Beautiful location. Quiet. Exquisite food. Not a wellness hotel.

Bio meals are prepared with much attention to detail and taste. The hotel has a pleasant family atmosphere with owners present at all times. The rooms are tastefully made with high quality materials. Books everywhere and wifi only in the reading room - great! We much enjoyed our second stay here and are sure to come back 🙂🙂🙂

It's our 2nd visit already. We highly recommand this restaurant which is located nearby the church, so very easy to find. We tried a local speciality (Bregenzer Spätzle with cheese that came with a mixed salad with at least 10 different ingredients) and sensational homemade ice cream for dessert: sour cream, baked apple and beetroot. They even offered us a small attention before we left. Everything was just perfect! Thank you for a very enjoyable visit :-)

This was our 5th visit to the Bregenzer Wald, and we stayed in the past in some very good hotels, but this was in our opinion the best. The food was very good, at least a one star michelin standard, the service very friendly and attentive. The rooms spacious, with a great view onto the countryside, we will be coming again!

The hotel Schwanen fits right into the curated lifestyle of this Austrian valley. Very clean and precise. The food is based on the precepts of the 12th century Hildegard von Bingen and is said to be the work of wild women, but don’t worry too much about that - it is really excellent. We stayed for five nights on half board and thoroughly recommend it. Friendly, helpful, staff and a splendid view from our room - no 33.

during our yearly Christmas vacation we came here two times for having lunch/dinner. We absolutely loved the food and the service. Great options for vegans/vegetarians. Prices are absolutely fine related to the quality of the food.

The title covers it all. We stayed with our family (6 adults and two kids) for 5 nights in Hotel Schwanen. ||||The rooms are spacious, comfortable, cosy, clean and have all the luxury you need (except perhaps a minibar / coffee making facilities, but you don't really need those). ||||We enjoyed half-board meals: breakfast is served on a buffet and is excellent (eggs on order). A 4-course diner was served: prepared by the host according to biological rules: high quality!! Good wines as well... just stick to the Austrian ones: they are perfect. ||||The hosts are very very friendly: they make you feel at home.||||Don't expect much Disco-Time in Bizau: it's a very quiet place to get some rest.... the reason of our visit.

Ive been a couple times here now and it is in a fantastic part of the world. The first time I came down from Munich and the second from Zurich. There's really nothing close as major towns go (Dornbirn is about 35 Min drive away) but you come here to get away from that. If you're headed into the Bregenz forest you want to be in nature. Bizau is about 1000 people and it's near world class skiing, paragliding it's a modern offering in a place that historically is very one with the nature around it, in an area that has a very long tradition with wood working, seen throughout the area. A short jaunt to Germany, Switzerland and Italy but also somewhat in the middle of nowhere. A great getaway to Austria's great natural resources
