The 15 Best Filipino Restaurants In SF - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"The Sizzling Sisig sautéed in a citrusy “special sauce” and topped with a barely fried egg is why you’re at this Daly City restaurant. It pairs best with a quartet of the cigar-sized lumpiang shanghai. And whatever you do, save room for dessert: the crunchy silvanas with a creamy center come from House of Silvanas just a couple of doors down—swing by after you’re done to find more flavors. Our favorite is the buko-pandan." - gabi moskowitz, julia chen 1, patrick wong

The 17 Best Restaurants In Daly City - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"One of the best parts of Daly City is its vast array of Filipino restaurants, and the excellent renditions of the classics at Chibog, a low-key, comfortable place, adorned with posters of ’80s movies and old boxing matches, stand out in the crowd. The sizzling sisig is the must-order dish—crispy, citrusy, and packed with flavor—but the lumpiang Shanghai (fried pork spring rolls) deserve just as much attention. And save room for dessert, because the colorful silvanas (a Filipino cashew-based macaron-buttercream cookie sandwich), sourced from House of Silvanas two doors down, are unmatched." - gabi moskowitz, patrick wong

The 8 Best Filipino Restaurants in Daly City, South San Francisco, and Colma | Eater SF

"This casual local favorite serves some good Filipino comfort food like lechon kawali (fried pork belly), bangus (milkfish), sisig (a sizzling meat dish), and pancit (stir-fried rice noodles). The menu is full of classic dishes done reliably well, including a great version of short rib sinigang, a savory and sour soup flavored with tamarind — a wonderful dish to share on a cold day." - Elaine Wu

Google
Really good filipino food in the peninsula. We dined in Saturday morning right at opening. We ordered had their garlic fried rice, palabok, Lechon Kawali, Tucino, bangus sisig, calamansi juice, and ube shake. All of it was delicious. I recommend getting the palabok as it was full of flavor and something I would definitely get again. Staff is super friendly and attentive. As for parking, the lot is shard amongst other businesses in the area. While we got there at opening, maybe half an hour in, a wait started to form at the door, but I can see why :) I would come back here again if I am in the area.

Everything we ordered was delicious. They served our food quickly. They did rush us out even though they have customers waiting to be seated.

Located in a.strip mall, behind a car dealer. This place has lots of free parking. Limited indoor seating with no outdoor seating. Staff are friendly and helpful. Bistek was delcious. 2nd visit: I tried their beef tapa silog, and it was good. Service was quick as always. Staff is helpful as always.

Hands down best Filipino food I’ve had in a while! Sorry I usually take better pics but too busy eating

Google
My family frequents this restaurant because of their chicharon bulaklak!! It was the girst thing ordered before we sat down and another order before we left!! So good!! Service is patient and respectful and kind. The food is always amazing. My mom and Tita especially liked the tocino because it wasn't hard. I favored the porkchop inihaw. Lechon kawali is always on our table too!! We love to eat and Chibog makes all of our family favorites so accessible without having to cook them ourselves. The Filipino food is always on point here!! We spent over 150 dollars because we like to have options eating together. Otherwise it's a very affordable place for any silogs-- all under 17 dollars!!

Google
The place doesn't look like much, don't let that deceive you. The food is delicious. The kare kare is wonderfully creamy, the savory oxtail blends with the peanut sauce perfectly. The taro leaves are like a Filipino version of collard greens, but better. I stuffed myself silly with garlic rice, don't bother getting them in "cups", just order the big bowl and bring the extra home. The calamansi drink was a nice surprise, very different from the canned version and the frozen juice. I guess fresh calamansi is different, it has hints of orange and hints of tangerine... really hard to describe, you have to at least order on and try. I severely overate and stuffed myself silly. Recommend taking extra care to avoid potholes on 280 when heading home. 😉

This is my first time here and I typically don’t eat pancit. The noodles were nice but I wish the chicken was more hearty. I added shrimp but they were minuscule… not a fan of mini shrimp. Overall flavor of the pancit was good. Ordered fried lumpia and it was fair. Friendly and quick service.

