The 18 Best Restaurants in Louisville, Kentucky | Eater

"Set at the bottom of the AC Hotel by Marriott in NuLu, Bar Vetti is known for executive chef and partner Andrew McCabe’s pasta and pizza. Order one of seven pies on the menu, but be sure to add a cup of spicy Calabrian aioli on the side for dipping. End the night with a cocktail or espresso, or try one of four desserts with a recommended amaro pairing. The chocolate budino with orange caramel, extra virgin olive oil, sea salt, pecans, and whipped cream is a highlight. Know before you go: Bar Vetti also offers liquor for retail sale. Guests can order single-barrel bourbon selections online and pick them up in the restaurant." - Lennie Omalza

Where to Order Manhattans in Louisville This February | Eater

"Located on the bottom floor of the AC Hotel by Marriott in NuLu, bar Vetti serves up gourmet pizzas and pasta dishes, as well as a variety of delectable desserts and drinks. Its house Manhattan, known as Tommy’s Never Right, features the restaurant’s Angel’s Envy house barrel pick, “Ninja Kitten,” and is crafted with a mint port wine syrup, campari, amaro, and Calabrian pepper-infused bitters, then is garnished with mint. The campari has been barrel aging in house, and the restaurant’s Angel’s Envy barrel pick was hand selected by the bar Vetti team at the distillery, which is just down the street. For those that enjoy the single barrel Angel’s Envy, there are also bottles available for retail sale." - Vox Creative

Bar Vetti has a beautiful atmosphere and great service - welcoming, attentive, and polished. I visited for the prix fixe lunch menu and was excited to try a variety of dishes. The burrata was the star of the meal - fresh, creamy, and perfectly balanced. Drinks were also delicious and well-crafted. As for the lunch selections: • The mushroom soup didn’t quite deliver on mushroom flavour. • The wedge Caesar salad was fine, but nothing particularly memorable. • The country ham and strawberry flatbread had a nice flavour combination, but the dough was too thick for my taste. • The lobster pasta was good, but I found myself wishing I’d gone with the cacio e pepe instead. • Dessert was a high point—the tiramisu gelato was absolutely fantastic, and the chocolate dessert rounded things out beautifully. Overall, Bar Vetti is a lovely spot with standout elements. With a few tweaks to the menu, it could easily go from good to exceptional. Would definitely return for the drinks, burrata, and desserts!

This is by far my favorite Italian restaurant in Louisville. They have the best Caesar salad in the city, as well as their orecchiette dish that lays on a bed of fresh ricotta. The bucatini dish is my husband's favorite with the shredded beef sugo. The pasta is made in-house with perfect texture. Their Tiramisu Gelato is creamy and filling. Their spicy panna cotta was light and refreshing. Service is always amazing. My husband recently surprised me for my birthday by taking me here and it did not disappoint.

SO happy I FINALLY made it here…it’s been on my list for a while! Hap, the General Manager couldn't have been more gracious and welcoming and bartenders Jacob and Zach are the BOMB! 📸✨: Beets & Ricotta Salad ~ Citrus-marinated beets, buttermilk ricotta, pistachio, mint. Added the albacore tuna salad… Selected on Jacob's recommendation...OUTSTANDING!! Especially on a sweltering June day! My compliments to the chef! 🤌🏼✨❤️

I went here for brunch after wanting to try it for a while. The atmosphere and environment were cute. The service was sub par, our waitress did not keep up with refills and barely spoke to us the whole time. She delivered our food to our table without saying a word, not asking if it loooked ok or if we needed anything else, and every time I needed a coffee refill it took at least 5 minutes. I got the breakfast plate with sausage and grits. As you can see in the photo, the scrambled eggs looked as if they were sitting out for a bit before getting delivered to the table, and were luke warm. The focaccia came with no butter or jam, and when finally got attention from our server to ask, she took over five minutes to bring some to me. (I personally don’t like dry toast with scrambled eggs, and there was no option to get over easy). The sausage was spicy, but good, and the grits were creamy but lacked flavor. The scrambled eggs had good texture but also lacked seasoning. We also got the mcvetti breakfast sandwich, the egg was a square cut out scrambled egg and the sausage was less than the amount that came with my plate, so it was basically just egg with one slice of cheese. The potatoes were good tho. You can see the picture of the sandwich, you can’t even see the indent of the sausage under the egg because it was so thin and small lol. We both agreed we would rather have a breakfast sandwich from McDonald’s than ever get that again, but we also agreed we will not be returning and advising our friends away from brunch here. The Bloody Mary we had was $12, came with an olive, a slice of lemon and celery, and was ordered spicy but was way less spicy than the sausage. My fiancé LOVES bloody Mary’s and we get them at every brunch we go to, and this one was disappointing, and he said weirdly enough, it was slightly sweet. Overall, we were extremely underwhelmed with the brunch here and would not recommend it. Charging $14 for a breakfast sandwich like this is ROBBERY. The pecan bomboloni were very good tho.

