Blu Cantina - Review - East Atlanta Village - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"During the day, Blu Cantina in EAV is relatively quiet. Hit the Tex-Mex restaurant for lunch or dinner, and you’ll see a few tables of people munching on chips and guac or Blu Catina's very average shrimp taco. On nice sunny days, the patio is an excellent place to hang out with some friends and split a margarita pitcher. But at night, it’s another story. There’s a DJ, upbeat music, and the place is packed with people enjoying a pre-club frozen drink. Grab a hookah and a seat (if you can find one) and start your night off strong with a shot or two." - Juli Horsford

The Whiskey Project Opening in Roswell Will Carry 1000 Whiskeys - Eater Atlanta

"Blu Cantina is set to open soon in East Atlanta Village, taking over the now closed Tomatillos space. The building has been refreshed with a new paint job. Blu Cantina had suddenly closed last summer in Castleberry Hill after the roof collapsed following heavy rain." - Beth McKibben

Went for a birthday gathering and had a blast. The music was on point, the food was hot and fresh and soooo good. Then chicken empanadas was packed with flavor and thick. Wings cooked perfectly. Definitely will be good back for a good time.

I went here for the R n B Bingo night, and it was so much fun. My waitress was so attentive and checked on me since i was by myself it was greatly appreciated. My taco salad was very good flavorful, and my Hennessey margarita was also not overbearing and flavorful. Thank you Chris was funny and interactive with the crowd.

Craig Johnson

Google
Taco Tuesday was great. They allowed us to sit outside which was great for our large group. The music inside was a bit much, not sure it would've been a good experience if we had to stay inside. Staff wiped down every seat and table for us, accommodated our group that just trickled in for about an hour, and even split the check despite the multiple tickets. The $2 special were surprisingly DELICIOUS. I'm sure the whole staff is great, but the manager and our server Essence were phenomenal.

Google
Came here late for dinner one night, looking for something quick and relaxed. What I did not realize was that this place is moreso a hookah bar than a Mexican restaurant. Music was very loud, and we may have been the only people there for food rather than hookah. However, the food came out fairly quickly and exceeded expectations. Tasty and good value for the price. I would consider going back now that I know what to expect.

Google
This was my first time visiting but my family live in the area and frequently visit. My thoughts… the music was very loud and the service was just okay. The waitress never really checked on us. She took the drink order and food orders and a while in between. The food didn’t take too long to come out. The jerk empanadas were extremely spicy and I’m a spicy lover. The pitcher of the original margarita was really good and did what it was supposed to do. Gratuity was included but I didn’t see it on the electronic device and ended up tipping over the amount they initially added. I didn’t get pictures of all of the food. I’m sure I’ll be back but it wouldn’t be my first choice and I would probably eat before going.

Google
There's nothing really special that stands out about this place. Drinks are ok, wings are ok, service is ok. Not in my top 10. I went because a few friends wanted to go🤷🏾‍♂️

Randy

Google
Food was good, server near bar took care of me. What I ordered was good. Music wasn’t loud or crazy.

Google
The vibe and dj was cool..10/10. However, I bought a house margarita $15 and fries with tax and tip total was $27.70! And that margarita sucked...

Yelp
they should shut this place down ASAP! ordered two shrimp tacos, a side of guac with extra sour cream and for pickup you must use uber eats. Waited out front until order was ready, went inside and was greeted by no one. Went to the bar, inquiring about to go orders, the staff member then said to go is down there. Not really sure where down there is so I made my way through the people smoking hookah and drinking at stood at the end of the bar. Waited for another staff meme er to come out from the back, she could tell I was perplexed. Shared that I was here for order pickup. She brought my food from the back. I get to my BFs house after flight from a work trip, sit down to eat and the tortilla chips were stale, the tacos were cold, no extra sour creams even though I paid. All in all, the food, the establishment and its team members are trash. Ended up tossing tacos in trash. DO NOT MAKE YOUR WAY IF CRAVING MEXICAN

Yelp
definitely a good time I didn't know it was only tacos but I came for bingo lol . Im a bit greedy so of course I ordered a taco. Fried chicken taco was well seasoned and pretty tasty. So was the Hennessy margarita. The chirp needed a dipppmg sauce but all well worth the $30 bucks spent. The servers and dj were all nice and accommodating . The vibe was good and everyone was to be enjoying the party and bingo game everyone was playing. Definitely a warming experience I'll be back with friends

Yelp
Recently went with a couple friends for a R&B Bingo on Wednesdays. Loved the free parking!!! We had a great time, good music, good food, good drinks, and probably the best hookah I've had in a while in Atl. Cool casual evening with the girls!

