15 Best Warm and Cozy Restaurants in Savannah | Eater Carolinas

"This new American restaurant takes pride in sourcing primarily from local farmers and fisherfolk within a day’s drive. For a more casual atmosphere, dine under twinkling lights on the lush patio while classic films are projected on the wall. Start with the grilled romaine heart with toasted pistachios and herb croutons or the bacon and bourbon board — a flight of three pours paired with sweet and savory bites." - Colleen McNally Arnett

We had our anniversary dinner here and loved it! Our server Olivia was wonderful. She answered any questions I had and recommended the BEST dishes. Food was excellent and the dessert chocolate torte was to die for. I had been wanting to dine here for months and am so pleased with our experience! Thank you!!

We came to Cha Bella for our anniversary dinner this past Saturday and it was to die for. Definitely make a reservation, as they tend to book up quickly, but we got lucky booking a reservation right at opening, so pretty much an empty restaurant. Service was attentive but not overbearing and our server was very knowledgeable of the menu, along with being prepared to recommend some great dishes! We started with the beef carpaccio and added the truffle oil ($3 more) to it, along with a side of focaccia bread (extra charge). It was so heavenly! 10/10 recommend starting off with it! For dinner my boyfriend got the filet mignon with the caramelized onions & gorgonzola cheese and holy moly did it cut like butter! It was soooo tender, he couldn’t stop eating it. I got the rack of lambs with the mint sauce and wow! Don’t tell my mother, but BEST rack of lambs I’ve ever had! Compliments to the chef, thank y’all so much for such a perfect local meal! I work in the service industry and I cannot wait to recommend Cha Bella to my guests looking for more great places to dine at.

WOW I️ don’t think I️ can find the words to express how amazing it was to have our intimate wedding at Cha Bella! We worked with Aleesa to plan our big day and it could not have gone better. Our wedding had ~50 guests and the ceremony and reception took place on the beautiful outdoor patio. The passed hors d’oeuvres and 3 course plated dinner were so delicious, came out warm, and were served on time. People were telling us all night how much they enjoyed the food. I️ worked with Aleesa to plan the decor and it looked exactly like I️ envisioned it! (Highly recommend taking advantage of the decor package if you are having an event here!) We didn’t have a DJ but were able to play our own playlists through the restaurant speakers which worked great. Everyone we interacted with was extremely warm and welcoming and helped our day run smoothly. Honestly I️ have nothing but praise for the team at Cha Bella and would highly recommend having your intimate wedding there!

If you're planning a special event in Savannah, look no further than Cha Bella! We had our wedding reception there, and it was an absolute dream. Even though we were organizing everything from the other side of the world, the team at Cha Bella made the process so smooth and stress-free. They prepared a custom table setup that was just perfect, and helped us choose a delicious menu that all our guests loved. Every detail was taken care of with such care and attention, it felt like we were there planning it ourselves. The food was incredible, the ambiance was perfect, and the staff were so friendly and professional. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate our special day. If you’re looking for a top-notch restaurant in Savannah, I can’t recommend Cha Bella enough!

Google
Thank you for such a magical evening. The hostess was very friendly and helpful during the evening. I unfortunately forgot her name. Lisa, our waitress was so very helpful with food choices and knowledge of the menu. I was so pleased with the evening I gave her a hug. Thank you for providing such a gem in Savannah! We love supporting local families and farmers! We will definitely be back with each visit to Savannah. Much love, Tim & Paige

Google
Service was great employees were great. But the whole time we were there seemed like we were being rushed. I was looking forward to this meal and figured with those prices it would be good. We basically paid 200$ for a steak dinner and appetizer that was completely disappointing. Id probably go for drinks and some appetizers but the food was not worth the prices.

Google
The food was so good! My husband and got both got different pastas (mine was a mushroom-cream one - can’t remember the name from months ago). The drinks were also a great start to the night. We sat in the loft upstairs, and had a nice view of the whole place. I definitely recommend this spot for Italian food in Savannah.

Yelp
We had the best experience at Cha Bella last evening! Beautiful outdoor patio that we were able to enjoy with our dogs. Cocktails were inventive and delicious. We started with the mezz platter- so fresh and amazing flavors! We had the filet and shrimp risotto. Highly recommend both. We ended with the goat cheese cheesecake- unique and so good!! The service was spot on.. attentive, helpful and so friendly and genuine. Highly, highly recommend!