We always enjoy trying different Filipino restaurants to cater small gatherings at home, so we were excited to place our first order from Chibog. We ordered a party tray of Palabok for around $90 (half-tray size), expecting a more authentic or elevated flavor experience compared to the usual franchise-style Filipino chains. Unfortunately, the dish was very disappointing. Our guests immediately noted that the Palabok tasted “off”. It lacked any of the traditional shrimp flavor and had no seasoning or flavor at all. No detectable flavors of shrimp or pork. Worse, after sitting out for only a couple of hours, it started to smell spoiled. We ended up having to throw out more than half of the tray. It was the only Filipino noodle dish we served at the gathering, so this was a huge letdown. Thankfully, we had rice to make up for it. Sadly, we won’t be ordering from Chibog again based on this experience.

Yelp
Hands down my favorite Filipino restaurant in the area! I've ordered from here several times and it never disappoints. Recently, my family ordered food for a family gathering - we got kare kare, bulalo, crispy pata, pancit bihon, bangus sisig, and pork sisig. Everything was SO good and I kept getting asked where the food was from! I will definitely be back! Thanks Chibog :)

Yelp
When we're in the SF area, we try to pitstop here. But, we've also made the trek to just eat or pick up party trays. We've introduced this place to many friends and they too, make the trek when possible. Our experience here has always been great. The food is piping hot when it arrives to our table and it's just darn tasty! Staff is friendly and attentive. We did have a delay with one of our dishes, chicken tocino. They apologized it took so long so they removed it from our bill. That was nice of them to do. The portions are generous so we have leftovers for dinner. I heard they were going to close because Mercedes is expanding. I asked our waiter if this was true. Good news! They are here to stay! They'll be renewing their contract for another 5 years. WHEW! Parking was a little tough since the church group in one of the suites was having an event.

Yelp
The food was tasty but had way too many onions that I recooked because they were not fully cooked and the amount of of meat (sisig) was minimal. I was very disappointed! I have never received such a small amount of food for $24. Dear Chinog reduces the amount of onions you add to the sisig and add 1/4 th more meat. Thanks

Yelp
Service was ok. The place wasn't as clean as I would have liked, but the food was generally good. A few things stood out. The lumpiang Shanghai were quite good. One of the best i have had locally, with a crunch on the outside and very moist on the inside. The sinigang was very tasty. The lechon kawali was good. The skin was crispy and the meat was moist. The only real let down was the sisig. Sisig should be the whole pig's head chopped up fine and fried crispy, served with a squeeze of lemon and an egg cracked right on the whole with a sizzling plate. In this case I could only see what looked like the lechon kawali just chopped up finely, which isn't the sisig that i understand is the original and typical. It was good, but wasn't the expectation i had.

Yelp
Wooww their tapa is sooo good!! It had so much flavor and paired perfectly with the garlic rice and egg. I also really appreciated how fast and attentive the server was. They made sure we had all the sauces, water and everything we needed and they were super polite too. The inside was pretty spacious and clean. And there were plenty of parking spaces around the restaurant.

Yelp
The food is a little different, the karekare should be a little creamier ., maybe more peanuts in the sauce. The bagoong was extra .,The Crispy Beef Tadyang was delicious crispy outside and tender inside. The Garlic Rice was tasty. The portions are generous. The place is older now so its a little dated. The server was informative and helpful. A lot of the places around has closed even Kamameshi will become a Korean Place

Yelp
Classic and yummy Filipino food! Great silog options. Their tofu sisig is really good! Popular place so you may have to wait a little bit to be seated, but definitely worth it!

Yelp
Authentic Filipino food with generous portions. We ordered the sizzling sisig (combo) and kawali lechon with garlic rice. The lechon kawali had the right balance of crispy skin, tender meat, and just enough fat to keep it flavorful. The sisig was packed with flavor, with a strong vinegar taste that might not be for everyone but is great if you enjoy that classic tangy kick.

