The Best London Restaurants For A £50 Dinner - London - The Infatuation

"You’ve matched with someone who appears to be funny, successful, and has a mutual love of Peep Show memes. You need to go on a date with them quick, before the rest of London realises they exist. Time for a trip to Bar Tozino. This spot on Maltby Street is one of those great little places that feels like it was specifically designed for date night. The tapas dishes are perfectly sized for two. The wine comes with little explanations to make you look smart. And the lighting is low to make you look, you know… better. Go for a romantic stroll over Tower Bridge afterwards. We hear walking is still free.  " - Heidi Lauth Beasley, Jake Oliver

London’s Best Spanish Restaurants | Where to Eat Tapas Outside in London | Eater London

"This bar, located under the arches on Maltby Street, is perhaps the most dedicated London purveyor of jamón ibérico de bellota. Vintage and provenance are the focus of the cured meat, which is everywhere, hanging from the ceiling. Every plate is carved to order, and lingering on the terrace outside the arch is encouraged." - George Reynolds

Bermondsey’s Best Restaurants, at Maltby Street Market and Spa Terminus | Eater London

"There are two famous hams on this stretch: one is glazed, pink and served with mustard at 40 Maltby Street — the other is Bar Tozino’s jamón. Tozino is an unassuming little space, but inside this wooden den, often awash with Maltby Street revellers, the staff are fiercely proud of their hams. Tapas is fine, but diners are really here for a plate of the Jamón Bellota — acorn-fed, black-footed Iberian pig, cured and carved to order, served with Snapery baguette and had with a fino sherry. Perfect interim eating." - Virginia Hartley

Delicious tapas options with a very friendly and welcoming service! We were lucky to get a table for two without booking on a Sunday afternoon. It was great to see natural wine options in the bar list. Our favourite meals were artichokes and cured tuna, but everything else was also great! Prices also seemed fair. Would love to come again if in this area.

Always love coming here! Laid back vibes. Good selection of tapas. I do wish there was more menu rotation but love the little wine tasters they bring you to try. Would recommend for a nice summer night.

Great little tapas restaurant bar tucked away on Maltby Street. Beautiful wine menu with some great riojas. The Jamón Bellota was exceptional! A rustic, old-world interior adds to the experience!

Perfect for wine and tapas, has a special meaning for us as this was a stop during our first date. It might get a bit pricey but if you want to indulge and have a delicious snack/meal it is totally worth it.

Amazing Spanish place in London. Decent jamón and tapas, were all tasty. I struggled a little bit with the menu, but I found what I wanted by asking. A bit pricey but would definitely go back next time.

Great food, wine, friendly staff, ‘rustic’ atmosphere (if in an archway under a train line can be called that :). Really enjoyed and drinking here. There are a few lovely tapas places in this area, and I’m glad to add this to the list!

The wine and food here feels so quintessentially Spanish - everything was such great quality and the portions were generous too. We especially loved the olives, baked sheep's cheese, and the artichokes were incredible! The house red wine is really delicious too, and the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and so attentive. Probably one of my top tapas experiences outside of Spain, and I'm already planning to visit again!

Everything is outstanding - delicious food, top service and amazing wines. Every dish on the menu was great - the pan con tomate, the sheep’s cheese, the octopus and the mussels were particularly notable. We had the wine of the week (a Tempranillo) and it was so good! The servers were attentive and helpful. Will definitely be back!
