The Best Chinese Food in Las Vegas | Eater Vegas

"Chef Kenny Chye’s restaurant is a standby for Las Vegas vegans. Having mastered the art of recreating dim dum dishes without animal products, standouts here include a spicy crispy beef in a sweet glaze with chopped peanuts, fluffy rounds of roti bread with spiced and savory curry for dipping, and sushi — like a convincing version of a spicy tuna roll." - Janna Karel

Where to Find the Best Dim Sum in Las Vegas | Eater Vegas

"Chef Kenny Chye has been offering vegan and vegetarian Chinese food to the Vegas area for a while, and the latest addition to his family of restaurants is a vegan dim sum concept that steps away from the traditional pork and shrimp-heavy classic dim sum dishes in favor of items like steamed pork buns made with soy products, squash, and mushroom for a deeply umami bite." - Janna Karel

Off-Strip vegan and vegetarian restaurants in Las Vegas | Eater Vegas

"It’s pretty rare to find vegan — or even vegetarian — versions of dim sum, so when chef Kenny Chye decided to take a foray into these Cantonese classics, he filled a real void for plant-based eaters in the Vegas area. You’ll find vegan takes on dishes like shrimp siu mai, egg tarts and barbecue pork buns, as well as some Chinese favorites from his other spot." - Katie Swalm

This is the best vegan food I have ever had. I have been vegetarian for 17 years and never have I seen a menu with such variety. Each dish was delicious and the service was exceptional. The staff were friendly and attentive. I couldn’t recommend this restaurant enough.

Google
I’ve tried Chef Kenny’s twice now, and while the food is pretty good and the service is friendly, I’m not sure it fully lives up to the hype—and the location definitely affects the overall experience. The area around the restaurant felt a bit sketchy. There are even signs warning customers to lock their cars and not leave valuables inside. While we were waiting for the restaurant to reopen between lunch and dinner, a homeless man walked up and peered into our car—only backing off once he noticed we were inside. It was extremely uncomfortable, especially with my 10-year-old daughter in the car. Now, onto the food: the portions are generous and the flavors are decent, though a bit heavy. I had the General Tso’s chicken both times—it’s solid, I’d give it a 4/5. My husband tried both the shrimp and orange chicken. The orange chicken was overly sweet for our taste (3/5), and the shrimp, unfortunately, was a total miss for both of us (0/5). We were expecting something battered and fried, but the texture and flavor just didn’t work. All in all, I’d give Chef Kenny’s a 3.8/5. It’s not bad by any means, but it wouldn’t be at the top of my list, especially given the uncomfortable experience outside. I hope they eventually move to a better location, because the concept definitely has potential.

Google
A viable vegetarian Chinese restaurant a short ride away from the middle of the Strip. Welcoming vibe with server offering up recommendations from the menu. Food came out quickly and hot. Could not tell it was vegetarian on first glance. Tasty and authentic. Choice of white or brown rice or both with two entrees. Not a unscaled Strip eatery but a good solid comfort food stop.

Google
The food here is insanely good. We ordered a lot of food, but it was so good we didn't waste a bite! There's not really much to say other than it's absolutely delicious and I would 100% recommend this place to everyone! Our server was lovely too, very friendly and efficient. I would recommend the general tzos chicken, and the crispy aubergine especially. They were unbelievably good!

I am in Vegas for a work trip and found this adorable restaurant. The staff are incredibly nice and the food is delicious. I am so happy this place was here. The biggest problem I had was that the restaurant is filled with delicious smells and everything on the menu sounded good so me, being starving, had a hard time deciding what to get. Everything I had was tasty! Including dessert.

Google
Regardless if you are vegan or not you need to try this place. Dim sum is amazing. I’m not vegan and I enjoyed all of the flavors and all the varieties of food. I have been to a non vegan dim sum and I could barely tell the difference. Everything was super tasty. The orange chicken shocked me. If I didn’t know that it was vegan I would not have know I want to go back. Such an awesome experience. Highly recommend.

Google
AMAZING! One of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to! Food was INCREDIBLE and they were so fast and friendly. Orange chicken was the best I’ve ever had (Vegan or not) and the whole menu being vegan made it super easy for my girlfriend (who’s vegan) and me who’s not. Sushi was great too! Sorry our photos are of half eaten dishes, we couldn’t stop eating to take pics, it was that good!

