Capitale Pizzeria - Review - Capitol Hill - Seattle - The Infatuation

"This Capitol Hill pizzeria serves Neopolitan-style pies with toppings inspired by cities around the world. There’s the Tokio pizza loaded with mushrooms, the Madrid with thinly sliced potatoes, and, of course, the Seattle pie topped with smoked salmon and pesto. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Kayla Sager-Riley

Seattle’s Exciting New Restaurants, Cafes, Bars, and Bakeries of 2020 - Eater Seattle

"The underground pizza scene in Seattle has grown during the pandemic, mainly through the pop-up route. But there are some intriguing new permanent entries as well, such as this fermented dough specialist on Capitol Hill, whose pies have drawn lines on Summit Ave E. Other items on the menu — such as the fantastic veal and pork meatballs and the strozzapreti in celery root cream sauce — are worth checking out as well." - Gabe Guarente

Had the cosenza and the capri (gluten free). Both were top notch 10 out of 10 for us! The staff is incredible and the owners visit your table to check in, share stories and laugh. This is our new favorite spot and we can’t wait to try everything on the menu. I’ve eaten a lot of pizza and a lot of pizza in Italy and this out does ALL OF THEM🙌 Cappuccino was delicious- perfect foam. Ambience perfection🤌🏼

The food here is just magnificent. The detail and perfection in each and every dish and ingredient is a chef’s kiss. Hands down this has to be the most authentic pizza I’ve had. A must visit if you’re an avid pizza lover. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming. The desserts deserve a special mention.

We had an amazing experience here. From the service to the food to the vibes to the passion of the whole staff, it was a lovely experience from start to finish. The restaurant is beautiful and our waiter Lucas was helpful and friendly and had great recommendations. The prosecco and bruschetta trio were a lovely way to start. My favorite pizza was the Santiago. And the affogato to end the meal was perfection.

The food? Amazing! The service? Above and beyond our expectations! Me and my group of 10 friends had the time of our lives at Capitale. The atmosphere was great and we all enjoyed ourselves. Special thanks to Rodrigo and Luana who made us comfortable, joked and played along with my guests. We will be back!!!! I need to eat more Santiago pizza!!!! 🍕

Google
The food, ambiance, and service here is absolutely stellar. The environment is elegant and yet homey, with plants and low lighting. The service cannot be complimented enough; our waters were constantly refilled, our server (Lucas) offered us suggestions on the menu (which were wonderful), and the food speaks for itself. We got the São Paulo pizza and the focaccia. You absolutely more than get what you pay for in terms of quality. The focaccia and its accompanying sauces were both delicious and incredibly filling, and the pizza, though not large, was more than enough for two people. The taste of the cheese as well was so unique and absolutely wonderful, and the crust was chewy and fluffy. Genuinely this may be my favorite pizza restaurant in Seattle, and I’m very eager to return for more.

If I could give this place a MILLION STARS I would. The food was beautiful, delicious and filling. The service was so amicable. Speaking with the servers was so comforting and fun. We felt like they had known us for years! They went above and beyond to ensure we were well cared for. The area was tastefully decorated, and highlighted their best qualities. Beautiful all around! AMAZING!

First time at Capitale Pizzeria in Seattle, and it already feels like a favorite! Went with a group of friends and everything was absolutely perfect. Shoutout to Lucas and Luana for the amazing service, so friendly and welcoming! The Bologna pizza stole the show, crispy, full of flavor, and just what we needed for a fun night out. Huge compliments to the Rodrigos for creating such a warm, soulful place. You can feel the passion in every detail. We’ll definitely be back!

Had a great experience at this restaurant. I ordered the Napoli Capitale pizza and it was absolutely delicious; perfectly balanced flavors and a great crust. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this place if you're in the area!

Yelp
Joined friends in Capitol Hill Tuesday to try Capitale for the first time and I'm so glad I did. We ordered the Tokio, Cosenza, Paris, and Napoli pizzas, all 12" and packed with flavor. The ingredients are a perfect blend of local and Italian. The owner Rodrigo chatted with us and shared how much time went into getting the dough just right and you can taste the effort. Service was great. We also tried the Carcioffi salad which had Italian artichoke hearts, mango, mixed greens, cherry tomatoes, and avocado. Super fresh and a great balance to the pizzas. The leftovers were just as tasty the next day. I'd definitely make the trip again from the Eastside to try more flavors!

