"Specializing in Asian-inspired comfort foods, Chik’n & Mi is owned by husband-and-wife team Jason and Aenith McCollum. The couple serves dishes like wood ear mushroom egg rolls, kimchi mac and cheese, tofu lettuce wraps, and chicken noodle soup ramen, but the real must-try dish is the fried chicken sandwich: a fried thigh on a brioche bun with kimchi slaw, black garlic aioli, and pickled cucumbers. The bar also boasts an extensive selection of sake, craft beer, and cocktails featuring local ingredients and house infusions." - Lennie Omalza

Some of the best ramen I’ve ever had. I ordered the vegetarian coconut ramen, highly recommend! The drinks were great too. We couldn’t decide on which appetizers to get because they all sounded so amazing.

**Brunch Review: Chik’n & Mi – Louisville, KY** If you’re brunch-hopping in Louisville, **Chik’n & Mi** needs to be on your list. Known for its creative spin on Asian comfort food, their brunch menu is packed with bold flavors and hangover cures disguised as elevated comfort food. Let’s start with the **espresso martini**—a surprisingly refined cocktail for a casual spot. It’s rich, smooth, and perfectly chilled with just the right amount of caffeine to reset your morning (or keep the weekend rolling). The **Chik’n Benedict** (\$17) is a knockout. Toasted biscuits are topped with crispy chicken nuggets, thick-cut bacon, two perfectly cooked eggs, and a generous pour of their signature JB hollandaise. The mixed herbs add a touch of freshness to an otherwise gloriously indulgent dish. It’s the kind of Benedict that laughs in the face of tradition and tastes better for it. **The Cure** (\$17) is exactly what the name suggests: a no-nonsense plate of Southern revival. Fluffy biscuits are smothered in pepper gravy, then piled high with bacon, sausage patties, two eggs, more JB hollandaise, and those same mixed herbs. It’s hearty, salty, and comforting in all the right ways. The only misstep? The **oysters.** They arrived looking the part but lacked the bright, briny punch you'd expect. Not bad—just forgettable in contrast to the rest of the menu. Bottom line: **Chik’n & Mi nails the brunch game.** Skip the oysters and dive headfirst into their biscuit-forward, flavor-packed dishes. And definitely don’t skip the espresso martini—you’ll regret it.

The ramen have a lot of cilantro for me!! But everything was good! Not bad just I really prefer the maruchan instant 😅 the eggs rolls was the best!

Google
Wow what a beautiful day to sit on their beautiful patio and eat amazing food. We had the pork ramen which was so savory and delicious. Definitely get the garlic add on. Service by Daniel was stellar! We will definitely be back.

Google
We are from Saint Louis, MO and came to eat at this restaurant while in Louisville during a work gig based off of a Google recommendation that this was a safe place to eat for someone with celiacs. Daniel was our server and is an absolute delight! The staff is extremely knowledgeable and has a gluten-free menu ready to show, but 80% of their menu is already gluten-free. The fusion recipes are amazing while still holding true to authentic flavors and this restaurant is the reason why I will be coming back to Louisville for my own personal pleasures. I hope one day they will grow large enough as a company to setup shop in my city!

Google
Love the fried chicken and Asian fusion. The flavors were amazing. Crispy delicious skin. Mine were tossed in the sweet soy with cilantro scallions—totally recommend. Soooo good. Homemade egg rolls are more like spring rolls but still good; use the spicy mustard. Huge portion on the brussel sprouts and so tasty. Kimchi Mac and cheese is my new comfort food crave. Great Happy Hour prices on starters and drinks. Excellent service. Cool atmosphere but laid back and adorable inside and out. Outdoor seating with pretty garden. Will definitely be back.

Google
The Chick’n Mi Cherry Ginger Salad was absolutely delicious, and the Chick’n Wraps were just as great! Loved the cute patio area perfect spot for a summer meal. Definitely coming back!

Google
Excellent food, service and atmosphere! I loved the chicken lettuce wraps, and the side order of potatoes! My husband loved the breakfast chicken sandwich and the biscuits! All flavors were spot on, and the service was impeccable! This is now one of our favorite restaurants in Louisville! Highly recommended!

