I usually get mulata and tostada here and it’s soooo good and a perfect portion for me. Can’t think of a better Mexican place on ues.

This food truck is worth the hype! Fantastic flavors, wonderful service, and reasonable Manhattan prices. The menu is simple and delicious. I tried the tacos, quesadilla, and the consome. The truck is normally located on the corner of 86th st. Take-out only, no seating available, cash and credit are both accepted. Can be found on Instagram. Metered street parking is available but it is a busy area. The best thing to get is the consome. The hot delicious broth on a cool brisk day is a wonderful experience. Highly recommend!!!! 03/2025

I always order the Birria tacos with the Consome in-person, hits the spot sometimes craving for more. Its near a park with a bunch of benches if you want to stay and eat. Little expensive

It’s a hidden gem in NYC. I have taco combo and consume. They are all well cooked. There isn’t a crazy line in front of the truck, enjoy the taco while it’s not too famous.

Food itself is very good, but online order by toast experience is bad. Always get messages from toast saying FYI: It's been more than 5 minutes and Casa Birria NYC has not yet approved your order. Please call them about your order status. When I actually went to pick up, first time the stuff there did not respond to me because he was too busy cooking. Second time I did get my order but I had to wait because they ran out of tostadas and had to replace my order with taco. Third time when I picked up the stuff said there was no boxes or something and I said I ordered two tacos and had to wait for my order again. Despite the uncertainty if I can get my online order every time I still go to this food cart because food itself is very delicious. Really wish they could improve their online order service.

Probably the best birria in Manhattan. If you like beef, then try birria. The meat is juicy and tender, and it is well-seasoned. A must try is the birria tacos with consome. The tostadas are also top notch.

Everything is simple, flavorful, fresh, and affordable! Cannot go wrong with this little truck. Friendly and always happy to make a recommendation. The Mulita is delicious, crispy, cheese, and beefy goodness. Don’t miss this taco truck - it’s not just another food truck!

3 taco combo for $12. Not terribly priced. $4.95 for consume. The consume was good but I do think $5 for consume is kinda wild. $4.95 for tostada and I'd say the tostada was my favorite out of it all. I think I'd skip on paying for the consume. The food itself was decent, I just feel like I would rather get a lot of other food trucks in the area before I would repeat come to here! Come try this place if you have walked by it and haven't gone for it yet!

God I wish they had a restaurant where I can sot down & eat their tacos all day! This is one of New York's finest Taco trucks on the upper east side. Its about a 15 minute walk from Central Park & The Met. Forget about eating at The Met, I walked all the way to get Tacos here. I did take it to go & they were still delicious! I like how the menu is very simple. Its all birria meat 4 ways. Tostada, Taco, Mulita (wrap) & quesadilla. Then you can add a cup of Consomé with your dish. I highly recommend the consomé, when its cold you can drink it like a soup. Thats it! Plain & simple yet so flavorful, juicy, and filling. Of course they also sell drinks. They have Jarritos, Mexican Coke, Canned sodas & water. Another recommendation I want to add is, get the 3 taco combo. One taco is not enough. You'll want more, I made that mistake my first trip there! 10/10, this Taco Truck is actually ranked in NYC's top 9 Taco trucks. You can't miss the taco truck, its right in front of Ulta and only 4 blocks away from The Met.

Being from southern California, I had high high hopes for this birria and consome and I was not disappointed! A great deal for 3 tacos for $12. Their mulitas were absolutely heavenly and that consome was cooked to perfection I drank the entire thing after dipping my tacos and mulita. We took these to go and sat at a nearby dog park to eat it. There was on line when we went (a Friday at around lunch time) which I was pleasantly surprised by! While we were waiting, another patron eagerly exclaimed that she had been looking for this food truck and wasn't aware that they had moved locations so it's evident this spot is beloved and sought out. Will definitely be returning in the future.

I got 3 birria tacos for $12! Tacos were flavorful and hot. There was plenty of meat, which was tender. It came with 3 limes. I wish it came with some kind of hot sauce to give it a little kick. This truck is located on 86th between 2nd/3rd Ave.