Yelp
Filipino cuisine [Daly City CA] We decided to dine here while we were in the area. It wasn't too busy on a Saturday evening at peak meal time and we were seated right away. The restaurant is small and cozy. Hubby was hankering for some soup dish which is perfect comfort food especially on a rainy day. We ordered the Beef Bulalo (menu description: tender beef bone-in shanks with assorted veggies). We ordered garlic rice with it. The soup came in a huge bowl and looked appetizing. The sad part... the meat was not nearly "tender" and the bone had hardly any bone marrow in it. The veggies was baby bokchoy which was not a generous amount in the soup. The soup was tasty though and good with the rice. We ordered halo-halo with my choice of Mango ice-cream on top (not Ube) and that was delicious! Customer service was great... love the Filipino hospitality. "Chibog" in Tagalog means "eating time." One gender neutral bathroom and they need to check it often and clean it. Review #3636

Yelp
I was pretty disappointed with my last visit to this place. To sum it up, it's service without a smile, and that's to put it kindly. As for the food, it really is just middle of the pack. I've had quite better tasting Filipino food around the South Bay and Easy Bay. I visited Chibog because of its feature on KQED. I was really hoping that Chibog was one of those hole in the wall hidden gems I would enjoy exploring, but I'm quite disappointed. We had the Lechon Kewali, Dinuguan, BBQ Chicken (ala carte), and the Halo Halo w/ Ube Ice Cream. Lechon Kewali was okay, but the rest felt like they missed the mark. The Lechon Kewali was comparable to other places I've visited. The Dinuguan just wasn't "rich", nor was it "chunky" with the good meaty, fatty, rich parts. It felt lacking and with too much vinegar. The BBQ Chicken was completely disappointing because of the amount of burnt-ness on the chicken, making large portions of it uneatable. This was very disappointing. The Halo Halo felt fine. It wasn't special. Small location with a small private lot for parking shared with other establishments. Chibog gets good traffic, so it gets busy--good for them. But there are other places that serve better tasting Filipino food at more affordable prices, but you may have to come to the South Bay (Pinot BBQ ATBP) or East Bay (Toppings Too) for them. I know we didn't try the Sisig, but nothing about Chibog would make us want to return even if we were in the area again.

Yelp
When it comes to Filipino food, chibog is my go-to spot. When I have friends who've never had Filipino food, this is where I go. It's solid, tasty, and big portions. Chibog has my favorite pork sisig, it's a good mix of crispy and soft pieces. The crispy short ribs, unmatched, especially with the soy sauce/vinegar sauce, chefs kiss. On my latest visit I stopped in for a quick lunch. I got the lechon kawali silog. It came with a generous serving of deep fried pork belly, hefty mound of garlic rice, and two over easy eggs. For $22 after tax and tip, it's well worth every penny. The staff here is so nice, and treats you like family. It's a smaller restaurant so there can be a wait, but during lunch time it's usually easy to snag a table. Long story short, if you are craving Filipino food, this is a spot worth checking out
google avatar

Dan B.

Yelp
A very established Filipino spot that always satisfies when I'm hankering for a teslogs, or noodles, maybe a pork dish, definitely a bbq stick or two, etc, etc, etc. Service is prompt and friendly and helpful. I overheard our waiter help the table behind me with what dishes on the menu were good introductions to the cuisine. And as for the ambiance, much like the food, it's no nonsense comfort and cozy.

Yelp
Came here on a Wednesday evening for an early dinner; had to be early since they close at 6pm. Place is clean and spacious, nothing fancy. Service is quick and decent. Portions are large. I don't know if it was authentic or not but everything was quite yummy. The fried pork belly was crisp, juicy and meaty. The garlic rice was flaky and had just the perfect amount of garlic and seasoning. It was so good and one could eat it with nothing else and still be happy. The green beans with kalabasa had a creamy coconut sauce that was delicious. The sizzling sisig was fried perfectly. We enjoyed everything. We will be back and do recommend.

