Birdies

It is NO longer called Birdies. However, it is still a cute little café with excellent service, good tasting coffee, and soft fluffy donuts. As we were leaving, it did start to get a little busy, so be prepared.

I ordered from this place moments ago and I am absolutely shocked & terrified that there was a big metal in my husband’s chicken sandwich. He was eating the chicken sandwich and he almost broke his tooth because of complete negligence. I will never be ordering from this place again. WOW.

This place felt like a little league concession being run by junior high kids who have never worked in a restaurant in their life. Birdies may have been a good place (I never went) but it seems to have shut down and is "reopened" as Duchess. Duchess was a horrible experience and the food was terrible to mid at best. The staff, while very polite, did not seem like they knew how to run a restaurant. We had to repeat our order several times and they still forgot something. The chicken breading was inconsistently fried and flavorless. The cheese on my sandwich had cooled & hardened by the time it got to me. We basically only ate the fries, and they were just okay. The donut was also mid. Definitely nothing like pictures of it I'm seeing in reviews from a while back. The hot chocolate was just a gigantic cup of steamed milk with a tiny splash of syrup added at the end. It wasn't even mixed in. Basically, it seems like someone has tried to revamp this recently closed restaurant and they're doing a terrible job of it so far. Oh, and we couldn't see a health inspection rating anywhere.

The place is under new management or changes its name. Look for Duchess Service was good and no issues with taking my order or the food received. Food was great. The quality of the chicken was amazing and the sandwich was massive. Lots of options for donut flavors - recommend the pistachio lemon

Loved everything I tried here. First, and foremost, as you walk into the shop, the first thing you will see are these beautiful donuts, waiting for a kind heart to take them home 😁 I tried their breakfast burrito and it was spectacular. Their heat level did not disappoint, the quality of ingredients used was fresh and delicious! Also, tater tots are life and Birdies knows how to meet expectations on this front. Their donuts were exquisite and I thoroughly enjoyed their variety, which includes horchata and bacon-maple flavoured donuts. Their coffee offers are solid and, the most important thing is that everyone I interacted with was friendly, welcoming and very proactive. I loved my experience here and can't recommend it enough. Lastly, this place, like many places in LA, is pet-friendly 💜

It doesn’t matter if it’s called Duchess or Birdie’s the food is phenomenal. Breakfast burritos are my personal favs but the breakfast and lunch chicken sandwich’s are top tier. If you’re lucky they’ll have some of the iconic gold dusted donuts available. The other donuts are good too. Order ahead via an app or in person the cook time is usually around 12 to 17 minutes. This is a hidden gem in Downtown Los Angeles.

I walked by this place to pick up lunch I already ordered. I was mesmerized by the fresh , delicious smelling donuts! I walked in and had to get some. Ended up ordering their check sandwich was delicious as well. Small and cozy place to have a coffee and donut or have the lunch. Their hours are amazing extended for anytime of day or night. Only con: parking is horrible. No street parking and you have to pay $12 just to park for five minutes to get your food. It's not their fault though that's downtown for you lol.

Since we were sort of the in the area for Anime Expo, we grabbed some Birdies for a brunch before heading to the con. We got the: 1) Birdie Bites: -Scrumptious pieces of boneless wings? Popcorn chicken? It's bite sized breaded chicken. -Nice and delicately crispy on the outside and moist chicken meat on the inside. Good for a snack. 2) Horchata Twist: -This just tastes like a cinnamon glazed donut. It's in a long braid shape and there's a bit of caramel drizzled on top. -Not bad but it's just a standard donut. 3) Potato Salad: -Decently sized container of potato salad. -Less mayo-y and more peppery than other potato salads and came with a decent amount of celery bits inside as well. 4) BYO Burrito: -We got this with scrambled eggs, tater tots, bacon, and caramelized onions. -It's a medium sized burrito lengthwise and is stuffed to the brim. A bit greasy from the tots and caramelized onions but they helped to moisten up the scrambled eggs. -Solid breakfast burrito. For the sauce we got the chipotle mayo which had a nice initial kick, smoky taste, and nice lasting heat. Went great with the Birdie Bites and the BYO burrito. Knowing it was this good, I probably should have ordered more. Overall, not bad!