Tried this place once before back in the day but didn't remember and was craving birria tacos, I was the third person in line and I ordered just about everything except for 2 items. One person working and preparing/ packing the food. I got the 3 birria tacos,consume and tostada, everything came out to $21 or $22 dollars after tax which isn't horrible but I'm sure it was cheaper back when I first ordered it. I got my food and came to shake shack to sit down and eat it, it wasn't absolutely hot maybe more like luke warm, I started with the tostada because I had never had it before and I got it with chicken so in the simplest form it's literally a big tortilla chip with the toppings and protein on top and then I had the consume with the birria tacos which didn't have a lot of meat inside the consume as I was starting to eat it as a soup but realized it's really best to just use it to dip the tacos. Like the other reviewers said it's definitely not seasoned at all or well and I was expecting cheese inside them but realize that every Birria place makes them different. Next time maybe I will try to quesadilla but overall this place is only really a try it once type of thing but if you are ever in the area then I get it

I waited for a showing in Sloatsburg and was glad I went!! I ordered two 3 packs of tacos, they are now $12 for 3 instead of $10. Excellent tacos!! All fresh and prepared fantastic! I looked at the salsa being only half full but then after tasting it I see why. Great big kick!! A perfect pairing for the tacos! I will try to keep updated on when they're local to me. I'll definitely return!!

If you want to have the best birria within Manhattan, this is the truck for you. Birria can be hit or miss. Even if the meet is juicy, it may not have been marinated with the right chilies or spices to be flavorful. But look no more: Casa Birria has it DOWN. Birria quesadilla: 11/10 I mean just look at it. Stuffed with cheese and juicy birria, this quesadilla tastes like heaven in your mouth. The red salsa and sour cream are a great cool addition to the piping hot food. I don't know what more to say than just to get it and enjoy it for yourself. Juicy and flavorful birria mixed with cheese and wrapped in a perfectly crisped tortilla = happiness. The quesadilla is the best value in my mind but I'm sure their other dishes are just as good. Really nice staff too! What more could you want!

This taco place is THE one and only to compare to the rest of my ongoing search for the best birria tacos wherever I go. This is because Casa Birra NYC perfected a taco recipe that is garnishing five stars. When I'm in the area, I will definitely buy more than what I could eat. These tacos are phenomenal!Everything is the right amount: spices , meat , sauce . What else can I say? I'm a fan of Casa Birra NYC.

What a wonderful little place this is! Love the Baja fish taco and the birria! One of the few real Mexican places in NY, the East coast really lacks on this subject... but eating here is like traveling to Mexico City!

Wow!!! The best tacos I have ever had. So flavorful. Every part of it. So moist. Just be prepared. Your choices are beef beef or beef. But so good!!

This taco truck was such a good find! The owner of the truck serves a variety of Mexican food including Birria tacos. My friends and I came here right before visiting the MET, and we took our food to eat at Central Park. The owner is super nice; he gave my friend a discount on her tacos AND an extra taco. Even though we had a lot of people, he prepared and bagged our food very quickly. Since this is a taco truck, there's not really a seating area, so you have to take the tacos to-go. The tacos are delicious and have a ton of the meat. The beef inside the tacos is super tender and flavorful and juicy; the consommé is also delicious and well-spiced. The consommé also has a lot of shredded beef, and you get spoons to drink the consommé at the end. I drank all of my consommé because it was so tasty. Overall, this place is a great spot to grab something to eat, and I would love to see this place get more traffic.

Great spot for Birria tacos! The food truck is located right outside the Ulta on 86th and 3rd Avenue. We opted to order online for a pickup through their ToastTab ordering link. Glad we did because there was a line of people when we got there (around 7pm on a weekday), and our food still came out hot and fresh. We tried the taco combo (3 tacos for $12 now), consomé, tostada, and mulita. The tacos with consomé were definitely our favorite but the crispiness of the tostada was a close second. The flavors were bright, fresh, warm, and authentic. The beef was super tender and mouthwatering. The food was packaged nice and securely in a sturdy paper bag. They also gave us a handful of good napkins which we really appreciated since we brought it to the park to eat. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for affordable and delicious birria tacos on the go in the UES.