I have visited Louisville 7-8 times and this was my first time visiting Bar Vetti. The service was awesome! Destiny was super attentive and very personable. The menu is perfectly sized and you can tell they do each item very well. My wife and I both had the carbonara. I had the gluten free version. The smoked guanciale made the dish Smokey and differentiated it from other versions I have had in the past. The smokiness paired beautifully with yoke sauce and pecorino cheese. The broccolini and carrot sides were also absolutely amazing. Everything well well rounded and had robust flavor while not overpowering the the dishes star ingredients. To top off the meal the lemon sorbet with rosemary honey was lights out and put the exclamation mark on a wonderful evening! I will be making this place a staple for any trip to Louisville KY!

Google
Bar Vetti is a hotel restaurant in NULU. We had great drinks at the bar yesterday, and based off the out of state hotel guests recommendations, we decided to try the restaurant today. Ceasar salad was not a true ceasar and just ok. Veggie pizza was just a cheese pizza with raw arugula on top. Orecchiette was an oversized plate of cold ricotta with a meager spooning of pasta & ragu. Server couldn't have been more cold if she was made of marble. Only thing edible was the Foccacia app. We gave our leftovers to a homeless man in hopes he could choke it down. Def not coming back here. The hotel bar was completely dead both nights so we suggest turning it into a restaurant to drum up some more NULU business. We love the NULU area but Bar Vetti was a big disappointment unfortunately.

Brunch on a Saturday…no reservation but sat at the bar which was lovely and gave a great view of the restaurant. All the food was phenomenal but my steak and eggs nudged out in first place. For sure returning to brunch again soon!

The meatball with grits is delicious. Highly recommend. Applewood smoked bacon is tasty. The home fries lacks a bit flavour tbh.

Yelp
Bar Vetti is knocking it out of the park with their brunch. I saw that they had eggnog pancakes for the holiday and I knew I had to visit soon. The atmosphere is great. We sat at the bar because without a reservation it's bar service only. But the bar has full service which made no difference. The eggnog pancakes were dense and tasted just like eggnog. The nutmeg was a perfect balance to the pancakes. There was some sort of eggnog syrup as the syrup for this stack. It is cold and and eventually the pancakes get cold due to soaking up the eggnog. It's a very cozy breakfast stack. The breakfast plate is a must. You need to have focaccia bread for brunch. Do it. It will change your life. The eggs are fluffy and I didn't even need cheese to add fluff to the eggs. My only complaint is that the bacon is super salty. Everything else is perfect. Bar Vetti, well done.

Yelp
Great service, great atmosphere, great food! Stopped in for Sunday brunch and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. My party of two arrived a bit ahead of our reservation time and they were able to seat us immediately. The hostess at the front of the restaurant was very friendly and welcoming. Upon being seated, our server came over and introduced himself, took our drink orders and allowed time for us to review the menu. When he came back to take our order, he did a great job explaining the menu and offering suggestions. Our food came out in a timely manner and everything was wonderful. The portions were plentiful and everything was absolutely delicious! Definitely a great place for brunch with family or friends. I highly recommend.

Yelp
Came here a while back for the first time, sat outside, didn't get very good service nor was the food spectacular that visit. We got the chicken Parmesan and focaccia. Kept hearing so many good things about this place so had to come back and give it a 2nd try. Made reservations for inside and did more research on the menu and the 2nd visit was much better! The service was pretty good, much more attentive than when we sat outside and the gentleman working the host stand was very friendly. The inside was very cute with music playing. We ordered the fancy pepperoni pizza and the bucatini pasta. I thought the pizza was amazing. I loved the touch of honey with the pepper and pepperoni. The pasta was just okay, I liked the noodles but wasn't a fan of the sauce it came in for some reason. But overall much better experience and food for our 2nd visit!

