Had dinner with my colleagues as farewell party - the TBONE steak was perfectly made through perfections. I just recommend not to make french fries salty. Overall the service staff was really attentive during our dining experience ♥️ Cheers 🎉🎊🎉

Really excellent. I ate at the bar and want to shout out G who was really great at introducing the food and making my party feel welcome. The atmosphere is excellent — staff and patrons are having a great time and the decor is authentic. I would come back with friends on a future visit to NYC if I wanted them to have a good time and a good steakhouse experience.

We ordered 2 steaks(medium-rare), a steak fry, a mushroom and a mashed potato for 2 adults and 1 teenager. Amount of food was enough and tasty was so good with crispy and soft. But the atmosphere is a bit crowded.

How does a restaurant of this caliber employ such an unprofessional waiter? Several items we requested never arrived. Does this place only pour the first glass of wine? We waited over 20 minutes with empty glasses, and in the end, we poured it ourselves. When the waiter saw us, he had the audacity to smile and ask us to wait for him to pour it next time. Are you kidding me? Look, I get it maybe he was busy, and the space we were seated in was tight, making it harder for him to maneuver. I was willing to let that slide. However, what completely crossed the line was when he leaned on my clothes, which was hanging on my chair, while celebrating a birthday at the next table. I looked at him multiple times, but he avoided eye contact. And the fact that his greasy hands touched my clothes? That was infuriating. This waiter looked like the youngest among the staff, and it seems like he needs to get his act together. Please, assign capable staff to all tables instead of reserving inexperienced ones for seats that feel like they’re meant only for people of color. I still left an 18% tip, consoled only by the fact that the food was good. But frankly, the service was unacceptable.

Asked for steamed lobster, got a lobster that is grilled with lots of junk on it... When I ordered, I made a joke that I like it naked, what kind of misunderstanding can it be. The manager finally came over and said there must have been a mis communication. The waiter disappeared，and waiter must have mis-understood me NO, there's none, manager was awful, I got a second one, but it tasted like leather and frozen. We also had steak, that was so overcooked. I have been coming here for over 15 years every time I'm in town, which is few times a year. it is absolutely awful now.... I think everyone can have an off day, but the manager was the worst I have ever encountered. Rude, condescending... Note I just realized I must have been going to their location inside the hotel. . Loud, too bright, one on top of another.

We had a fantastic birthday dinner with delicious steak, wine, and an incredibly fresh and tasty salad. The mashed potatoes and creamy spinach were amazing too! The meal for two came to $450, including tax and tip, and the friendly staff made the experience even better.

Really great place but too many pieces of the steak for two were unchewable in their entirety and had to be spit out. Too much inedible gristle. But maybe that’s just the way the steak is. Got tomato and onions with it which were decent. Cheesecake was amazing. Service was excellent. Atmosphere was nice but the entry hall was jammed up with people complaining they had reservations but couldn’t get a table - seems like they over reserved.

I visited here during restaurant week. Restaurant was so crowded and staff were so busy. I picked one wine from the list and asked if this was red wine, and the waiter said yes. But what he brought was white wine. Of course, he exchanged it quickly, but I saw his face was crumpled. I ordered 3 steaks, 2 medium, 1 medium well, but 2 medium well done were served my table. But the food was good, so I get 4 stars.

One of the best steaks I have ever had. Literally melts in your mouth. The lobster bisque was top shelf. The other snot nose, pompous, unsatisfied yelp keyboard warriors leaving reviews need to relax and take an Xanax. Highly recommend.

Perfectly located near grand central station and dripping w that steak house ambiance. Super high ceilings, alabaster light fixtures and a large fireplace surround you. You can tell you are in for something good. Bread was nice, especially the onion roll. We didn't want to get filled up before the steak, but, if I had more room, I'd have had the wedge salad and the baked clams. Maybe a shrimp also. They all look great. We had the porterhouse for 2. Comes out sizzling, cooked to order. Crispy outer crust, tender inside. Excellent. Had the hash browns and spinach. Both very good, spinach more so. Too full for dessert. Another day. Service was top notch. I'll be back.