Yelp
Amazing date night spot. We stopped here before a concert and had curry ramen and a chicken sandwich. We also had egg rolls, but we devoured those before I got a photo (there were 3 in the order). It was busy in the restaurant, so I'm glad we made a reservation ahead of time. Service was great. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Well the service and the food were both... bleh. The seating it tight and cramped everyone so close... went with an old friend upon his recommendation and even he was apologizing for it... like well my first experience was great- that's cool. This isn't it. Maybe we will return and see if it will be better and definitely a different server.

Yelp
*from January Went to Chik'n & Mi for the first time and it was awesome! It was super cozy inside and our server was so friendly. We got the fried chicken steam buns, the fried pork egg rolls, the street corn, and the chicken nuggets with sweet soy and hot jeaw bong sauce. My favorite were the steam buns but everything was super flavorful and a 10/10!!

Yelp
Are you read for your taste buds to thank you? I recently indulging in Chik 'n & Mi offerings, and I'm thoroughly impressed. I got to sit outside in the beautiful patio, such a vibrant energy. And ordered a nice tequila cocktail to enjoy the afternoon. Chik 'n & Mi's menu combines the flavors of Southern fried chicken with the savory delights of Asian cuisine. I was went with the fried chicken but will be back to try out the Asian food! The crispy chicken, a hallmark of Southern cuisine, takes center stage in several dishes. The chicken is perfectly seasoned crunch that gives way to tender, juicy meat.

Yelp
Beat the evening rush and was able to find a table indoors. Service from the start was very amicable and prompt. Enjoyed sitting next to a fireplace on a cool night. Waiter asked about allergies and promptly gave me a menu that was off marked with gluten option and what can be made gluten free. Food was amazing, the flavors and tasted very fresh. Definitely recommend this place and hope to one day come back when in the area.

Yelp
I went to Chik'n & Mi tonight with some of my colleagues. I've seen this place many times, wanting to try it, but never have been able to make it until tonight. We started with some chicken and pork belly steamed buns which were ok. One person ordered the Duck Ramen which looked wonderful. She said it was very good. Another colleague ordered the bone-in chicken a little spicy which he really liked and I along with another colleague ordered the small naked chicken bites. I also asked for the sweet soy on the side for dipping. The small was plenty for me. The chicken was fair as it was a little dry for my liking. The real superstars were the sides. We ordered the brussel sprouts and street corn to share. They both were absolutely amazing. Everyone enjoyed those. We were fortunate enough to sit by the fireplace which gave a nicer ambiance. Our waitress was very attentive and the food came out timely. It's definitely worth going back for the share items! Next time I will have to try some of the other share items.

Shawnalee S.

Yelp
My absolute favorite restaurant! From the ambience, to the service, to the food everything is top-notch. The outdoor patio dining is beautiful, but we don't fly away in the winter as they do have a full dining room. On our last trip we were seated next to the fireplace, which was especially nice. Favorites include the calamari, the banana, flower salad, any of the vegetables, and of course, the chicken.

Yelp
Came here for Saturday brunch! Made reservations for 10:30 and it was pretty quiet and empty when we first arrived. It started getting much busier around 10:45 or 11. The staff was very friendly and the inside of the restaurant was very cute! We ordered the huevos rancheros and like a chicken Benedict. The huevos rancheros was our favorite! Both the servings were too big for either of us to finish everything on our plate but we enjoyed eating here. We hope to come back to try lunch or dinner!

Yelp
This is one of my favorite places to go to in Louisville for brunch. It's in a very walkable part of town, with great seating inside, at the bar, and a great patio. The dinner here is delicious, but the brunch is unbelievable. I strongly advise splitting a number of dishes because if you like Asian fusion, you'll want to try almost anything and the portions are generous. We always start with the Breakfast at Tiffany's, which is a mimosa bar with three flavors. Before the main course, I love to indulge in their pork belly steamed buns. I've enjoyed several entrees, including the breakfast burrito, huevos rancheros, and the Benedict. But you can't go wrong with their fried chicken! I usually get small nuggets with potatoes, which also heat up excellently if you can't finish. The service is excellent as well. My wife has a gluten allergy, and they have a separate menu that includes everything she can get. Their servers are knowledgeable and attentive. A great way to start any weekend day!

Yelp
It is a house converted into a restaurant. This makes it a bit more tight knit than a typical restaurant. There was a big group next to us so it was kinda loud but made for great people watching. The service was friendly and we were so thankful we got our order in before the big group even though we were seated after them. I had the pork miso ramen and my husband had the chicken curry ramen. They were delicious. The pork on its own was so flavorful and was plenty of it. The soy soaked egg was the best part (just like any ramen). If you don't like spicy food, the pork miso ramen is safe. The chicken curry ramen is spicy but not extreme. My husband was very happy with his meal. He said he did wish there was a bit more chicken but that was a very minor critique. We loved it and will be back!!!

