The 12 Best Sushi Spots In Denver

"If you genuinely enjoy hearing about which farm the spinach in your salad is from and how humanely your octopus was caught, you’ll love this sustainable sushi restaurant. Bamboo obsessively sources Marine Stewardship Council-certified fish in an effort to minimize their environmental impact and, you know, keep the earth spinning a little while longer. The Portland-based mini-chain opened on a popular LoHi stretch in 2017, and the creative sashimi and rolls (plus a killer wagyu burger) have been a hit ever since. Go for the Green Machine roll with tempura green beans and avocado, and always add salmon." - allyson reedy

Where to Eat in Denver’s LoHi Neighborhood | Eater Denver

"The Green Machine is the name of one of this Portland-based purveyor of certified sustainable sushi’s most popular rolls; it also applies to the restaurant itself, clean and serene from the vibe to the menu. Nigiri and sashimi handsomely prepared with yakumi, or toppings, include red crab with garlic butter and kanpachi with yuzu and truffle salt, while various maki get the gourmet treatment from ingredients like tempura-fried shishitos and shiso leaf, watercress and pickled mustard seed. For the seafood-averse, there’s also a banger of a wagyu cheeseburger." - Josie Sexton

16 Best Sushi Spots in Denver | Eater Denver

"After developing a following at Avanti F&B, the Portland-born Bamboo Sushi opened a brick-and-mortar sanctuary of serenity in the same neighborhood, whose alley entrance leads to a sleek L-shaped dining room flanked by a breezy deck overlooking LoHi’s rooftops. The certified-sustainable kitchen wears its transparency on its sleeve, or rather its website, with detailed sourcing information, some of which also appears on the menu. Though somewhat scaled down for reduced capacity, its greatest hits remain, including yuzu-drizzled scallop nigiri; the Green Machine roll with long-bean and scallion tempura, avocado, and cilantro–sweet chile aioli; and, admittedly off-theme, the sumptuous Wagyu cheeseburger with grilled shishitos." - Gigi Sukin

Delicious food, great location and attentive service. We went for a special occasion. Easy to get and modify the reservation makes everything super convenient. The food and sake selections were great. The nigiri was super fresh, sushi rolls was delicious. The vegetarian roll was surprisingly good. I’d go back and recommend to try.

I am sort of mad that I live so close to this place and have never been over the years. Embarrassing, but better late than never. LOVE the setup. Great bar area with cool booths behind it. It then opens up into the sushi bar and plenty of indoor seating, which then opens up to a nice patio. We went there for happy hour at the bar, and the food was awesome and the deals were great. $6 Sapporo, $6 hot sake (for a larger container), $9 catch of the day (kama that day) $10 salmon tartare, and $9 for two hand rolls. We also had the crispy rice, and seconds of the hand rolls. For the fellow sports fans, go there for the food, but know that they had one bar tv and it was on sports. Chill music, and it strikes me as a fantastic date place. Nick was our bartender, he was helping out everywhere else too, and it was flawless service. You can definitely tell it is a true team work environment though. The catch of the day was delicious by itself, but some genius in the kitchen also figured out that eating the accompanying salad WITH the fish provided the perfect flavor. It was a well thought out plate. All of the food presentations were great, and the bar top was clean and organized, which makes us ex-bartenders extremely happy. Also, this place is in a really cool area to walk and explore after your drink and meal. Final bonus. They are on the Inkind app, which I hope you are already on. I definitely recommend this place, wherever you choose to sit, and see you there...

Love that everything is gluten free! The atmosphere of the restaurant is also incredible. Staff were lovely! This should be everyone’s go to spot!

Google
This is our favorite date spot of all time. Happy hour is also amazing. The sushi is fresh and delicious and every server we’ve had has been wonderful. It’s also celiac friendly which is a huge perk! Totally worth the price because of the atmosphere and food quality! I think about the rainbow roll at least once a week. Thank you, Bamboo!