Chicken AND Donuts?! Let's goooo! Randomly found this place and I'm glad I did. The donuts are $3.50+ and are a pretty good size. I really liked the maple bacon one yum! Can't wait to try the chicken here. Such an awesome combo!

I was on my way to get a salad at Chipotle and decided to have a cheat day and get Birdies. LOL. I have never been, but have always seen on list to try, so I was pretty excited. I came close to closing time so there were not a lot of people in the restaurant. I looked at the menu and initially wanted some tenders and side order of fries. The person working there recommended that I get the nuggets because it comes to fries. So, I decided on that and I also decided to get a few donuts. The food came out in about 10 minutes, the person working there (I wish I got his name) was so nice. I would say the service was excellent. I decided to take out my order since it was close to closing time. I would say that the chicken was pretty good. You can tell they use fresh oil because the color was golden. The fries were also pretty good. I would say that I wish the chicken had a little bit of seasoning on it because by itself, it was slightly bland. But, they did give 2 sauces. I tried the chipotle and ranch. I would definitely go for the ranch. It was creamy and delicious. I will definitely get that next time. As for the donuts, I tried the strawberry chocolate and horchata. I prefer the horchata. It was a good mix of cinnamon. I will definitely come back for a chicken and donut fix. One thing that I do want to mention that parking can be a little tricky here since it is in downtown LA. But, if you go during non peak times, it will be easier to find street parking.

This place is dank!! I always thought it was going to be such a long line we got lucky the line got long after us. The food was cooked to perfection regret not getting dessert but probably wouldn't be able to eat it lol. The fries were really good too.

This is a smaller place, better for take away orders. Inside there's bar stools, and max of 3 parties can fit in. We've got the original birdies, yummy and a huge size. If you're craving a chicken sandwich, this is your spot. Potatoe salad was good, the coleslaw was not, needed more flavors or maybe some sauces. Good service.

Customer service here is great! As I looked around a bit confused, they helped me pick a combination of a spicy and original jr chicken sandwich. For some reason I have a sweet tooth today... so it is chicken with a side of donuts for me. They were very helpful and informative the whole time we were here. Cute shop with limited seating. We were lucky enough to get parking right in front, but since this is downtown, parking would be hit or miss. This is a good place for breakfast, lunch, dinner or snacky time. Order---- Jr chicken sandwich: one original, one spicy: Wow, so I only ate half of each to save room for a little bit of donut. The spicy one has a lot more flavor, I would probably stick to this one next time. The chicken was plump and moist. The pickles and slaw made the bite complete Blueberry Glaze donut: This donut is what I needed. Needed a little sweet after the savory spice, but still not too sweet. Since the donut is a little thicker, it was proportioned great with the blueberry topping. Lemonade: This is delicious and not too sweet either. Great on a warm day like today 83 degrees. And we got a refill since we ate in! Very picky on lemonades and this is a great one.

Between countless mom-and-pop shops and local chains, the Southern California donut market is as competitive as it is saturated. And from this competition, donut-eries have adapted and specialized. Enter Birdies, a sophisticated fast-casual venture developed to free-range fried chicken and premium donuts. The brick walls outside the DTLA shop are painted with a creative Albert Einstein mural. The interior opts for an industrial-chic aesthetic. The exposed HVAC system and warm, filamentous globe lights hang from the tall ceilings. Black-and-white hexagon tile decorates the floors. The unadorned menu lays against the slate gray wall on the left, above a colorful pastry display with classic and adventurous donuts alike. Noncontiguous wooden counters and iron barstools run along the exposed brick wall to the right. Uptempo contemporary R&B mixes with chatter among the staff. I arrived during the late weekday lunch service, and there was only one other patron. I opted for a Horchata Twist. The donut itself was simultaneously fluffy and chewy, reminiscent of the best traditional corner store imaginable. The frosting was interesting and enjoyable but admittedly safe, more of a cinnamon-forward maple flavor than unabashedly horchata. My donut ran $3, while more expensive offerings ran as high as $4.25. Between the price and execution, Birdies was a high-end spin on the classic donut shop, rather than a pretentious and overly ambitious artisanal store. If I wasn't already full after my Horchata Twist (and my preceding lunch), I definitely would have been game to try another variety -- the Pistachio Lemon Thyme will sadly have to wait until next time.