Overall service from G was great. Bar was very crowded and busy as expected during the holidays. Sea bass was over cooked and under seasoned. Ribeye was cooked perfectly. There was a taller bar tender that ran my card and rather than entering the chip, swiped the card which caused my bank to flag as fraud. No issue there but he mocked and joked about it which was not professional.

The Benjamin Steakhouse is one of the better steakhouses in NYC. I have been here before as well as Benjamin Steakhouse Prime, which confused me until I realized it is essentially the same restaurant, depending on whether you enter on 40th Street for Prime and 41st for The Benjamin. The Benjamin is working hard for your business and I have been here often enough for Restaurant Week that the floor managers and some of the wait staff recognize me. The restaurant week menu does not change much, but this time I saw they offered a 16 oz bone in dry aged ribeye as well as the smaller sirloin and salmon. So I opted for the larger ribeye and creamed spinach with their Caesar salad for the opener. I ordinarily opt for the thick cut bacon, which is ordered often enough that it may have cooled after sitting out a moment. You will be served first a basket of bread and crackers with a dish of butter with black salt and olive oil and vinegar. This is a very generous basket of bread and crackers and the butter and black salt stand out, one of the details you will notice at The Benjamin. The Caesar salad was fresh and flavorful. The shaved Parmesan is nice and works well in conjunction with their delicious garlic croutons. I ordinarily do not notice croutons, but in this salad they stand out. The bacon would pair well with the Caesar salad. The ribeye and creamed spinach came out next. As a $25 upcharge over the dry aged sirloin, my particular ribeye did not rise to the level anticipated. It had a nice crust and was medium rare as I ordered, but the anticipated tenderness did not happen for me. I expect this has more to do with my particular ribeye, because I know what they can do at The Benjamin. The marbling added flavor, but this cut had more gristle than anticipated and the tenderness suffered. This cut was also thinner than some ribeyes and one would be better advised to go all out for a larger and thicker cut 24/26 oz bone in ribeye with better tenderness that such would offer. A thicker ribeye would have a larger pink center at medium rare and its correspondingly thicker bone would have the desired effect regulating temperature and benefitting tenderness. Most people would be happy with this 16oz ribeye, but connoisseurs of the bone in ribeye would take note of my observations with my particular cut. It is worth reiterating that I know of the quality and level of flavor and tenderness The Benjamin is capable. It shows up ordinarily in their steaks and a friend commented her salmon was superb here. The garlic croutons and shaved Parmesan are details that work well together in the Caesar salad and the creamed spinach is excellent with no dairy apparently. The creamed spinach seems to have some chicken stock in it that is among the best creamed spinach you will ever have. The thick cut bacon here is delicious if you remind your server to bring out a hot slice fresh from the kitchen. So the $25 upcharge for my ribeye did not meet my expectations, but their dry aged sirloin has always been great from their restaurant week menu. The chocolate mousse with a dollop of freshly whipped cream go well with a cup of coffee. The chocolate and whipped cream cone together nicely with coffee. The crust of this chocolate mousse will stand out on your palate, again one of those details of quality you notice at the Benjamin and a great cap to the meal. Four stars!

Came here for an office lunch for the holiday. The ambiance was very old school. The waiter wasn't amazing but the rest of the waitstaff who helped us was great. We got the bacon and some apps to start. The bacon was so fatty I couldn't even eat mine. The shrimp cocktail was a little tough and not that good. I got the chicken parm. It was ok. My coworker got the king crab legs and it was absolutely disgusting. She sent it back and they were nice enough to take it off the bill. My other coworker got the prime rib and it was HUGE

Went here for a business dinner. The steak was pretty phenomenal, some sides were great, others were okay. Service was attentive but the restaurant was very packed, had a reservation and got seated 30 minutes later while having to wait by the packed bar and getting bumped by people all the time. Very loud inside until later in the night. Decor is on par with an old school steakhouse.