Yelp
Date: 9/2024 Service: 5/5 Service in my opinion has always been good to me! Really love the bartenders, the hookah guy, and management. Prices: 4.5/5 The tequila flight for $20 is a deal. Food prices aren't amazing at regular price, but happy hour does have a couple of deals. Ambiance: 5/5 Whether the DJ is playing extra loud music or the game is playing, I enjoy all vibes at all times. I find myself around positive and talkative people, sharing positive experiences and celebrating things like birthdays, happy hour, and girls night out in this establishment. I love when they have Security for the later nights, it makes me feel safe. Drink Taste/Textures: 5/5 I definitely have much more to drink than to eat. And I've never had a huge issue, although my partner has reported being sick after taking the tequila flight. Food Taste: 2/5 This is not a place where I will eat on purpose. Tried the turkey tacos and would not even feed them to my pet. Didn't enjoy the taco salad, but I have no interest in eating here, hit or miss for me. Hookah Taste: HIGHLY consistent and well. Prices are not worth it besides happy hour, I believe the hookah is like $45 any other time. Value: 10/5 You can't really be a fun and relaxed vibe with affordable options and just good energy all around TLDR: I've been here three times in as many weeks and safely call this place a neighborhood spot. The last time I was here was on a Monday. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had games out like Uno tic-tac-toe, and connect four. No DJ and a quieter night, but the game was playing. I've also been here on several themed nights and have had nothing but good times.

Yelp
Visited Blu Cantina on Glenwood Road on 08/20 around 10 PM for Taco Tuesday. The kitchen was fully open, as expected for an Atlanta restaurant/lounge at that time. However, the overall experience left much to be desired.Upon entering, neither my friend nor I were greeted. Several other guests seemed just as confused about the seating situation as we were. After finally flagging down a waitress, we learned it was open seating, but the lack of clarity was frustrating. Once seated, it felt like there were no assigned servers--every employee walked past us without a word or acknowledgment. It took about 10 minutes before anyone asked if we had been helped. Once we finally got some service, my friend ordered the fish tacos with fries, and I opted for the Taco Tuesday queso and a turkey taco. The wait times were excessive: 15 minutes for the fries, another 20 minutes for my queso, 15 minutes more for my single bland taco, and then another 16-20 minutes for my friend's tacos. Despite the delays, we decided to stay. The server was very transparent and apologetic, which I appreciated, earning one star. The other star goes to the fries, which were the only highlight of the meal.Overall, the service and experience at Blu Cantina need significant improvement.

Yelp
Came in and sat and the bar... the ladies were exceptional. From previous reviews I was expecting the typical blk experience but it was actually nice and friendly! I WAS WELCOMED AT THE DOOR! The restaurant was clean and giving "vibes" , I saw a hookah and the blu lighting set the tone.. IT IS HAPPY HOUR and can only speak on this experience. I first ordered a margarita which was delicious and balanced! I also had the sampler with empanadas, poppers, and guacamole! All of which was great!! The music added to the happy hour energy. I'd definitely recommend this time of day... I'm giving 4/5 stars because the neighborhood had a water main break and my buddies restaurant across the street was closed and I came here. Not until later did I wonder how they washed their hands. But... fuk it I'm from the hood and literally had worst!

Yelp
I ordered thru uber eats, burrito meat was dry.. my sides were incorrect.. and no fault to them my order arrived cold

Yelp
It's an ok place with an ok vibe lol I went for my friend's birthday. It was taco Tuesday but I wasn't too impressed. Chicken tacos are the only type of tacos offered and you can't alter them. So I got two shrimp and one chicken. I rather pay more and be satisfied. Well I wasn't satisfied. The shrimp and the slaw mixture were actually pretty good but I didn't care too much for the shells used for the chicken or shrimp tacos. They were flour and just didn't do it for me. The DJ was nice. He had a good mix going. Engaged lots that were there. Even gave my friend the mic so she could sing and talk out loud for her birthday. Our server was kind of slow but I gave her some grace since there were only two servers tending to the entire restaurant. I probably won't go again on my own but if my friend wanted to go, I would with her. It's not my scene but has potential to be a cool little kickback unplanned.