The breakfast burrito for birdies is the perfect morning dish hands down. Made with their famous fried chicken, scrambled egg, applewood smoked bacon, avocado, caramelized onion, cheddar cheese, ranch, chipotle mayo and tater tots. This burrito is the perfect balance of flavor and texture. Sweet, savory, crunchy, creamy and delicious. You can't go wrong with this. And the donuts are always fresh. The staff are always cool and friendly. The atmosphere is chill with lofi beats playing in the background. Be warned there's not much seating.

I'm pretty sure this place is permanently closed. There is no signage for the business and weirdly there is a business called "Duchess" that sells chicken sandwiches and a couple donuts next door to the original store.

Every time I eat here, the food is divine. I bought a sandwich, lavender matcha, two donuts and some chicken bites this week. I recommend the chipotle mayo. The flavors are out of this world and the chicken is fresh, delectable and always breaded and fried to perfection. I love a fried chicken sandwich with pickles and slaw. This sandwich is at the top of my list.

Above all, the 5 stars are for the friendly service. I was super excited to try the donuts and got great recommendations from the staff. They even squeezed the donuts to give me the softer ones, lol. Favorite flavor (although they were all good) was the blueberry cream with Captain crunch sprinkled on top. So light and delicious. Runner up was the pistachio lemon. It had a strong lemon flavor. Definitely need to come back to try new seasonal flavors and try their spicy chicken sandwich.

Tried this place for the first time today and it was INCREDIBLE! Two amazing things in one place...chicken sandwiches and donuts! plus they have breakfast sandwiches, wraps, and also drinks like coffee and lemonade which were amazing. The service was stellar. I went during lunch and it was very busy. The staff offered a free donut because I waited for a little bit longer than promised. Overall very pleasant experience and will definitely be going back!

Walking around at 10:30 AM looking for an open food place that's already serving lunch items and came across Birdie's, and we were reminded that we meant to come back to try their Chicken Sandwich. And we did. The Birdies Classic was delicious. That was a real whole piece of chicken bread, battered and fried to perfection. The bun was soft and warm. The coleslaw dressing was excellent. The Spicy Birdies Sandwich was also very good. The heat wasn't just coming from the sauce or batter: it was in the meat itself. At least that's what it felt like. There was no line to order. There was a bit of a wait before we got our food because they made it only after we ordered it. The Iced Tea was unsweetened and tasted awesome! There is a small bar seating area inside and a couple of small tables outside.

Place is cute and small but has enough stools and tables so you can munch on your donut or burrito. I walked in for coffee and got a chai latte instead and it was kinda weak, Donut was like a sticky bun - a filled sticky bun. I like the diff options on the donuts that's definitely a big plus. I'll be back for breakfast to try the burritos or sandwiches. Service was quick and they don't take cash bills over $20 so that was a bummer!

I loved the look and feel of the spot when you walk in. The employees were very friendly and gave their recommendations since it was our first time here. We tried the Nashville-style Hot Chicken Sandwich and Spicy Chicken Sandwich. They were not greasy at all, the crunch from the chicken *chefs kiss*. We have a high spice tolerance so for us it wasn't spicy enough but it did add good flavor! I also happen to be a sweet tooth so I was mostly excited for the donuts and they were delicious! I finished the horchata twist so fast. I get why it's their popular flavor! The sweetness level I'd say is subtle if you eat just eat one and save another for later.