Yelp
My mouth is watering thinking about this place. I wanted to try this mushroom pasta and Caesar salad. I can't wait to try more of their pastas and brunch food. I can tell this place has great food and such a fun spot to check out in the heart of Nulu.

Yelp
I had such a great experience at bar Vetti. Everybody was happy to be at work. Very welcoming as we opted to sit at the bar. The bartenders made drink suggestions to us. We were feeling the Christmas spirit and ordered from the Holiday drink menu. I got the "Bye Buddy, I hope you find your dad" and my friend had the "Angels with Filthy souls". It tasted so yummy tho. I did take pics of our drinks. We only had drinks but I'm definitely coming back for dinner.

Yelp
Went for brunch yesterday and our table all left saying "WOW!" The sausage gravy is probably the best I've ever had from a restaurant. They use Jake's country sausage from Bardstown and I'm guessing it's the Hot variation because the sausage patties had a little heat to them but were so flavorful. Eggs were cooked perfectly and a big surprise was the focaccia. I have only had focaccia on sandwiches and I'm not the biggest fan. But the way they made toast out of it was incredible, it melted in the mouth. The pancakes were delicious and way over the top (in a good way) and even the side salad was very fresh and flavorful. We will be coming back here for sure!

Yelp
Bar Vetti is my GO TO!!! It always hits and never misses. I absolutely love this place and am always happy to give them all of my money. Every time I bring someone here, they love it. The food, service and ambiance is always top notch.

Yelp
Breakfast, brunch, lunch or dinner, Bar Vetti is a favorite spot in NuLu. I typically enjoy everything I have here. For brunch, I love the McVetti sandwich with potatoes, be sure to get extra calabrian sauce to dip in. They typically have lunch specials during the week which are an amazing deal. For dinner, the cacio e pepe or the carbonara are my go-tos. I can also highly recommend the beets & ricotta, meatball burger, and chocolate budino Oh and they make some kickass cocktails and have a great wine menu, I like starting my meal with a lillet blanc. I gave 4 star out of 5 for two reasons: - The music is a bit too loud in the evenings - Depending what you order (Carbonara), it can be very salty. I think it has to do with the cut of meat used but if the meat is that salty, no other salt should be added to the dish.

Yelp
I went back to bar Vetti with family. We all ordered different pasta dishes so we could try a little of each. They were all amazing. We agreed we couldn't pick a favorite. The service is always great. It was a Friday night and the vibe was fun and exciting. I definitely recommend reservations.

Yelp
Came here for brunch and was so happy with the food! Everything was delicious! The service was also pretty great with more than just my server stopping by to check in. I appreciated that. The atmosphere is great, pretty calm for a Sunday brunch in what I think is a busy area. Looking forward to my next visit!

Yelp
It's been five years since I first visited bar Vetti, when it was in its previous location, and it's as delicious as I remember! My best friend and I came here recently for a girl's night. Pasta on a cool winter night -- doesn't get much better than that. I went with my pasta favorite, cacio e pepe. I love that this dish has become a thing. And this rigatoni was as good as when I last got it at bar Vetti. It was pepper-y and cheese-y. It was a perfect enough portion to fill me up without making me feel overly full. I also like the choice of using rigatoni with this. It is such a great carrier for the sauce, unlike spaghetti. We also split some focaccia bread. Just perfect. IMO bar Vetti has the best Italian in Louisville, and even better, the vibe isn't stuffy and overly formal. It's a fun, fuschia-filled spot with friendly staff. Our waitress chatted with us for a bit and recommended some great wines. The prices are a bit steep but so worth it. And the owner has a reputation for fairly paying the staff, so I feel better knowing that what I pay is going toward that. Again, best Italian in Louisville. Get it!

Yelp
Hospitable and convenient. Delicious entries. Clean and fabulous service. We're just passing through and decided to stop by for a rest.

Yelp
I really enjoyed this place for several reasons. We had great service, delicious creative beverages and food options, modern clean upbeat scenery & it was located in a convenient centralized location. Bar Vetti is attached to the Marriott brand hotel & can be accessed through a door in the lobby. My brother & I stayed there so this was an extra convenience.

