"Ask us to hang out between 8am and 2pm and—even if we don't really like you—we will agree to the plans. Because then we'll have an excuse to go to Caracas Bakery. The things this MiMo cafe does with bread are so wonderful that we'd share a meal here with the world's most annoying person. On the counter are rows of symmetrical danishes and puffy croissants alongside cachitos so supple you’ll have to resist the urge to reach over the sneeze guard and poke one. But Caracas' sandwiches are the highlight of the menu. The jambon beurre and broccoli sandwich make up about 87% of our collective lunch cravings. Luckily this casual cafe, where you’ll inevitably run into at least three people you know, is the kind of place where you’ll want to become a regular." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo, mariana trabanino
"One of Miami’s best bakeries has a second location in MiMo. This Caracas outpost feels more like a proper cafe, with an expanded menu, sleek dining room, and the same great cachitos. (Thank God.) The new stuff on Caracas’ menu includes sandwiches like an excellent BEC on a sweet potato bun, a crispy broccoli and cheese sandwich, jambon beurre, and mushroom toast. It works well for any and all laidback brunch plans. You can also come here alone with a laptop to get some work done, and by “get some work done” we mean “eat several cachitos.”" - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo, mariana trabanino
"At Caracas Bakery, toast reigns supreme, piled high with everything from creamy avocado and feta to Merguez sausage with harissa mayo and manchego. A B.E.C., a sweet potato bun gets stuffed with scrambled eggs, bacon, and American cheese. Sweet lovers won’t be disappointed — the bakery turns out pastries like banana bread, Nutella cruffins, and apple turnovers." - Eater Staff
"What began as a tiny family-run Venezuelan bakery in Doral making, among other items, some of the best cachitos in town, has now expanded to include a MiMo location offering a full breakfast menu. The always-packed eatery is well worth the wait: whether it’s the Croix Sandwich (soft-scrambled eggs, avocado, tomato, and American cheese nestled in a flaky croissant), Merguez toast (lamb sausage, homemade harissa mayo, soft scrambled eggs, caramelized onions, and Manchego cheese), or an assortment of freshly made pastries, diners cannot seem to get enough." - Eater Staff
"This second location (the original is in Doral) can quickly become habit-forming. Coffee, in all its iterations, is always perfectly prepared, plus there is the bonus of pastries like Nutella cruffin and palmeritas (elephant ears) that pair nicely. Beyond traditional Venezuelan cachitos (warm dough filled with ham, cheese, or both), there’s a breakfast menu that includes an egg sandwich made with soft scrambled eggs tucked inside an extra flaky croissant and salmon toast." - Alona Martinez