Yelp
Wow oh wow. The best Filipino food we've ever had all at one place. We're from San Diego and sure, we've tasted good Filipino food but never all of our favorite dishes from one place. -Pancit palabok -Oxtail Kare kare -Sinigang - bangus belly -Sizzling sisig -Garlic Rice I am usually not a fan of kare kare. It's either too peanuty or too thick/runny. It's just perfect consistency and taste great here. The sisig is also crispy and not too salty. The sinigang had so much fish. Everything was delicious and food came out fast.
google avatar

Kristelle B.

Yelp
I ordered their lechon kawali with garlic rice off a delivery app and it was so good. Hefty serving for the price point, the pork is crispy yet still soft in the middle. The serving alone is good enough for two people.
google avatar

Annabelle R.

Yelp
Ordered the bistek silog and pork bbq a la carte this past Friday around dinner time. Was quoted a 20 minute wait for takeout, but it was ready in just 10 minutes. These dishes had decent portion sizes, good for 2-3 meals. Lots of flavor too, the bistek a tad salty and could have used a little more onions, but it was still quite tasty, and the pork bbq somewhat sweet and smoky, with tender meat, which I enjoyed. The restaurant interior was simple, nothing particularly inviting about it, but offering a good amount of tables and seating for a casual dine-in experience. Also, friendly service and ample parking out front.

Yelp
Oh man, I was craving Filipino food and was meeting a friend over the bridge so decided to check out Chibog located in Daly City. I am Filipino so every time I go to a restaurant like this, I'm going to be critical. Upon walking in, you are hit with the aroma of Filipino food and there were so many people in the restaurant. This is always a good sign but wow it was so hot. So this is a rare occurrence in Daly City as it is mostly foggy and cool weather. Well, we happened to go during a heatwave so that's on us. Granted, the restaurant did have a huge fan going and left the doors open so that made it a bit tolerable. I was mostly craving silog which is a dish of meat, rice and egg. We ended up ordering Bangsilog (fried fish), Tosilog (sweet grilled pork) and Lechon. It did not disappoint. I definitely got my fix and I would give everything a 4/5. The Lechon was good but the skin wasn't that crispy which I was a bit disappointed in. Service was excellent as Tito (uncle in Tagalog) kept coming around with a big smile asking if we needed anything else or would fill up our waters. I am kicking myself for not ordering halo halo when he recommended it. It would have been a nice cool treat but we were so full after our yummy meal! Definitely will be back to try the sisig and halo-halo.

Yelp
This place is always filled with people no matter what time of day I go. Most recently, I ordered to-go on a Sunday evening. After 40 minutes, I was able to pick up in my order in the packed restaurant with seating for around 30. The setting of the restaurant allows for the focus to be on family and friends; there are no major decorations or fancy seating. I ordered the Fried Lumpia and Pork BBQ Silog this time. Trying the Fried Lumpia for the first time, I enjoyed the crispiness and texture of the lumpia. The silogs are always so flavorful, and I am unable to finish one in one sitting (possibly due to its grease, but delicious nonetheless). It's hard to find good Filipino food in San Francisco. When I have the craving, I have to make my way to Chibog in Daly City to satisfy it, and it truly satifies my craving every time.
google avatar

April L.

Yelp
The portions are pretty big here which reflects the higher pricing for similar Filipino food so it's recommended that you come with a larger party or with family. I got the beef sinigang as takeout and it came in two tall soup takeout containers. It was just OK to me. It definitely was very sour but I wished there was more meat compared to the stewed vegetable ratio. Also the beef was not as tender as we would like and it was quite chewy. If you have a stomach that gets unsettled easily, I would not recommend sinigang. We also got vegetable lumpia and it came with only four for about $11.25 so a little more expensive per lumpia than I am used to seeing. It was quite oily. Service was quick and there are a lot of seating options available if you wanted to stay and eat at the establishment.