Yelp
Bar Vetti is in on Market Street in the Nulu neighborhood in downtown Louisville. It's connected to AC Hotel by Marriott. The plants lining the walls and greenery above the bar add visual interest, along with neon lit Bar Vetti signs that add to the trendy aesthetic. It's a fun space that is well-suited for a girls night out. I ordered the following- Caesar Salad- (half size) roma crunch lettuce, dried apple and anchovy dressing (automatically comes on the side), everything granola, parmesan. Orecchiette- Jake's county sausage ragù, basil, ricotta, breadcrumbs. Hugo Spritz- St. German elderflower liqueur, soda, Cinzano Prosecco, mint I've heard that the Caesar salad rivals any other in the city. I can confirm, it's the best I've ever had. It was a half size and still huge. This is a must-try starter. The Orecchiette was plated on top of a generous amount of ricotta, adding the perfect balance to the spice of the sausage. My cocktail was good, but I didn't find it to be extraordinary. I sampled the tiramisu gelato and it was excellent; the cocoa was complimented by sea salt. This combination made it stand apart from similar desserts. Overall, the service was satisfactory. Our server was knowledgeable and helpful in describing the menu and helping us place our orders. It was nearly 20 minutes before I was offered a water, but otherwise she was attentive. I would give the food five stars. The noise level was a bit louder than I would like, but that is a matter of personal preference. The bathrooms are oddly far from the tables, located behind the bar in the hotel lobby next door. There weren't hand towels and I didn't enjoy drying my hands with Kleenex. The food though, it was top-notch. For the price range and fine food that Bar Vetti offers, I would expect more accessible restroom facilities and some means to dry my hands without having to use my pants. I would also expect to be greeted within the first fifteen minutes of sitting down, at a minimum. The food itself was phenomenal.

Yelp
Only had drinks but the margaritas were good Service was good Great ambiance I didn't have food or appetizers

Yelp
I dined at bar Vetti for my birthday. Our server was new and she did a decent job. We ordered focaccia to start and the balsamic oil was yummy. For entrees we ordered pizza Margarita, chicken piccata and spaghetti pomodora with meatballs. I'd say the overall thought is average. There was nothing that stood out as delicious and service was fair. I wish I could say something more positive but average is the best I can do.
google avatar

Camille F.

Yelp
So delish! It was a busy week day with many in town for bourbon and beyond. They were able to squeeze us in for a late dinner. We each had a cocktail the old fashioned was pretty average but good. We started with the focaccia and beet salad. Both were excellent. The beet salad with ricotta was well balanced and the pistachios added great texture. We ended with the lobster pasta which had a surprising kick to it. Overall great experience and service.

Yelp
As a Black pepper fanatic, let me just say I was absolutely in love with the White Pie (pizza). It was so refreshing, I split it with a friend but honestly wouldn't have been upset with leftovers if I had ordered a full one for myself! Cocktails were fun, the bar looked really nice for a date night. I would definitely come back here again to try some new menu items or maybe just get the same pizza again!

Yelp
I stepped into bar Vetti to have a bite but upon arrival - there were no seats at the bar or in the restaurant for one. So I ordered to go- but then one spot opened that the hostess pointed out so I decided to stay and eat. I ordered wine and changed my to go - to stay. So .., let me say - the service at the bar with the girl - dark hair and glasses at the bar - RUDE- she was terrible. My wine tasted like dish soap and she kept Ignoring me and wiping dishes. So I was able to grab her attention just long enough to ask for my pizza to go but she walked away when I was trying to tell her about my wine. A few moments later - She plopped my to go box down and again went back to her dishes. I waived at her with my card and she put her hand in the air and said -yeah -give me a minute. Let me just rant for a moment -- Im a well dressed -maintained female with a big smile thankful for a seat was not treated right here. The gentleman next to me said - wow - leaving and when I told him about my wine and service he said his girlfriend was also treated rudely while he parked the car. Now- I get back to my room to have one of the best white pizzas EVER! It's a shame that one person can impact your feeling about a place. I'm here one more night and honestly already wanted another delicious bite - but her poor service - will send me somewhere else ! What a shame !!! Also - rinse your wine glasses ! Pizza $22 plus a glass of wine - one small sip $13.....