Yelp
What an incredible culinary experience from start to finish. Highly recommend if you are looking for a true foodie experience unique to Savannah. Every dish was thoughtful and perfectly executed. Favorites were the tomato burratta salad, deviled eggs, and mushroom pasta. They also know how to make a mean cocktail. We were a big loud group and the server did an amazing job managing us, thank you. The ambiance is a vibe itself and matches well with the space. Simple and effective. Do not sleep on this place, it was amazing!

Yelp
Visited ChaBella for dinner on a Tuesday night. I went in OpenTable to make a reservation the same night around 5 pm and it showed they didn't have anything earlier than 8 pm however when we showed up it was very quiet; there were plenty of empty tables and it didn't get more full while we were there, so not sure why OpenTable was that way. We would have preferred to come earlier. We opted to sit on the outside garden patio which was very romantic and quaint. I like that for the tables of two they placed the chairs next to each other as opposed to seating them facing each other. There was an old b&w movie being projected on the building's wall and they had cute hanging swings. The patio wasn't too crowded. There was a large family at one big table and then a couple smaller tables. They only had one server covering the patio and service was very slow. I tried the Toasted Coconut cocktail - it was tasty, not too, too sweet. To start, we shared the caprese. The burrata was very good and I loved all the flavors. For my main, I had the grouper and my fiancé got the caramelized onion tagliatelle & added bacon. The grouper dish was light and good; nothing that wowed me. My fiance couldn't eat much of the pasta dish - it was very heavy. Once our food came, we never really saw our server again. Pretty much everyone cleared out and we were waiting for him to come around and bring us our bill. We got stuck there an additional 10+ minutes longer than we needed to be. If we were to come back, we'd try other dishes. It has a lot of potential - our experience was just a miss

Yelp
Nice outdoor patio and atmosphere inside. Good wine. Also the farm to table concept is great. However we were very disappointed in our food and left hungry.

Yelp
We made reservations for a large party during a business trip down to Savannah. We were seated promptly and the restaurant was quite hot. There is an interesting smell, and it got worse in the bathrooms. It was a moist, vinegar smell- not especially one you'd like to smell in a restaurant. All of the wait staff seemed to be dripping sweat. There was a single oscillating fan in the corner to cool the area. We waited a significant amount of time for our food to arrive after ordering (enough for us to spend time outside and come back in and it still wasn't at the table). When the food came we were all quite underwhelmed. I ordered the hog chop at the recommendation of the waiter, who told us that it was cooked in a sous vide and then finished in cast-iron. It was incredibly dry. The goat creamed kale side was incredibly salty and was almost like a kale soup. I can't say I'll return or that I'd recommend Cha Bella. Perhaps there was a reason they were able to seat a party of 11 so readily.

Yelp
What a gem of a restaurant. I found it on Yelp weeks in advance of our trip to Savannah and I'm so glad it came up. The farm to table was obvious with the fresh ingredients and unique menu. We started off with the hummus & chips- I know what you're thinking, chips? Yes, the most delicious compliment to the flavorful hummus with fresh herbs. For our main dish, we shared the 20oz ribeye with sides of string beans and whipped potatoes. The steak was prepared to perfection and the whipped potatoes were great. I'd skip the string beans next time. Service was great and the Christmas decorations made our dinner extra special. We fell in love with the city of Savannah and plan to return to Cha Bella the next time were in town!

Yelp
Terrible service, mediocre food. There are a lot better places to enjoy in Savannah. We will not be returning

Yelp
Cha-Bella is a farm to table restaurant and it's little further away from a lot of the tourist spots. I would say reservations are a must. Service : 5 stars. Our waitress was good and provided us some good recommendations. Food: the bread was so good and adding the ricotta cheese and olive to it was so good. We fought who could have the remaining cheese left on the plate. I had the grouper and asked if the could put crab on it. Glad I made that decision. My husband had the lamb and enjoyed it. My friend has the shrimp and crab risotto and savored every bite of it. I don't have a photo of the tagliatelle with pesto, but the two people at the table said it was only ok. They had to ask for salt to give it some taste. All in all everyone enjoyed their meal. I'm giving this place a thumbs up and definitely worth a visit.