Yelp
Hidden gem in Daly City for some authentic Filipino food It is tucked away behind the Benz dealership, so keep an eye out on the turn into the plaza! We ordered the following to share family style: -combo (pork and chicken) sizzling sisig - got a whole mound of meat and it sure came out sizzling -kare kare with extra veggies and bagoong on the side - note the bagoong is an extra charge, along with extra veggies. The oxtail was very tender and the peanut sauce wasn't overly peanut-y -bam-I- combination of vermicelli and canton noodles -garlic rice bowl - the garlic was very subtle, so it's good if you don't like strong garlic flavors -Laing - taro leaves cooked in coconut milk; I was told this was on of the few restaurants that served this so I had to try it. The taste wasn't what I was expecting, and it had a very earthy taste. I'm glad I tried it, but it wasn't my cup of tea. It is a small restaurant with plenty of seating. My friends and I went on a Wednesday during lunch and we were the first to be seated. There is plenty of parking in the plaza, so don't need to worry about that
google avatar

Erica B.

Yelp
They advertise their Silogs come with 2 eggs. We ordered two different silogs and they only came with one egg. The lechon kawali seems like they just reheated or microwaved it. There was no crunch from the lechon, it was soggy. My husband and daughter went to pick up our order and they both said the workers were rude and not welcoming.
google avatar

J B.

Yelp
Chibog is a no thrills Ambiance which meant they were all about the food. Filipino restaurant Mecca in my opinion lol I had Longanisa Silog Plate with garlic rice. The sauge was just the right balance of sweet and savory and the garlic rice was a hole in one paired with it . The Lumpia Shangha which was Like a taquito filled with pork Goodness crispy and flavorful. The Sizzling Sisig which Was chopped tender pork with onions, bell peppers and jalapenos and various spices. It was delicious dish they didn't miss. The service was fast and responsive & the portions were massive and the prices were on point. I would definitely want to visit there again
google avatar

Yelp
Came here on Sunday at 12:30pm and there was a 20- ish mins wait for my party of 4. Parking was pretty full but people came and go so it wasn't bad. Chibog is a small family run cafe and it's not the place if you're looking for nice ambiance.. ventilation was lacking but food was wonderful ! We Love the pork sizzling sisig-- it's a MUST if you dine here. We ordered both garlic rice and white rice to eat with it. It's super flavorful, savory and tangy. I could eat so much of it with rice BBQ chicken a la Carte: just like what it is-- bbq chicken! It's not a healthy option per se as the chicken breast was pretty charred. It's little too sweet to my liking. Pinakbet--- another dish I highly recommend. It's a dish made with shrimp paste and veggies like bitter melon, squash and beans. You do need some veggies after all with all these meats option on the menu right ? I'll definitely come back to try their other dishes. The server was knowledgeable and owner friendly. Good job Chibog!
google avatar

Mary Frances C.

Yelp
I absolutely loved their pork-chicken combo sizzling sisig, lumpia shanghai, and halo-halo topped with ube ice cream! My friend recommended this spot when I mentioned I was craving Filipino food (there's no Filipino restaurant in my area). The crew are also very accommodating and the place is very clean too. I love the music that they play, reminds me so much of my time in the Philippines. I'm so glad I stopped by before my flight back to Oklahoma.
google avatar

Alice N.

Yelp
1000000/5 stars. My friend and I got the pancit palabok and beef sinigang and we cleaned ts up in 30 mins. Truly the best sinigang we've ever had. Also their portions are generous which is always much appreciated. Highly recommend and will be comin back. God bless
google avatar

Anriella D.

Yelp
The place is small and has no ventilation. Sometimes the place can be stuffy and clothes end up smelling like food once coming out. Their sisig is my favorite and coming back from out of state this is the first thing i crave. The staff has always been welcoming and very friendly.

Yelp
Our go-to for Filipino food in the Bay Area. We drive out from SF for their barbecued chicken. Our order, perfected over time, is: Lumpiang Shanghai, Pancit Bihon, Garlic Rice, and Chicken bbq. It's so much food for two people that we typically eat it once for lunch at the restaurant and again for dinner at home. It's a very casual, family-friendly vibe that's kid friendly. As others have said, go at off-peak hours. You'll still have to wait ten minutes, but it's worth it. Service is fast and friendly.
google avatar

Chantilly G.