Yelp
Favorite brunch in the city! The frittata is my go-to every time and you can't miss out on the Caesar salad.

Yelp
Swanky and trendy are NOT words I use to describe myself. These ARE words I would use to describe bar Vetti. Since I do not typically visit swanky, trendy spots, my recent sojourn to bar Vetti was a rare treat, one by which I was pleasantly surprised. The service is EXCELLENT. Our server just happened to be vegan, and as such was incredibly helpful at pointing me toward menu options that would not only be safe, but also delicious. I happily devoured Blue Dog sourdough, the mixed green salad with a truly inspired red wine balsamic vinaigrette, and spaghetti pomodoro. Oh, you might say in a sarcastic voice - spaghetti pomodoro - what an inventive vegan option. And I would respond with - WAIT UNTIL YOU TRY IT. The spaghetti: perfect texture. The sauce: perfect balance of garlic, tomatoes, and basil. The portion size: very generous for a swanky, trendy establishment. I typically do not choose to visit places that charge $27 for pasta, but I can say unequivocally that this pasta is worth it. Although I don't often dine at swanky, trendy restaurants, bar Vetti may be changing my mind.

Yelp
Have heard but never got a chance to try till tonight. Drilling thru NuLu, which I highly recommend!, we tried this place. It's connected to the AC hotel...which you automatically think, oh it's a hotel restaurant, probably "ok". Well.... We were shocked! First it was very busy for a Monday night, especially post-Covid. But it wasn't so crowded that service was affected. We sat at the bar and bar tender was not thing but professional. On top of everything and answered any questions for newbies. We had their aperol spritz and old fashion. Both were both of the best we have had in a long time. Highly recommend! For food we had fresh baked focaccia with oil and vinegar. The bread was the best focaccia we have had! Warm, salty, crust, just perfect. Order of the meatballs, which again, some of these we have had. Came with grilled wheat'ish/multigrain bread that was amazing. Had we known that it came with bread we would of skipped the focaccia but then again.... You can't have enough bread, right?? The marinara over meatballs was perfect. A little sweet, a little herby, just enough to off set the meatballs. A We also split the rigatoni- cacio e pepe. Traditionally its made spaghetti noodles but the short rigatoni was perfect to share. Creamy, peppery, salty. Spot on. Others around us ordered it with a fried chicken cutlet on top...which looked like a game changer. Definitely will try that way next time. We saw they have an espresso maker.... Which is grounds for perfect espresso martini...which they have. But that's next time. Overall, amazing experience and can't wait to try again. Oh and it's completely chill since connected to hotel. So come in shorts and t. Come in a suit. Doesn't matter just show up!

Yelp
Everyone's favorite, this Italian eatery on Market Street is hip and has delicious Italian. Several Homemade pasta dishes, great pizza, entrees...I had heard of it but a reservation seemed to be impossible to get. Luckily it has evened out and I've been there on four separate occasions. The burrata appetizer is delicious. Just wish it was bigger. I had the buccatini was home made and delicious. My husband got a pizza with meats. Portion sizes are average to small so you have to like that person to share. The drinks are a highlight. Expert bartenders who know what they are making. The prices very reasonable. Loved the ambiance with music choices and lighting. 5/5 Stars on food, prices, location and service.
google avatar

Brooke C.

Yelp
Fantastic service, great food, cozy yet classy environment. Bar Vetti is currently my favorite Italian place in town. Their pasta is made in house and ingredients are sourced locally when they can be. Our waiter was attentive and helpful with the menu. The focaccia *chefs kiss* - we were so excited when we found out it was two servings of the bread that could be brought out whenever. We had a really difficult time picking from the menu because it all looks amazing. We went with a classic favorite (chicken parm), an elevated favorite pizza (pepperoni with honey & Calabrian chiles) & a seasonal dish (lobster paccheri). I would order the pizza every single time I come here, it was THAT good. But the lobster paccheri was the star of the meal. The pasta was perfect, the sauce light and complimentary to the lobster. Don't hesitate to order it.