Google
Good sushi isn’t hard to find in Denver, but GREAT sushi can be. This place fits at the top of the list with their amazing selection of rolls. All the rolls we had tasted fresh and were dressed up to pull out nuanced flavors. We ended the meal with fresh Uni, which is the best I’ve had. Harder to find than great sushi is truly fresh Uni tasting of the salty ocean.

Went last night 3 of us for dinner. They have happy hour throughout restaurant and it is from 4-6. I decided not to drink but others had beer. We each ordered a happy hour appetizer and then we ordered the chef special dinner for 2-4 people for $115. It was all very good and my favorites were the poke, ceviche and lots of the big meal. They have a patio outback but it was raining so we are indoors. Our server was professional and very energetic. She gave us great service. I would eat here again and really enjoyed our dinner!

Let me preface this review by saying I don’t eat seafood. Don’t get me wrong I love sushi… but I only eat vegetarian sushi so if that makes me lose all credibility in your eyes you can stop reading now. Still with me? Okay good! Now let me start by saying for my vegetarians out there, they have one of the largest selections of vegetarian menu options I have seen at a sushi restaurant. Seriously they get a 10/10 for that! My sister and I tried this place on a whim and were so pleasantly surprised. You can see everything we order pictured below. We arrived around 6pm on a Tuesday and were sat and greeted immediately by our lovely server and because we were in a bit of a hurry we ordered right away. The food was brought out as it was ready— which we loved! and timed perfectly. Loved the vibe of this location as well. Now for the food. Get the spicy edamame. It was some of the absolute best I’ve ever had! You can’t tell by the picture but there was chili oil in the bottom of the bowl and once you mixed it all together it became perfection. The avocado nigiri was exquisite as well. Okay and don’t even get me started on the tempura cauliflower… like WOW. Incredible. Amazing. Give me 14 of em right now. …..now onto the things we didn’t ~love~ the smashed avocado crispy rice was good! A little cold and chewy and kind of reminded me of avocado toast but not a total bust, just probably not the dish for me, no big deal! BUT the real villain of the evening was the green machine roll. Don’t be fooled by the enticing description on the menu. It was foul. And I mean look at it, it looks as if my cat threw up on it. Absolutely no hate to the people who like this roll but it made us gag. It was so putrid I’m having a hard time putting it into words. I think the roll without the sauce would have actually been perfect but the sauce on top was oddly sweet and earthy but not the good kind of earthy, the kind of earthy where your dog just took a steamy hot pile of caca and then it rained. That kind of earthy. Other than that one tiny thing… everything else was incredible!! 5 stars!! Totally go here! Just steer clear of the green machine roll. I wouldn’t even give it to my worst enemy

Google
What an amazing meal! The atmosphere was very urban chic with decor that was very modern and very lively music for a Friday-in-the-city vibe. The sushi was very exquisite! Every roll was carefully crafted with fresh herbs and flavors, such as apple, that I have never seen in rolls that elevated the roll. We need up getting a curated board that spread the gammet of rolls, sashimi, and nigiri. Everything tasted fresh and had no fishy taste. Highly recommend.

Yelp
I'm going to start by saying I'm a complete sushi snob. This place was a delight. I boldly ordered the Nigiri not expecting much (I'm sorry land locked state) and I was beyond impressed. The fish was fresh, it melted in my mouth... it was everything you'd hope nigiri would taste like. The fact that nearly everything on the menu was gluten free was another pleasant surprise (this is surprisingly a big ask whilst eating sushi around Denver) We ordered three additional rolls along with some cocktails. We were overall very happy with the entire experience. Service was great, food was delicious, outdoor seating was wonderful... overall highly recommend