We came to this lovely establishment last Saturday before our comedy show at MSG. My close friend Juan is a frequent flyer and always brags about the restaurant so we tried it out. We were a bit late and they still seated us. We let the server know we had to be out by a certain time and so he took our orders quickly and efficiently! They were absolutely amazing staff. I wish I had more food pictures of the porter house steaks and clams/bacon we ordered but I didn't to snap a picture. The food was amazing and their steak sauce is very delicious and tasty. Everything was cooked amazing. The restaurant definitely had steak house vibes and modern but dim and romantic place to go. The bathroom was gorgeous so was the whole place. I am so happy we took the suggestion to visit this restaurant, I will recommend it to everyone I know! Thank you for a great experience from the moment we walked in to the moment we left.

A more upscale steakhouse with a romantic vibe. Once you enter the restaurant, the setting is dim. Some people had their flashlights on because of how dim it was inside. We came in as a group of 4 for restaurant week because of the fixed price. All of us ordered a starter dish, a main dish and dessert. For starters, we got a Caesar salad and calamari. The main dish, of course, had to be steak and our sides were the spinach, fries and mashed potato. For dessert, we got the cheesecake and chocolate mousse cake. The steak comes on a very hot plate, and they tilt the plate to ensure all the oil drips to one side of the plate. The steak was delicious and everything was SO filling!! Definitely worth the restaurant week price of around $60 per person.

This restaurant segregates Asians in groups in corners of rooms. The host originally sat us at a table in a corner next to several other Asians where multiple waiters kept walking back and forth and my partner had to keep shifting his chair. I asked to be reseated and the same host took us up to a balcony to be seated in another corner next to another group of Asians. They "forgot" to bring water and then "forgot" to bring bread, and then their excuse for not refilling our waters is that it was a long night.

When I tell you, my husband enjoyed his birthday dinner at this delightful establishment! When I tell you, we feel like we were VIPs, , it's true! We had a waitstaff of 5 to 6 people who were taking care of us and they did a phenomenal job! They were very attentive and just really catered to us, and every one of our needs! The food, oh my goodness, that food was so good! We are on a search for good steakhouses, and though we don't live in New York, that is our thing whenever we travel, and Benjamin's did not fail us one single bit! This is definitely going to be a staple whenever we're back in NYC! Also, the restaurant was so beautiful and cozy and nicely decorated. It was really a great experience!

Really crappy Christmas night experience. They overbook and so even with resos you wait 40+ minutes. The manager was rude at first when I called this out but eventually got us a beer and sparkling water on the house. Yea, sorry, you left us with a bad taste in our mouth from the get go and so no I don't feel like you "made things right". Food was OK but there are tons of much better steakhouses in NYC that will treat you right. Skip this tourist trap!

Definitely a good steak house for sure. Ribeye was fantastic and aged perfectly. Other selections were good too. We closed the night with pappy so that was awesome as well.

Solid steakhouse! Went to a team dinner here and they were able to accommodate us upstairs. We had a prix fixe menu and the food was good. We were all full by the time dessert came out. Only downfall is how far the bathroom is, definitely be careful if you had few drinks in cause there's a lot of stairs to get to the bathroom.

Stopped here for Saturday dinner while in the city for an overnighter. With having pizza and Italian throughout the day for several meals - it was only right to get something more domestic. Made a reservation for 8:30 and swung in around 8:35 due to traffic. This is an upscale type place - glass showcases of wine, white tablecloths, waiters in white shirts and ties, etc. We were immediately sat and ordered a couple of drinks. In addition, we shared Buffalo mozzarella and a French onion soup - both of which were very good. The mozzarella is just such a timeless and yet simple creation: slices of tomato and cheese, basil and oil. At first I didn't think I liked the soup bc it wasn't a dark color- but it grew on me and was very good. For the entree we went with the steak for 2: porterhouse which came with filet and sirloin. Cooked properly to medium. We added two sides: broccoli and the homefries - which was a an odd creation with the bleu cheese. Opted to skip dessert and just had coffee. Overall good, expensive but still a good meal.

Tony Soprano, Bill Murray, Kevin Bacon, Luda and many others have their photos on the wall! Overall excellent steakhouse. Great wine list and service is very satisfying.

I've been really trying to find a food steakhouse in NYC. There's a lot to try and was hoping with high hopes that Benjamin would be it. Sadly it did not exceed any expectations. The restaurant ambience is okay. Extremely loud. Steak was not cooked medium, more on the well side and was over salted. Sides were okay and wait staff changes their friendly attitudes when you don't order liquor. Caesar salad was average. Calamari was burnt. Desserts were not great at all. Seem to be outsourced store bought. Seems like there's potential. Could have been an off night who knows.