Yelp
My first time at Bar Vetti. I went for brunch on a Sunday. The restaurant had a very nice vibe and the music selection made it even better. I went with a group of people and everyone's food looked amazing. I ordered a side of parmesan fries and the one Nutella pancake. The fries were okay the pancake was good and very sweet. I wish they had turkey bacon or turkey sausage on the menu for the non-pork eaters. The service was great I can't wait to go back to try the dinner menu.

Yelp
Wonderful brunch, lots of choices - something for everyone. We had a large party for brunch and got seated quickly at a large high top. Great selection of beverages and coffee. Try the gravy cakes!

Yelp
Classy place with large portions! Visited with a friend for a late dinner. We loved the elegance of the restaurant & staff. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. I attempted to order a cocktail from their menu but they were out of an ingredient, the server quickly pivoted and had another comprable drink made for me. I really appreciated the service! For food I had the orecchiette and the portion was far too large for me. I ended up taking half home, and despite the ricotta it reheated wonderfully! It was delicious the first & second time. On the flip side my friends cacio e Pepe was eaten in one sitting. -1star for the table itself. It was a 2 top and was shoved up against the wall. It was a bit darker and made us feel very cramped. Overall an excellent place to stop by, hoping to try their brunch soon!

Yelp
This is the sort of restaurant that could cause you to reevaluate every review you've ever left on Yelp. I'll be brief: this place is extraordinary. EVERYTHING we had was magnificent. If you're visiting Louisville, include bar Vetti on your itinerary. I'd give it ten stars if I could.
google avatar

Sean Matthew L.

Yelp
Bar Vetti continues to be one of the best spots in Louisville. The space is cozy, comfortable and ambient enough for vibes but not so loud you can't carry a conversation. The food offerings are always on point and delicious. The staff are always courteous and friendly. Always a great time at Bar Vetti. An absolute must.
google avatar

Griff S.

Yelp
I would rate the food as good at 3/5 and the service at 4/5. The music was a couple clicks too loud, but tolerable. What was intolerable, was a loud ringing video game like noise every time an order was placed on their computer. It was incessant and made it feel like being in a pre-teen video arcade. It killed any potential sophistication. That alone was a deal breaker and would not go back unless they got rid of that noise.

Yelp
Love, Love, Love this place. I follow Bar Vetti on IG and the Valentine's Brunch post showing the Chocolate Covered Cherry Pancakes caught my eye. I made reservations which I highly recommend. The atmosphere is inviting to say the least. I do believe in the few moments I was standing there I was singing to Never ending story. Great music and great vibe. The Brunch menu has something for everyone. The cocktail & spirits menu is longer than the actual food menu. The coffee will put hair on your chest which I love. Strong and hot. It definitely woke me up. We decided to get something savory and something sweet to share. I chose the Farmer's Breakfast and he chose the Chocolate Covered Cherry Pancakes. I don't know about y'all; but, we swap out plates to try a little bit of everything. The farmers breakfast was delicious. The sausage is spicy hot which is my favorite. The grilled focaccia was light and perfect to dip in the Jake's Country Gravy (this is a MUST add on!!) the potatoes were crispy and the eggs were cooked to perfection. Let's move onto the show stopper....Chocolate Covered Cherry Pancakes. Y'all. ............................... Y'all this was the bomb.com. Fluffy pancakes layered with amerena cherry mascarpone, chocolate ganache and cocoa nibs and an angel kiss of powdered sugar. This was so indulgent and decadent. I think I closed my eyes after that first bite. Thank you Chef for this masterpiece. The staff there is top notch. So sweet so attentive and a breath of fresh air. I've already made reservations for us to go back and have their homemade pasta. I think this just might be my favorite hangout.

Yelp
My wife and I finally tried this place for our anniversary and couldn't have enjoyed it more. Not cheap, but one of the best meals we've had in a long time. Excellent ambience and service as well. We talk constantly about needing to return here soon. Such a great addition to our local food scene.

Yelp
I'm glad I found bar Vetti. This popular spot was great for brunch. Reservations are a must. Both the hostess and the server were great. It's bright and airy inside. I had an espresso, the pecan bomboloni and the eggplant parm sandwich. Everything was delicious. I'm sad the don't do cappuccino, but my espresso gave me the hit I need. I'm obsessed with bomboloni and this pecan ricotta take was so good. They were light, fluffy, and served hot. You could not stop eating them. The sandwich and fries were also excellent, if a bit messy. And the portion was huge. I'd love to return for dinner and cocktails.