Yelp
To me, there is little that compares to the satisfaction and joy that a farm-to-table restaurant brings. Being that corporations and big food have largely taken over America, it is incredibly refreshing to see businesses supporting local farmers, ranchers, and artisans. Cha Bella is doing just that. Transparency about the sources of food being served is what sets restaurants like these apart from the rest. They list their vendors on the menu to give you that salt of the Earth feeling and the quality does not disappoint. The cocktails were creative, cute and super tasty. Everything was absolutely delicious but my favorite was the beef carpaccio. The pop and flavor of the runny duck egg in the center was beautiful. I was hesitant about the blue cheese steak but our waiter reassured me that it is one of their most popular dishes and indeed, it exceeded expectations! The lamb chops were also excellent. The no-frills approach to the decor and the dim lighting added to the ambiance that a farm-focused dining experience naturally offers. The servers were knowledgeable of the menu as well as warm and inviting. Savannah has many great options, but I firmly believe that choosing establishments that prioritize local is the way to go!

Yelp
Third time here, always bring new diners with us. I m usually very good at recommending restaurants and everyone seems to ask for recommendations. This is a wonderful restaurant with equally wonder meals. The service was excellent McKinsey was engaging and on point.. We shared whipped ricotta app ...Delish. Also grilled romaine salad and scallop app. Tagliatelle w scallop awesome. Steak and whipped potatoes!! Everyone loved their entrees. We will be back!! Wines selection gave many options. I had lamb n sautéed mushrooms, loved every bit of it. Steaks were great and whipped potatoes.

Yelp
Super cool vibes with AMZING AMD SCRUMPTIOUS locally sourced menu items! The cheese board is a MUST as well as the very rich goat cheese kale. I ordered the sea bass with succotash and my colleague the gnocchi- cannot go wrong either way! Service was too notch, super knowledgeable and fast and FRIENDLY! The restaurant has a very nice wine list though my colleague tried a couple of the cocktails and he said they were delicious craft drinks (whisky sours with egg white foam). Definitely highly recommended and I will be going back.

Yelp
I did a food tour last time I was in Savanah and one of my first stops was Cha-Bella. The food here is amazing and you could taste the love and quality put into every single dish. Loved the cocktails that were refreshing with the heat. Service and decor were also great. Great locally owned restaurant where you will have a wonderful experience.

Yelp
We really enjoyed the patio at cha Bella; the swings were very fun! We got the beef carpaccio, deviled duck egg, and gnocchi. Recommend getting a small half order of the focaccia if you do get any pastas to soak up the sauce.
google avatar

Yelp
WOW! Amazing food, staff, and drinks. I got the pork chop with mashed potatoes and for dessert the orange crème brûlée. The BEST pork I've ever eaten. So beyond pleased with this dinner. Perfect from start to finish. Great vibe with cute swings outside.

Yelp
We had an interesting dinner at Cha-Bella. We arrived at 6pm sharp for our dinner reservation. We asked to be seated on their patio, and they were able to accommodate. The patio is very nice. Under big old river oaks, open and inviting. Kailyn, our server was excellent! She brought us our bottle of wine and got our appetizers ordered quickly. The appetizers were great, deviled duck eggs with bacon, and a balsamic reduction. Scallops with bacon...perfectly cooked. The main course is where they had some challenges. My grouper was very good. Nice sear with pickled veg. on a light bed of a potato puree. I would give it a 7 out of 10 only because it had obviously sat for a bit and was luke warm. My wife's risotto was a hard fail, and we sent it back. Somehow, it was undercooked in the center and mushy on the outside. It did not get the attention risotto needs on the stove. Whoever plated this did not know or care it looked bad as soon as we saw it. We sent it back, and we're not charged. At this point, my wife was not as hungry and ordered the capri salad. Wow...(see photo) When Kailyn put it in front of her, my wife burst out laughing. We have officially named it the capri-nis salad. The burrata was....ummm....firm and milky. Overall, it is a "memberable" evening.

Yelp
A lovely restaurant with incredibly attentive service. On a Saturday evening, only folks with reservations were being seated, so I recommend making one. Our server was phenomenal and helpful. I did find the pappardelle a bit bland and probably should have asked for some extra sauce or cheese but I didn't bother and that's on me. The shrimp were plump, quality, and cooked perfectly. My friend with celiac disease was able to order several items and loved the buttermilk potatoes the most. The famous risotto is also good.

Yelp
Great food, great patio, great service. We had a long, beautiful dinner on the patio. The steak and grouper were outstanding. Service was attentive and pleasant but not overbearing. Nicely done Cha-Bella.