Delicious donuts and chicken sandwiches! Perfect for a late night snack. Staff here are so nice and helpful. They even gave us a free doughnut! Would definitely return. Clean and inviting atmosphere.

One of popular place near south park, DTLA. Spicy chicken burger is really good , if you come here first, try a mini burger.. that will be good though! Great excellent gorgeous donuts. ;)

Birdies was so good I needed to have it twice before i flew out LA. Their spicy chicken sandwich was bursting with juice when you bit into it but what really set them above the rest was their spicy ghost pepper sauce. It had both the heat and the complexity to make you question why you are sweating with joy. The buns were soft and warm while the Cole slaw provided the perfect balance to the heat. The chicken fingers and the donuts were above average imo. Definitely go for the sandwich. will recommend a visit!

I can not rave enough about this place!!! The people were the freaking best! Seriously so personable and nice. I felt like I was family in there. The guy recommended the horchata donut, he said that was their best seller! So we had to get it, and it did not disappoint! Such unique flavors on a donut! The chicken sandwich had the most delicious sauce I've ever had. I'm still dreaming about it. This place is open until 3 in the morning on weekend for those late night munchies, If I lived in la this would be my second home. Seriously the space was so warm and welcoming, we ate inside but they had outside seating as well. If you are in la please visit this place!

this place is so aesthetically pleasing, but the food was nothing out of the ordinary for me birdies spicy: the only thing spicy is the pepper inside the sandwich, which can get pretty spicy. but the sandwich itself is pretty mild. it isn't the best chicken sandwich i've had but it is pretty decent birdies tenders: very crispy and i love the ghost chili mayo with it. i wish it was a little more seasoned strawberry shortcake donut: this was my favorite thing i ate here. i love how fluffy the donut was and the frosting was not overbearingly sweet iced honey rose matcha latte: i did not like this drink- it was lacking in flavor of both matcha and rose service: very quick and friendly service parking: you can park in the alleyway adjacent to the store if you're picking up but there is limited street parking for longer stays

Got the takeout from birdies so I'm rating only the food. The nuggets and fries were a tad dry and the sauce was a bit generic so 3/5 is fair. I had some seasoning at home that I sprinkled on top. I do like their location. There's no much else happening around there so I appreciated any restaurant in the area. Id go again to try the chicken sandwich.

One my recent trip to Los Angeles I decided since I was staying downtown to eat there as well. Looking for a breakfast place I stumbled upon Birdies which was a few blocks from my hotel. Greeted by the employee behind the counter the went over all of the flavors of artisanal donuts that were in the case and also went over the savory menu as well. I was already committed to the Birdies Original and got a dozen donuts for my friends and to take home. The Birdies Original is a double battered fried chicken sandwich topped with a buttermilk sauce, cheese and veggies( I believe lettuce, carrots and pickles) and cheese on a fresh baked roll. This is hands down the best chicken sandwich I ever ate. The crispness from being double battered and that buttermilk sauce were out of this world and the fresh bun was the cherry on top! The donuts were just as delicious as they looked. It's easy to put icing and toppings on a donut and hope they come out well but these donuts had excellent flavor and textures on their own. The Boston Cream, maple bacon and horchata twist were my favorites. Make sure to visit Birdies when in downtown LA.

I've been coming to Birdies since 2016 when I first moved to LA. Love the chicken sandwiches and the service in the restaurant is always A+.

A good donut and coffee can never be a bad combo, and I swear their hochatta donut can be eaten with anything (please be advised you may bite your finger off) the staff was super friendly and at the time had samples of a donut out in the event you were a little skeptical.

Nice little spot that serves coffee, donuts, and fried chicken! The donut selection looked really good but wasn't in the mood for sweets, will come back for those though. The person helping us was really kind and welcoming. Few tables inside to eat or sit until food is ready. Birdie's original: 8.5/10 The chicken patty was huge! A bit scary for me at first because I thought it was gonna be more breading and not enough meat. I was wrong, there was plenty of meat and lots of crunch! Just missing the juiciness. The buns were just okay, wish it was buttered a tad and warmed up a little longer. The coleslaw, pickles, cheese, and mayo really compliment the chicken without taking too much away.