Yelp
Chef Kenny is the man!! Friendly, fast service and delicious vegan cuisine! We started with a hot tea, fried chicken, pork buns, and cream cheese wontons. The pork buns came out first with a quickness. They were light and chewy. Soon to follow was the fried chicken and wantons. BEST VEGAN FRIED CHICKEN I have ever fried. They nailed the crispness and the texture, also comes with a perfectly balanced buffalo dipping sauce. I would make the 25 minute drive just to satisfy a fried chicken craving! The cream cheese wantons were on point too! Crispy and melt in your mouth creamy. That also came with a sweet dipping sauce that compliments the flavor and brings the appetizer together. As our main dish we shared a sexy roll and a sweet and sour chicken plate off the lunch menu. The plates come with a listed dish and a side of rice. The sweet n sour chicken tasted exactly how you want it to taste. Sweet, sour and crunchy without being greasy. The roll was delicious and almost tasted like you were eating a roll with fish on it. How do they do it?!! We loved the zodiac placemats at the tables (which brought us back to our dining childhood memories), beautiful floral arrangements and wide open dining areas. Plenty of room and larger tables for parties of 6 or more. I can't wait to visit this delicious cruelty free restaurant again and sample more from the menu!

Yelp
Love Chef Kenny's! One of my fav vegan places in Vegas. I love the Walnut Shrimp and Crispy Beef!!! Today though, we finally came early enough to do some lunch specials (and I was honestly surprised by how many people were there at opening!): Kung Pao Chicken Lunch Special and Yee Shang Eggplant Lunch Special. Both specials each come with a cup of the daily soup, and ours today was a vegetable soup with tofu. The Kung Pao Chicken was listed as spicy, but I didn't find it particularly spicy. I did love it though, and I wished that there was a higher ratio of chicken to vegetables on my plate, but I enjoyed the veggies and the nuts!! The Yee Shang Eggplant is comparable to the Sautéed Eggplant at China Mama! Overall, always a yummy time at Chef Kenny's. Good service, cute spot, good food.

Yelp
Food: tasty Service: quick and descriptive Ambiance: clean, cultural, and open space What a great find! My family and I came here because we were eating vegan for the day. We ordered: Yee Shang eggplant Walnut shrimp Deep fried taro with chicken Spicy tuna sushi roll House friend rice Cantonese fried fish Egg and vegetables noodle Everything was flavorful, fresh, and tasty! My favorite was the fried rice and Cantonese pan fried fish. The flavors and sauces on both were really good. Even though the sushi looked cool and was unique, I didn't like the it as much. The spicy tuna was made of carrot, and I don't really like mushy carrots like that. Chef Kenny was there for the Xmas holiday and he prepped a unique dish for us and another table. It was the egg with veggies noodle. It contained actual egg*. It was really good! My family was surprised by how much they liked the food. They are excited to go back and try other dishes!

Yelp
My family and I stopped by here for dinner because my uncle is vegan. He was hoping to eat the "fake" chicken dish that he loves from another restaurant. The closest thing I found on the menu to this dish would be the Vegan Fried Chicken. Here's what we ordered: Orange chicken Vegan fried chicken Spinach dumpling Chive pan fried dumpling Salt and pepper fried tofu Broccoli and oyster sauce To sum it up, we realized we ordered a lot of fried dishes. I thought orange chicken and salt and pepper fried tofu were decent. Everything was on the bland side and I can't say the food is as delicious as other vegan places I've been to. I think it's an option for those who are looking for a vegan restaurant. The server was the best part here. I didn't get his name but it's an older man. He is friendly and has a positive attitude. Plenty of parking spaces.

Yelp
Overhyped. Service was good. The food however, not what o was expecting considering all the vegans and their reviews. The food was lacking luster and innovation. I've had better in the area. Ambiance is open with seating throughout.

Yelp
I've been wanting to come here for a long time since they have a ton of dishes I haven't had since I went vegan, and they did not disappoint. Here are the dishes we got: Dim Sum: egg custard tarts- 10/10, just like I remember them, and my omnivore family thought they were just as good as non-vegan siu mai- 7/10, a little bit dry and had an odd texture, but the flavor was really good shrimp dumplings- 8/10, I liked them, my omnivore parents were underwhelmed baked bbq pork buns- 10/10, buns were slightly crispy on the outside and super pillowy inside sesame balls- 10/10, everyone in my family agreed these were delicious turnip cakes- 5/10, only thing on the table we didn't finish, just okay Regular Menu walnut shrimp- 11/10 this was SO GOOD the mock shrimp is very accurate in terms of taste and texture, and is fried to perfection and the sauce is insanely delicious. this was my favorite thing I've eaten in a while braised tofu with vegetables- 7/10, good but nothing spectacular, surprisingly my omnivore parents really really liked this dish though The inside is pretty spacious and the service is fairly fast. Would love to come back and try the rest of the dim sum menu and some of Chef Kenny's specialty dishes!