Yelp
Went here as a group of 14 for a bachelorette party and had a great time. We were sat separately from most of the other diners which allowed our large group some privacy and the room was decorated perfectly. The food was delicious, we ordered the focaccia and the grilled romaine to start and share then I ordered the hog chop with the goat creamed kale. We tried the risotto and tagliatelle as well, everything was impressive! The service was also great, we loved it!

Yelp
Worst place that I have been in my life, went with family for thanksgiving dinner and after waiting for almost 4 hours the food was horrible I could have had better food at Burger King. This place should be closed.

Barbara N.

Yelp
It was hard to find a restaurant that was open on a Monday night but we decided on Cha Bella and we were not disappointed. Our waiter, Shawn was incredibly helpful, taking time to explain some of the menu options we considered. He was attentive & charming. Our food was delicious. We each had a glass of wine, shared two salads, and a charcuterie plate, as well as dessert. The salads were so fresh and satisfying; we had the charred romaine & the Caprese. The corn meal fried oysters on the romaine salad were as light as air. We could've eaten more of them! The chocolate cheese cake was a perfect dessert to share. The moody eclectic atmosphere had a cool vibe. We loved it all and will definitely return next time we're in Savannah.

Yelp
Went here for my birthday dinner with a few friends. It was a Tuesday evening and the restaurant was by no means slammed or busy. Drink and appetizers came out a little but slow were well prepared. When we ordered 2nd drinks and our meals they took an absurd amount of time to come. So much so that our waitress offered us desserts without even realizing we had not had our meals. We thought maybe she was offering us something to hold us over in case something happened that caused such a delay - but nope. She didn't even realize she never brought our meals or that we hadn't eaten until one of my friends brought it up. When our meals finally did come out they were cold and certainly not fresh. We attempted to talk to the manager before we left but he seemed very apathetic to the whole situation and just asked us "well, what would you want me to do about it?" It was my first time in the restaurant and i have no desire to return. Not even apologetic for the lapse in service or experience.

Yelp
After discovering one of our tour guides also served as a guide for a Savannah food tour, we acted on her recommendation to eat at Cha-Bella and... words do not do justice, but I will give it a college try. The restaurant is beautifully done and if it's cool enough to sit outside I recommend it - the outdoor dining space is very romantic once the sun goes down. To say this place is a hidden gem is a vast understatement. The food here is beyond phenomenal - my husband and I both agreed it is one of the best meals we have ever had (both being avid foodies and always looking for quality fine dining experiences). In looking at tons of restaurant honorable mentions and travel related TikTok's about Savannah, nobody mentioned this place but it deserves a top spot on the "don't miss this" list. We loved it so much we came back a second night for our last dinner in Savannah rather than try something that we knew wouldn't stand up to our previous nights' meal. Chef's menu is farm to table and heavily influenced by what's in season, so while my photos of what we ordered probably won't be quite the same for you, just trust me and go. Cocktails are delish, and respectable wine list that has something for everyone. I can't say enough good things, so just go experience the genius for yourself!

Dave W.

Yelp
Food is excellent. Service (at least our waiter) was horrible. I would return though. Hopefully he was just having a bad night.

Yelp
I'm from Georgia and wanted a taste of Louisiana. They delivered brilliantly! The folks there were Absolutely wonderful and the food was delicious. The owner of the establishment still makes the food and helps deliver it to your table. The entire experience was exiting and enjoyable.

Yelp
Cha-Bella is an upscale farm to table restaurant, so all of the ingredients are fresh and the menu changes with the seasons. I had been past this restaurant several times and it looked good so I finally decided to give them a try. I made a reservation through Open Table and noted we were celebrating an anniversary. This was recognized at the hostess table. In the beginning of the meal, the restaurant was quiet and the server was attentive to our table. We weren't interested in any of the appetizers, so we went straight for the entrees. The meals took so long to come out the waitress had to offer us more bread since we were hungry! I ordered the Shrimp & Crab Risotto and my boyfriend ordered the 24 ounce rib eye. Both of our meals were delicious! The ribeye came with 2 sides, a potato gratin and green beans. He is so picky when it comes to meats at a restaurant, so when he has nothing to complain about you know it was good! The dessert options looked good, but not nothing I was in the mood for. The drink menu was underwhelming. Several of the cocktails on the specialty menu were made with Smirnoff and other cheaper liquors. For the price of those... we stuck to wine. It took about 30 minutes for the waitress to bring us our check after we declined dessert and 2nd round of drinks. We didn't see her, or another associate during this time period.

