYC level good, but good for SF. However, the jalapeno cheese (got untoasted because I was told bagels are made fresh every morning) + calabrian chili schmear was very disappointing. The bagel itself was decently chewy and would come back to try another kind, but the $5 calabrian chili schmear was just salty. No spiciness, no subtle flavors of anything but just salty.
google avatar

K S.

Yelp
I've been here a few times. Bageletto has quality bagels and spread. I got my first breakfast sandwich ("classic egg and cheese") this morning. It's quite expensive at $11 and adding bacon is $3 extra. I took the plunge and ordered it with bacon. The photo they have online shows crispy bacon. My bacon wasn't crispy, which was disappointing. I also prefer a bit more bacon when I'm paying $15, before tip, for a cinnamon raisin (+$1) bagel with eggs, cheese, and bacon. I'll probably give it another chance one day but will specify crispy bacon.
google avatar

Kimberly A.

Yelp
This is a new bagel place in the area. It probably the best bagel I've ever had. I got the jalapeño cheese bagel with egg and cheese and added bacon for an extra 3 dollars. I would say that it's a bit of a treat since it's more expensive than other bagel places I've gone to. But worth the money I paid. The egg was fluffy and big. The bagel was surprisingly so filling. They did have two tables set outside so I ate there and it did not disappoint. Service was friendly and the guy brought my food and drink to the table outside. Overall so happy to have them in the area and will be enjoying their bagels when I'm craving a fresh fluffy bagel.

Yelp
Ok who else is on the hunt for the perf bagels? Look no more!! Always down to try a new bagel spot because they aren't all very accessible. First, they make all their bagels in-house AND you don't get a bagel butt!! They give 2 tops of the bagel. Perf amount of chewiness and sooo good! The bagels are hefty too so you won't leave hungry. They let you take a peep into the back where the bagels are made too. Cashier was really sweet and let me go behind the counter to take pics of the cute bagel display. Petite shop with a couple of 2 seater tables outside, but you can easily take bagels anywhere to eat. 10/10 recc to all the bagel lovers :)

Yelp
Dangerous new bagel spot close by! So happy I can walk here and will definitely be back for more. Tried the lox on a jalapeño cheddar bagel and my son got the blueberry bagel with cream cheese. The owner put out sliced up bagels and various cream cheeses for people to sample which I think is such a sweet gesture! That's why my son went with the strawberry cream cheese. I split the lox bagel with my partner and it was the perfect morning bite. I loved the lox toppings, everything was bright and offered all the various flavor pops and textures that make a lox bagel so good! The bagels are big and I'm happy to not break my jaw while chewing them (like wise sons )

Best bagel in the city that I've tried - chewy and soft. I think they're worth coming back for over and over despite their growing pains. It was their opening week--and with quite an ambitiously extensive menu--and it was clear they weren't expecting the amount of hype they got. Me and 50 other people who likely found them on Yelp or the SF Chronicle decided to come at 10-11 am on Sunday morning. Although there was a very short line to place the order and they were quoting 25-35 minute waits, it took just over an hour to get my bagels. Luckily I wasn't in a rush and didn't get my hopes up, seeing the number of people waiting for their bagels, but understand why folks were frustrated about the long wait. I will say they were extremely apologetic about the wait and were giving out a lot of free bagels, schmears, and coffee, which more than appeased me since we weren't in a rush anyway. My main qualm is that I'm 7 months pregnant and there were only two tables to sit at; I was able to snag one after about 50 minutes of waiting on my feet. As one might be able to predict, with this influx of business, they ran out of a few items. I believe they had most of their flavors of bagels still available, but they did run out of lox by the time we left around noon. I need to figure out what the best time to come to avoid a wait is! but at least on Sunday there are more parking spots available.

Yelp
Quick disclaimer - I grew up eating New Jersey bagels. I am a bagel snob. There will never be a pork roll, egg, and cheese bagel in California that tastes better than the ones there, and definitely not for as cheap. If you are like me and looking for a bagel to replicate the ones you had on the east coast, you will not find it in this state. That said. Bageletto is actually the best bagel I have had in California yet - it's really solid. It's $3 per (not that expensive tbh); besides having some classic flavors (plain, everything, cinna raisin, sesame, garlic, etc) they have a couple different ones - Calabrian chili was available (no salt or pumpernickel when I went.) They also have drinks (including coffee), some snacks (chips, cookies), and a lot of sandwich options. I just bought a half dozen to go, but the sandwiches look thick, and the bagels themselves are also pretty hefty - I think to support the thick sandwiches they make. The texture is actually pretty good on the inside - soft yet chewy. The flavor of my everything was also pretty good. My biggest critique is the crust is just not crunchy enough, but toasted you won't notice that as much. I saw the write-up about this place in the Chronicle - despite the owner claiming they're not trying to be a NYC bagel place, they actually make a pretty good stand-in until I'm back home.