Classic late night munch, good for that but I'm not sure if I would get it again. Great for the late night coming home foods though

This place has been my go to Birria taco spot in New York for about a year and a half and it never disappoints. I usually get the taco combo, the consome(to dip my tacos) and two mulitas. The mulita resembles a taco sandwich with cheese in the middle. The flavors dance around in your mouth and will have you wanting more even when you're full. Very rarely the location will change so I also recommend following the instagram page for updates when you fall in love with this place.

These are the best birria tacos I have ever had!! The truck was parked on 86th st near 3rd Ave, exactly where they said it would be. We ordered tacos, ate, and went back for seconds! The tacos are crispy and cheesy and hot. The birria is so flavorful and delicious, more so when you add their hot sauce to it. I wish I wasn't so stuffed so that I could eat even more. Authentic. Highly recommend!!! It was so worth the drive!

A must visit when you're in the UES. Awesome birria tacos!! I came here after a trip to the MET. Great deal with 3 tacos for $10 as well. The consome is packed with flavor and juicy goodness and tacos have that perfect crunch and tender meat.

The food here is so good. I had a tostada and three tacos. I also got a little bowl of the jus. Had little pieces of onion, floating on top and some beef on the bottom. Food was perfect. The taco truck dude was very nice. I will always look for this place when I'm on the upper East side.

Probably one of the best taco trucks I ever had. Their birria tacos are amazing. Packed with flavors from meat, onions, cilantro, and consume. I tried both their birria tacos and Mulita. Both for just $4 each? You really can't beat that. You'll be charged $20 for like 3 at restaurants. Definitely give them a try. You won't regret it!

I was craving some birria and decided to try this place as it has very good reviews. I have to say it's pretty good and the best part is, they have NO lines!!! Me, my boyfriend, his brother and my sister each ordered a Tostada and 3 Tacos for $10 and a consomé for each. The tostadas were pretty impressive, the taste was incredible and they come pretty full. It was my favorite!! The tacos and their consomé were very tasty as well. It's always good to have them in Manhattan when you're craving some good Birria!!!!

Found this place on Monday, picked up tacos and a Tostada and they were both so delicious that we picked up more tacos on Tuesday. We absolutely LOVE this food. Owners are so smart to keep the menu small. I am drooling just thinking about this food! Thank you Casa Birria!

Birria tacos and consome were both amazing. The broth wasn't too salty and you could easily eat it by itself. Food truck was quick and efficient. They take all payment forms now which was something previous reviewer had a problem with.

Must try: Three Tacos Combo and Consomé! Why: Three tacos for only $10?! Packed with birria meat with onions, cilantro, salsa, and lime. The soft shell had a surprisingly perfect crisp to it and it was u-shaped allowing more ingredients and less mess. Definitely try dipping the tacos in the Consomé for added flavor, then sip or drink the soup. Notes: I walk by this food truck all the time from the 4,5,6 Subway and usually there's a lot of people in the area because it's in front of Shake Shack and other department stores so I bypass it to limit crowding; however, I went on a Saturday right before the lunch crowd and I am forever changed! I hope they stay in that location long-term because I'll be coming back for sure. I want to try their other items like Quesadilla, Mulita and Tostada. Simple menu, affordable and delicious eats, and seemed clean.

The quesadillas and tacos are to die for! Consome is perfectly done, no complaints. So good!

2nd favorite Birria spot so far in NYC. From their great customer service, no lines & crispy delicious tortillas! Wish the consome was included with the $10 order of 4 tacos but it worked out to ask for an extra empty cup so my friend and I could half the consome!