Yelp
On our last night in Savannah for our mini-moon, we had dinner at Cha-Bella in the gorgeous outdoor patio area and a lovely experience overall. When you think of southern and farm-to-table cuisine combined with southern charm, Cha-Bella fits the bill perfectly. Their freshly made and prepared food is divine and deeply satisfying to the last bite. The vibes when you enter Cha-Bella is that of a cool old Aunt's house that has collected some stylish artwork, with a spacious and hospitable back patio with fans spinning and food that will leave you beyond full and satisfied for at least a week. We took a table in the said patio, which felt more like a backyard party with people enjoying the vibes, the drinks, and the food served. The Ginny Fizz certainly satisfied my cocktail needs that were refreshing and citrusy before we indulged in a smorgasbord of bacon goodness. The Bacon and Whiskey Board was decadent between the thick-cut candied bacon, crispy pork belly, and creamy pancetta-filled eggs rolls that paired very well with the whiskey served. Unfortunately, I don't remember all the whiskeys outside the Legacy, but that board could have been enough for us. But alas, we had seared scallops that were served with crispy leeks and pancetta that sent us to the point of food coma. We indeed went beyond a level between ordering the Key Lime Pie and the Goat Cheese Cheesecake that were amazing and filling. I don't think we ate anything the next day because we were still working off this meal. I applaud Cha-Bella for bringing us to a place of culinary connection and collectiveness from which all dining experiences should deliver. Cha-Bella is an epic symphony of foodie oneness, one of the best restaurants we had in Savannah during our Mini-Moon.

Yelp
Probably one of the highlights of our trip to Savannah! This place was absolutely beautiful and the food yummy. Came by here on a food tour and sampled some local shrimp dish that was fabulous. We tried to book dinner here, but unfortunately they were booked for the next couple of days were were in town, but we will definitely be back to experience the full deal very soon!!!

Yelp
So we decided to head to Savannah for an early Sunday evening dinner. Cha-Bella is at the farther end of the city on East Broad St almost in a quiet residential neighborhood. I will say the restaurant Looks great! There is a small but nice little bar as you walk in on the right and a very welcoming comfortable dining room. They also have a big outdoor patio that's covered! We decided to opt for a bottle of Louis LaTour Pinot Noir, but they were out so they subbed (asking us before they did of course) with a bottle of Böen a Russian River Valley Sonoma Pinot. While the wine was good, it did not seem to be a Pinot. Almost more of a red blend. Obviously a French or any old world Pinot would have a little more of non-fruit for aromas and flavors and this wine was very fruity. Not bad at all just different. We then opted for 3 apps. Scallops with crispy leeks and bacon, carpaccio with cherry tomatoes, and grouper cakes. (Think of crab cakes except using fish instead!). Scallops were good. Carpaccio lacked seasoning and I know where it was...in my grouper cakes. Really over seasoned, to the point it kind of burned the back of my throat. Nothing on the menu really invited and more exploration. Our server was very friendly and attentive. If the food matched the service it would have been 5 stars easy!!

Yelp
Excellent meal and very good service. We enjoyed the walk from the Kimpton Brice Hotel and the food exceeded our expectations. We will definitely return when we are in Savannah again!

Yelp
We were a large party, 15, and were lucky to get reservations. It was a 50th birthday party and we wanted to do a cake after dinner. OK, first the food. REALLY GOOD! (4 1/2 stars) My wife won with her rack of lamb. My tenderloin steak could have used more seasoning. Drinks were VERY overpriced which leads me to the 'only' 3 stars. We wanted to do a cake after dinner. Now understand that with dinner and drinks we have all dropped at least a $100 per person. But NOW they want a $5 per person cake slicing fee. SERIOUSLY? now I kinda get that maybe you might have lost revenue on desserts. BUT, you DEFININTELY lost revenue on post dinner aperitifs - or at least coffees. If you are charging $16 for a Long Island Iced Tea then you are probably charging $10 or more for Bailey's up, or an Amaretto or brandy or port or whatever. That was probably another $150 that walked out the door over a stupid cake cutting charge of $75. We went back to one of the rentals for cake. WAKE UP AND SMELL THE APERTIFS!