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurants on Las Vegas! We stopped by 3 times the last time we were in Las Vegas recently. I even got to chat with Chef Kenny himself and took a picture with him! Like many other reviewers, I'm not vegan or vegetarian but love this restaurant! The food is so delicious and made fresh to order. Our favorite is their Mushroom Tofu Wrap Roll. As you can see from my pictures, I uploaded 3 different pictures of our orders. I can't believe it's vegan! In a side by side comparison to the traditional pork beancurd roll, you won't be able to tell the difference. The Mixed Mushroom Dumpling was also a favorite and we ordered that 3x as well. The skin on the dumpling was delicately made and was the perfect pocket for the mushrooms. I'm not a shiitake mushroom fan in general but loved the flavor of this dumpling that I didn't mind it. I also really liked their vegan chives cake too. The crisp thin skin was pan fried perfectly and gave the right amount of crunch. Again, I don't know how Chef Kenny does it but the filling was spot on. The restaurant is clean and gives off the feel of a traditional Chinese restaurant with the decor, chairs, tables, etc. Stop by Chef Kenny's the next time you're in Las Vegas for some amazing vegan dim sum and Chinese food!

Yelp
It had great number of reviews, I was little skeptical to go to such vegan restaurants as they generally have great reviews but they don't get vegetarian dishes right. It had lovely decorated entry and well decorated interior (see pictures) bringing in good ambiance and was crowded for 6 pm. We were seated right away and we started with mushroom and tom kha soup asked fir vegetables without any fake meat and made extra spicy. Both were nicely done it could have been a tad thicker. For main course we ordered house fried rice and crispy eggplant along with jack fruit roll. Again we asked it to be made spicy, some how this order was taken by different server and we forgot to specify to avoid fake meat. Why the server was changed not sure. Food was ok, but the eggplant was the best. Female servers seems to be more attentive and better service than male guys.

Yelp
Wowowow!! I came here for my friend's birthday since she is vegan and we heard great things about Chef Kenny. The service here was great and we were seated for our reservation right away. I loved our waitress she helped us with everything and was so kind to all of the other customers as well. You can tell this restaurant feels like a family with lots of locals visiting as well. Food: we started off with the soup which was the mixed mushroom with tofu and this was my highlight of the dinner. It was soo delicious and was so perfect on a cold night. I highly recommend. We also got orange beef, siu mai, pork dumpling, steak roll, cream cheese fried wonton, chow mein, and pot stickers. Everything was fresh, hot, and most importantly vegan!! The cream cheese fried wontons surprised me because the cheese tasted very real and also the pot stickers were very flavorful. My least favorite though, is unfortunately the siu mai. The texture was not right and the flavor was quite bland. Ambiance: it is so cute with signs, posters, cultural decorations, and hanging flowers from ceiling. Very family oriented space. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant. I'm very happy I got introduced here because now it's a must stop every time I'm in town !

Yelp
My sister who's Vegan was in town and so we decided to try this place and weren't disappointed. All of us thought this was the best meal we've had since they arrived. As I've noted in earlier reviews, I'm not Vegan but I love to try new food and recipes and this was SUCH an amazing treat. Chef Kenny personally welcomed us into to his restaurant and he, (along with the rest of his staff) are unbelievably gracious and only wanted to make our visit a memorable experience. 6 stars out of 5 for their attentive and friendly service! As for the food, it was even better than the service and I do not say this lightly! We had House Chow Fun (with Shrimp, Beef, and Chicken), Spring Rolls, Spicy Wontons (Chef's suggestion so how could we refuse?), Medium Rare Steak Rolls (!), Orange flavored Crispy Beef and Chive Pancakes which were super thick like a potsticker and filled with a delicious filling that was absolutely magical and I can't recommend highly enough. Honestly, everything we ate had us looking at each other and going NO WAY--Chef Kenny's food was beyond belief and even as a non-Vegan, some of the best Chinese food I've ever had. Seriously. Please don't see Vegan in the title and get put off in any way if you don't swing that way-- I promise you, you will not be disappointed and will eat each dish wondering how in the world they do what they do? I can't even imagine the work and creativity that has gone into some of their recipes to create the illusion of non-vegan food that's still healthy and plant based. I can hardly wait to come back- truly one of the best restaurants I have been to in months! Thanks!!

Yelp
Excellent food. Delicious flavors. Vegan lovers MUST try it ! The service is very homely. Every server is friendly. They close at 3:30 pm for lunch service but if you go in at 3:25 they will still serve you with a smile! It's a clean and open restaurant. Sufficient Parking in the plaza.

Yelp
Let me start off by saying that I'm not a vegetarian nor vegan. I REALLY like my meat, however, this is the best mock meat I have ever had. Some of the beefs actually taste real. Their black pepper beef and Korean beef are really good. I actually really enjoy their sushi rolls as well. While reading the menu, it's crazy to believe that they are fully vegan! My only critique is that their "chicken" and "shrimp" are a little too chewy for me and not like the real thing, but I won't ding them for it. It's just my own personal preference! Service is the okay... it's just like your average Asian restaurant. I think this restaurant is awesome for people who have to get a meal with vegans. Pro tip: If you're not vegan and really enjoy meat, stick with their beef dishes.