Yelp
It was a terrible evening to be in Denver downtown because of the big concert going on there and even though Bamboo shoot is farther away from the action, finding a parking spot there was next to impossible. We probably drove around in circles for half an hour before we found a spot. It worked out that we had driven over early, else we would have been late for our reservation. So just be mindful of the parking situation around Bamboo shoot. We got seated soon and greeted by our server. She took our order of drinks. However the drinks took a while to come to our table. To their end, they were quite busy. I had the Kindred spirit for my drink and it was enjoyable and unique. There was a faint hint of the lychee and am not sure how the toasted rice adds to the drink..nonetheless very tasty. It can get very loud in there or maybe it was that day because of how busy they were. For our sushi, we ordered multiple rolls - Unicorn, Bamboo dragon, Garden of eden, Hoki poke box and Fry tide. They are all on the pricey side but I think at par with Denver pricing. The rollss were all well made - as in the rolls held up and the fish was fresh and each kind was tasty. But our favorite was the Hoki Poke box. We wanted to order dessert but our server seemed to have vanished and never came by to check on us. Eventually we had to flag another server to help us out. She got our order of Matcha pana cotta for dessert and handed us the check with an apology. She even comp'ed the dessert because we had been waiting for so long. The pana cotta was delicious and at a perfect sweetness level. If not for the unnecessary wait post dinner, this would have been a great experience for us.

Yelp
We ordered this for the second time this week for delivery - the green machine roll with salmon is drool worthy!

Yelp
Good vibe here, they have a nice terrace. My roasted mushroom appetizer was very tasty, the vegetable roll was just average. My friend said her sashimi was very good.

Yelp
It's been a long time since I've been to Bamboo Sushi and I wondered why I haven't written a review! Some details may be a bit fuzzy but I do remember how I felt that cold December night and how there were a good amount of people there when we showed up. The first thing I always remember is how the restaurant's environment made me feel and how we were treated. The interior felt traditional yet modern to many izakayas found in Japan. Waitstaff was certainly top notch and it was such a joy to be welcomed to dine. The next things on the list are food. I remember the chicken karaage-like bao. didn't care for the mint all too much but the rest of the dish was good. We also tried some Asian-Fusion type rolls that also did really well. Even the traditional nigiri was cut masterfully and tasted great! Have a look at the pictures for a better idea of what they offer. A return trip is long overdue and I'm glad reminiscing with old photos led me back to Yelp. time to get on the ball and plan the next reservation!

Yelp
We decided to visit this place after looking through some of the options on Yelp, and we were not disappointed. We were greeted by a very nice host and got seated. They place has a nice atmosphere (patio seating available) and looks very clean. Our server Jorge was awesome. We asked for recommendations, and he gave us some really good ones. To drink I went for their version of the Old Fashion. To eat I had some miso soup (delicious), and and avocado and cucumber roll, and for dessert a super delicious matcha pana cotta. We had a great time here, the service was phenomenal, and the food was lovely. Wish it was closer to Colorado Springs.

Yelp
Update that bamboo had a new happy hour menu, set plates, and more. I'm a little disappointed with what moved off of the happy hour but the Setto plate was great to share with 3! As always service is amazing and we are glad to have bamboo local in Denver!

Yelp
This place is among my top 5s in Denver! Brought a few out of town vegetarian friends here for dinner and the green machine was the highlight of our dinner. We ordered 3 of these! Veggie tempura was pretty good and so crispy yet not oily! The matcha panna cotta here is a great dessert and never disappoints! Service has always been so great out here.

Yelp
Indulging in fresh, delectable fish and sushi made our evening truly delightful. We were enchanted by the romantic ambiance and impressed by the attentive service throughout our dining experience. The unique rolls offered a tantalizing journey for our taste buds, making every bite a genuine treat. I would recommend trying the Friday the 13th roll with spicy salmon and the fry tide roll with spicy tuna for an extra flavor-packed experience! Go to Bamboo Sushi LoHi for a memorable dining experience.

Yelp
We came here to celebrate our anniversary and it was delicious! Great service and great food recommendations from our server as well. All the food was great - we wanted to try everything!
google avatar

Perry B.

Yelp
A beautiful restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. The service overall was great with a few kinks. We started with gomae - blanched spinach, sesame-soy dressing and ordered the Tomodachi platter that could serve 4-6 people, but we ate it all with just 3 and weren't stuffed. It included several hosomaki rolls (tuna, salmon, negihama), sashimi, nigiri, spicy tuna crispy rice, green machine roll, sunset roll, and garden of Eden. Overall the food was fresh and the mocktails were delicious. I ended my meal with green tea. During the end of the meal soy sauce was spilled by the waiter at a table next to me and it got all over the shoes and ankles. It went unacknowledged until I stated cleaning my leg the napkin. Otherwise the experience would've been 5 stars.