I came to Benjamin Steakhouse with a friend several years ago and had the porterhouse, which was delicious. So I was excited to come here again this weekend during Restaurant Week for dinner, to celebrate a friend's birthday. The atmosphere was lovely, starting from the entrance, with walls filled with photos of celebrities who have visited, to the beautiful dining room, with high ceilings and elegant decor. Their Restaurant Week menu has a wide variety of options to choose from, which was one of the reasons why we'd selected this place. I ordered: - Appetizer: Imported Buffalo Mozzarella with beefsteak tomatoes, basil and balsamic reduction - Entree: New York Sirloin - Side: Mashed Potatoes - Dessert: NY Cheesecake + Tea The appetizer was fresh and delightful, and a generous portion, too. The steak was flavorful, although a bit too salty. The mashed potatoes were way too salty, which was quite disappointing. I'd never had such salty mashed potatoes. My friends ordered the Creamless Creamed Spinach, which was the complete opposite, being quite bland, but a much healthier option. The NY Cheesecake was not dense, like a typical NY cheesecake, which I was expecting. To the contrary, it was light and airy, which I quite enjoyed, especially at the end of a full meal. I also appreciated that it came with coffee or tea. Based on my previous experience, I'd had higher expectations of the food overall. The service, however, was wonderful. Since it was our friend's birthday, the server arranged to have a birthday candle and message on our friend's dessert plate. And they sang happy birthday, with multiple servers chiming in. The service throughout our meal was attentive and the staff in general were quite pleasant. I hope the saltiness was just a one-off, because I would love to come back again with family and friends.

Ambiance (2/5): the establishment has a bar area to wait or dine. It is darkly lit with high ceilings, loud background noise. It's great for a fancy date night but was hard to converse with the noise. the tables are really tightly nested together. Be careful exiting your seat as the staff bustle around.  Service (3/5): I felt like our waiter was not friendly, curt when we had requests, and felt like we were getting made fun of between the staff (in another language). They were speedy in getting us what we needed. Food (3/5): I've had better at other  steakhouses. I was greatly disappointed that I had to send my steak back. For the most part, the dishes were just okay. I'm glad I only spent a flat rate because anything more than what I paid would have been a letdown. We visited during restaurant week for $60 for their 3-course meal. The calamari was lightly battered, generous portions, and tasty! I ordered the ribeye for an extra $25. I asked for the steak medium-rare and it was incredibly rare! I ended up sending it back to the kitchen and it was *not* overcooked and instead cooked perfectly to my liking. I wish that the dry rub/seasoning was a bit more pronounced as I did not want to use their steak sauce which tasted like a shrimp cocktail sauce. The home fries were indeed cooked per my request of well-done with bits with a crunch. It was nicely seasoned, onion-forward and provided a nice side to the meal. For dessert, I had the cheesecake but the chocolate mousse is definitely the right move-- it has a crunchy crust made of Oreo crumbles a top light but rich chocolate mousse.

We went here during Restaurant Week and were thoroughly impressed. From start to finish the service was some of the very best I've ever had. I ordered the sirloin steak, mashed potatoes and carrot cake. Everything was top-notch from the decor to delicious food to the amazing service. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a nicer restaurant to visit while on the east side of Midtown.