Donut-wise: the cookies and creme & strawberry shortcake donuts were sweet and stuffed, but the cream filling was surprisingly light and airy. We had the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich and Original Chicken Sandwich - both had a large fried chicken breast and just enough toppings. It was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, no extra sauce or anything was needed. I'd recommend taking to-go since parking and seating's limited.

THE BEST chicken sandwiches. I love coming here every year during The Game Awards and getting the original. It's not far from the microsoft theater and super cozy and chill. the staff are always kind. cannot recommend this place enough. it's one of my all time favorite.

This breakfast sandwich is FIRE!!! A friend recommended Birdies because we were staying nearby and I'm pretty sure I will forever be dreaming about this sandwich. First of all, it is massive. The fried chicken is cooked so tender and it isn't greasy or oily. The combination of that with the egg, sauce and bun were all just heavenly. It will put you into a food coma in the best way possible. Besides delicious chicken sandwiches, they also have donuts. They offered us a sample mini donut which was really good. I liked their cake donuts more than the yeast ones.

This was my first time At birdies and my first bite Was both juicy and crispy The staff was warm, welcoming, And professional. If I lived downtown I would definitely be a regular customer. The vibe is cozy it looks like your favorite Punk rockers kitchen without The posters and red candles I'll be dropping back here for sure Even if it's just for a horchata latte No matter what you order I think You'll enjoy the experience and food

Love love loved a spontaneous Yelp find when I was in DTLA! Nick and Kai friendly and suggested I try the Birdies Spicy chicken sandwich and a caramel apple crunch (since I mentioned I love cinnamon & spice) to end my night after a night out dancing. This place is so cute I literally thought I was walking into a donut bar then BAMM they had a full on menu! I mean cmon sweet and savory ... best of both worlds!!! To top it off they open super early 7:30am until late night after hours 3am during the weekends!!!! Like no other for sure! Come to San Diego!

This is probably the biggest chicken breast I have had in a chicken sandwich and it was super juicy! Breading on the minimal side - didn't get any textural crunch, but still good! Wish it had more coleslaw and pickles in the sandwich. Doesn't come with extra condiments like you would expect such as Cluck n' Blaze or Dave's which gives you their mayo based dipping sauce for free - hence the lost in one star. Otherwise, folks here were great and the ambiance is casual.

Always enthusiastic about finding another great spicy chicken sammy spot. Friends in town for wrestlemania found this spot, birdies, nearby the Los Angeles Convention Center. Glad i tried the coleslaw instead of the fries because it was a lott of heavy food. Coleslaw was not very good though. Felt old. I wouldn't go out of my way to go here again but maybe it's just my weighted down fried food belly speaking. The medium hot nashville wasn't very hot at all. They also didn't close the coleslaw all the way so it was dripping in the to-go bag this is what brings the rating down to a 3 on top of an unsurprising chicken sandwich and coleslaw that left something to be wanted (freshness and a hint of acidity and sweetness). They did have friendly service and a good amount of regulars coming in for a coffee or quick donut for their kids.

Great service from the team member but overall was left wanting more. Donut was ok, but nothing spectacular. Chicken was greasy and ranch was not good. Wish I liked the food more as the employees were dope!

I felt like I drove 30 minutes to DTLA and ended up in heaven! Birdies has my top 3 favorite food items; coffee (intelligentsia), donuts and fried chicken. This triple combination was a dream come true for me !!! I ordered the breakfast sandwich with fried chicken, fried egg and bacon. The sandwich was dreamingly good! It's my new favorite fried chicken sandwich. The fried chicken didn't taste greasy or oily. The sauce that it came with had a perfect hint of spiciness. The quality of the chicken meat was amazing. I also tried the pistachio lemon thyme donut and I loved it! It wasn't too sweet or too tart. The owner was offering samples. I liked it so much I bought one. The flavor was just perfect. I got the glazed one too and it was yummy. I ordered ice latte with oat milk and I had no complaints. For parking you can find metered parking and it was around $2 for 2 hours which gave us plenty of time to feast. There's limited seating inside with 4 tall bar stools and 2 tables outside with 2 chairs each. I still can't believe there's actually a restaurant that serves 3 of my favorite foods. All in all a great way to start my Saturday. Much much love to the owners for not only coming up with this genius concept but also excellent in delivering delicious high quality food. Thank you !