Yelp
BAD BUSINESS!!! I won't go into a thesis on my experience at Blu Cantina, but I left feeling taken advantage of and nothing that could be done about it other then to post a review. Food is not very good. Drinks overpriced. Yet, with those negatives I would have supported the establishment again so these places can stay in business. The nail in the coffin is the 20% mandatory gratuity. I typically tip 20% or more anyway, but the service was bad and didn't warrant 20%. They also messed up my bill and charge me for something that I was made to believe could be substituted. When we pointed out that they did not say there was an additional charge, the girl just shrugged her shoulders with an attitude. It's not about the money, but rather the principle. I won't be back.

Yelp

Yelp
I came here for the #LifeStyledHonors kick off Karaoke party and it was a VIBE honey! The place was packed the DJ was doing his thing and the people were full of energy. The staff did a great job checking in on us and getting us what we needed for the most part. I had never had the wings here, so I was unsure which flavor to get, so my greedy self had to get a variety. I got the Sweet lime chili (wet) and the Mexican fire (dry rub), they were both delicious. We also ordered nachos and eggrolls (never thought I'd see eggrolls at a Mexican spot LOL). They have signature drinks, so I had to try the peach whiskey margaritas, not bad. I also noticed they had a cocktail that called for Taylor Port... If you are on social media, then you know there is a hype about this wine and what it supposedly does... So I had to try it :) Overall I had a great time here with my friends, the drinks and wings were flowing, and the vibe was EVERYTHING!
google avatar

Stephanie J.

Yelp
Everything my friends and I ordered was delicious. The drinks were great and so was the Hookah. We sat outside because the music was too loud for us to hear each other talk. Overall I really loved this place and even went back a few days later for take out because the food is that good!

Yelp
Stepped out to meetup with one of my friends. As usual I'm ready before her so I had some time to kill so I headed to east Atlanta village and went in for a drink at Blue Cantina. While inside i saw a few people in costume for Halloween. I found a table which needed cleaning, as I approached the table a young lady by the name of KEY told me she would clean it first. Not only did she clean the table, she was my waitress for my time there. I placed a order for a appetizer/patron margarita special for $10. The margarita was done right, so was the appetizer. Music selection was OK to the point I ordered a hookah and after 1hr met up with my friend. I really didn't wanna leave after I started chillin/vibing Lol. I would definitely come back to Blue Cantina. If you decide to go ask for Key for really great service.

Shakina R.

Yelp
Our server Bre was great! Excellent service. The food was good, fresh, and hot. I had the carne asade tacos with black beans and rice, which was delicious. I would definitely eat lunch here again, and not to forget the chill and quiet vibe during the day with good music. Loved it!
google avatar

Yelp
Hopefully this shows the restaurant how quickly an experience can go to one star. Our server was friendly, fast, and attentive. Our wings and drinks were good. My friends were enjoying the hookah The DJ was grooving and giving the perfect ambiance. When we were seated I did take note of the table limit. That's fine, I've been to several establishments with a table limit, not a problem at all. The problem was AS SOON as we closed our checks, security came to the table and said "y'all gotta go". There were still very empty tables and booths, and there wasn't a wait outside for tables. For that reason Blu Cantina won't get another opportunity to tell me or anyone I know "you gotta go".

Yelp
I dont have a real review as we popped in after leaving a spot close by. I had already eaten so we just had a drink and chilled. The vibe & dj was cool. I look forward to returning to fully experience Blue Cantina

Yelp
Update: suns out and the patio is closed in! Yes! The owner did this right. Taco Tuesday is my favorite now at this location. Desiree was our server and she made amazing recommendations. She recommended the Hennessy Margarita with Pineapple! Best summer pitcher I've ever had. Knocked our usual watermelon off the pedestal. She also recommended the blueberry hookah and it was perfect. She was attentive and hospitable. The entire staff here was awesome tonight. The server, food runner and manager. The patio is now enclosed with a small lounge, high and low tops with umbrellas. The decor is too cute! The food was good. Which is never the issue the food is always consistently good. I love the decor upgrades done. The darker concept brought the warmth like the older location on Peter's. The DJ was great. It was busy for a Tuesday. I definitely will be back for Tuesday this summer.