Yelp
Yelp Review 2024 #98: I've been a fan of Chef Kenny's since he was still at Greenland in Koreatown and I'm not even vegan/ vegetarian. It's interesting to see the same layout, the same tables and chairs, the same decor...just in a different building along Flamingo. This restaurant can get pretty busy so reserving a table is highly recommended. Make sure your entire party is with you, otherwise, you'll have to wait because they won't seat you. Dim Sum: Mixed mushroom dumplings and vegan siu mai are the ones we've tried. They were a hit! Good texture and umami. 4.5/5 Nigiri: Mushroom nigiri, "salmon" nigiri, "tuna" nigiri are the ones I've tried. Each order comes with 2 pieces. The texture and appearance is similar to regular nigiri. 4/5 Medium Rare "Steak" Roll: An interesting roll without real meat but it has the colorings of the real thing. 4/5 Salt and Pepper Tofu: This is one of my favorites on their menu. Crispy and flavorful on the outside, light and soft on the inside. 5/5 Chow Mein: Has imitation beef, chicken and shrimp pieces and lots of veggies. The noodles are crispy and softened by the sauce. 4/5 Crispy Oyster Mushroom: Another one of my favorites. It comes with a nice dipping sauce. Crispy and delicious. 5/5 Fried "Chicken" This was not a hit with my vegetarian friends. It's breaded and fried fake chicken served with a red sauce. The inside looks like chicken. 3/5 Spicy Pad Thai Noodle: Spicy rice noodles cooked with bell pepper, bean sprout with peanuts. This is definitely spicy so, if you don't like spicy food, don't get this or make sure you notify your server not to make it less spicy. 3.5/5 No outside food/ drink allowed. So, if you don't like any of their food and plan on bringing your own food, just don't.

Yelp
STEPH UPDATE: This is now a must-visit when we're in Vegas. We were hitting this place on our way out of town so ordered a bunch with leftovers in mind: - Tofu mushroom roll - Shrimp har gow - Turnip cakes - Pan fried pork - Orange chicken - Salt and pepper fish - Thai iced tea Still some of the BEST vegan food ever, and our leftovers lasted a good few days. Can't wait for the next time!

Yelp
We loved the concept of vegan dim sum. Unfortunately, most dishes were disappointingly bland. The one exception was the vegan chive cake, which was a savory flavor bomb with a great texture. Both the mixed mushroom and tofu soup and the wonton ramen soup, however, were watery and surprisingly lacking in umami, requiring a good dousing with soy sauce and chili crisp. The Bento box also missed the mark. The prices are reasonable and there's plenty of parking, but the underwhelming quality and dated space indicate you're better else dining elsewhere.

Nette B.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this spot, and I'm glad I did. Our vegan friends told us how good this spot was, so we decided to dine here. Service was good. The decor was interesting but it has character. Food: Vegan Siu Mai BBQ Baked Bun Vegan Crispy Beef Crispy Spicy Eggplant Crispy Oyster Mushroom I'm not a vegan, but for some of the dishes, you can't even tell it's not meat. From the items we ordered, my least favorite was the siu mai. I didn't like the potato like consistency. Also, you can't even tell that the buns were not pork. The entrees were much better. While I enjoyed eating the fried oyster mushroom (like chicken), I truly enjoyed the Crispy Beef and Spicy Eggplant. Idk how they kept the Eggplant Crispy like that with all the sauce. Also, the Crispy Beef sauce was delicious. I, too, couldn't tell it wasn't Beef. That was my favorite. Overall, I'd return again and would recommend this spot to all Vegans.

Yelp
I don't get to come here very often as I would like but I make sure to go at least once a year. The test if the time I am left timing about this I need to go eat this wonderful food staff is patient food is amazing every single time! Their cow mein is my favorite and I love that they have bento lunch specials. Their orange "chicken" has become one of my favorites. I love this place so much.

Yelp
Second time here and not the best experience this time. Food was ok. My favorite dish was the Orange Chicken but other than that no need to go back again. Service was ok, not the friendliest. Ambiance was fine.
google avatar

Shar S.

Yelp
The food is so good here that I forgot to take a picture of any of it before eating it! Everything was so delicious, and the service was so friendly! Also, the ambiance is very chill, and nice place to sit and talk. We tried the Spicy Tuna hand roll, Eel hand roll, spring rolls, rare steak roll, and some nice, hot Jasmine tea. My friend typically eats fish and was so surprised by the awesome taste and texture of everything. 10/10 will definitely return!

Yelp
We came here to eat vegan dinner. It was interesting. The orange chicken was the hit. It was very good. The service was on point too. Pricey but good.

