"There aren’t many places in Rome to find vegan pizza that’s actually good, but Casa Manco is the exception. Get a slice of vegan pizza rossa that’s spiked with chili and a scattering of parsley and mint or go for one with radicchio, gorgonzola, and walnuts. Their location in the open-air Mercato di Testaccio is small, but there are a couple of seats around the market. Definitely check out some other vendors if you have some extra stomach space." - Team Infatuation

Get a slice of vegan pizza rossa that’s spiked with chili and a scattering of parsley and mint or go for one with radicchio, gorgonzola, and walnuts. While you can stand and eat inside or sit at one of the two tiny areas outside, we recommend taking your pizza over to the Piazza di San Cosimato where you can find plenty of stone benches. If you come on a summer night, you can even catch a movie at the open-air cinema they set up in the piazza." - Gillian McGuire

"Testaccio has one of the few markets in Rome where you can graze on prepared food (the others focus on selling ingredients rather than meals). Husband-and-wife team Paola Manco and Andrea Salabè opened Casa Manco there in 2017, and it quickly became one of the most appealing spots in a growing sea of dining options. The couple sells pizza alla pala, naturally fermenting their dough and proofing it for four days before stretching it into oblong discs. The substantial toppings are suited for the structurally sound base: zucchini flowers, salted anchovies, and stracciatella; guanciale, pecorino Romano, and black pepper; potato and mozzarella. The simplest offering, dough rolled in sesame seeds and then baked, has an ethereal texture and toasted flavor that is incredibly complex, in spite of its seeming simplicity. There is a second location on Via di San Cosimato in Trastevere." - Katie Parla

the best pizza that I had in Rome (I walked almost 45 minutes to get there!) the sausage and potato slice & the squash blossom with fresh cheese and anchovy were both outstanding. ingredients are top notch and well balanced, the dough is airy and crispy, and the service is from the heart.

I’ve eaten at so many places both in Turkey and abroad, and there have been many that I really enjoyed. But I have never rated any of them online until now. My husband and I went here around lunchtime for a quick bite. While we were waiting in line, they offered us some tomato - sauced pizzas to try. They slice the pizzas you choose to your preferred thickness and package them. I have to say this: we’re people who eat a lot of pizza, and now we don’t know how we’ll eat pizza anywhere else. These were the best, highest-quality pizzas we’ve ever had. The gentleman who served us (also the owner i guess) was very kind, and when we were leaving the market, he recognized us and asked if we enjoyed it. We really hope to return. You must try it!

The best pizza with astonishing service. The owner is a great host and makes one of the best pizzas I've ever had. Ingredients are all of top quality and they are mixed with art. Second time I've been there, and I'm sure I'll be back again next time I visit Rome...

One of the best pizza/pines we have ever eaten ( we’ve eaten a lot :) ! The dough is incredible and the toppings are very fresh and generous. The owner was also kind enough to cut the pizza into smaller pieces for me 😅 very nice guy :) definitely recommended!! 💜

What do you get when two architects give up their career and embark on a new one making pizza, the best, most creative food to hit yer taste buds. The owner dreams up pizza recipes in her head! The dough takes two days to make with special flour. Once again, simple food made with quality ingredients with love and care. I had pizza with sliced nectarines on it!!!! There are so many choices it almost isn't fair. She is beyond creative and one of the nicest people I've had the pleasure of encountering. You gotta go here!!

A stall in the market with some of the best Roman style pizza I've ever had. The wonderful owner explains all the different pizzas which are constantly being replenished. You pay by weight and cash or card accepted

We went off the beaten path of Rome and ended up in Testaccio at the open market, aka, Mercato Testaccio. We shopped around and then bumped into this amazing tiny pizza shop that has some of the best tasting pizza, hands down in Rome. The prices were super low and the service was super friendly. The neighborhood is very different from the Roman city, and it's a great place to take a break from the city of Rome.

Fresh, high quality pizza with welcoming atmosphere. Good variety in the selection. I love their concept of weighing the pizza, so you can stop by and have a slice, big or small, at an affordable price! You won’t regret stopping by!