Yelp
Always love Bamboo! Tried some new rolls that sounded a little crazier than I'm used to (based on server rec) and they were KILLER.
google avatar

Yelp
Great patio space for nice days. We went on Sunday later in the afternoon and there were plenty of open tables. We enjoyed fresh fish and a flavorful roll. I drank an iced and my husband got the margarita. My only complaint was that the margarita seemed small due to the glass being filled up just halfway. The restaurant is in a fantastic area! Definitely recommend visiting to eat/drink.

Yelp
Bamboo, I love you! You make me happy. I'd go everyday if I could. Everything I've tried on their menu has been outstanding. I love the green machine (add salmon), garden of Eden, and the full circle rolls. Their nigiri is so good and fresh especially the king salmon. The crispy rice is unique and delicious! The cocktails are wonderful and they have a large selection of sake. Highly recommend doing the group tasting menu option.. it is a really great value! We've gone on date nights, gotten take out, and taken friends and every time everything is consistently great!
google avatar

Kelly O.

Yelp
This is a strong statement, but, this may be the best place for raw fish in Denver. The flavor pairings are out of this world- king salmon with orange, olive oil and lemon zest- incredible. The spicy tuna crispy rice is a must. And otherwise I would just order the chefs set menu for how many you have in your party and let the night unfold.
google avatar

Melissa S.

Yelp
Delicious food! Loved their rolls and crispy rice. The fish tasted really fresh and the rolls were very creative. I sat outside on the patio, which had nice ambiance (though you could hear music blasting from one of the neighboring restaurants, that's not bamboo sushi's fault). Great local sushi place to hit.
google avatar

Sarah G.

Yelp
We were looking for somewhere to enjoy dinner on Friday night and were craving sushi, so we decided to check out Bamboo in LoHi. When we first arrived, they said the only seating they had was at the bar or at the sushi bar, so we chose the sushi bar. All of the staff was very friendly. We were immediately greeted and asked if we had any restrictions or allergies the waitress should know of. After a few minutes, they told us they had a table outside if we wanted to move out there. I'm glad we did, because the patio was beautiful. They had misters going to keep your cool, and the landscaping gives the place a jungle oasis feel. After looking through the menu, we settled on the Full Circle and the Shrimp Tempura. The Shrimp Tempura was pretty basic, though still delicious. The shrimp was perfectly crisp and the fillings were generous. The Full Circle sounded a bit adventurous with watercress, fried green onion, and a ginger citrus dressing, and we really enjoyed it. The flavors were well balanced, and the crunchy onions really added a nice texture to the roll. We will definitely be adding this place to our restaurant rotation!
google avatar

Abbey L.

Yelp
Came here for Valentine's Day and it did not disappoint! The waitress was very versed in the menu and attentive. I had come in with some recommendations so that helped me choose from their extensive menu. You MUST get one of the crispy rices, it is perfectly crunchy yet flavorful (we had the spicy tuna). Then shared two types of sashimi both recommended by the waitress which were amazing! The green machine is one of the classics and now I know why. Not one I would normally gravitate towards as I love fish but added salmon and just amazing!
google avatar

Melissa Z.

Yelp
Sat at the bar so not a full restaurant experience review, but was excited to try Bamboo since I have heard great things. My friend and I weren't super hungry but we got one roll each with some miso soup and a drink. The sushi was good. I think it was a little overpriced but I think sushi prices are all skyrocketing. Miso soup of course was yummy on a cold night. I will definitely be back to try some more menu items.
google avatar

Gina K.