Yelp
This place has gotten way better since we last came here. We come here every time we're in town. The servers are very polite and the service has gotten really good. They're a lot more friendlier now and very attentive to whatever we need. The food is good and has been consistent over the years. Their pho however is okay. It's not as tasty but doable. They check on tables once or twice. I wish they would leave empty plates alone while we eat because they come grab stuff in front of your face but maybe it's customary to help clean dishes away from tables--but it does get distracting and in the way of our eating. Overall, the food is great. Comes out hot. SO MANY SELECTIONS. There are a lot to try here and so far most have been surprisingly good. Will keep coming back because of their vegan selections.

Yelp
Awesome food - we had the orange chicken and the kung Pao. Orange chicken had a nice crisp to it, sauce was great. Kung Pao was so good, especially paired with their white rice to soak up the kung pao sauce. we ordered the vegan egg custard tarts for dessert and they were very good! not too sweet. service is super fast here, we came on a Saturday afternoon and they seated us and served us quickly. they were very kind and answered any questions we had. tons of parking.

Yelp
Wow! This place is great. I got the Dragon roll and the CA roll. Both were very good for $12 each. The chocolate cheesecake was also good too. Wish this place was close to Sacramento. Our service was great too.

Yelp
VEGAN REVIEW another great place recommended by fellow vegan Yelpers. off the beaten path & worth it! very 80's suburban Chinese restaurant vibes, which I loved friendly service. but the real appeal is the FOOD. LA surprisingly does not have great vegan CHinese with mock meats, so this was a treat. we ordered the spicy crispy beef, noodles, spicy eggplant & dumplings. food was fresh & flavorful.
google avatar

Yelp
Wow! This is a must try vegan restaurant in Las Vegas! The food was superb! The service was superb! The vibe was old school Chinese restaurant from when I was a kid! Love love love this place! Can't wait to go back to try more!

Yelp
Spacious parking and an ambiance that exuded tranquility. Our party of four enjoyed a comfortable seating arrangement in a spacious booth. The customer service we received was exceptional, as we were promptly provided with menus and drinks. What we ordered: Appetizers: Vegan Dragon Roll $12.00 Inside has avocado, carrots and cucumbers the top was eggplant, eel sauce, yellow sauce, sesame seeds, avocado. While unique, the sushi roll did not meet our expectations of a dragon roll; it was not a dish we would order again. Steam BBQ Pork Buns $7 Fluffy buns that had a sweet paste like inside. Roti with Curry $7 This was our favorite highly recommend. Curry had chunks of fried potatoes, paired with crispy tortilla roll. Delicious Orange chicken (v) $14.50 Somewhat rubbery, sauce was good, steamed rice was cooked perfectly, salad was dry, gyoza had large chunks of edamame and corn inside. Sushi pieces again weren't a favorite. General Tzo Chicken (v) $14.50 Tasted the same as the orange chicken (v) Curry Chicken w/ Potato (v) $14.50 Tasted like the appetizer, but had a variety of mixed veggies. Korean BBQ Beef (v) $14.50 Again somewhat rubbery texture, slightly too salty. Although we don't follow a plant-based diet, we gave this place a try, and I found the food to be enjoyable. Unfortunately, my family did not feel the same way and would not come back.

Yelp
Amazing food and amazing service! Always had water in my cup and they had no problem answering any questions. With cozy seating and a great vibe, this is truly a vegan gem. I would definitely recommend the general tso's and the pork buns!! I live in LA otherwise I would come back here everyday

Yelp
During my most recent visit, we had Spicy Kung Pao Beef, Sweet & Sour Chicken, Walnut Shrimp, and Vanilla Ice Cream for dessert. The food is out of this world. The food is not oily, but instead relies on textures and sauces dialed in to perfection. As usual, Chef Kenny dropped by our table to greet us. We were also fortunate to chat with a vegan couple visiting from out of state, here for a convention, who have been eating here every day. As far as vegan dining goes in Las Vegas, this place is as good as it gets. The restaurant has good aesthetics and pleasant atmosphere. Service is friendly and attentive. FYI, the bill calculates suggested tips on pre-tax total, while the credit card receipt calculates them on post-tax total.

Yelp
I think a five star rating means there is no room for improvement so I'm a little stingy with them. Chef Kenny's though, absolutely deserves every one of them! We were visiting from out of town and this restaurant is going to the top of the "must go every time we are in Vegas!" We were greeted warmly and seated quickly. The restaurant was decorated in what I would call charming colorful chaos. It was very cheerful and clean. Our waitstaff consisted of three people. They were efficient, super friendly and excellent in their service of our table. The food came quickly and was spectacular!! This is by far the best the best vegan Asian food I've ever had and you could probably even take the "vegan" out of that sentence. You would have to look far and wide to find food and service on a par with Chef Kenny! Just try to stop us from making this a regular stop for us when we are in Vegas!