Yelp
My best friend and I recently visited Capitale in Seattle. It's located in the heart of the city and has such a warm and welcoming vibe. We were greeted by the owners, Rodrigo and Rodrigo lol They were both so nice and you can tell how passionate they are about what they do. Saying the food was delicious would be an understatement. This was some of the best pizza I've ever had. You can tell the menu items were thoroughly thought through and hand crafted to actual perfection. What we ordered: Bruschetta Triology Antipasto Italiano Salmone Salad Roma Pizza Tokio Pizza Italian Sodas (Lemon & Blood Orange) You can check out our video review soon at @SinCityBesties on Instagram and TikTok!

Yelp
In the pictures- Apps: Beets Salad (perfect mix of greens, beets and dressing) Bruschetta Trilogy (can't get enough of it especially the middle tomato jam flavor) Burrata (focaccia with their pesto sauce is LOVE) Pizza: Tokio (the mushrooms tasted sooo good) Amalfi (so unique and healthy) Napoli (you can tell by the taste that it's house made) So exited to try more flavors next time!

Yelp
If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. My boyfriend and I just walked out of the restaurant and it was the best place that I have ever been to. Not only was the service was amazing, but the food was phenomenal. It was the most life-changing food I have ever had. I thought that I've had good food before, but WOW I was so so wrong. To note, I loved the ambiance/environment.. the dim lights with plants all over the room made it feel very cozy. I loved this restaurant. I will definitely be coming back here. Also, the owners Rodrigo and Rodrigo were both very charismatic and were very pleasant to talk to. Thank you for your amazing service!!!

Yelp
This is now our favorite local spot to eat out in our neighborhood. The service was attentive and friendly, and super helpful. The beet salad was generous, fresh and well balanced. The Calabria pizza was so good, with a perfectly charred crust. It took a while for us to try this place, but now we can't wait to go back. As a bonus, they have a fabulous guitarist playing fun music on Sundays. Please go and support our local businesses!

Yelp
I don't know why the reviews are so amazing. Pizza was good but the apps were not good

Yelp
Italian dining and pizza with a wood burning oven. Capitale has capitalized on what was once Boca Argentinian restaurant and bakery. Bringing classic and twisted pizzas to Broadway, on Capital Hill. The best thing about pizzas are that they're great for sharing. So we ordered (share between 6 people): Tokio $24 Guadalajara $25 Lazio $27 House made focaccia $14 Hands down, I believe the group agreed that the Tokio was the best. Not only is it vegetarian, but the amount and variety of mushrooms along with the cheese and truffle oil to finish was amazing. I think the most disappointing was the house focaccia. We love how it was presented with the different accompaniments, but the bread was denser and could have been lifted with more EVOO and salt. Overall the experience was lovely and we'd definitely go back for the Tokio pizza and/or try any of their 20+ other ones.

Yelp
It totally lived up to the hype. There is something about wood- fired pizza that makes it next level. Everything from the pizza to the desserts is fire. The ambiance is cozy, aesthetically welcoming. The service is quick and Rodrigo Luana is amazing with attending stuff.

Yelp
Great pizza. Probably the best in Cap Hill. If you don't want to venture out then it's an Italian place with a variety of pizza options. The napoli was okay, but a bit bland compared to their other options. The santiago had a good blend of varying flavors and surprising depth. Can't split any of the pizzas into half and half, but that's to be expected from a "truer" Italian restaurant. Non bene.

Yelp
Got a take out order. It was ready very quickly! The pizza was tasty though maybe a little on the pricey side for the portion size. The staff person who helped me was kind and made sure my order was correct before bringing it over, but I overheard the kitchen person was a little testy about the no meat. The space is nice and has mostly larger tables for sit down meals.