Yelp
This is the second time dining at Bar Vetti, but my first time at this new location. The outside is brightly lit with a pink neon sign. Loved the look and layout of the new space. We were immediately greeted and sat at a corner high top table. It was a busy night, so it took our server a little while to get to us but he was extremely friendly and helpful. We ordered drinks which arrived quickly. The wine list isn't very long and glasses range from $12-17. I opted for a glass of Prosecco, which was delicious and light. Then we ordered appetizers including the butternut squash panazella salad and burrata cheese. The salad was Ah-mazing! The croutons were very crunchy, paired with creamy butternut squash purée and roasted butternut squash with other veggies. I would go back just for the salad! The burrata was good but a little plain compared to the salad. For an entree I ordered the margarita pizza, which was $20. I also ordered the spicy dipping sauce for another $1. The pizza crust was perfect, soft in the middle and crunchy crust. It was also a nice sized portion. The cheese wasn't melted but I liked the take on this version. I would recommend this restaurant and can't wait to go back to try some other items.

Yelp
We had a group of 13 girls (plus a baby) here for brunch and it was great! We only had one waitress and she was quick and attentive! The espresso martinis were very good and the McVetti (sub potatoes for parm fries) was delicious! Highly recommend for big parties in nulu

Yelp
Visiting Louisville (August) on a girls trip, bar Vetti was recommended by a server we had at another restaurant. After scrolling IG we decided to try it out for dinner. Being gluten free I had already scouted the menu & I went in already knowing that I wanted to have 2 starters for my meal-Caesar salad and Beets & Ricotta. Both dishes were stunning and tasted so good. I loved the presentation of the Caesar salad: cut up like a wedge salad, the dressing was tasty & the love the crunch of the granola (definitely something I'll start adding to my salads at home). I never pass up beets when on a menu; paired with the creamy ricotta, mint and pistachio, it was delectable! My friend had the rigatoni and she said the homemade pasta was very good. This place is very trendy! Ambience was fun. We stayed in Nulu so it was easy to walk there plus walk around the shops before dinner.

Yelp
This might be my new favorite spot in Louisville! We sat at the bar and had very engaging service. We sampled many selections including the beet salad, panzanella salad, risotto, margarita pizza and roasted potatoes. Everything was really good. The pizza was our least favorite. We finished off with the tiramisu ice cream and an espresso martini. So good. Run don't walk!

Yelp
I had the best espresso martini I've ever had in my life at this place. My friends and I sat at the bar and the bartenders were extremely lovely. We got the cheese to start off with, which was fantastic and the crostinis served with it were nice and crispy. For dinner, I chose the Caccio Pepe for dinner which had an interesting take with rigatoni noodles. It was exceptionally delicious. I would say that this place is great if you're looking for a fancier ambiance, but ultimately the cocktails are the key here.

Yelp
Went here for a friends bday! Food was incredible but service was incredibly lacking. We had a reservation for our 8 person group. I recognize that this is a big group but not massive and we were very easy customers. My husband waited on his beer for 20 plus minutes (those of that ordered cocktails got theirs after about 10ish). Another person in our group had the same issue. Both of them needed to remind her that they even ordered a drink. We were there for over 2 hrs because service was so slow. She hardly checked in, hard issues with bills, etc. Food wise- Caesar was very very good and unique! Pizza was good. I would recommend ordering some sort of dipping sauce for pizza because it's got extremely thick crust that needs something for it when done eating portion with toppings/sauce.