Yelp
This place was a 10 out of 10 and their wings are on point! They played music on a Friday night but it was all love and a good time. The staff will interact and sing along with you to the music. I strongly suggest you visit, the parking sucks if you aren't there early.

Yelp
Alright so I've patronized blue cantina before ; and even after my reviews I would've still came back and edited for this specific review. This is my first time here during the week (Tuesday) they have $2 tacos and shots -- my table ordered almost all full price items and also the special items and the Server was HORRID. We sat by 9:15 server didn't come to the table until 9:45 Strike 1) some of our food came right out within 15 minutes and everything else after that went down the drain . I ordered a strawberry margarita ... it never even saw the table strike 2) , we as a table (party of 6) ordered two hookahs -- she never placed the order for the hookahs --I know this because I got up and personally asked the hookah attendant if they got an order for our table . She didn't come ask or check on our table until 3 out of the 6 of us at different points got up to physically go find her . She was unapologetic and just asked if we still wanted the items we had ordered over an hour ago-- my table was all upset so we just asked for checks. We also asked for the manager 3 times. It wasn't until the third time he actually appeared and diverted fault to the fact they were understaffed; which isn't the Customers problem -- I've worked in food service and I know how understaffing can be a good tip day if proper service is provided-- or piss poor service can result in negative reviews as such. Also that simple communication in the beginning may have helped us understand the slow service BEFORE we all got mad . Masks were not enforced; however ID required-- no temperature checks; some of the staff had masks and gloves, others including our server had no ppe. The tables were wiped down between use but didn't seem to have any extra extensive cleaning . No social distancing. It was a bar with bar type energy. Some ppl kept their masks on while waiting for food and drinks others didn't even have one. Literally my worst experience here; my friends and I frequent here for the wings; service isn't always particularly great; but I know to expect better than this. The rating is 3 stars as it's honestly a hit or miss . There peach bourbon wings are definitely Holding down 2 of 3 stars and the last one is contingent on service .

Yelp
BLU Cantina is currently open and open late. There is options for dine in, even for groups. Parking is limited, on the street or small parking lots around the area. The food here is amazing. The fried chicken tacos had so much flavor! The rice and black beans were a great side with the tacos. The wings were big and had a lot of flavor options. The vibe and ambiance was perfect. The staff was very friendly. I was very happy with BLU Cantina and will definitely be back! Check it out!
google avatar

Paige H.

Yelp
The food is always good. The drinks can be hit or miss depending who is behind the bar. The service is always going to be horrible. The vibe is good if you can overlook the attitude from the servers and the fact that the manager has one as well. Honestly, just get your food to go.
google avatar

Kiah R.

Yelp
Small establishment with indoor & outdoor seating. There WILL be a line if it's crowded. Parking is extremely limited & they do ID before entry. They have food, hookah & drinks. The DJ was nice and had tvs everywhere. I wasn't a fan of the food, it was bland. Got tacos & chips and guacs. I'd eat somewhere else before coming here.
google avatar

Joni R.

Yelp
The food is mostly good. I love the seasoned tortilla chips. The service is mediocre. Last time I ordered 2 fried chicken tacos and got steak. It was door dash so I dealt with it. This time I ordered 2 chicken tacos for take out when I arrived the food hadn't even been started. So I had to sit and wait for them to prepare my food. I would have just left but I pre-paid. SMH. The server was defensive - unreasonably made me feel like I shouldn't have said anything at risk she would do something weird but whatever. I'm done supporting this business. On to the next.