Yelp
Went to Bamoo Sushi for a date night during the week. It was easy to get in, not busy at all. I ordered a delicious cocktail made with yuzu (a favorite of mine after visiting Japan). We ordered shishito peppers as an appetizer and an assortment of nigiri. The salmon was the best and very comparable in freshness to the best sushi restaurant I have ever been to which is in Chicago. Since moving to Denver we haven't found a Japanese restaurant comparable to our favorite in both price and quality. The price was about average for what sushi costs in Denver. The location is great and staff were super friendly and helpful in answering our questions. They even checked about allergies before we ordered. We will be back for nigiri and cocktails.
google avatar

Bri P.

Yelp
The food was not worth the price, unfortunately. The rice was not crispy on the crispy salmon rice, the California roll had old rice that seemed refrigerated overnight, and the sashimi slices were much too large. Though the portions were generous on the sashimi, the way they were cut and size took away from the food experience. It felt like chunks of meat rather than professional cut slices. Moreover, the menu selection was smaller than I expected. The atmosphere is nice and clean and the waitress staff were nice. For example, we received a free dessert as a celebration treat. However, for the price there are places I'd prefer to dine in downtown. Sushi quality, from the fish to the rice is very important, for Japanese cuisine.

Yelp
Favorite Sushi spot in Denver. A girlfriend introduced me to Bamboo and it did not disappoint. One time we had a reservation the other time we didn't. Depends on the day if you should make a reservation or not. Everyone that works here has been extremely pleasant and the ambiance is open and clean. The menu has a good variety of options. My favorite were the Crispy Rice Spicy Tuna, cucumber dish, Albacore Crispy Onion and the cauliflower. I come from the west coast where I know the sushi is fresh and I have been spoiled with some of restaurants out there. I enjoyed this place so much and felt the fish was so fresh that it could rival some of my "go to" spots in LA. The only reason I took one star off was because of the inconsistency with the size of the cut. I ordered the Albacore Crispy Onion twice and the first time the cuts were nice and thin, the second time I ordered it the cuts were very thick and less appealing. Overall strong 4/5 I really enjoyed Bamboo and plan on coming back whenever I have a sushi craving!

Yelp
Had seen this place on some youtube show "best sushi in Denver". i really wanted to love this place, but just liked it. For someone coming from Boulder, I wouldn't make the special trip, however if i lived in the neighborhood i would come more often. The sushi was fine, but nothing was really amazing. My biggest complaint came from the rice - it wasn't prepared perfectly (the texture was a bit off; felt like perhaps i got the dregs from lunch since we showed up for happy hour). the happy bar menu was decent, with the exception of the cauliflower not being hot and the hand rolls being really weird (huge amounts of tuna that looked like it had been put through a blender and just wasnt' that great). got the expensive sashimi appetizer - decent. The special roll was actually pretty good. the fish, in general, was just OK. it wasn't bad, but wasn't amazing. I would consider this more of a "solid sushi joint in colorado" vs "an exceptional sushi establishment". I likely won't return.

Ryan S.

Yelp
So many gluten free options, especially ones that typically I can't eat at a sushi bar / Japanese restaurant. They clearly care about allergens and the rolls and crispy rice dish were delicious. The brownie was good and lovely to have as a gluten free dessert but was nothing too special. Lovely solo dining experience!

Jeremy S.

Yelp
This place is some of the best sushi I've ever had! I've been to uchi, sushi den etc, this is up there with those. Kelce was bartending, probably the best service I've had in 5 years. Great job, even better personality. What a gem of a spot. Also. It's in an alley! I grew up alleys in Chicago, so this place makes me feel comfortable, lol. Def come here people, you're missing out if you haven't. #newspot4eva

Yelp
This salmon was a must try!! What I liked most is that you could really taste the quality and the flavor was fantastic. I only got to try a small bite at the event, but already on my list to go back and try more!!

Yelp
We doordashed bamboo sushi and each roll was AMAZING. Our favorite was the spicy tuna with crispy rice roll!!! So simple but perfect if you enjoy crispy rice. We want to try all their crispy rolls after this

Rebecca G.

