Visited on a Friday night with a group of 9, which included children, ages 3 to 11. We had a reservation and were seated promptly in one of the rooms near the back of the restaurant.
Drink orders were taken and several of us tried a salted margarita, which was presented in a tall slender glass and garnished with a lemon slice coated in salt. We all commented on the unique presentation and it was refreshingly tasty.
We started with several appetizers, including wood ear mushroom egg rolls, 3 pieces of crispy cylinders with mushrooms, vermicelli, cabbage, and carrot, served with hot mustard and sweet chili. We also selected pan roasted carrots with ginger, charred lime, cilantro, toasted poppy seeds and lavender and fried Brussels sprouts, which were crispy and tossed in sesame honey mustard dressing with pepitas, pickled turnips and radish. These were all delicious and worthy of a repeat alone, but terrific in unison.
I decided to finish with a cherry ginger salad, which was mixed greens garnished with watermelon radish, zucchini, yellow squash, mint, almonds and cherry ginger vin. Great ideas for a unique salad and quite satisfying on so many levels.
Noise level was moderate. Seating was fairly comfortable, perhaps a bit cramped, and service was attentive and overall terrific. Restaurant setting is cute in a repurposed house with a cottage vibe.
Parking was a slight challenge for a Friday night, but not impossible, and a bit of a walk is ultimately a good thing and supposedly aids in digestion -- at least so I've been told.
Looking forward to returning and repeating menu selections and also venturing into the menu further.
