Berimbau Brazilian Kitchen opens a second new home at Midtown after being open for 14 years in the West Village. Still keeping its root of being a neighborhood restaurant serving up authentic Brazilian cuisine, culture, and joy, now also in Midtown Manhattan. We offer a modern take on the traditional dishes with a unique selection of flavorful and familiar fare, including Picanha, Moqueca Baiana, and our signature Feijoada. As home to New York’s first Caipirinha Bar, our guests enjoy delicious Cachaça cocktails alongside a variety of classic creations, including Old Fashioneds and Negronis. Featuring an interior design inspired by Brazil’s natural landscape, we invite you to savor in the sights, sounds, and tastes of our native country in an inviting, relaxed atmosphere.
"Berimbau takes their Happy Hour very seriously. Every weekday at 4pm, the Brazilian restaurant turns on the bossa and breaks out the caipirinha glasses for a festive dinner pre-game. The cocktail, available in six fruity flavors, has the ability to turn your deadlines into a distant memory, and manifest a beach party in your future. If you’ve been to Berimbau’s original West Village location, this second Midtown spot definitely caters to a more buttoned-up crowd. The spacious, polished dining room is a more tropical beach-themed than actual beach vibes—at least until the caipirinhas hit. It helps that they cost $10 each during “Brazilian Social Hour,” and are available alongside other discounted cocktails, as well as snacks like cheesy pão de queijo and shrimp croquettes. You may just end up staying for a dinner of steak and feijoada. photo credit: Vinicius Carvalho photo credit: Vinicius Carvalho photo credit: Vinicius Carvalho" - Neha Talreja
"To say that we have high expectations for Berimbau’s second location in Midtown would be an understatement. This Brazilian restaurant is equipped with a full caipirinha bar, and will also host a retail space for Brazilian brands. Plan to crush some feijoada before shopping for dende oil. " - Will Hartman, Willa Moore
"Berimbau is the best Brazilian restaurant in NYC. This narrow West Village spot separates itself in the details. They offer farofa with dende oil to match the flavors and consistency of the moqueca, while serving a bowl of bacon-studded farofa with the meat-heavy feijoada. That feijoada is packed with pork that has the pull-apart texture you’d expect from stewed meat, but with the bark and smoke rings you’d find after a slow-cook in a smoker. Before ordering a basket of stress ball-sized pão de queijo in the garden out back, stop at the curbside bar, and pick up a fantastic, not-too-sugary caipirinha." - Matt Tervooren