Yelp
The only reason I'd return to Vegas is for THIS restaurant I'm so sad that there's not really anything like this where I am. Food - AMAZING. I'm in love with the steamed bbq pork buns This was my fave at Dim Sum places when I still ate meat years ago. Honestly, the only thing that was meh was the sushi roll we ordered! I just wasn't a fan of whatever vegan mayo they were using. It was weirdly sweet. The medium rare steak roll was delicious but it felt more like a meatball log. Service - Casual and friendly. Our server seemed like he wanted to make a playful joke as we ordered more but he remained polite and kind! Ambiance - The inside is casual but cute and prettily decorated! It had a nice coziness to it.

Yelp
Can obsessed be the extent of my review? I had been wanting to try this place ever since it popped on my help. It didn't help I had friends who swore by it as well. We finally went to try it and I'm in love! It's located in a stand alone lot with plenty of parking and it's really easy got find. The inside is so beautifully and culturally decorated. It's very spacious inside and perfect for an intimate date, group of friends, or even a family dinner night. The customer service was unmatched. Our servers were extremely friendly and funny as well. They came to check on us throughout the meal. If you're lucky you may even see Chef Kenny walking around asking how your meal was or even seating people!!! Now the food... There is so much to choose from on the menu I had to take a second look through lol. We ordered a lot of food and family style is highly encouraged. The portions you get here for the quality and price are amazing. I love how not everything is soy! They use other meat replacements like mushrooms, jackfruits, and vegetables! I didn't take a picture of all the food listed below because once the plates started flowing, I got lost in the deliciousness of everything. Food: - Cream Cheese Fried Wontons: Tasted just like the Crab Rangoon from a non-vegan restaurant, and the sweet sauce that came with it was amazing - Vegan Shrimp Dumplings: Shrimp dumplings were really good and the dumpling wrapper had a chewy texture to it which I enjoyed. - Crunchy Sushi Roll: Amazing, filled with fresh avocado, carrots, and cucumbers and topped with eggplant, eel sauce, etc. - Jackfruit Sushi Roll: One of my faves, topped with eggplant, kiwi (and I don't even like fruit in my food like that), and jackfruit, - Medium Rare Steak Roll: This one was interesting in a good way to me. It piqued my interest from the picture and did the same thing in person. It kind of reminded me of meatloaf. - Veggie Wonton Soup: my absolute must order item from now on. I panicked and ordered this one because I just couldn't decide want I wanted and I'm so glad I got this. It was one of the best wonton soups I've ever had. That broth was so flavorful and those wontons inside, chefs kiss. This is definitely a shareable item as is the whole menu. They even brought out bowls for all of us to pour some in. - Crispy Oyster Mushroom: deliciously crispy and seasoned to perfection, with a side of yellow sauce that paired well - Spicy Pad Thai Noodle: This one surprised me because I'm not a fan of Pad Thai, but this was delicious! It didn't have the heavy taste of peanut that I've experienced so that may be why I enjoyed it more. It came with beef, chicken and shrimp mixed in and the top one on the side for you to mix in. - House Chow Mein: Can you go wrong with chow mein?! This dish did not disappoint. The noodles were sauce ally and it had a sweet taste to the sauce. - Spicy Cajun Shrimp: This dish was really good and the shrimp was nice and crunchy and the sauce was sooo good. It is spicy so beware for those who have a low spice tolerance like me. The Thai Tea was sooo good! And for desert I tried the Chocolate Cheesecake with Vanilla ice cream! Highly recommend! Nothing on this menu disappointed. I highly recommend coming here with vegan/non vegan eaters because they won't tell the difference.

Yelp
Fantastic food, great service. So many great dishes. Try to order a balance of dishes. It was our first time and we wanted to try all the vegan dishes. Should have ordered some basic veggies as well. We are from LA but when ever we go to Vegas this will be one of our stops. Yummy.

Yelp
Everything here is delicious The hard part is not ordering everything in the same sitting. The menu is enormous and we had a very hard time limiting ourselves to what our stomachs could hold. Thank you for having such a great restaurant.

Yelp
Chef Kenny's Vegan Dim Sum is absolutely amazing! Chef Kenny can do no wrong, I've been to multiple of his businesses before the other ones closed. The ambiance is warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxed meal. The food is outstanding--it's hard to believe it's all vegan! The variety of dim sum options is impressive, and everything we tried was full of flavor. I especially loved the dumplings and bao buns. The service was top-notch as well. The staff was friendly, attentive, and more than willing to explain the menu. Whether you're vegan or just curious, Chef Kenny's is a must-visit in Vegas for a unique and delicious dining experience!

Yelp
This place is amazing. If you are a vegan or flexitarian and in the area, don't miss out on visiting this place! There are many vegan restaurants in Vegas but we kept visiting this place on repeat during our Vegas trip. The steamed buns were pillowy soft (wish they had more filling though). The chive cakes and mushroom dumplings were savory goodness! Also don't miss the roti and curry! And the prices are so cheap too!