Conveniently located off the 4/5! Very clean and there was no line around 2-3P. Got the $3 Birria Tacos for $10 and consume for $4. Very quick and friendly service. Great flavor to the birria tacos and well packaged. The consume container became soggy and perhaps can be improved? I only walked 4 blocks. Overall great flavor and nice portions of the beef stew in the tacos and consume. So happy Birria made it to Manhattan, because it's hard to find delicious Birria without heading to Brooklyn or Jersey City. Will definitely be back!

Amazing tacos! I've been dying to try this taco truck on 86th and 3rd ave for a while and wow it did not disappoint. So fresh. So flavorful! Everything was amazing and so cheap too. Three tacos for $10 Quesadilla was $10 and might have liked it more than the tacos. The delicious consomé is $4 - you must get this. It's all the flavor! Note it's cash only!!!!! We picked this up and brought it home and it held up quite well for 25 min in the car. Highly highly recommend. I feel like this is a hidden gem

Quite literally ordered 1-2 of everything and can't even decide which is the best. AMAZING street food, authentic as can be. Honestly worth trying everything - you cannot go wrong. I think the toastada is my favorite, and definitely love the tacos. Basically all the same ingredients prepared in different ways but damn. Every single option is amazing. Also their combo (3 tacos for $10) is a steal! Also, every time I've come here it's been on the corner of 86 and 3rd, a little up the block towards the west side, on the south west corner! A little past the entrance to ulta.

Wow! Street Tacos without a doubt! We were told about this food truck by one of the carriage drivers after asking for some recommendations and this was one of the top places he suggested. We are so glad we found it because the food has tons of flavor and it comes at an affordable price when comparing it to other food trucks and food carts. We got the quesadilla and tacos and we would gladly do it again next time we are in the city!

Saw this food truck on the way to Central Park and got tacos for the park!! Their 3 for $10 tacos is a great one. We tried all the meats but enjoyed the Birria (goat) and al pastor the most. The chicken was okay. The tacos were crunchy when hot even though it was corn (I think). Such a great flavorful lunch! The lunch rush was busy so we waited about $10 for our order! Would eat again if I was nearby.

I was very impressed by such delicious tacos. I love me some good tacos and these were better than good. I brought me a taco, tostada, and some consome. My taco had this tender juicy seasoned meat, and toppings that had my taste buds screaming for more. To go along with that was this warm delicious broth with added goodies like onions cilantro etc., that you dip your taco in for more of a explosive of flavor. Then you drink it, and your soul becomes delighted from the wonderful food experience you just gave it. Last but not least and my favorite was the tostada. It had all that tender juicy meat on top and was so crispy and crunchy. It held up to the juices, not becoming soggy, because I had to take this home to eat, and it still remain with that crunchy texture. (I mean it's a food truck so no place for me to enjoy right there.) I cannot wait to make another visit soon, because I need that Consome (the broth) in my life. Anyway do not let this truck pass you by if your in this area. The price is super affordable for your average Joe, Joe being your average working New Yorker. So go and give yourself a taco break and get yourself some, don't wait till Tuesday because tacos can be for any day, if you know what I'm taco-in about. Lol!

Delicious Birria tacos with consume! I love having one of the best Taco Trucks across the street from my job serving up my favorite Birria tacos on the daily. The tacos are made fresh to order and served pretty quick. I like calling in my order ahead of time to avoid the line. I like that they provide plenty of lime to soak my tacos in right before I dunk them in the consume. This place is a must try if you're in the area!

If you are ordering for one, trust me, order this and you will be satisfied: 3 taco deal with consume ($14). Not only will your taste buds be happily thanking you, but you will be wanting more and more. If you want to get more absorption per bite with the consume, add a Mulita as it is a bread that can carry more flavor when dipped as juxtaposed to a thin taco. The tostada is actually phenomenal as you get an amazing cheese pull when you eat it. The only drawback to this place is that there is typically a line and it does take a while to prepare your food. You also have to walk a certain distance to sit and eat comfortably as this is just a food truck. Overall, I will be a repeat customer as this is some of the most flavorful Mexican food around.