I've eaten here so many times. It's my fav chicken place. They also have amazing donuts and coffee. Since I've had the whole menu I'll give all my feedback. Original sandwich: perfection. Comes with this delicious crème fresh, coleslaw, and pickles, which are my favorite. Breakfast sandwich: I recommend the fried egg and chicken combo. There is a sauce on this that is crazy good. It has a little bit of kick to it. My favorite sandwich. The flavors *chef kiss Spicy sandwich: I can only do white person spicy so this was to hot for me. Fries: I am not a fan of their fries. They are kind of basic. Potato Salad: Instead of fries I recommend the potato salad. It has a similar flavor to the crème fresh on the original sandwich. It's amazing. Also, according to spell check I have no idea how to spell potato Donuts: my favorites are strawberry, banana foster, and horchata. They are all really good. The staff is always friendly. It can get really busy during meal times so please be patient, it's a small place. There is very limited seating (I think like 8) so might have to take it to go. Also, they offer rewards if you go there a lot. I appreciate that from places. Oh, and street parking is a bitch. I do have one negative thing too say, sometimes they play rock music and it's a bit sensory overwhelming for me. I miss the rnb they used to play. All in all 10/10. Must visit Downtown LA spot.

Donuts and Fried chicken everything at 7:30 am? YES PLEASE! So incredibly satisfying to satiate that craving. They are open and serving at 7:30 am every day. Open to 9 pm every night plus 3 am on Saturday for the late night partiers! It was all delicious. I especially loved the small touches: 1. The heat was in the slaw topping of the spicy chicken sandwich. 2. The over easy egg on the chicken egg and bacon breakfast sandwich. Breaking the gooey yolk all over the insides pushed the burger to the next level of fatty richness. 3. The avocado in the breakfast burrito turned an otherwise dry burrito into magic status. There's a paid lot behind the building. Go down the small driveway. Staff is super friendly and nice. There is minimal high top counter seating inside. Seriously there might have been 5-6 chairs. I'd breakfast here again.

I honestly think I found the best chicken sandwich on the planet. I can't believe how great this same was! Im coming back for another one! Customer service was excellent and who ever was working 6pm tonight did a great job. I love the vibe of this shop super cute!

Yo this place is a 10/10! Kai's service was incredible and helped us choose which sandwiches to get. The chicken was fried to perfection! The flavors are wonderful. We had the original and the spicy. Spicy was my favorite my husband like the original better. Maple donut was soft and delicious, and they use Intellegencia coffee so GOOD!

Just a quick review for these fine people at birdies. Birdies restaurant has been a fixture in downtown LA for many years. their main stays are fantastic custom donuts and wonderful blazing fried chicken sandwiches. the staff is always helpful, responsive, and friendly. Now, There is some wait time for fresh fried chicken sandwiches, so please be patient their. It's about 10 to 15 minutes. This is because they are cooking your food and it tastes really great. Parking can be challenging so give yourself some time. I want to formally thank the owners and staff of birdies for their consistently delicious food and making downtown LA a much better place .

OMG. SO SO GOOD. Chicken sandwiches are epic. And the donuts!!! Spicy is just right.