Yelp
So I am very skeptical of any restaurant with the word "Vegan" in it... Put the two words Vegan and Dim Sum and I'm downright cynical.....but. This place is absolutely amazing: Every dish was authentic with tastes and textures that were out of this world. I am mos def not a mock meat person....but Chef Kenny changed my whole mindset. Highlights: Bomb ass Pork Baos, Spicy crispy vegan beef OMG.. (I think this is a right wing conspiracy to turn all vegans back into meat sluts) , egg tarts that were stunning! Next time I'm back LV I am coming back stat

Yelp
I'll start with no one in our party was vegan but loved pretty much everything we tried! I saw this post on a Las Vegas Facebook group that said 15% off until mid Nov for locals and that was my initial draw after seeing a ton of comments raving about the food. The service was prompt and friendly. Cute restaurant from what we saw. We started with some dim sum (obviously had to) and the mushroom dumplings were a table favorite. I really liked the curry roti! The bbq pork steamed buns were my least favorite thing we tried in the meal but still were pretty tasty. We all got lunch specials and it came with a miso (I assume?) soup that I did not taste like miso. The forgettable part of the meal but we already had our dim sum delivered HA! Our table got the orange chicken (my personal fave dish of the meal!) broccoli beef which was super delicious and I got Mongolian beef which had a strong ginger taste. I really liked it but the people I was with don't care for a lot of ginger. It did not taste like Mongolian beef to me, but still was yummy. Then we got low mein for some noodles which we also all loved! The shrimp were not my thing but in a texture person as it is and real shrimp are often questionable. We will be back! Lots of positive things to say.

Yelp
So good! My friend and I got a smorgasbord of the dim sum items and we were so pleased with how flavorful and satisfying the food was. Some standouts for me were the turnip cake and the roti with curry. Turnip cake was the perfect texture, soft with a crisp where fried. The roti was so good and thin and fluffy. Some items like the shu mai and shrimp har gow were a little doughy in the fillings instead of an additional different texture, but still fun to try with a good flavor. Service was amazing! Our servers were so kind, helpful, and friendly. I will definitely be bringing more people here next time I'm in the area!

Yelp
I called Chef Kenny's when I was about 10 minutes away for a pick up order. The lady on the phone was very pleasant, answered my questions, and took my order. I ordered sweet and sour chicken 10/10, beyond fried rice 8/10 (it t was a little salty), and chow mein noodles 9/10 (could've used more flavor). Each meat comes with either brown or white rice. When I went inside to pick up the order, the restaurant was relatively quiet, it smelled like good food. My order was ready as soon as I walked in. I ordered 4 meals for a total of $65. At the cost of about $16 per meal, I'd say that's pretty reasonable pricing. I was able to pay quickly and walk out of the door to enjoy my food.

Yelp
Choose kindness and compassion at Chef Kenny's! I'm proud to admit I journeyed all the way from California just to try this amazing all vegan dim sum restaurant. The interior was clean and staff was friendly and helpful, but i decided to get my order to go so I could eat it in my hotel bed for the ultimate cozy experience (highly recommend). I was able to enjoy dim sum classics I haven't had in years like ham sui gok and char siu bao. Everything I tried was remarkably similar in taste and texture to the animal versions. Obviously, I prefer Chef Kenny's though :) I also tried some fun spins on classic dishes like the peanut dumplings and saucy deep fried eggplant. I also got a beef dish with peanuts that was super chewy and meaty. Entrees all come with rice. They are a little salty without the fluffy jasmine rice to balance out each bite, but overall, so lovely. All of my friends love this place and I can totally see why. Can't wait to be back soon to try out more of the menu!

Yelp
Excellent service and attention from staff. They have wide selection of vegan food (sushi rolls, dim sum, stir fry, noodles etc.). Everything we had was tasty and fresh. Some items here I have not seen anywhere else (beef roll sushi). Highly recommend. Easy and free parking lot.

Yelp
Folks love this place - but the heavy emphasis on gluten-type "meats" along with fried dishes and oily sauces turned me off. It's a reminder that "vegan" doesn't always mean "healthy". Maybe the sushi would have been better. Service was fine, but The inside felt like it could use really good deep-clean as well.

Yelp
A very cute vegan restaurant located around Las Vegas's Chinatown. The ambiance is very warm and welcoming with lots of photo ops, and there's free WiFi! The menu holds a wide variety of food and options for everyone. Honestly, it's my first time seeing a vegan restaurant that includes dim sum, sushi, and Malaysian cuisine! The BBQ Steamed Bun was light and fluffy. You can't even tell the inside is not actually pork! The roti Canai and curry Laska are very flavorful and meet my Malaysian standards. Who knew Vegan food can be delicious too? Then, we tried the tuna and steak sushi rolls which are great vegan options when you're craving sushi. However, I do prefer the tuna roll over the steak roll. The chow hor fun is good and tastes just like a regular one you would find at a Canton restaurant. The dumplings are amazing! I had the lantern dumpling filled with mushrooms and a soupy dumpling and both were very delicious! The skin was made to perfection. The custard tarts are well made with the fact that it contains no eggs and regular milk. Although, I still prefer actual egg tarts. All in all, it was a great experience if you're feeling a bit adventurous and want to try vegan food or if you are eating with some vegan friends. Will definitely come back! I'm glad I got to meet Chef Kenny as well. He is very knowledgeable and skillful in the art of cooking vegan food!