Yelp
A group of military from different branches of service had a meeting in the area. A birthday boy was asked where he wanted to eat, and he chose here. We walk in and it's all black inside. We're seated and I'm looking at the menu. Good options. Weird smell. I look up and notice people smoking hookahs. Damn Marine birthday boy. At this point I'm not expecting much for the food but we order and damn the food is good. Like really good. Everyone is loving it, even those Army types. Our waitress was awesome. The noise level rises. The music gets loud. We walk out and I notice the music is loud as there's a DJ spinning near the front door. There's now bouncers outside the doors. There are people in their cars blasting music. It's still daylight and if I remember correctly, a Tuesday. I guess this turns into a club? If you don't want to eat during a club scene go early. If I returned to the area I would totally go back for the food. And I'm a picky Air Force type. Damn Marine. Found a great eatery that was exciting to boot.

Yelp
I'm not sure why they have such a low rating as I enjoyed my visit here. First can I say I appreciate the hot water in the bathroom. Too often places have cool/cold water. They have special prices before 5:00 pm. The customer service was good. You walk in and seat yourself. They probably should post a sign as if it's your first time you kinda stand there awkwardly. The food though. The nachos were delicious. They were loaded! I hate when I end up with lonesome dry chips...this will not happen here. The wings were good too. I got the peach bourbon. Nice flavor. They are hard fried. The quesadilla was just ok for me. Most people would probably love it though. It's stuffed with chicken. My son loved it. Like I said this place is a winner. Delicious food, clean bathrooms, great music and friendly people. I will definitely return..and often as this is super close to me.

Yelp
The vibe was okay, but the food was pretty much all sub-par, unfortunately. Especially for the city. Guacamole actively tasted like they'd thinned it down with mayonnaise. Veggie tacos were well-seasoned, but the rice and beans looked and tasted like a college student cooked them up in their dorm. My partner's burrito was also mediocre. Staff was polite! Wish I could give a better review.

Jessica J.

Yelp
I went to celebrate my bday there. (BigPiscesEnergy) and had so much fun with the R&B Bingo. The food was okay, but the vibesssss A++

Yelp
Last night was my first time at Blu Cantina since they moved from Peters Street. Good vibes and good food as always! Blu Cantina is an urban bar eatery that serves Mexican style food & drinks. The crowd is full of beautiful, predominantly black people & the music here is always on point! They play a lot of hip hop and mix new music with our favs from the 2000's. The music is played very loud just for an fyi This place always has a good drinks and drink specials. On Saturday night there were $15 margarita pitchers and I was a little skeptical because of the price but the drinks were sooo good and well mixed. Food is also pretty cheap, my quesadilla meal pictured was $8. Street parking and a parking lot available. Please don't drink and drive though
google avatar

Marcus P.

Yelp
If you're into great Mexican food look no further! I have been killing those fried chicken burritos! The staff is super hospitable! The ambiance it cozy and quaint! They also stay open late night with awesome music! This a gem nestled in the heart of east Atlanta village!

Yelp
Used to love Tomatillos, but I finally decided to give Blu Cantina a go because I heard there was a 15 wings + margarita pitcher special. Unfortunately, they don't offer it anymore but I still stayed to see what the wings were hitting for. The restaurant was fairly empty when we came in and we were told to sit wherever we like. Our server came over quickly and let us know about the drink specials. She was great for our whole stay, and checked on us throughout. We ordered the chips and guacamole as a starter. The guac was good, the chips were freshly made and had a little lime sprinkle on them which was good. I enjoyed it, but I'm not sure the portion was worth $5. For the wings, we did a 20 piece, half peach bourbon, half sweet lime chili. And lemme tell you. THESE WINGS MF SLAP! They were cooked PERFECTLY. Hot, fresh, flavorful and nice and saucy. Zero complaints here. Also, the music was GOOD! Nice R&B, the kind of music you clean your house to on a Saturday morning. Can't wait to come back for some more wings and will update once I try some tacos and drinks :)
google avatar

Kourtney H.

Yelp
We wanted a chill spot with good food and hookah. This. Was. It. We ordered Hennessy margaritas, tacos, nachos, strawberry mint hookah and jammed to the dj. This is not a quiet sit down spot on Saturday's. It's a whole turnt vibe with people dancing, singing, eating and celebrating life. They seemed a bit short staffed but our Gurl did the best she could and came whenever we waved her over.
google avatar

Jennifer B.

Yelp
I like coming for happy hour. I had a chicken burrito and it wasn't too great though. But love a good drinky drink and hookah along with great music- would try something different for food next time
google avatar

Lanay G.