Yelp
We had been eyeing this place because the reviews were really great. Well, a local couple told us to try it out, so we did. We ordered the Mad Thai Tea it was delicious. The mango beignets....AMAZING!! So good we wanted to order more. And we really enjoyed the curry ramen and chicken noodle soup ramen. We enjoyed all the food except for the chicken, one thing they advertise as a staple in their restaurant. The chicken in the ramen wasn't great. I also ordered the Chicken Benedict, I was excited to have some delicious Korean fried chicken and it was NOT. There was nothing Korean about it, no flavor and no basic seasoning at all. I was really disappointed. McDonald's chicken nuggets tasted better than the chicken on my benedict. Other than the chicken being subpar we enjoyed the service and the ambience of the restaurant.

Yelp
Our server was super helpful in explaining what the sauces and such were considering this was our first time here. The interior was very inviting and despite how packed it was, we were able to get a reservation in right before we arrived during Sunday brunch. I ordered a Miso Pork Ramen and got both spicy and garlic flavor for an extra $1 each. It was delicious but definitely on the saltier side. I really tried to cram all that ramen broth into my stomach before I left but the portion was quite large so I was unsuccessful. As an appetizer, we had gotten the pork buns and fried chicken as it was recommended to us by the server. I really enjoyed the pork buns! I would love to explore this menu more and am definitely going to check it out again. I sense I won't get bored with the diverse menu.

Yelp
Start the timer at 7:16PM! Sat down. 7:18 greeter came to handle the initial drink order as our server was busy. 7:19 waters served. 7:45 order taken! 7:48 drink served - Johnny 8:01 food served. Ramen on point, would do it every time, drinks were refreshing and it didn't take much time. Everyone loved their food and wanted to come back, it didn't take long for our check. Outdoor seating is great on a nice day, you'll just want to watch that evening sun angle!

Yelp
This is such a fun little place! The inside was cute and was hoping from the moment it opened! They had a great drink selection and lots of small plates to choose from. The staff was nice the food was fresh and we enjoyed everything we tried!
google avatar

Connor S.

Yelp
The service staff was very inclusive and incredibly kind throughout the entire menu process. The vibes of this location were incredible as it is family style and clear that everyone is welcomed here. The staff is very knowledgeable about their food and how they source their ingredients. The chicken ramen was a huge miss for me and I'm sad about it. The broth was bland and flavorless, the chicken seemed unseasoned, but the veggies and noodles were decent. The Brussels were good and savory but not in my top 10 that I've had. The pork egg rolls were the best I've ever had, bar none. The key lime pie was tart and refreshing.

Yelp
another great find on the way back to Indiana from Tennessee - my sister was craving noodles, she's DF/GF. gave Chik'n Mi a call to check and they said what we needed to hear. the menu for brunch on a Sunday is honestly perfection - more than enough to choose from to go with a midday beer or cocktail. I wanna come back at night! thanks for lots of water!!! spicy level on fleek.

Yelp
I did a pickup order and the food was hot and ready when I arrived. What I got: the pot de crème, bonito fries, and the fried chicken sandwich. The chicken sandwich was good and crunchy, not too oily. The flavors from the aioli and kimchi slaw really pulled this together for me and elevated the dish. The bonito fries were beyond delicious, however they pile the bonito flakes on high. If you are unsure if you'd like them I'd stay away. The pot de crème was good at first but then took a turn. I think this is where getting a to go order May have messed it up and allowed it to get warm with the hot food. The berries/almonds/crème was good together but the chocolate was a bit too textured and warm for me. Overall: food was tasty, pickup service was quick and easy, I'd bring a friend back.

Yelp
I'd heard a lot about Chik'n and Mi so I had to come and check it out myself. I got a kimchi mac and cheese with their special, beef pho ramen. Their food was alright. The mac and cheese was good, but there wasn't a lot of kimchi. I wondered what the fusion would be like, and it ended up being mostly a regular Mac and cheese with some shredded kimchi here and there. Other than that, it looked and tasted just like a regular mac and cheese. The beef pho ramen was okay. I'm not a big fan of pho so I may not be the best judge, but it tasted like pho with ramen noodles to me. Unfortunately, I found the broth to be very salty. While their food was alright, I did really enjoy the atmosphere. The servers were all very nice and friendly. It felt like a cozy little space, but had a lot of seating. I was able to find a table right away, and although it seemed relatively busy with music and people talking, somehow it didn't feel loud at all, but like a nice, quiet place. I will probably go back to try their chicken and ramen, and hopefully those will be better. Nonetheless, the food was alright, and the environment was great!