Yelp
The sushi tested fresh. The flavors all blended together well. You can't beat the happy hour prices especially in this area. Our server was quick and friendly. We sat in an indoor/outdoor spot which was nice because the weather gave us a nice breeze. The only thing is that this spot did not have eel. Which they said they used to, but that the owner couldn't find sustainable imports so they took it off the menu (I respect that).
google avatar

Christopher B.

Yelp
The sushi options here were a bit more creative than I am normally used to so I went on a limb and chose Garden of Eden and Sunset. The latter was really good and packed with flavor. I thought the GOE was interesting and I was curious how the apple would factor into everything but, in the end, I didn't find it as good as I hoped it would be. Don't get me wrong - I am happy I tried it - sometimes the dishes we try just aren't quite to our liking or preferences. It doesn't mean it was bad in any way.

Yelp
Good food, good ambience, slow service, it's not customer oriented. My husband ordered a Wagyu Burger with an extra egg. It came without the egg. The server didn't check us after 15 min, so we had to grab another waitress to notified that. We had to wait another 20 min just for the egg. So my husband's burger was cold when the egg came. She apologized but still charged for the egg even tho we have to wait for an extra 20 min till the burger was cold. Not a good customer service. Won't be back

Yelp
Went in on a Friday night with my partner. I had made a reservation earlier in the week, but was warned by the host once I came in on time that our allotted time at the table was only an hour and a half. I understood the reasoning for the heads up, but typically I feel like that's on the shorter end for a table- not closer to 2 hours? Other than that, service was great. Our server, Kate, was very attentive and consistently checked in on us. We had one hiccup in our food when it arrived with an ingredient we had asked to leave off, but after waiting for a little bit, Kate got a new one sent to us on the fly and completely comped it off our bill. Food was otherwise delicious- they were offering the restaurant week special at the time, but we found more value and better choices in just ordering a la carte. Fresh wasabi was A+. Overall would definitely go again, thanks Kate!

Yelp
Lots of seating inside and on the patio, very beautiful. The patio has misters. The green machine sauce tasted a little more punchy than last time- I miss some of the more subtle flavors they used to have there, but it was still great. The staff are always so kind, and especially when I went this last time since I had a wasp try to dive bomb my food. They helped move me to a new location. I drink tons of water so appreciate the water carafe and that even though staff is attentive they aren't breathing down your neck while you eat. The area has very bougie hipster gentrification vibes and the parking is difficult to find (street parking in a hopping neighborhood) which is annoying, but it's worth the walk if you have to park far away. Happy hour sushi deals and still the best sushi I've ever eaten in my life. This place also prioritizes sustainability down to the type of TP they stock the bathroom with, has wonderfully creative vegetarian and vegan options compared to most sushi places. Enjoy!

Yelp
Forgot to take pictures of the sushi, but THE BEST I have had in Denver! This was such a great place. We had the unicorn and sunset rolls. Both were great! Waitress recommend and never looked back.

The bartender looks like Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) from Twilight...a major plus for this place, I'd say. Very good sushi, as well.

Yelp
Ordered take out and everything was so delicious. Our new go to spot for sushi in Denver. Can't wait to order again. Our favorites were Green Machine Roll, Green Machine with salmon, Ora King Salmon, Garden of Eden roll and the crispy rice with spicy tuna.

Yelp
Spectacular. The crispy rice was perfect despite us ordering take out and waiting to eat it when we got home. The signature rolls were unique with exciting flavor combinations. We tried the Hawaii kanpachi sashimi, garden of Eden roll, and the unicorn roll. The garden of Eden roll had thinly sliced green apples, was topped with mustard seeds, and may have been the best sushi roll I've ever tried. Heads up if you order take out- you need to request soy sauce as part of your take out menu. It is not provided automatically. Update; the fried crispy rice was so good we immediately placed a second order via delivery.

Yelp
The sushi at this restaurant is phenomenal. The sashimi and nigiri were extremely fresh. The ambiance at this restaurant is great, and the service makes me want to return asap. I really liked this restaurant, and now it's one of my favorite sushi spots in Denver.