Yelp
*I am not Vegan nor Vegetarian Vegan Siu Mai- ok Walnut Shrimp- p good, maybe too much mayo but overall flavor and crunch was great Vegan roll- also okay Steam BBQ Pork bun- bun was light and fluffy, bbq was okay Overall okay food, but for a vegan/vegetarian, there are so so many options that are hard to find. For that reason, I'd say this is worth going to! The service was great, the waiters were all friendly and had gentle energy, and there's a certain kind of peace in these types of meat-free environments. As a meat eater, this can't compare... but if you don't eat meat, this is excellent.

I can't say enough good things about chef Kenny's food. We got so many things, pork buns, chow mein, fried chicken, rice, miso soup. Everything was perfect time to go walk the strip because I ate so much definitely come to chef Kenny's vegan kitchen.! the ambience is very authentic outdoor indoor feel!

Yelp
Wow first impression is WOW I am genuinely shocked at how much I enjoyed this good wasn't bad at all . The texture of the Chinese chicken was good and flavorful , the shrimp dumpling was bland but not bad for vegan , the house fried rice I was nervous lol looked like meat so much , the sushi rolls were really filling . Bottom line is for my first time trying a vegan Chinese restaurant it was good The waitress was so nice and kind service was fast we didn't even wait more than 15 min after ordering to get our food and the I side is really nice, clean and spacious good for first dates and a group of people

Yelp
I remember really liking Chef Kenny's previous restaurant so when I return to Las Vegas I was toked to try his vegan dim sum. Not a lot of places make vegan dim sum and besides the dim sum as being uniquely vegan, it honestly was disappointing. I'm still eating it 3.5- 4 stars because they had efficient, overall friendly service, and the ambiance was cute. It got busy really fast and I think it's good for the area overall. I was disappointed because the dishes seemed to lack the finesse I was expecting of dim sum I've expected. The har gow dough was so thick and doughy, shrimp (hard to make a paste with vegan konjac shrimp I get it...) dry and particulate. Dumpling dough was also so thick. My favorite was the chive pancake which was hot and fresh. The dim sum came out pretty quickly which makes me think they were pre-steamed and almost room temp besides the chive cake. I really wanted to love it but it was just passable. Maybe the other extensive vegan options in the menu are better which we didn't try this time. However even the tofu in the hot and sour soup seemed sloppy but the flavor was there at least.

Yelp
Guaranteed I've spent thousands here! The service, waitresses especially, are so sweet. The food is made with care and compassion: Of course being vegan but also the welcoming energy of the kitchen and dining space. Will continue bringing all people of walks of life here especially those just getting into veganism as it really opens up the heart to what so much of the lifestyle embodies. Bring your family and friends, they will love it. Plenty of parking with a date tree in the lot too. As many other places have closed over the years and being a vegan over 7yrs now myself, it is an absolute joy to have Chef Kenny's and support this beautiful restaurant. Take out has always been very easy and received correct items. In person, they have a gluten free specific menu if you ask and they are very knowledgeable about allergies/ingredients so ask! The peace of mind you have eating at a fully vegan restaurant on top of the flavor itself is worth it! My favorite(s) is the Mushroom Soup, Walnut Shrimp, and either the Crunch Roll or Jackfruit Roll. You can make a lot gluten free by asking for no "eel" sauce. Just watch their hours to make sure you have enough time to enjoy the whole experience. I rarely visit Vegas without going here and will continue to bring everyone I can here: What we eat makes a difference and taste is never worth taking a life, show people the way! Gracias por todo Chef Kenny's!!!

Yelp
You cannot go wrong with Chef Kenny's. One of the things that sets it apart, beyond the food, is the service. Every person working there seems to take an interest in you have a good experience: both service wise and food wise. The decor is very reminiscent of Chef Kenny's other location, and sets the mood. I was happy to learn there were dim sum options that were gluten free....three of them! The menu is extensive, with it spamming multiple menus: the main menu, a sushi menu, and a separate gluten free menu. I asked for recommendations between a couple items on the main menu and was directed to the vegan shrimp vegetables dish. I'm a sucker for vegan shrimp, so how could I resist? It did not disappoint. This was our first visit to this Vegas Chef Kenny's location, but it will not be our last.