This is a restaurant week dinner menu review. I think that $60 is pretty good value, as you got a nice appetiser, 8 oz steak with a side and a dessert. Everything is in good portion, I am super stuffed after this! ~ Sizzling Canadian bacon (extra thick) ~ I'm so happy they include this in the appetiser! It's quite a big slice and thick cut! I love thick cut bacon. The bacon is lightly smoked, and surprisingly not very salty! It's not fatty (which is great!), and the meat is very favourable. It's not very tender and slightly chewy, not sure if this is what a typical thick cut bacon is like? It's my first, and I enjoy it! ~ Fillet Mignon ~ Well charred and crusted on the outside, inside is a perfect medium rare pink. The edges are a bit chewy and tough, but once you get to the inside it's tender and juicy. Not the best fillet I have had, but it's pretty good for this price. The server actually took the wrong order and gave me the sirloin instead. After speaking with him, he helped me changed the dish back to fillet, and it only took like 10mins?! I'm impressed with this swift change and level of attentiveness. ~ Benjamin home fries ~ It's actually potato hash, not fries. It tasted ok, not particularly good nor bad. ~ Creamless cream spinach ~ This is bad!!! Super bland, like there are no seasoning at all. Tasted like boiled spinach being crushed into this mushy paste of disgusting thing. ~ NY cheesecake ~ The texture is quite different from a typical NY cheesecake, but not necessarily in a bad way. It's creamy but not smooth enough, and very crumbly. It is however quite light and airy, which is nice. It have a very mild cheese flavour (slightly disappointed), but at least it doesn't taste sweet which is a yay for me. ~ Carrot cake ~ I really enjoy this dessert! Very big slice, and jam packed with flavours and spices, especially the cinnamon and nutmeg. In the middle of the cake is a layer of frosting, it is a bit too sweet for me so I took out most of them. The cake texture is okay, would be better if it could be more moist. The restaurant week menu also comes with coffee and tea that is refillable. A huge bonus! I do like to have some coffee / tea to cleanse my palette (and stomach!) after a good meal. Will I be back? Probably The restaurant week menu is a steal. Want to try more of their other cuts and see how they fair with other steakhouses in the city!

I rate one star for service. Their servers were fantastic! The food wasn't good. Not worth the money; the steak was really flat, with no flavor. The Mac and cheese was cold and I expected it to be delicious, but it wasn't . It was my daughter's birthday, and we made a reservation expecting an enormous supper, but it was not. The ambience was adequate; nevertheless, I was unable to view the menu due to the darkness, even with my glasses.

Delicious food and even better service! I came here for a work dinner and really loved the atmosphere. It seems like a popular work dinner location with lots of large tables. The staff was super friendly giving great recommendations for a family style dinner. They recommended the Benjamin salad and made it family style for our table of 6. I really loved the apples and dressing - great way to start the meal. Then we ordered two porterhouse steaks with the creamless cream spinach, asparagus, and Benjamin home fries. The steak was so tender and definitely premium quality. The creamless cream spinach was a table favorite along with the Benjamin home fries. We ended the meal with the pecan pie which was soooo flavorful. I love pecan pie and this pie lived up to my expectations and was the perfect sweet treat to end our meal.

Super disappointed. Came here with high expectations for a special meal. Lobster bisque. Great, I thought we were off to a good start. Filet Mignon. First off it came out as a moderate sized steak on a giant white plate, with zero plating, not even a sprig of parsley or drizzle of whatever. I know that plating is just for looks but c'mon if I'm paying steakhouse prices give me a sprig of parsley. Anyway. My steak was very mealy, and when the matire d asked I informed him of this. He blamed this on my ordering my steak medium. While I know that the "right" way to order steak is medium rare, I have never in my life before had a mealy steak so I know this is false. Mashed potatoes. Very good. Carrot Cake. Mediocre. Good cake, balance of cake to icing was off (no nice top of icing), and why was there a scoop of whipped cream? Whipped cream is great with something that doesn't already include icing, but with cake? Weird. Service was good, not steakhouse level great. We were never rushed, but likewise our waters sometimes went unfilled for a bit. Unlikely to return.

First time here, was visiting New York and wanted to try some place new. We stumbled across this place and I'm so glad we did. The steak was so good! You get a huge portion for two, the fries were also huge. The service was amazing! Everyone was so nice and accommodating. The ambiance was very date night, lowlights and a romantic atmosphere. I definitely recommend coming here and we will be back (: also try the cheesecake, you won't regret it!!!

Great place for a holiday meal. I took my team to Benjamin for lunch. We had a big party and arranged a menu beforehand. The meal covered appetizers main and dessert. Service was attentive and helpful. All enjoyed their meals. I'd definitely come back for another meal here.