Yelp
First off, I love the concept behind Bamboo Sushi with their focus on sustainability throughout their restaurants! Very cool! In regards to actual dining experience I have to say everything we ate was very very good, but a lot of it was a bit out of the ordinary. So even though the food was all delish I wouldn't say I could make this my regular sushi spot. But definitely great for special occasions! Sadly, the hot sake machine was broken when we were in but their house cold sake was pretty good, and reasonably priced for a carafe! To start we ordered the spicy tuna crispy rice and although the flavors were so yummy, the crispy rice was a little hard to chew. For main we ordered the sunset roll which was our absolute fav, a must try when you're here! The rainbow roll was a little mayo-y in my opinion but overall yummy. Last we got the garden of Eden roll which included apple and mustard seed, definitely a bit out there but was so fresh and tasty!! We also got some Nagiri which was so fresh and unique, we were blown away. We got the Kanpachi which came recommended from our waitress and was sooooo yummy. We also got the albacore which came with a jalapeño dressing and was super tasty, finally we got the scallops which I did not partake in but heard was delicious and fresh as well. Overall amazing experience even with some hiccups along the way. Everything was so fresh tasting and unique! We will definitely be back.

Yelp
Tried this sushi restaurant on a whim and was really impressed. The food was wonderfully presented and delicious too! The space is beautiful and welcoming. I wish I could remember our server's name because she was absolutely delightful. Hands down, the best post-pandemic service! She was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu and attentive. We'll definitely go back!

Yelp
The portions were extremely small... probably the smallest sushi rolls I've ever had AND they were pricey. The sushi rice kept falling apart. Didn't come back here. :/ I would only come back for the green sauce - that was amazing.

Yelp
Came here for the first time tonight. I am by no means a sushi connoisseur, but I could tell that the food here is fresh! From the crab, to the tempura, you can tell they are using the real stuff! They have lots of specialty rolls as well as classics as well. I was hoping for some more appetizer options, but the spicy edamame did not disappoint. The atmosphere is cool and they have a great interior design. There is a ton of space and even a large outdoor patio as well. The service was wonderful. Small suggestion would be to keep a glass water pitcher at the table, or have larger glasses for water, because it was somewhat interruptive to have the server continuously filling the water throughout the meal. Overall Bamboo Sushi is a great spot with lots of yummy options! I love the fresh fish and sustainability.

Yelp
Bamboo Sushi was a delicious spot to get some great rolls for a double date night! Both myself and the wife of the other couple have been pregnant, so sushi was top on our list for where to go for date night. I can't remember now what all we got (mom brain) but everything was fresh and tasty! We really enjoyed the sashimi, spicy edamame, and Sunset Roll from what I can remember. The restaurant is very pretty but we enjoyed the beautiful evening on their great outdoor patio. Service is great, sushi is fresh, and the company was awesome... what more can you ask for?

Yelp
I was craving sushi and came across this spot. I got the Friday the 13th, Green Machine w/salmon and miso soup. Everything was great! I don't have any complaints. I'm originally from Cali and I've tried a few sushi spots since living here and this spot is now in my top 3. To be honest there are a lot of hella mid sushi spots in Denver. So if you're looking for a spot where you won't be disappointed come here!

Yelp
Incredibly overrated. Table wasn't ready in time for our reservation and then we were pressured to sit at the bar since we'd have less time to eat at our table in the reserved time slot. Bold move. We had the Denver Restaurant Week menu. While the amuse and the green monster roll were incredible, the rest of the courses were so disappointing that they offset them. The salad was laughably bland. The cod was unnecessarily citrusy. There was even a piece of plastic wrap in my brownie, which was too dense and dry. Not worth the price. Might not be worth half the price. Bartender did an amazing job though and was extremely attentive the whole evening.

Yelp
Sushi was fresh and well prepared... Service was great and everyone had a great attitude. Definitely great sushi for Denver Colorado Yelpers. I will be a return customer during my stay here. Great Job Bamboo Sushi...

Yelp
Food, service, drinks and atmosphere were all wonderful. A little tough to find -- front door located on a narrow alley. Between that and the neighborhood's difficult parking, leave some extra time. Will definitely be back!