Yelp
We made a reservation for 5 pm and it was unnecessary because the restaurant was empty. The pizza here is a little more authentic so you're not going to find pepperoni pizza during your experience here. We ordered a Cosenza (almost like a pepperoni pizza) and a Roma which is closest to Cheese pizza. This was the best. Even though we ordered a Cosenza, the server accidentally brought us a Calabria. We didn't want it because it has onions and red peppers but ended up trying it any way since it was on the house... the pizzas with toppings is too heavy for the crust. When we picked up a slice of Cosenza and Calabria, most of the toppings fell off. Our food came out extra fast! However, it was served warm, not piping, ooey, gooey, hot. I think they put cold toppings on the pizza so the meat and vegetables were not hot They have a good wine selection and the server is really good at recommending a wine pairing. Honestly, it's not worth the hype on tik tok.

Yelp
Big fan of this new pizza spot in Cap Hill! The portions are great for a good price, especially if you share a pizza with someone else (but you could eat one solo if you have a big appetite). The service was excellent, everyone was attentive and very accommodating. Food was excellent from the different capital-themed pizzas (big selection of vegetarian pizzas as well) to the appetizers, salads, and desserts. Really enjoyed the focaccia bread that came with a flight of sauces! They also had some lovely wine options, big fan of a white with some pizza. Great option for a date as well, very cozy interior with lots of greenery!

Yelp
I was in Seattle for a conference and had the pleasure of finding Capitale Pizzeria. Their reviews were top-notch so I placed my order and took a short drive. I was nervous about finding street parking, but was encouraged to use the temporary parking in the middle of Broadway while I ran in. Once inside, I was warmly greeted and my pizza was placed in my arms in record time. Once I returned to my hotel I opened the box and was greeted by the most unique pizza I've ever eaten. I highly recommend the Ankara pizza, with Italian Stracciatella cheese base, layered with Mozzarella Fior di Latte and gorgonzola dolce cheese. This pizza is finished with sweet fig jam, fresh arugula, and Italian prosciutto. This sweet and savory combination was so unique!

Yelp
Let me start by saying the service was excellent! Great waiter, had fun watching pizzas being made and it was nice and warm where we were sitting. I was having trouble with their menu as they had way too many options for me, we got their signature Napoli capitale and a burrata appetizer and a Santiago. Our Napoli capitale was really wet and was quite messy, Santiago was ok but not my fave bite. Burrata was fresh, good focaccia, pesto was yummy and very fresh tomatoes. Overall a little disappointing.

Yelp
Hands down the best pizza I have had in Seattle / Tacoma area . The Rodrigo's both owners were so welcoming and kind ! Our waiter Christian was extremyly kind and attentive ! Customer service was amazing !!! We had the Napoli Capitale , Santiago , bruschetta trilogy , affogato , pistachio tiramisu !! Everything was 100 percent delicious . We will definitely be regulars here !!

Yelp
Really love this spot for the cozy ambiance. Creative pizzas and amazing options. Super friendly servers!

Yelp
Incredible restaurant in Cap Hill. Every time I go, I'm impressed by the quality of the food, especially the fresh ingredients. The pizza dough is delicious, and the toppings are creative and flavorful. I highly recommend it for a date night or a fun night out with friends. The drinks are also so good and they have great wine options as well.

Yelp
This place absolutely hit the spot. The pizza was DELICIOUS, wonderful ingredients, fresh, cooked to perfection. The staff was very nice and attentive. Had an affogato for dessert and it was delicious as well. If you're looking for something better than your standard pizza fare, for a decent price, check this place out!

Yelp
Just opened up and is great! One of the owners was our server and he was awesome! The food was great - we got a bunch of pizzas, wine, and dessert.

Ngoc P.

Yelp
Up to now, I rarely write reviews, but the pizzas are THAT good! We shared the Tokio (sharp cheese and truffle/mushroom forward) and Sao Paulo pizzas! The flavor profiles are complex and distinct. The sweet aromas were in sync with my tastebuds, and they danced! The crust was fully fluffy with a slight crisp. Hmm...hmmm! Will definitely be back!

Yelp
Excellent pizza, atmosphere, and service. Add this new spot to your list ASAP! Try all the unique combinations.

Yelp
Capitale just opened up and I was able to visit. They have great food and very kind, attentive team members. You can tell that it's new and they have some things to work out but that happens with any new business. This is a great addition to Broadway & Capitol Hill.