The tacos and consume were delicious. The truck is a few blocks from a scenic park and the truck's location is conveniently located a few steps from the 4,5,6 trains. I want to come back to try the other options

Got consume and one chicken and pork taco. The pork was a little tough and under seasoned. The chicken was surprisingly good and enjoyed the salsa which added a nice twang. The tortilla itself were a little mushy. The consume was good and went well with the tacos but not anything special. Worth a try if you are passing by but probably not worth a trek.

I ordered the mulita and it was delicious!! I would definitely order this again! The service was also fast!

This place is pretty much as good as street food gets. Birria is having its moment in the food world spotlight, and this is probably one of the best places to try it without tripping out to Brooklyn or Queens. Minimal line, pretty reasonable pricing ($4 for a taco or mulita, $4 for consome, $10 for a quesadilla or 3 taco combo), and prompt service. The portion sizes are similar to what you might expect at other popular Manhattan taco spots like Los Tacos or Tacombi, so the combo with consome is probably about right for most folks. The food is super rich and flavorful. It's awesome as is; my only slight quips would be (1) it'd be nice to have the option to spice it up or add more heat, and (2) the container gets oily (and the food probably soggy) pretty fast, so it likely wouldn't carry much further than a few blocks or ~10 min. walk. PS: there's also an outdoor seating area nearby next to the Shake Shack .. which has a sign saying it's open for public seating, so you should be able to take your tacos there to enjoy!

THANK YOU FOR EXISTING. Anyone that has moved here from Southern California knows, bomb tacos are not easy to come by. I've been searching far and wide and stopped by on my way home. Squeeze both limes, dip the taco into the consommé, go back and order a mulita and eat that too. Get birria crazy. The tortillas are wonderfully seasoned, warm, and not dry. Happy eating! xo

If you're looking for birria tacos but don't want to go to the infamous taco truck on queens, come here instead. I come across This fairly new business and was so excited! I've tried birria tacos from other places and none live up to the hype of the Queens tacos. However these are a close second ! Casa Birria has a similar consome that taste almost identical to the other business. And I will say for the tacos they do add way more meat which is great ! Only wished they had picante sauce to add to their consome and tacos. Unlike the other business they have other options on their menu and combo deals. I believe 3 tacos with a consome will cost $10. Please have the mulita also. I genuinely like this place and when I first ordered I mis read the prices and was short a few dollars (I normally do not walk around with cash ) they were kind enough to still place my order. Will definitely try to order every Tuesday for taco Tuesday !

I finally broke my birria taco virginity today. Originally from Jalisco, the birria craze has since made its way cross-country to New York as of late (with it's first stop in California). The hype is real. Heres to more birria taco with consomme places opening in 2021. I'm so glad I found this truck. Casa Birria does not get as much attention as Birria Landia, but the food here was phenomenal. The woman working the truck was uber friendly and everything was inexpensive and filling. Highly recommend getting the 3 tacos for $10 special along with their consomme. I didn't exactly take note as to what kind of meat was used in their tacos, but I'm pretty sure it was pork. Tacos and consomme were flavorful on their own, but together they were magnificent. I couldn't wait to dig-in, so I devoured everything at the little public seating area next to Shake Shack. Looking forward to trying the other menu items!

The tacos and compote combo hit EXACTLY like my Instagram promised. The tacos were tasty in their own right. But dipping them into the compote elevates them to brothy new heights. Here's a pro tip though: the tacos/compote are best suited for a dining experience with a table. I'd recommend picking up your tacos and going to the outdoor area next to the Shake Shack. There's plenty of tables there and coverage from the weather, if need be. The tacos definitely lived up to the hype as some of the best in Manhattan, and especially on the Upper East Side.

I don't know what took me so long to try this place out, but man I've been missing out! 3 tacos for $10 and the consomé for $4 is so satisfying and a complete steal. For the price and flavor, this spot beats other neighborhood taco spots like Tacombi, Otto's, and even another favorite, Conmigo.