Yelp
It's unfortunate that I live all the way in the North Bay because if this place was closer I'd eat here all the time. The first time we visited it was just me and my husband and we enjoyed everything we ordered and the portions were huge so we had lots of leftover to enjoy eating at home. Then last month we came here with our daughter and we all loved our dishes. The portions and taste are always consistent. And our dishes came out quick. The place is fairly small and it's always so busy which is a great sign and a good thing. But, both times we didn't have to wait to be seated. If ever you are in Daly City, I highly recommend trying this awesome and authentic Filipino restaurant. If we are in the area we will definitely come back.
google avatar

Arlo T.

Yelp
Chibog is a staple and it's hard to choose where to eat Filipino food in Daly City. You have hella good options everywhere. I haven't been here since I was a kid and it was welcomed. I don't usually crave Filipino food, but most of us decided to come here after filming. We were greeted pretty quick and were given waters right away. It's a no frills restaurant, Just tables and service. There was no wait time and we ordered right away. The food was good, I have no complaints. Prices are higher, but it's normal because of inflation. It was a good experience and I would come here again with a big group. It was good!

Yelp
SOLID FILIPINO FOOD Honest review from a Pinay (Filipina)-- Chibog is probably our favorite and the best Filipino restaurant in this area. Pricing is decent and the food is delicious! They offer a lot of classics and favorites in Filipino Cuisine and do it well. Bangus sisig, Laing, pork sisig, lechon kawali and miki bihon are our faves/ go-to order. Garlic rice is a must. The place is small, so there can be a wait during busy hours/days, but food comes out fast and they turn tables pretty quickly. Haven't had a bad experience yet.
google avatar

Joel M.

Yelp
This is a hidden Family style Filipino food spot. The sinigang was perfect but make sure you order the Tofu Sisig!
google avatar

KC B.

Yelp
Food is delicious! My fave dish and a must-try is the Bangus Sigig (sizzling milkfish). Always my I also enjoyed the Shanghai Lumpia (only comes as 20 pieces), & the Lechon Kawali. Pretty busy restaurant but not too long of a wait if youre on the wait list. Service is so-so. Just a heads They automatically charge tips in your bill too just fyi lol
google avatar

Steven C.

Yelp
Amazing food and great service! The lechon and garlic rice are amazing. We also had a nice veggie dish! Heads up: first time we ate here, we arrived at 3/4ish and were seated immediately. More recently we arrived around 1:30pm on a Saturday and waited over an hour. This place is really popular so come earlier, or around 3/4pm when the line is shorter :)

Yelp
Chibog has pretty good Filipino food for take-out. I am not as adventurous with pork ears and livers, so I usually get lechon (fried pork rinds), chicken tocino (chicken marinated in a tart ketchup-like sauce), longanisa (pork sausage), and of course, garlic rice. The meats are flavorful and the garlic rice is comforting. The lumpias (Filipino egg rolls) are crispy, but the filling is kind of bland (1 star off). The portions are large. If you get a silog (breakfast version) rather than an a la carte entree, the meat is much less, but you get two eggs and one very large scoop of garlic rice. I have dined in, but find the ambiance not the best. The restaurant does not have good air circulation. It was a hot day, and even with the fan going, it was still stuffy and hot. Many folks do take-out from here, and I think I will stick with that too.

Yelp
A delicious unassuming Filipino spot in Daly City. We ordered the Sizzling Sisig, Chicken Adobo, Pancit Bihon, and Pork Tocino Plate. Most memorable dish for me would have to be the Sizzling Sisig. It comes out on a hot sizzling plate with a beautiful fried egg on top. The pork had the perfectly balanced savory and tart oomph in flavor, so delicious! Chicken adobo had amazing sauce and the pancit bihon had great savory flavors too. The pork tocino plate might have been slightly too fatty, but perhaps it was just the one cut of meat that I got that day, flavors were still good though! Service was relatively quick; the restaurant was busy preparing takeout orders as well as it seems to be a popular takeout spot. I wish this place stayed open longer instead of closing at 6/7pm! Would absolutely recommend this place to others.