Delicious food with exceptional attentive service , what more could you ask for in a steak house ? How about comfortable seating with some privacy but also friendly "neighbors" at the table "next door". We really enjoyed everything about it. The coat check, the bartender, the bar server, and the waiter and assistants.. really enjoyed everything about the dining experience here at Benjamin's..

One of the steak places people always say you should try, so we tried it. Conveniently located right near Grand Central Terminal, this is a good place to have a meal in the city, and then dash out if you live somewhere near the train in Westchester or Connecticut. We started off with the lobster bisque which was very tasty indeed. The rest of the meal was good, but nothing "great." The steak itself was perfectly cooked, and that is a bare minimum requirement at these prices and at an acclaimed NY steakhouse. The sides (we got the "non-cream" creamed spinach and the mashed potatoes) are completely uninspired and bland. Will have to try something different when we head back, but not having a good spinach or potato option at a steakhouse is disappointing to say the least. The ambiance is great, and the service is impeccable. Drinks were fast to come to the table, and made well. Try different sides and see how you feel.

The environment is very good, the steak is very cost-effective, and the restaurant is crowded. Fortunately, there are free seats. The 18oz bone-in rib eye is relatively rare, and the 9oz filet with seafood on skewers is also interesting. It is not grilled at low temperature and is fat, and the outer layer is crispy and has a good taste. The unit price in U.S. dollars is about the same as the steak in Frankfurt, but it's still better in New York. I tried oysters from the east (Long Island) and west coast (Washington State) of the United States. The east was large and the west was small, the east was sweet and the west was salty, but overall the quality was mediocre. But the special champagne sauce was pretty good. The waiters are very friendly and professional. The quality of the red wine is also very elegant, and it goes well with seafood and steaks.

I very much enjoyed our dinner celebrating our anniversary at Benjamin's. The ambience is classic, the area is not too crammed. Our service was truly top notch. The bread was delicious. They handed us each a glass of celebratory champagne since we were celebrating. They have a good wine list. My husband and I shared almost everything. The wedge salad was delicious, with thick juicy pieces of bacon and fresh blue cheese dressing. We shared a large ribeye steak which we could barely finish - it was a perfect steak. Overall this was a really nice experience in NY. The prices were not unreasonable either. Would come back

I feel like a trip to Benjamin's is a must for Restaurant Week every year. It's a wonderful dining experience, great deal, and the steak was top notch on my latest visit. Great spot to go with a group with!

I am absolutely believe the steaks are better than the other steakhouse in Brooklyn. The size, smell, texture and presentation was great. I can smell the sizzling butter after the steak arrived at the table. It wasn't too buttery, but perfect amount and right temperature. Our server was great. He listened and offered suggestion based on our interests and not the pricy and the hot sell item. The booking is very easier and they will text/call you to get a confirmation prior the scheduled time. The atmosphere is toward classic steakhouse, low lighting with white color tablecloth. The table fits four people and big enough for few appetizers. The bacon and big shrimp are must order appetizers. You can shared bacon with two to three people. If you have to pick between porterhouse vs tomahawk, then go with the steak! If you lucky, then you might ran into few table of Asian ladies (tourist) or other ladies night out for dinner : ) Overall great experience and wasn't as pricy as I expected which is a plus. The only reason they didn't get the five star because of the restroom is at the basement and they didn't offer free check clothes.

Food was delicious! The resturant week deal was so worth it! Lovely staff and quick service.

Second time at Benjamin's, but my first time celebrating Valentine's here. I knew to expect delicious food and excellent service, but the staff at Benjamin's really outdid themselves! The restaurant was effortlessly decorated with red rose petals scattered throughout and a single red rose on every table. Our pre-fix menu included a champagne toast, app, entree, side and dessert per person. Started with lobster bisque, boyfriend ordered the crab cake. Both were delish and we devoured within minutes. We shared the porterhouse for two with a side of creamed spinach (always a must) and home fries (so friggin good). Honestly we didn't finish our steak so leftovers it is ( I'm not mad haha). We took home a bottle of the famous steak sauce for my in-laws as they swear by this stuff. And for dessert we shared the tiramisu and cheesecake - how adorable all the little hearts on this?! Great night, awesome food, wonderful service. Will go back for sure!