Yelp
Had a great dinner here our first night in Savannah - seems a lot of locals go here! I had a wonderful fish dinner - I think it was grouper.

Yelp
Great Experience!! We were skeptical as the restaurant seemed empty upon arrival but we realized it was Sunday around 8:00pm. We noticed many restaurants are closed on Sundays in the city. This restaurant was close walking distance to the Thompson hotel. Quiet, empty restaurant and we were greeted by the 3 employees that were still working. Very kind and ready to accept us. We started with beef carpaccio and caprese. We love burrata and that is what the caprese was served with verses the expected fresh mozzarella. The burrata was beautiful and you could tell was either made in house or locally sourced as it had the imperfect look with the knot and all! We added truffle oil and that was a perfect addition. The carpaccio had great flavors when you got a bite with the onion, capers and fried duck egg! The menu was smaller in person then what we saw online and at first a little bummed but then we found things to enjoy. The shrimp and crab risotto was pleasantly light with this amazing garlic sauce and ample amounts of both shrimp and crab. Also had the 24oz Ribeye... which was HUGE! My husband loves a good steak and usually can take the big cuts but even he couldn't finish. A lot of fat but still tons of meat. Cooked to a perfect medium and flavoring was on point. The Brussels sprouts for a side were to die for! A bit of mustard/horseradish type bite with a rich fatty flavor from the bacon. I'd love the recipe for at home cooking.

Yelp
This place was delicious! I wish we would of had dinner here earlier in our trip so we could of ate here more than once! I got the chicken & risotto dinner! 10/10

Yelp
This was our 3rd visit here and still absolutely outstanding. It even impressed my mother, which is impossible... I just love this location and of course we made reservations through open table. Makes life easier. I tried their season beet salad and my entree was the grouper. This was the catch of the day. It was good. My husband got the cast iron pork chop and that chop was about 2 inches thick! Very amazing how they were able to cook it perfectly. That is a skill with a cut of meat that thick! My mom got the filet and all of her sides were great too. I was impressed the mushroom medley had lions mane mushrooms in it even!

Yelp
Oh Cha Bella was such a delight! The food is farm to table and our waitress told us they don't even have a freezer! The food was soooo awesome and we had an amazing experience. We ordered a Malbec which was nice and very light. Now on to the food! [APPS] Bread is made in house and was brought out with an olive oil tampanade with balsamic, Parmesan and herbs....incredible! Grilled Romaine - this salad twist with cornmeal dusted oysters was good. It could have had more dressing but still great!! Clams - the hubby had this and the sauce was sooo delish! [DINNER] I ordered the pork chop which is super large and had a ton left over! It was so flavorful. The greens had a sweet taste so I wasn't a fan but the mashed potatoes were incredible. The asparagus was cooked perfectly. Hubby had the steak special and it was soooooo good! The Parmesan potatoes were so great!! They were cut in circles and the Parmesan just sent it over the edge. Fantastic experience and very reasonable pricing relative to the servings.

Yelp
Great restaurant. Nice decor, close to hotel. Wait staff was awesome. Friendly and helpful. Inside and patio seating too. Nice bar area too. Be careful on the quantity you order, we did two apps, then an entree with a side, and dessert, and left STUFFED! I had the bacon wrapped scallops. Scallops cooked just right. The bacon used with them was AMAZING. Thick cut, fat was crisp, the salty bacon taste added to the scallops! Yumm! I got the proscuito crusted chicken breast stuffed with Gruyere cheese on a bed of Butternut squash and drizzled with Basalmic vinegarette. Awesome combination of flavors, textures, consistency. The salty proscuito with the mild tender chicken breast oozing the cheese. Finally the Chocolate Bread Pudding desert. Sounds odd, right? But it was perfect combo. Sweet, chocolately combo to end the meal. Basic bread pudding with condensed milk but the white and dark chocolate chips that come out hot, oozy, gooey, from the oven make it special. A drizzle of chocolate syrup to top it off! I HIGHLY recommend this place. Get a RESERVATION since they can fill up.

Yelp
As a local, we don't really come to this spot because of its location being right near some big tourist spots and not too much parking. But this last visit was pleasantly good! We had several friends in town and this was one of the only places in town with reservations still. I live a grilled romaine salad and this was perfectly executed. Nice char flavoring on the lettuce without being too soggy. They also too their with some friend oysters! Main dishes were also yummy, but didn't really stand out amongst the crowd. Would probably come back here again with a large group, but might not be on the top of the list for Savannah restaurants.