Yelp
The best Filipino restaurant in the Bay Area. Truly every dish is incredible, and my absolute favorite is their Kare Kare which in which they mastered the balance of being flavorful enough but not too peanut butter heavy. Staff is always so friendly and kind. It's always pretty busy on the weekends so plan to come on the earlier side so you don't have to wait. A must whenever my family comes in town!

Yelp
sizzling pork sisig wasn't really sizzling but it was still good. bbq chicken had a nice smokiness. pancit palabok was kinda bland but maybe I'm just used to the strong flavor in shrimp paste. fried lumpia were just ok and we got baited to get the garlic rice bowl which was monstrous but leftovers

Yelp
I mean..... daly city + filipino food = this place Located at a strip mall above the mercedes dealership, off gellert Plenty spaces in their parking lot Restaurant itself is on the smaller side, one way in and one way out. Dining area can seem spacious but not really.... about 8 mix and match tables. When u walk in, its dining space of tables and towards the back is a long counter with a register ....looks like a takeout kitchen. ....to be honest, this is NOT an inviting type of restaurant. If its packed, you gotta write your name and party number down on their notepad at the front table by the door. Note: When we got here before 1p on a tuesday it was 'busy' so we waited like 25 min for a seat. (Its because when peepss come to eat out, they like to take their time to eat and chill ...and if its a big party, they got no sence of urgency at all) When we sat we were ready to order ...went with their PORK SISIG, KARE KARE and TOFU SISIG, and WHITE RICE. we wanted to put the egg on the tofu and not on the pork and guess what..we was told that they can NOT do egg on the tofu, only the pork? Ummmm.....ok *****here is the kicckurrr tho...... they brought this meal out super fast. Hooked up a big bowl of rice for us to share. That tofu sisig came out awesomely noisy in its sizzling pan. The kare kare was beautifully displayed in a pot of peanut sauce....and when the pirk sisig came out, same song and dance with that nice smell of grease and flavors lol. The food taste was impressive. Very tasty, not too rich...not salty. Just really tasty and we enjoyed all of it. And they hooked up the alamang paste, too! Overall, i was primed to leave this joint a 3 star on the initial walk in and wait, but then the food came out and my thoughts changed. I will probably neer post a 5 star for any filipino restaurant because alot of things have to work right for that to happen ...but on food alone, this place is an honest 4 STAR spot. I recommend all yall give em a try so you can taaaste, what this place, iiss coookinnnn!

Yelp
I'm Filipino and have never tried the food here in Daly City yet so I couldn't wait to come and dine. Now, I know cooks are different and some cook different than others, etc etc, I get it. BUT, my first time dining here was just an ok experience. I will say, there were lots of people dining in and during my research, Chibog was one of the main staples and popular spots in the Daly City area. I finally came with my wife last weekend and we ordered a variety of things: Fried rice, Pork sinigang, and pork sisig. Their sinigang and sisig were both super salty. The sisig was basically shredded pork like carnitas and not like the original diced cubed pork. The sinigang had a balance of soup, veggies and pork which was great. The sisig had lots of pork but I wish there was mayo and that nice sizzling crispy pork instead of the shredded type. The food was tasty and did have lots of flavor but it was just over bearing with the salt. Honestly, I would definitely come back again because yes, the food was actually good. The prices were good and the portions were perfect. I just hope they monitor the sodium levels.

Yelp
Our go to spot for filipino food! My favorites are their bangus sisig, pork sisig, Kare Kare, chicken inasal, lumpiang Shanghai, calamares, laong, and of course garlic rice! The staff is always friendly and accommodating. They get pretty busy so come early. You can pop by House of Silvanas next door while you wait. Also another gem of the Bay Area.