Yelp
They definitely have potential! I stopped by one evening for a quick bite to eat. Parking was easy as with most EAV businesses. We were able to self seat at a table towards the back almost immediately. We sat down and ordered drinks almost right away. This is where it gets interesting ... our drinks took 22 minutes to arrive to us. This may have possibly made sense if we hadn't ordered frozen drinks that only needed to be poured in a cup. The music was BUMPIN! And by bumpin I mean they were playing alllllllll the cuts. But it was so loud we were not able to have a conversation sitting next to each other. It was way too loud. And it was only approx 8pm. The food was just ok. It wasn't amazing but also wasn't bad. I got a peek at the nachos going to someone else's table and I will definitely try those next time. I'm going to give them a little time to fix their slow service issue first though.

Yelp
Ep. 31 of Antlantaeats Let me start with a bonus: the parking is free and easy to get to My gf and I originally had another spot in mind in that area, ended up stumbling here. They have a item called "Ultimate Sampler" which consisted of 6 Sweet Chili Lime Wings, Southwest Rolls, and Empanadas (video below). The Wings had a very great kick to it. My 2nd fav was the Southwest Rolls. The side sauce (sorry but I did not get the name of it but its spicy) Went well together. ZeZe ordered the Steak Nachos, Shes had better elsewhere. Overall it's a cool vibe especially weekends on the Eastside of town Here's my experience: https://www.instagram.com/p/CFlUcEXhtM1/?igshid=1j3k8f5qe4e83

Yelp
Unfortunately, this place did not live up to the hype, and parking is horrendous. I ordered the turkey, lettuce and cheese tacos. The turkey meat is the bottom of the barrel of turkey meat, I gave them a two because their rice and beans were good.
google avatar

Lakesha C.

Yelp
Oooooh weeee the Wings were the best I've ever had ! It's a Mexican spot but errrhuhhm the wings are legendary! We had the lemon pepper and sweet lime chili the basket of fries were just enough ! I heard it's a happening spot at night, but for lunch there was no crowd and the server (bartender) was Amazing ,efficient, attentive and really nice ! Shout out to Haiti/Ghana/NYC ! Try this place you won't be disappointed! ....Gratuity is included we added more

Yelp
With my guy last night and craving tacos Blu Cantina was the only place open after 9. We decided to give it a try and ordered through door dash. The delivery took over an hour and our order wasn't exactly correct. Food: I had chips, guacamole, veggie tacos with zucchini, squash, red peppers, and onions, rice and beans. He had chicken fajitas with chips and queso dip. Unfortunately the food was bland and flavorless. We had to add lots of pepper sauce and tony chachere to make it taste better.

Chanita Z.

Yelp
I've visited Blu Cantina many times, but today the service was emasculate! Kayla was our server and although it was busy she was amazing. She is observant, kind, and friendly. I highly recommend coming to see Kayla. Scarlet, the manager was phenomenal as well as always. It was a pleasure visiting Blu Cantina!!

Tandra C.

Yelp
When we went here it was cool. Nice music. It was not packed but it had a good amount of people. The food was good and our server was great. The drinks were also good!It was a good vibe. My husband and I went here with friends. I would probably go back.
google avatar

Corey L.

Yelp
It's Blu Cantina, crowded, good wings, good hookah but don't come here thinking you're going to spend 40 American dollars. This bill is always a nice penny, but it's worth it.
google avatar

Kimberly L.

Yelp
My good friend Kija, invited me here to BLU Cantina. I've never been here before, but I can see why she comes ALL the time. It's a pretty casual restaurant/bar/hookah lounge. Food is great. They also have nice outdoor seating, where you can watch people walking by. I will say its in a very hipster part of the city. Parking can be scarce if you're here at a busy time, as their parking lot is quite small. I'm not sure where you'll overflow into. Mo ordered the shrimp quesadilla, which he says was amazing. Kija had her shrimp tacos, and I had pork tacos. The food was delicious. Their rice and beans were so good. I also liked the seasoning they sprinkled over their nachos, I need to find out what that is. I'm thinking of it while writing this review! We came around 3pm so it was not busy at the time.