Yelp
The decor felt like a blend of Hobby Lobby and TLC's Trading Spaces circa 2006. The appetizers weren't half bad, but I highly doubt the romaine was even cleaned. After about an hour wait, the table's entrees arrived room temp and undercooked. I went with the chicken (I know you shouldn't get chicken at nice restaurants but the goat cheese kale side sounded good) and it is was so dry and bland. The plating was also incredibly sloppy. When we made our complaints known we were met with the "short staffed" excuse. Fair, but, I don't think that excuse works when our table of 8 is the last in the restaurant and there were at least 5 front of house employees still at the restaurant. I've been in food service for 6+ years and have so much patience and understanding for anyone else in the industry, but this was probably the lousiest service and worst food I have ever paid over $50 for. I love the idea of a farm-to-table, fine-dining adjacent restaurant, but unless this place can make some serious changes to their entire operational model, I highly recommend going to any of the other fantastic restaurants in Savannah.

Yelp
Today we had dinner at Cha-Bella. The hotel made reservations at this spot for us. As soon as we walked in, we found a sign that said no walk-ins allowed. Maybe they're understaffed. Everyone we encountered was amiable and helpful. We order the lamb ribs and the rib eye. Both were good but not extraordinary. The setting was lovely and inviting but not high-end. One of the things I liked was the wine list. It was not overpriced at all. It is an excellent place to have dinner.

Yelp
Where on your menu or website do you say you add a service charge for a party of 12 people? My 88-year-old MIL gave you an extra $60 because she didn't know and no one told her. And then no one returned her call. Y'all are pathetic. Shame on you.

Yelp
Chicken was rubber. Sent it back. The grouper was bland. Dessert was average key lime and cheesecake. Service was really bad. Slow. Forgot about us on more then one occasion. Not going back. Beautiful build out.

Yelp
Stopped by as part of a walking "food tour" and had a small portion of their shrimp and risotto which was excellent. Our host was engaging and their special Old Fashioned was excellent. We will def be back for a more formal dining evening.

Yelp
Had a great experience tonight at a new place for me. Went out with a group tonight and had a great experience here. Got reservations for 5:45pm but showed up due to lack of traffic at like 5:15pm and they were able to seat us. The decor is dark but the art spectacular and made a very nice atmosphere for dining and their music choice was nice and at a level where diners are truly comfortable without having to talk loud. Our server was Cati, if you can ask for her by name. She was attentive, professional and beyond knowledgeable about their food and drinks. Truly made the night wonderful having her as our server. The food is a pleasure but I'm not sure they have a view of what they truly are beyond farm to table. The menu is very eclectic and has visions of Italian, to southern, to American. Which truly isn't a bad thing as it gives you many options to choice from but it's not one style of food which allows everyone in your party to get something they'll enjoy. Started with shareable appetizers: the duck arranicci, deviled duck eggs, and their kale and garlic gnocchi. They were beyond fabulous. Truly great portion sizes and their flavors are spot on delicious. I got their Hog Chop and couldn't have been more pleased. It was a truly amazing meal and I highly recommend this location if you're visiting Savannah. It was a great meal and great location.

Yelp
The service was very lousy. Our waitress was busy chatting with other clients and totally did not pay attention to our table. It took more than half our to get the food. We waited long time to get the bill after we requested it. I had to go inside and complain to finally get the bill.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised! Nice decor, check out the patio! Must try the Pork & Whiskey, everything is made in house. Delicious desserts too!

Yelp
Meh. That's it. That's what this place was. Frozen carpaccio. The catch of the day (grouper) unseasoned with a sour sauce the best thing on that plate was the two pieces of bakchoy. My husbands steak was also meh. Server was great. Would I recommend or go back? Nope.

Yelp
I just wanna say that this place was too Notch from the food to the service. It was The day before New Year's Eve I just drove into town after a very long long traffic filled experience. They where booked and allowed myself and another to sit at the two bar seats when they were not taking walk ins. The servers and bar tenders we are super top notch and made the experience exciting and exceptional! The food was worth the price and I had absolute no problems tipping above and beyond for the service provided. Thank you for reminding me what I am Missing out on in the town I live in!