Yelp
Have been here for brunch before and the atmosphere is great. Cool decor and very comfortable. We ordered takeout last night and decided to just try some apps and sides. We got the chicken lettuce wraps, fried pork egg rolls, pork belly steam buns, bonito fries, and fried Brussels sprouts. Everything was great but I think the pork belly steak buns and the egg rolls may have been our favorites! Will dine in next time!
google avatar

Dane-Doni A.

Yelp
Food and service. Great down to earth and honest to goodness amazing, delectable food!!! The warm fireplaces were a welcomed reprieve from the blisters snow and ice outside. We've eaten here numerous times, and have never left disappointed. We love this place!
google avatar

Tara K.

Yelp
Rating is for brunch only. The calabrese potatoes were great but otherwise the chicken was dry and flavorless, and the other breakfast dishes were lacking in flavor. Skip the Bloody Mary too. Service, however, was good - checked in multiple times and replaced the Bloody Mary with another drink.
google avatar

Kat N.

Yelp
First impression is that it's a cute place with eclectic decor. Sat outside in the nice weather. Service was good and server was friendly. I really wanted to like the food but it was all average. There was one nice surprise hit of the evening. Pork Belly Bun - 3 stars It would have tasted better if the pork belly was seared but it would still have lacked some flavor. Even the hoisin sauce didn't save it. Banana flower salad - 4 stars Surprise hit! Lots of perfectly ripe avocado made all the difference. And the rice crisp added the needed texture for all the softness in the salad. Dressing was delish. Curry chicken ramen - 3 stars This was okay. Definitely filling if you ate the whole bowl. I liked the egg and baby corn Pan roasted carrots - 2 stars Maybe even 1 star...I couldn't eat more than a couple of bites. They were not baby heirloom carrots like I was expecting so they were not tender and sweet. And the dressing was so tart. Would not recommend.

Bill T.

Yelp
Bar service is lacking. Sat at bar for 15 mins while waiting on table and had bartender ignore a party of 4. Otherwise good meal but avoid the bar area.
google avatar

Shannon T.

Yelp
My friends and I went here for brunch Galentines day brunch one Sunday. I didn't even know they had brunch but I was pleasantly surprised and impressed. The variety of foods from traditional brunch items like chicken and waffles and eggs Benedict were massive. I ordered the chicken and waffles which came with home fries and fruit, it was a a lot of food. The place has a lot of flowers, a fire place, plenty of seating and was very bright and beautiful. The staff was great being sure to bring out boxes for all the food we couldn't finish. They were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately I didn't get one picture of the food which means I'm just have to go back!
google avatar

Taylor M.

Yelp
This place is difficult to rate. The atmosphere is nice and we were seated quickly (with a reservation). However, the service was very slow. He was very nice, but it took a while for our waiter to come back with sauces / checks. The pork belly buns were so tasty. The bun itself was very soft. The whole thing was full of flavor and melts in your mouth. I ordered the chicken and egg sandwich. The potatoes were spicy and delicious. However, the chicken just lacked flavor (even with sauce). It was very dry and seemed to be more fried batter than chicken. It was difficult to bite into and difficult to chew. My friend ordered the miso pork ramen and also said the meat was not very flavorful. We tried the mango beignets, but again they lacked flavor and were a little hard. I would honestly go back just for the pork buns but that's about it.

Yelp
We came here for my birthday dinner! I wanted to pick a place with outstanding reviews that we hadn't tried yet, and we settled on Chik'n & Mi. Although it wasn't quite as amazing as we were hoping, we still had a really nice dinner. We started out with the Wood Ear Mushroom Egg Rolls, since we absolutely love mushrooms, especially new funky varieties. The mushroom flavor here didn't really come through, so those were disappointing. We also started with the Pork Belly Steam Buns. These also fell a little flat, they really benefitted from the sauce that came with them. We did enjoy the ramen that we each got for our entree, and had plenty of yummy leftovers for the next day. The locale is beautiful! It feels super intimate. I love how it is decorated and how they managed to make the building into a functional restaurant. The staff was working hard all night, they were great.
google avatar

Miguel S.