Yelp
Had a stunning muffuletta bagel sandwich on sesame. Meaty, tangy, delicious. A+ The bakery is in the back and the bagels are insanely fresh. In fact, they don't even bring the bagels to the front of house. They're immediately taken from the back oven and straight to you when you order. FYI: Order to go. There isn't a lot of in-house seating yet.

Yelp
Outstanding bagels! Baked fresh. Cream cheese is fluffy, airy and full of flavor. Large variety of both bagel flavors and smears. Sweet and savory! This must be a go to spot that we will return to frequently and bring our friends too.

Yelp
Totally solid bagels. Nice chew. I got a bakers dozen for an office breakfast and everyone liked them. Two cream cheeses was not quite enough for that many bagels. I'm glad to be living in the hey day of Bay Area bagels. Excited to try some of their hot sandwiches.

Yelp
Great bagels, great coffee, and a vibrant atmosphere. I love getting myself a coffee and a delicious classic egg and cheese bagel while sitting in their outside chairs.

Yelp
Well that was delicious! I was in the neighborhood and popped in for a lunch sandwich. I got the Studio 54. The roast beef was so fresh and the bagel was divine.

Yelp
Cute storefront. Aesthetically pleasing. Friendly staff. But the bagels are Basic. Tasted no different than a store bought bagel! $18 for two bagels with cream cheese and capers... No offense. I Was excited to give them a try! But honestly the vegan cream cheese was so off putting and not at all tasty! Strange color and texture was not appetizing. The capers were the best part of my bagel! :/

Yelp
As a NYC native and raised on Ess-A-Bagels I wld say the bagel is fine. Not a NY bagel (but AFAIK they're not trying to be). Not much difference between this and Boichik, which people are crazy for but also are not quite NYC bagels in my mind since I was never an H&H fan. I ordered an everything bagel w scallion cream cheese and sausage, UNtoasted. $10 total. The bagel ($3) only had sesame seeds and onion (where are the poppy seeds, salt, and garlic??), so one knock. There also wasn't that much cream cheese on it, but cost $4, and I'm not usually someone who gripes about cost to quantity ratio. But let's be real, you can buy 3 POUNDS of cream cheese at costco for $10, so let's be a bit more generous w the spread if you're going to charge $4 for it, which btw I will point out was more than the bagel, so a second knock. Sausage was very nice (incongruously $3 since the cream cheese was $4). However, they toasted the bagel; I know - *GASP* - but they make a point of asking specifically whether To Toast or Not To Toast only to ignore what your preference is, so a third knock. So there is that. Not much of a line but it took them 20 minutes to make my bagel. Probably bc they were busy mistakenly toasting it :D I'm not mad about giving this place a try, but prob won't put it into rotation.

Yelp
Finally, a decent bagel shop in SF. Their bagels are pretty light, crispy, and airy. The concoctions they serve are pretty creative, so I'm excited to go back and try a few different types of bagels. In a city full of mediocre bagels, it's nice to finally have a reliable bagel shop I can go to!

Yelp
Excellent! Large and yummy bagels generously stuffed. The staff were nice and the ambience was very cool and trendy. They had a DJ playing and overall was a good experience. I would definitely go back

Yelp
Stop what you're doing and get to Bageletto asap! Just the right light and airy inside texture and a perfect chew on the outside. They coat the whole bagel, not just the top in whichever flavor you choose. This is not your average Bagel and shmear shop with its elevated menu that sets this place apart from others. The B.E.C is a solid go to for starters with delicious fluffy egg and juicy bacon. The special of the day nailed it for an Italian like myself. Thinly sliced mortadella, pistachio spread on a sesame bagel, topped with creamy burratta and crushed pistachios, FIRE!!! And the packaging was great for presentation. The owners must be real Paisan's pushing out high quality food made with love. Next time I'm going for the chopped cheese!

Yelp
Omg what a gem! This place was delicious and everything was so fresh. It's definitely a must try. The only thing is the wait is super long. After you place your order expect to wait a while for your order to come out.

Yelp
I was worried when two bagel sandwiches almost cost me $40 but they do NOT skimp on the egg! I am quite full and happy! We ordered for pick up and it was ready early. Only reason for 4 stars was it was a little oily and bland, so maybe order extra hot sauce/use condiments!! Will recalibrate and come back!

Yelp
Came here after reading about it in the Chronicle. Really appreciated the owners response about it being a fool's errand to try to recreate New York bagels with California water. So many make that claim and inevitably fall short. Instead, Bageletto has made a San Francisco bagel of its very own. I tried two types of bagels - the poppy and the everything. Because the bagels are made throughout the day, there's a freshness and fluffiness to these bagels that is usually reserved for the earliest morning crowd and yet, at the same time, the bagels are quite substantial. I smeared both bagels with their cultured butter (well worth the extra cost) and I can tell you the combination was one of the greatest simple epicurean pleasures I've had in years. Before you try a sandwich, I suggest you give this combo a whirl to best comprehend what a treasure this new establishment is! Highly recommend! Crossing my fingers they become a fixture!