Yelp
Whenever we're in Daly City, chibog always comes up as an option for lunch. It comes up because it's consistently good eats. If ever a wait for lunch on a weekend, it's not for very long. Service is fine and quick typically. Ambiance is chill. I love the location outside bc you can oversee some of lower Westborough.

Yelp
Alright alright... Chibog has been named my favorite Filipino restaurant. Today I waited about 15 minutes around 1:15pm, but might be worth mentioning that it's the Veterans Day observance holiday. The staff is friendly like your typical titas and titos. There's a lot of natural light that comes through the windows and the space is pretty open. I like (a lot) that they don't over crowd the place with tables. They're a small operation and it's part of their charm. After having the pancit (and loving it) during my first visit, I ordered a tray for my daughter's graduation party. It was a hit. So many people said they liked it and was asking where I got it from. I came with my brother to celebrate his favorite veteran (me lol), and we ordered a damn feast. Yes we over ordered, but I know the leftovers will be good and I'm looking forward to eating them! There was no room to complain about ANYTHING. Everything was so delicious!!!!! Kare kare- lots of meat and veggies. The sauce was thick and saucy. Sinigang (beef ribs)- the meat was so tender, again lots of meat and vegetables, sour and good tamarind flavor, the broth was piping hot. Sisig- the best. My favorite dish...and it was hella hard to choose a favorite. Tocino and lechon kawali were good as well. The portions are hefty and worth every penny. Next time I'll try the laing and halo halo if I don't get too full again lol.

Yelp
Authentic Filipino food that my Filipino bf says tastes like his family's cooking! We tried the dinuguan and pork Sisig, which were good but not amazing. Sisig definitely would have been less dry, and the egg yolk was not enough to coat the dish. Both dishes were salty, but did flavors were one dimensional. I'm giving it 3 stars because the costs are steeper than we expected, at around $20 a dish.

Yelp
Was craving some good filipino food to remind me of old home cooked meals from my mother and decided to check this spot out with my big sister. She actually recommended the spot, and I was more than down. I got the BBQ Pork Silog and my big sister got an avocado milkshake (not pictured). I haven't had BBQ pork this juicy in forever. Definitely would recommend to any Filipino food lovers or people who want something that is guaranteed to be tasty!

Yelp
I recently ordered to go: Pork sisig to go here is better then other restaurant's dine in still sizzling. Garlic fried rice is top notch. In the past: I ate at the restaurant. I had the pork sinigang, delicious & sour. Squid adobo, perfectly cooked and tasty. Bistek with the onions still crunchy, not soggy and soft! The staff is friendly, the tables are clean, it's the best Filipino Restaurant in Daly City for sure. I definitely always come back. I definitely recommend!

Yelp
We had the lechon, sisig (chicken + pork), pork tocino, and the chicken adobo. Total bill was $66 before tip. The food was excellent. In particular, the lechon was super tender. It doesn't look that juicy, it actually might look a bit dry in some pics, but it really is really tender, not dry at all. The tocino had slight char bits which had a great flavor. The sisig was a tad on the salty side, but was perfect once the rice arrived. The garlic rice is really good too, not dry. The service was good too. You write your name on a pad of paper and they call you. There were 4 parties ahead of us, and it took about 15 minutes for us to get seated. They refilled our water, was efficient, food only took 5-10 minutes to arrive. Big parking lot. We went on Sunday 1pm, the place was full but service is fast so table turnover was good.

Yelp
Chibog has been a family favorite for years! For being a smaller restaurant they always do an amazing job at squeezing our group of 10 comfortably inside. We tend to order a large variety from the menu and honestly we haven't found a single dish we dislike yet. The staff is also really good about cooking quickly and getting the food out to us so everything is piping hot for the entire table! My only downside to this place is the parking situation. Definitely carpool if you're a larger group, this parking lot is shared with a few other businesses in the same plaza so it can be a struggle to find parking.