Yelp
Nice place, great ambiance, friendly staff. This restaurant is a good Asian fusion representative. The starters are absolutely bomb. The wood ear spring rolls, the pork buns and the Brussel sprouts are the best choices. The only weak link is the ramen soup which is ok but not exactly stellar. I'd suggest trying the other entrées and sandwiches. Regardless, it is overall a pleasant experience and would recommend it to people who are around the area.

Yelp
Visited on a Friday night with a group of 9, which included children, ages 3 to 11. We had a reservation and were seated promptly in one of the rooms near the back of the restaurant. Drink orders were taken and several of us tried a salted margarita, which was presented in a tall slender glass and garnished with a lemon slice coated in salt. We all commented on the unique presentation and it was refreshingly tasty. We started with several appetizers, including wood ear mushroom egg rolls, 3 pieces of crispy cylinders with mushrooms, vermicelli, cabbage, and carrot, served with hot mustard and sweet chili. We also selected pan roasted carrots with ginger, charred lime, cilantro, toasted poppy seeds and lavender and fried Brussels sprouts, which were crispy and tossed in sesame honey mustard dressing with pepitas, pickled turnips and radish. These were all delicious and worthy of a repeat alone, but terrific in unison. I decided to finish with a cherry ginger salad, which was mixed greens garnished with watermelon radish, zucchini, yellow squash, mint, almonds and cherry ginger vin. Great ideas for a unique salad and quite satisfying on so many levels. Noise level was moderate. Seating was fairly comfortable, perhaps a bit cramped, and service was attentive and overall terrific. Restaurant setting is cute in a repurposed house with a cottage vibe. Parking was a slight challenge for a Friday night, but not impossible, and a bit of a walk is ultimately a good thing and supposedly aids in digestion -- at least so I've been told. Looking forward to returning and repeating menu selections and also venturing into the menu further.

Yelp
Wow this place is as great! Thank you Yelp! The restored home turned restaurant is beautiful and serving some delicious food. I started with the fried cauliflower. It was seasoned in a way I have never had before. I really enjoyed the seeds that produced a different texture. I also loved the sauce which was a little tangy. I ordered the smaller nuggets with two side sauces. The nuggets were crispy and flavorful. The extra hot sauce packs a punch! It was so good! Our service from the bartender was friendly and engaging. Prices were decent for what you get. The parking situation is a little tight and I'm sure it gets super hard to find a spot. I would highly recommend checking this spot out.
google avatar

Dianne G.

Yelp
We're from out of town and decided to go with the reviews for dinner. We ordered both chicken and pork miso ramen and they were decent. The pork rolls was over fried but still tasted pretty good. We also got the calamari which was cooked perfect and that aioli sauce complimented everything that came with it. The Asian fried chicken was pretty tasty also...ask for "the bobby" flavor if you want to try something different and you won't be disappointed. They have outdoor seating and the parking area so you won't have to worry parking on the side of the road. I'll give 5 stars to our server Josh for being attentive and had the patience to answer all our questions about their menu. Thank you for giving our kids a slice of cheesecake, we all enjoyed it

Yelp
I am a Louisiana girl with a traveler's heart. I saw this restaurant and had to stop in for a bite. We decided to order To-Go after such a long day. My server John B was superb. He told us all about the history of the building. Next, he requested I try something different for this visit. He has some neat sake. I started with Takara Kurokame. I did not care for it at ALL. I did enjoy the Ozeki Nigori. What an exceptional appetizer it tasted delightful. The bonito fries are made from house cut potato, black garlic aioli, mixed herbs, and bonito (fish) flakes. This was an amazing dish my mouth is watering just thinking about this. Then the pork belly steam buns out of the world. Just the dough for the taco was incredibly soft. With all the rain and cold weather this Pork Ramen Soup was the perfect to-go dish. The chef's skills were authentic. I encourage you to look at my photos.

Yelp
The building is a remolded home that is gorgeous. The food was amazing. I had fried checkin as a celiac person and didn't get sick. The facility was very busy however you would not have known that from the staff.