The food is great, the ambiance is even better and the service is really top notch. I would easily put this in my top 5 steakhouses worldwide. My friend and I came for resto week and shared the calamari which was a big portion and a large slab of the Canadian bacon. We each got the steak which was perfectly cooked to our liking. Now for dessert, we each ordered the carrot cake but for the second time in a row they were sold out! They did upgrade our dessert which was great so I ended up with tiramisu and my friend got key lime pie. Both desserts were good portion sizes and we appreciated the odd resto week menu desserts. Service was great and food came out quickly!

I finally was able to check out Benjamin Steakhouse this week and wow, just wow. I have not stopped talking about the strip steak I had from here since I had it. This is undoubtedly one of the best New York institutions there is. The steak was cooked to perfection. I had no idea a former Peter Lugers employee started this restaurant, and it is no wonder why their standards are so high and their steak is so well prepared. The atmosphere is 10/10 - an old school steakhouse vibe. We also had the fries, creamed spinach, bacon, and oysters - all of which were excellent. I am already planning my next visit here and am genuinely excited to return.

I stopped into Benjamin Steakhouse for the restaurant week lunch special. The dining room is very attractive, and the tables are very large. I began with a Wedge Salad. The Salad was perfectly dressed, and the Bacon bits were just right. I ordered a petit Filet Mignon($10 supp.) and it was good, not great. I ordered a New York Cheese Cake for dessert. The cake was dense and flavorful, and the Raspberry sauce was just right. A very good experience. I'll be back.

Went here for a company dinner and it is one of the best steakhouses I've been to. Has the NYC steakhouse feel to it, without too many frills. They have multiple private rooms that come in handy to cater to team dinners with enough quiet, privacy and space. We ordered a few appetizers and main courses for all of us to share and the wait staff did a fantastic job of portioning them and serving around the table. Fries, crab cakes, mussels, onion rings, scallops etc were fantastic. The various cuts of steaks and seabass were all amazing. The wagyu and scallops deserve a special callout as they were incredibly tasty...

The best steakhouse in the city. In addition to superb cuts and exceptional service, they go over and above to make the experience special...truly memorable. My son and I celebrated his promotion with steaks and a fine Pauillac wine. The manager came over to ensure we were pleased with our experience.. I will always remember this as one of the proudest moments of my life.

I stopped by Benjamin's Steakhouse for dinner and the ambiance was low dim lights and good vibes. It was quite packed and I had to wait at the bar for a bit maybe 10 mins after my reservation time. The food was really delicious and I went for restaurant week to finally try it out. We had the calamari and caesar salad to start. The calamari was ok but the caesar salad was delicious. We had the sirloin steak which was made perfectly medium. We both got mash potatoes for sides which was nothing spectacular. To end the course we had the carrot cake and chocolate mousse cake. The carrot cake was surprisingly delicious probably the best I've had to date and I don't even like carrot cake. The chocolate cake was too sweet. We also had a cheesecake to go which wasn't the best to me. Overall I would definitely come back on a regular day to try out more from the menu. The service was really good but at times it did feel a bit rushed. I can understand wanting to keep things moving as restaurant week is pretty busy. I enjoyed my time here and will be back.

Personally one of my favorite steakhouses in nyc. I dined here on multiple occasions and always left happy and satisfied. The cream less spinach is always a must!

Very old school steakhouse interior and a bit smoky. Ordered the bone in rib eye. The outside was charred and inside was cooked medium rare as ordered. The meat was tough and needed horseradish and salt for flavor. The shishito peppers were a yummy side dish and the mashed potatoes were just meh. There are a lot of excellent choices in Manhattan so go forth foodies and spend your time, calories, and money wisely.

I want here to celebrate my boyfriends birthday, he's a huge meat enthusiast so he loves going to places for steak. To my surprise the hallway to the dining room was plastered with celebrities and politicians who have come to this restaurant. To name a few, the kardashians and the Obamas came here y'all. Anyways, the steak was absolutely delicious. The staff was very nice and and took off our jackets and set our chairs for us. I was pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed this experience and I want to come back.

Overall it's a nice place for dinner but very expensive. I would not go here if it was not a business dinner. Sides were all very good. I got the New York sirloin and it was good but nothing crazy special