Deliciousness inhaled in 60 seconds! No joke! Wow!!!! That was a deeelicious chicken sandwich! I got the spicy chicken sandwich and fries....oh and a glazed donut :-p lol Aye aye aye!!!! Stopped in after seeing a show at the Orpheum and holy cannoli! The sandwich was actually spicy (not super spicy for me but great!) with a nice kick! Flavorful juicy chicken breast with a yummy spicy Mayo (I think ghost chiles) and pickles...yum! Fries were hot and yummy! Got a side of ranch and chipotle sauce and I suggest to get both! So good! Glazed donut reminded me of when I was little and would get the glazed donuts at Dunkin Donuts in queens NY with my grandma! Brought me back! Just yummy! :-) Easily one of the best chicken sandwiches I've had (although different, I put howlin rays in that category too). We will definitely be back! Customer service was nice and friendly! 2 guys working the front (Fri night 5/6/22 9pm).

I rarely write a review from a Postmates order, or for a place that I've only had once but this spot impressed me. It was late at night and I had a case of the munchies and decided to order up Birdies. I assumed the donuts would deliver fine, but that the sandwich would be tepid with soggy buns when it arrived. The opposite was true... I got the Original Chicken Sandwich, sauces on the side, and what arrived was so fresh, bursting with flavor, all on a fresh and bouncy bun. It was served with a slaw which totally worked for me and wasn't too sweet. I'm still dreaming about this sandwich - 5 stars all the way. I got two donuts. The Horchata donut was my absolute favorite (5 stars) and the white chocolate strawberry was quite good too, though that donut came in at 4 stars. Solid spot, would happily order again!

Wow! I have tasted many chicken sandwiches in my day, and I have lived in several states. Birdies has created a robust, moist , almost too big for my mouth, chicken sandwich!! Unlike some chain restaurants that simply put a spicy powder on their chicken, Birdies uses real food, homemade dressings to create a multi level flavor experience. Kai, the manager has sunshine and professionalism, wrapped up in his welcoming personality. He made suggestions (since it was my first time) that were spot on. His store is clean and well-kept. If you are in the area, you will want to check out this little gem. So, if you're looking for a huge variety, you won't find it. You WILL find perfectly cooked chicken, good fries, delicious donuts as a dessert, and that is what they are great at. Be warned... Bring a hungry appetite! The value is unbeatable.

It is time for a review update. It's been about 6 years since my last visit and I don't know why I waited so long. My son and I came here on a Friday night after watching a show at the Microsoft theater. We ended up walking which was about a 12 min walk from the theater... We were greeted right away by Kai and Daniel. First off I have to say they were so niceeee. Daniel offered samples of their donuts. I really enjoyed the strawberry cream and my son liked the oreo donut. For our meal I ended up getting the original chicken sandwich and my son got the birdie bites with fries. I seriously forgot how amazing their chicken sandwich truly is. The blend of their sauce and the cheese and not to mention the warm brioche bun and that thick, juicy chicken. Holy moly that sucker was thick and so damnnnn juicyyyy. I savored every single bite and I truly was in heaven taking bite after bite. My son ate all of his birdie bites and enjoyed his meal as well. It was around 11pm and I was a little concerned for safety and Kai was so sweet and went ABOVE AND BEYOND by actually taking the time to walk us back half way so we were safe. Not many people would do this but he was so genuine and caring I will never forget this thoughtful gesture and I am deeply grateful for him keeping us safe. My son was very appreciative as well. They definitely give Howlin Ray's some competition. I have to say Birdies is one of my favorites. I love the late night hours and I definitely will be back and highly recommend them.

Came in at 10 and there were so many people inside. The chicken looked amazing but we were told the wait time was around 40 minutes so we went with donuts and drink instead. That's not gonna effect the rating because a restaurant being busy is a stupid reason for deducting points. We got a mango lemonade, iced coffee, glazed donuts and the strawberry shortcake donut. My partner said her Iced Coffee was good but the Mango lemonade was very very sweet. Ended up adding water in with every sip to try to water it down a little. The glazed donut is just the standard one, a little cold but the flavor was right. Partner said the strawberry shortcake was very sweet like a dessert, but she did throughly enjoy it. One thing we noticed was that we were given the drinks but they seemed to have forgot about our food as we waited for a couple of minutes as they did seem a little busy but everyone else was getting their donuts right after ordering and they seemed to have just forgotten ours.