Yelp
To be honest, I've been coveting this place for years and just haven't made the time to go. This week, I MADE time. Guys, when I tell you you HAVE TO GO here, I'm really not kidding. The vibe, the food, and menu, is all amazing. But what really stands out the most, is the staff - they really like each other!!!!! It was amazing watching them work together, laugh together, help each other, and truly work in synchrony. The pork belly bao - I will seriously continue to dream about. The cauliflower was good and had a super delish complex flavor, but I wanted it to be crisper. The corn? Shut the front door, it was sooo good. And the bonito fries..... who the hell even knows what bonito is, really? Delish. That's what it is. Freaking delish. Well was our waiter, and I'll literally go back just because he was so amazing..... go you guys. Not kidding! Better yet- go, and invite me to happy hour with you! I'm dying to go back!!

Yelp
Chik'n & Mi more like put that chicken in me! Now I must confess I have something weighing greatly on my chest... I have dined at this establishment prior to my visit on the fine night. However my review is fully transparent. For water I ordered a drink. That drink was water. It tasted good with a hint of cold. Would get again. For an appetizer I ordered the calamari and the bonito fries. The calamari is good if you enjoy putting foreign meats in your mouth and if that's your thing I would say give it a try. Although it was a tad greasy maybe that's best to have the meat go down. The bonito fries were good but not as good as I've had them in the past. For my main course I ordered the five peace meat naked of course with ranch. (All meats are best naked). It was quite the experience. The mix was one leg and a few breasts so it was definitely an adventure fitting those different meats in. Overall it was a good experience and our server Dan was AMAZING! (Not sure what his name was). He checked in many times and made sure I was full what a guy. I apologize for the length of this review but the best things come long. Now on the gas or ass scale this one is tricky. It's not ass but today it was not gas. But it is surely not a pass. Well say smash for today. Now I'm off to get a coffee black of course. As I say once you go black you can never go back!

Yelp
One of our new go to's in Louisville. Great place. Can't get back quick enough. See ya soon.
google avatar

Yelp
I don't know what the big deal is about this place, but it was absolutely horrendous including how we were treated. I will never go back and do not recommend you go either. Anybody can take a dried up square of Ramen and throw it in some tasteless broth and over charge for it. Lots of fancy menu descriptions that add up to nothing. Spare yourselves.
google avatar

Maggie S.

Yelp
The food was absolutely amazing, the service was great, our waitress was very nice and had a good balance of chattiness and work. The ramen, pork buns, kimchi, and all gluten free options were mouthing watering. The music was great and definitely added to the experience as a whole.
google avatar

Brittney K.

Yelp
Super trendy and busy with a fun atmosphere. I enjoyed a variety of food including the ramen and fried chicken. I'd definitely recommend trying this place if you have a chance.

Yelp
It's been too long! Never again! We made a pit stop after visiting the Butchertown Fair. It was Saturday and technically brunch, which alters the menu a bit. No reservation needed. The patio had several shaded tables. I started with two 5oz beers. It was nice to get a small taste of fruiter beers, and they were great, something I'd never order without an option to try a smaller drink. The fried cauliflower blew us away. Full of flavor and other toppings that paired nicely with it. My son and I split several options and we left nothing on our plates - lettuce wraps, chicken nuggets, pork buns and mango beignets. My husband enjoyed his bowl of ramen. Service was fantastic, and I appreciated the water bottle left at the table. It was so much fun to enjoy the weather and sample the menu. Looking forward to coming back!

Yelp
I stopped in for a early lunch. I picked it based on the online menu. I ordered the Killer Queen Bloody Mary. It was very spicy and hard to drink. I did enjoyed the pickled vegetables that came on the garnished skewer. I chose the chicken lettuce wraps and the chicken noodle ramen. At the last minute I decided to throw on the Calabrese potatoes which I'm thankful that I did. The food came out all at once, no appetizer first. The noodle ramen had a good flavor but it lacked vegetables. The pieces were extremely small. The chicken was in large chunks which made them difficult to eat. I made it the garlic lovers which added a nice flavor boost. The lettuce wraps were dry and came with two accompanying sauces. One was like a chili vinaigrette and the other was a THICK peanut sauce. I would have loved to have a soy based type of sauce. I grabbed a hot mustard from the waitress and that was on point. The best part of the meal was by far the potatoes. They were deep fried chunks tossed in a Calabrian chili sauce. I really enjoyed them.