Yelp
Blu Cantina has served as my go to spot in East Atlanta for both hookah and just for a chill night out. Blu Cantina charges $30 per hookah and the flavor selection does not have much variety as dedicated hookah joints, but the bowls are always packed quite well and last a long time. Drinks here run relatively cheap compared to a lot of other EAV spots. They additionally have a kitchen that serves up decent Tex Mex food and that doesn't close until one. The nachos in particular always satisfy and make for pleasant, messy munching when buzzed or more. My one gripe with this place stems from its weekend volume; the music is far too loud to have a conversation inside. That said, the music tends to be good and they have a small, quieter patio outside which allows for great people watching. A bar that does hookah, serves Tex Mex food, and has a club like weekend ambiance/volume shouldn't work, but Blu somehow does and rarely disappoints.

Yelp
The service was HORRIBLE!!! My friends & I came in for food & drinks. It's took 12 minutes fir someone to come seat us!!! When the girl with the weave bob came to the table she didn't introduce herself. She brought water walked off. Then proceeded to walk away. When she came back she took our order!! We were about to cancel but we stayed being that my friend came from out of town. Two guys came in and she was smiling and talking. Maybe she was just ready to smoke her hookah because she for sure had a since of urgency for that activity. I've been here several of times and I never had an experience She never came to check if we were good. It was just not giving!!

Yelp
Quick hangout spot before dinner service starts at Gaja and EAV Thai sushi! We got the house margarita, the Hendricks gin and Juice with cucumber, and the Irish mule! We just wanted to put something on our stomachs so we chose the ultimate sampler! We picked the southwest chicken egg rolls, classic hot wings, and queso and chips! Everything was pretty delicious and service was great! We chose a great time to slide in and out and it started to pick up a little after 5pm. Shout out to Theresa, our waitress!

Yelp
I've been coming here for years. The wings are great. The tacos are mid. The rice and beans are terrible. The drinks and the bartenders are great but I always try the rice and beans after a few months and they are consistently bland. The tacos are the same. Today was my last time trying them. I'll stick with wings and fries

Yelp
I would definitely recommend. Their food is good. Great lemon pepper. Delicious nachos. Amazing salads. Their drinks are well priced and strong. Also the patio is where it's at. Shhhh... don't let everybody know. It's so freaking cute. Also they have a DJ and hookah if you like that. I think the hookah is $30

Yelp
I tried to give this spot the benefit of the doubt all throughout my pickup experience, but unfortunately they missed the mark all the way around the board. I found this place by typing "Mexican" in DoorDash, and I'm new to the area so I wasn't familiar with this restaurant at all. I decided to do pickup instead of delivery, because I wanted to see what the restaurant looked like. Let me first say that this is not a Mexican, Latin American, or any type of culture of Spanish speaking origin restaurant. It's a hookah lounge that serves tacos, burritos, quesadillas, etc. That was the first disappointment when I arrived, but the reviews were good so I reserved judgment. I walked in and went to the bar and I was told my order would be ready in about 6-7 minutes. I came back in that time and it still wasn't ready and the girls at the bar weren't exactly welcoming. So I waited another 10 min or so and when I went back inside my food was sitting in the window, but didn't get bagged until I went over and asked for it AGAIN. The food smelled good on the way home so I was excited to try it, but unfortunately the smells were deceiving. The chicken quesadilla barely had any cheese in it and was very dry. The empanadas were pockets of air with a tiny scoop of meat. The southwestern egg rolls were mushy processed chicken concoctions. The "Latin fusion" wings were dry and bland with no sauce! The tortilla chips were hard and over seasoned. And the queso? Hands down the worst queso I've ever had. The container was mostly jalapeños and the queso was watery and cold. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. It wasn't expensive but I very well could have saved my money and made a better meal at home. If you want a lit club vibe with mediocre bar food then this is your place. Otherwise, please don't waste your time.

Yelp
Fun atmosphere if you like loud music, hookahs, and decent Mexican food that is reasonable. Hard to hear and talk, so be prepared to eat, drink, and listen to hip music...the guacamole is excellent! The ground turkey burrito and steak quesadillas were very Good! They need help learning how to make margaritas. I paid $11 for a skinny margarita and it was so disgusting I sent it back. It was full of orange juice. The second time was no better..this time mostly grapefruit juice! This is a Mexican spot after all! With another shot and limes added, it was finallly drinkable.