Yelp
Dropped in for a casual solo dinner, happy to watch the place fill up while I sampled a variety of dishes & wine pairings. The wine list has a lovely variety of options by the glass, several Italian, all with detailed tasting notes. I started with a not-too-sweet Lambrusco and their award-winning Caesar on Mediha's recommendation. I love a good Caesar, but this one is truly unique, with the savory anchovy balanced by a touch of apple-sweet, a dash of citrus, and an exciting crunch compliments of their house-made granola - a delightful alternative to the typical crouton. Next I tried the medium-bodied Super Tuscan with the seasonal Roasted Cauliflower. Cauli could have had a better char, although was not overcooked. Flavor-wise, the delightful emulsion of citrus, earthy seaweed, and warming Calabrian chili carried the dish, especially paired with golden raisins and crisp breadcrumbs. White grapes were a little texturally confusing, but not upsetting. I was most excited about the pasta, as it's all made in-house. I'm a sucker for Cacio e Pepe, but was recommended to have the Carbonara (which I also love), and was happy to find the best of both worlds with a perfect harmony of rich cream, Pecorino Romano, and fresh cracked black pepper sitting among chunks of local bacon, which is lean and has a flavor profile somewhere between aged ham and salami. The fusilli is in lovely long strands, very satisfying, although a little beyond Al dente. I should have stopped there because I was quite full, and continued following Mediha's wonderful advice, but instead was a sucker for chocolate and had the Budino. Sadly, I can't recommend this one without major changes. The chocolate mousse and whipped cream are both quite nice, but separated by a thick layer of do-nothing pecans and quite awful olive oil tinged by medicinal orange. I had to pour off the syrupy elixir and ask for more flake salt to make it palatable. I did hear the Pistachio Olive Oil Cake is their speciality and would love to sample on a return trip! Overall, service was impeccable, vibe is fun and upscale, food is great quality and you can trust the servers who are incredibly passionate and knowledgeable. Definitely a must-try!

Yelp
I just have to share my love for Bar Vetti! This restaurant is easily in my top 5 favorite spots in Louisville. I mean, it never disappoints - I've been there so many times and the food is always absolutely amazing. I have to start by saying that the Caesar salad is hands down the best salad I've ever had. Seriously, I dream about this salad all the time. The granola gives it such a great texture and it's just the right balance of savory and sweet. But don't stop there - the pizzas are also incredible! I've tried a few different ones and I've never been disappointed. The crust is perfectly crispy and the toppings are always fresh and flavorful. The ambiance of the restaurant is cozy and romantic, and the staff is super friendly and attentive. They always make you feel welcome and they're happy to help you make the right selection from the menu.

Yelp
Lovely spot, we had been before for dinner and had a wonderful experience but did you know they have a fantastic brunch.l? Great location in NuLu, able to make reservations online. Friendly staff, laid back atmosphere. Each dish we had was outstanding, particularly the pecan bomboloni. Wonderful spot for brunch and dinner

Yelp
If you're searching for a fantastic, upscale Italian joint, bar Vetti is your place!! I had heard of it for years, in my mind it seemed to be one of the most talked about Italian restaurants in Louisville. I never saw it when it was in its old location, but now that it is connected to a hotel in the heart of Nulu, I passed by it all the time and got more curious every time I saw it. While my fiance and I were downtown for an event and were looking for a dinner spot, it felt like the perfect time to give it a shot. I would recommend making reservations, if possible. I didn't think I needed to for coming in right when they opened on a Tuesday evening, but we were told we could be seated if we were finished within an hour and a half (which, of course, was not an issue at all.) Italian is not always my first choice, but was wanting to get some after not having any for a while. Little did I know, this place was going to provide a whole foodie experience!! From the bread to their pizza, everything was so good. The crust was glazed with a sweet, honey-like sauce and it was *chef's kiss* This is a perfect date night spot. I'd recommend it to visitors too, it's a great place to check out some of the best of Louisville's foodie scene!

Yelp
Came back again! This time for brunch on Sunday. They open right at 10. Not too busy at this time. I found parking right in front! I ordered the Jack's sausage and egg pizza. Splendid with that thin crust! Sometimes a larger crust hurts my jaw. It was flavorful and you could tell they had grated the parmesan right on top! So it wasn't overly messy with the cheese. Great flavors and a nice kick with the sausage! My friends ordered sweet stuff: tiramisu pancakes, Nutella pancakes, and pumpkin spice pancakes. It was 3 large pancakes. Fluffy and thick and layered with chocolate or pumpkin. They could only eat a third of it. We also shared the pecan bomboloni which were a few airy and light donuts sitting on top of whipped mascarpone. Of course, I took a lactaid pill before all of this. Can't really handle heavier forms of dairy! Delicious and sweet! My friends also ordered coffee and espresso and enjoyed. The espresso came with a zest of lemon. Fantastic pairing! It's Good Folks coffee in case you're particular with your coffee like I am. I'll be back to try their dinner! Such great ambiance, good lighting, and wonderful interior decor!