Yelp
Food and drinks were pretty good. Most of the food is def on the spicier side, but I'm also a total wimp when it comes to spice. Tho pretty much no one finished their potatoes because they were too spicy for all of us. The Cure entrees were all loved by everyone. The only thing we all agreed was a miss were the beignets, which were not beignets. They were very dense and had no mango flavor. They were good if you didn't go into it expecting a beignet, but when you're expecting a beignet, they were disappointing. Service was good. Everyone was nice and our waitress was great at answering our questions and helping us pick something. Place was adorable and fun.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious food and the Breakfast at Tiffany's personal mimosa bar was amazing too. Great ambiance and service as well! I will be back!

Yelp
Met a friend here and had a great experience! We started off with the steam fried chicken buns and a salad. Yummy! although we were getting full, we both ordered a bowl of Roman she ordered the chicken noodle ramen with a kick of garlic and, I, a scallop, ramen special. We finished off our meal with a pot code crème. Which was a nice finish to an otherwise decadent meal. We have plenty of like leftovers to take home and decided this would be our new meet up spot

Yelp
The food and service here is spectacular! I have never been disappointed with anything I've eaten here. It's where all my friends want to eat when they come to town. We are here today and, once again, it was incredible. They made creative custom mocktails for our kids. My son ordered a plain chicken sandwich and said he doesn't like sauces. They were thoughtful and left the sauce off his potatoes as well. Every bite I had was a flavor explosion!!! Go there, order something you normally wouldn't, I promise it will be amazing!!!

Yelp
Gluten Free- Yes, Item specific Casein Free- Yes, Item specific Chik'n & Mi makes some of the best gluten free fried chicken that I have found in. Highlights- +/- Parking - There is a relatively small lot attached to the restaurant; however, you may find yourself looking for street parking nearby. + Food- Honestly, I was surprised at the number of items that they could make GF or was naturally gluten free. For the fried chicken, they use a completely separate fryer to avoid cross contamination. The modifications didn't detract from the overall flavor. The coating (a mixture of tapioca) made for a crispy flavorful skin. The sweet soy (Tamari) is the way to go. +GF Menu- Make sure to ask for it if needed. It is the current menu that is marked up to let you know what is available, as well as the substitutions that need to be made. +Price/Quality - The prices were beyond fair for the charge and quality of the food, especially when you take into account the GF factor (there was no freaking up charge!). You can get out of here with spending less than $20 tax/tip/soda easily. +Service - extremely helpful, prompt , and wonderful +Seating - There were tables inside spread across what appears to be an older house that has had the floor plan opened up. There is also a nice patio area with additional seating during nicer days. I definitely plan to stop by again when passing through town.

Yelp
Chik'n & Mi has been on my Louisville bucket list for years now... Being the ramenheads that we are, my husband and I were looking for a new place to check out with some. This place gives all the cozy vibes. It is inside a house, so the atmosphere is great. Everyone is so friendly here too, which definitely adds to that. They have a bunch of different options on their menu, but I had heard a lot about their fried chicken wings so I decided to try some for myself.... AMAZING! My husband ordered the ramen... the look on his face was enough to tell me that it was just as great. This place has been a staple in this city for a good while now, and I hope it's here to stay a lot longer!

Yelp
I saw someone recommend this place on social media so I wanted to check it out. The place itself is cute and it's located at a house. The decor is cute inside and the outside patio is lovely as well! We got the miso pork belly ramen and it wasn't as great as I hoped it would be. It lacked flavor in my opinion, and you couldn't really taste the miso. The fried chicken we got was great though and I liked the pork belly steam buns! We also got the Asian slaw which was also okay for me too, but my boyfriend liked it. Overall, my favorites were the Asian free bird chicken and the pork belly steamed buns. If you do come, I would recommend sitting inside since there were a lot of flies outside when we went.

Yelp
The food was good I.E the mango beignets & tofu scrambled. But the service is so bad and slow!!! Waited 15 mins after sitting down to even try to get water- then waited 10 mins to even get a glass to drink. We placed our order ( apps & meal) with the drinks & were the only ones out on the patio but waited so long to even receive our apps and then waited even longer to receive our meal but the other folks who also sat after us received all there food and drinks before we did. We were only a party of 3 and waited over an hour for food. Very disappointed and would not recommend. It's not worth it. Highly disappointed for the service received was shitty. finally got my meal & the portion for tofu and cauliflower was literally small as a cup and the plate was filled with salad which wasn't even part of my meal. Never got the fruit. Not worth $14. Was a waste of fucking time.
