The Best London Restaurants For A £50 Dinner - London - The Infatuation

"You’ve matched with someone who appears to be funny, successful, and has a mutual love of Peep Show memes. You need to go on a date with them quick, before the rest of London realises they exist. Time for a trip to Bar Tozino. This spot on Maltby Street is one of those great little places that feels like it was specifically designed for date night. The tapas dishes are perfectly sized for two. The wine comes with little explanations to make you look smart. And the lighting is low to make you look, you know… better. Go for a romantic stroll over Tower Bridge afterwards. We hear walking is still free.  " - Heidi Lauth Beasley, Jake Oliver

London’s Best Spanish Restaurants | Where to Eat Tapas Outside in London | Eater London

"This bar, located under the arches on Maltby Street, is perhaps the most dedicated London purveyor of jamón ibérico de bellota. Vintage and provenance are the focus of the cured meat, which is everywhere, hanging from the ceiling. Every plate is carved to order, and lingering on the terrace outside the arch is encouraged." - George Reynolds

Bermondsey’s Best Restaurants, at Maltby Street Market and Spa Terminus | Eater London

"There are two famous hams on this stretch: one is glazed, pink and served with mustard at 40 Maltby Street — the other is Bar Tozino’s jamón. Tozino is an unassuming little space, but inside this wooden den, often awash with Maltby Street revellers, the staff are fiercely proud of their hams. Tapas is fine, but diners are really here for a plate of the Jamón Bellota — acorn-fed, black-footed Iberian pig, cured and carved to order, served with Snapery baguette and had with a fino sherry. Perfect interim eating." - Virginia Hartley

Where to Eat in London This Weekend | Eater London

"Housed under the Maltby Street arches by Lassco Ropewalk, this bar is arguably London's most dedicated purveyor of jamón ibérico de bellota: cured legs hang from the ceiling and every plate is carved to order with an emphasis on vintage and provenance. It’s a focused, high-quality cured-meat pit stop and a recommended stop on Maltby Street’s Saturday food-market circuit." - James Hansen

What a fantastic little spot! Bar Tozino is as authentic as it gets – a proper Spanish gem tucked away with real charm. The Jamon Ibérico is on another level – rich, melt-in-your-mouth, and sliced to perfection. You can tell they really know their craft. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, adding to the warm, relaxed atmosphere. They’ve even opened up a space upstairs now, which makes it even better for groups or a cosy evening with friends. I’ll definitely be coming back - for the jamon, the vibe, and that unmistakable Spanish feel you can’t fake.

Delicious tapas options with a very friendly and welcoming service! We were lucky to get a table for two without booking on a Sunday afternoon. It was great to see natural wine options in the bar list. Our favourite meals were artichokes and cured tuna, but everything else was also great! Prices also seemed fair. Would love to come again if in this area.

Always love coming here! Laid back vibes. Good selection of tapas. I do wish there was more menu rotation but love the little wine tasters they bring you to try. Would recommend for a nice summer night.

This Spanish tapas spot is a must-visit. Every dish feels like a love letter to authentic Spanish flavours — perfectly seasoned, beautifully presented, and full of soul. The atmosphere is vibrant but still cosy, making it the perfect place to unwind with friends or enjoy a date night. The staff are warm, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about what they do. You can tell they care about quality, not just in the food but in the entire experience.

Delightful authentic Spanish restaurant underneath the railway arches. We were sat right by the window so we could look out onto the hustle and bustle of the food market. The food was delicious and the wine was divine! Staff were lovely, especially the gentleman that may have been the owner or manager. Really great experience and would definitely recommend!

Perfect for wine and tapas, has a special meaning for us as this was a stop during our first date. It might get a bit pricey but if you want to indulge and have a delicious snack/meal it is totally worth it.

Came here for the third time. The best tapas in London. Reasonable prices, bold flavours, quick and kind service. I love the atmosphere as well. Special highlight to its Basque cheesecake. I'll try to take pictures next time, but the reality is: when the food comes, I can't wait to eat it!
